New vampire met ancient vampire as Bella and Drake squared off against one another and she noticed Drake's hands were claws.
In the back of her mind Bella heard Lilly say, Thought follows action Bella, imagine your hands as claws the rest will take care of itself!
Drake watches as Bella's hands became claws and he thought, she may have gotten the idea from Lilly, but she is learning… fast…
Sparring started off at a human pace so Bella could get the hang of it and then ever so slowly Drake would pick up the pace and the intensity.
As the speed of the session increased, Tanya, Lilly and Kate felt like they were being hit by one strong wave of water after another, as reverberations moved through their bodies.
The temperature was -79.8 degrees not that the fighters took any notice at that point the fiction of air around them started to create heat so intense the observers needed to move back in fear of bursting into flame. The snow around them in a 9-foot radius had melted to the point where bear earth could be seen.
Eleazar walked up beside Lilly, "Lilly, Your Transformation?"
With a light chuckle Lilly said, "Drake and I don't have the same anatomy as your normal human, we have a flexible exoskeleton, that allows us alter our form at the musculoskeletal level and take on the appearance of a different people."
Giving Eleazar a sideways glance Lilly explained, "We are able to alter our height, weight even the colors of our eyes, hair, and skin"
Holding the best part for last Lilly told them, "In some cases we cand change the appearance of our clothing."
Drake called out, "Don't give away all our secrets!"
"I see!" Eleazar said in a willowy aged voice.
"Before you ask, Drake and I have the ability hibernate slowing going into a deep sleep, by human standards it mimics death itself!"
"As-long-as we remained asleep, we don't feel the hunger of the burn.
All three vampires looked at Lilly dumbfounded.
"We can hibernate for hundreds of thousands of years if we need to." Lilly said, "It was Bella's attempted leap from the cliff that woke me!"
"H-How long!" Kate exclaimed nervously looking at the ancient vampire.
"How long was I in hibernation?" Lilly asked as Kate nodded giving her a speculative sideways glance.
"We went down in the 22nd Century B.C." Lilly said offhandedly, not taking her eyes off the fight saying, "Our food source was dying off, it was hibernation or death."
"So, until 6 months ago you hadn't had a drop of blood since the 3rd millennium BC?" Tanya said, "I thought we had good control of our bloodlust!"
"Slowing your metabolism to below the point of death helps!" Lilly said knowingly.
Bella and Drake took a break from sparring as Drakes endurance far exceeded Bella's.
As they were walking back Bella called "Mom, Tanya."
"A private word!"
Lilly had a feeling she knew what was coming but once they were out of hearing range of the coven Bella said, "I want to try hunting…"
Looking from Lilly to Tanya, Bella tentatively said, "I want to try hunting humans."
Tanya didn't look disappointed on some level she understood Bella's request it was part of being a vampire!
Tanya's only question was, "Are you sure milovanú?"
Bella nodded saying, "I've decided to adopt mom's diet, and she hunt's both as needed!"
Lilly's only question was, "Male or Female?"
Tanya said, "For a beginner female are easier to take down!"
"Nyssa" Lilly said into her phone, "I need 2 females that have used up all their appeals!
"Hold on!" Placing her hand over the receiver Lilly saying, "Tanya, I didn't want to speak for you, I know how much not hunting humans means to you!"
"Thank you, Lilly, better make it three!" Tanya said, "She is my mate, it's my right to teach her this!"
"Nyssa, make that three!" Lilly said softly.
"Understood!"
"We can hold a hunt tomorrow!" Lilly said.
Bella had a wicked grin on her face and through both the mate bond she shared with Tanya and the sire bond she shared with Lilly Bella asked, "You 2 want to help me with a prank on Kate!"
Laughing Tanya said, "That's brilliant, Bella!"
"TANYA!" Kate said loudly, moments later Tanya came running in saying, "Yes Kate!"
Two seconds later Tanya came running in again and stood beside the first Tanya and said, "Yes Kate!"
Two seconds after that a third Tanya came running in saying, "Yes Kate!"
The corner of Kate's eye started to twitch and then she froze becoming a still as a statue, "The first Tanya looked at the second and said, "I think she's broken!"
The third Tanya appraised Kate herself and said, "She'll live!"
Slowly Kate came out of the shock of seeing 3 embodiments of her oldest sister saying, "What a nightmare!"
The perfect harmony of all three Tanya's asked, "What nightmare was that Kate!"
Looking up the first thing Kate said was "No-No-no, no, no!" as she ran from the house.
