Author Note
I shall soon start work on the next story in this series which will take place in Westeros and now that the first level of this CYOA is coming to an end I need some idea of what will happen next. I plan to buy the sick ride since having a form of transport that can fly or become a sub will be a huge advantage to the group in a medieval setting, but beyond that, I don't have anything planned.
Going after the Night King works because it will earn the player some extra points to spend, and he would have to be dealt with at some point, so he could stay North of the Wall and try to build an army of Wildings to fight the Walkers. Maybe he should arrive before the show starts, build his own army marry a certain Targayarn and liberate slavers bay with as little bloodshed as possible.
As for new consorts, he'll need to bring someone with him who knows about living in a medieval fantasy land. Maybe Ciri from the Witcher game since she has some experience with moving worlds. I'd have to limit her world-hopping ability to worlds already accessed by the CYOA, so just Westeros and the Wizarding World or the story would get out of hand. That would be useful for grabbing anything left behind and they can keep using Twycross Manor as a base of operations.
There are options to bring in an alien entity or a portal to another world, which could be done due to a glitch in the system rather than his choice. Would you guys like that? It has to be a world on the list, but wouldn't it be cool if Orcs from Mordor invaded Westeros and forced the different nobles to fight together as the Witch-King marches his army of orcs towards Kings Landing.
Let me know your ideas and I'll use those than inspire to write. I need enough ideas for a story that lasts a few years so don't be shy.

I won't be travelling to Avatar as I know nothing about it.

The only things they will take with them from this level is what they have on their person when they complete the objective, and that will be a lot thanks to pouches of holding. To help with that I'll buy perks, first for a transport and then a base of operations that is in its own pocket dimension.

World 1 - Harry Potter
Part 14
Hogwarts. Wizarding World.
While within the Room of Requirement, which this time had taken the form of study/lab as Raven, Hermione and I worked on things that interested us once we'd gotten all caught up with our schoolwork. I was taking the next step towards mastering wandless magic. I'd gotten to point that I could move a small object with just a gesture as I'd trained myself to use minor bits of magic that way. I could summon things right into my hand and float feathers without the use of my wand.
Now it was time to take wandless magic to the next level as my weak level of telekinesis is all well and good for showing off here at Hogwarts, but it wasn't going to help me much against dark mages, dangerous magical creatures and the kind of things we'd encounter in other universes. With this in mind, it seemed like a good idea to come up with a method of doing some damage using magic without a wand.
Since the wandless magic of this world never went beyond simple gestures for simple effects, at least here in Europe I would either have to go to one of the schools of magic in other parts of the world or come up with my own system. I wanted to be able to perform a number of spells with just one hand in case the other had to hold a sword or something like that.
That had gotten me thinking about Witchers. Though they are not true warrior mages who employ powerful magic, Witchers can cast simple magic spells that can prove effective when used properly. Witchers call these spells signs and usually use them against monsters, though they also have non-combat applications. Because of the signs, witchers prefer single-handed weaponry since it leaves their other hand free to cast. Some of the signs are cast by arranging the fingers of the free hand in a specific way.
There was Aard, which was a telekinetic wave that can throwback, knockdown or stun an opponent, in some ways it was much like the banishing charm. This sign can also be used to destroy obstacles, for example crumbling walls or stacks of barrels.
A wandless banishing charm that I would channel from my hand with the palm facing towards whatever it was I wanted to hit with a banishing charm would look a lot like the Jedi Force Push as The Banishing Charm sends an object away from the caster and the target object is said to have been Banished. It should look very cool if I could get it to work.
Also, there was Yrden, which was a magical trap placed on the ground, if triggered it will wound and immobilize opponents I didn't know a Wizarding World version of that so I decided to focus elsewhere since I didn't want to spend lots of time trying to figure out how to bewitch a surface so that it would explode or something like that if someone stepped on it. Such a thing could be effective, but it was far too likely to hurt some random passerby.
Quen a protective shield that lasts for 30 seconds at the sign's basic level. It is a sign that Geralt uses on himself so that quen absorbs all damage directed at Geralt, and in the wizarding world there was the Sheild Charm which I was pretty good at and being able to cast it without a wand could be very useful in the future.
Igni, an offensive sign which is used to deal some instant fire damage to enemies. It might be possible to combine a fire creating spell with the banishing charm, with one coming from each hand, but casting two different spells at the same time seemed needlessly complex and dangerous. I might be better off focusing on spells meant to disable an enemy because if they are disabled I can then kill them with a wand spell or simply stab them with a sword.
Then there is Axii a charm placed on an opponent. If the charm attempt is successful, the enemy will become your ally for a short while, fighting at your side. Outside of combat, it was used somewhat like the Jedi Mind Trick. In this world, they had The Confundus Charm (Confundo) which is a charm which causes confusion in a person or it can be even to used bewitch an object. It appears that there are varying degrees of confusion caused by the spell, from simply tricking a person or thing about a specific incident to confusing a person to the point at which they will endanger themselves.
Although the spell creates no light or sound when cast, it can be detected if another person has been "Confunded" as they call when someone who is under the influence of the Confundus charm, but this can be seen only immediately after the spell has been cast; the person will shudder when the spell hits them. In long term, it will cause any of varying degrees of confusion, from a simple trick to make a person believe that they have come up with a complex plan when the said plan was given to them by the caster. It can also be used on inanimate objects that have a level of sentience, as Barty Crouch Jr. did with the Goblet of Fire, though this was noted to be a difficult task, as the Goblet itself was a powerful magical artefact.
My biggest desire for wandless magic was shoot lightning from my fingertips as what self-respecting nerd who had access to magic wouldn't want to be able to scream 'Unlimited Power' while frying their enemies with bolts of some kind of electricity. However, given that such spells were advanced magic it might be best to use a wand since wood isn't known as conductor for electricity so there would be less chance of zapping myself.
"This looks interesting" commented Hermione.
I couldn't exactly hide what I was doing from her since I was writing on a few huge blackboards.
"Yes, it is" I agreed "I'm trying to come with a way to use hand gestures in spellcasting beyond simple gestures".
I was sure that there some African wizards who could show me this, but it way cooler in my mind to base the spells off those used in the Witcher games because then no one other than me would know where they came from and what they could do as long as I didn't add someone from that universe to my harem, and while this was something I might do I could just order them not to spread the knowledge around.
"Why not simply use a wand?" she asked.
Hermione was smart, but she did sometimes have trouble realising that not all of life's answers can be provided by a book/parent/teacher. If people didn't seek answers to their questions by experimenting then many great inventions wouldn't exist.
"Wands can break, be taken from you or be lost" I answered, "But hands are harder to misplace".
In theory, a wizard such as myself can channel magic through anything, wands are just the simplest to use, they are also lightweight, easy to conceal, not too expensive to replace, and making casting spells easy so I could see the appeal in them when compared to wandless magic which took a more effort and could more easily backfire.
"Anyway I'm working on gestures for a number of spells" I went to say "Spells that I think will come in useful later and that I might need to use quickly. I can still wave my wand for the more complex stuff, but if are attacked I want some spells I can use right away".
Hermione nodded.
"That makes sense" she stated, "I dropped my wand once and went under my bed. I had to get down under the bed to get it back because I couldn't see it in the dark. If I could make light without a wand it would be useful".
Like a version of Lumos, the light spell, a version that you could hold in your hand. I felt pretty sure that Remus Lupin knew a spell such as that and showed as much when the Dementors boarded the train in the third book. Perhaps I could ask about spells that create light during our next lesson.
"You can charm crystals to produce light," Luna told us from where she was reading in a huge stuffed chair "Maybe you could use a crystal instead of a wand to produce Lumos for when you lose your wand".
I gave this some thought.
"Is it possible to charm a crystal to emit light without holding it?" I wondered "Something you could turn on and off. If nothing else it would make a great nightlight".
Much better than a candle which can be a fire hazard or an old oil lamp.
"Why don't we have already have something like that?" questioned Hermione "Why does everything in the Magical World need to be so old fashioned?".
Because they were primitive in many ways. Most witches and wizards seemed not to have left the Victorian era. From what I understood once you left Hogwarts having sex outside of marriage was frowned upon (your time at Hogwarts was meant to be the time you got such behaviour out of your system before becoming a respectable witch or wizard) and there was very little in the way of innovation. This was something I reminded Hermione about as we had discussed this before.
"Wizards and witches can live a long time," I said, "In my experience the older you get the more scared you become of change because you become more settled in your ways. Besides any real change would threaten the Purebloods and their hold on the magical world".
Hence why I would have given real thought to becoming a Dark Lord and forcibly changing the Magical World if I had to stay here. It wasn't as if the schoolwork was challenging me and this society wasn't too hard to understand once you looked past the surface so I had plenty of time to figure this whole wandless magic stuff out.
"If you're thinking of using gestures you might consider using three movements per spell as three is a magical number, more powerful than one, but not as good seven" Hermione was now saying to me "Seven movements would take top long and be too hard to remember, were as three movements will be easier and make the spell more powerful. For example, knocking three times on a door when casting the Unlocking Charm would be more effective than just knocking once".
Even Muggles knew that certain numbers had more power than others. Seven is considered lucky were as 13 is bad luck, in the magical world this can be proven to be true, however, it should be noted that the number 13 only causes mild bad luck. Seven and three boost the power of spells, seven most of all hence why Voldemort wanted to make six Horcruxes so that with the bit of soul remaining it would be divided into seven. Although I'd have gone with 3 at the most so that my soul was too badly damaged. Not that I wanted to make a Horcrux as well understood that I was not capable of cold-blooded murder. You couldn't just execute a criminal or a dangerous magical beast, you had to willingly kill an innocent person, someone who couldn't fight back, someone who no threat to you, in order to create a Horcrux.
"Learning some wandless magic would be a good idea" stated Luna "We should all be able to do a few simple spells without a wand before we leave school".
I had no idea if this just her speaking with common sense or she'd foreseen something as Seers are hard to understand.
"Can you teach us?" requested Hermione "I wouldn't mind being able to do something that most Purebloods can't do".
I turned to Raven.
"You'll have to talk to her about the mental exercises needed to help you focus," I told the witches who were native to this world "Then I go show you the basics".
The former Teen Titan looked annoyed at being volunteered.
"At least you both know to perform Occlumency," said Raven "That's a good start since wandless magic takes a lot of self-control. James, you should join in as well as a refresher course on these mental exercises will make it less likely that you will hurt yourself with the spells you want to cast".
She was right so I decided to join in.

Twycross Manor. Wizarding World.
"I feel so stupid," I said.
Mere seconds ago I'd banished the spirit of Cadmus Peverell, who in life had been a pure-blood wizard and the middle of the three Peverell brothers. Cadmus, like his brothers, was skilled in the magical arts and had been described as being an arrogant man, although death had humbled him somewhat. Cadmus and his brothers were the inspiration for The Tale of the Three Brothers and thus the original masters of the Deathly Hallows. Cadmus was said to have possessed the Resurrection Stone, though the exact circumstances of this are unknown to anyone who hadn't used the Stone to ask him about. In reality, the Deathly Hallows had not been gifts from Death but rather inventions of the Peverells themselves. Given that there are no means for Beedle to know of what really happened the story is simply a story.
Since the members of the Gaunt Wizarding family are direct descendants of Cadmus Peverell, it was certain that Cadmus had at least one child in his lifetime. It is not specified if the woman he intended to marry was the mother, or if Cadmus had fathered children from a previous or later relationship. I hadn't bothered to enquire about that since we'd had better things to talk about and frankly it was none of my business.
"I didn't figure it out either" reminded Raven me.
What we'd just learned from the creator of the Stone was that any spirit could be banished or summoned from the afterlife with the Stone, and this included the parts of souls in Horcruxes, which meant that we could have forced out the parts of Riddle in the artefacts he perverted and then kept them for ourselves. There would have been no point in the doing that with diary since it would then just be an old book and we had the only part of the ring that mattered, but we could have saved the locket and the diadem.
The diadem was supposed to have enhanced the wearer's wisdom, and that would have been helpful when making our plans because with it we might have realised sooner our big mistake. As for the locket, aside from it needing to be opened by a snake or someone who spoke snake, no one knew what can kind of powers the locket had possed and while we could ask Salazar himself there seemed little point doing so if the locket was gone.
"Can you imagine how our schoolhouse would have reacted if we found the diadem and presented it to Professor Flitwick?" I asked Raven "They'd have all turned green with envy".
The former Teen Titan smirked at me.
"You're not very good at keeping a low profile" she commented.
Yeah, that had been part of the plan, not sure when I forgot that. As for diadem, well, I wouldn't have been able to keep it as the school would claim it but I would have won the right to look like a smug bastard for a while.
"Okay so if we can banish spirits after summoning them we should be able to get rid of Binns as planned" I was now saying "and we should test that now".
It was generally accepted amongst wizards that a ghost was the disembodied soul of the deceased. I tentatively disagreed with that stance, mostly because I'd found a mention in a book about Dementor's that stated that they showed no particular interest in ghosts. If a ghost was essentially a disembodied soul then why would a soul-sucking monster ignore them? But perhaps ghosts were ignored them as animals were because they lacked a human's level of emotions?.
"Put the hood of your cloak up" I instructed.
We summoned Binns, who did appear as Cadmus Peverell had told us he would. Despite Cadmus having died hundreds of years ago his use of the English Language had been understandable despite being somewhat old fashioned. Which was another confusing thing about spirits because Herpo the Foul had mostly just screamed at us in Ancient Greek.
Upon banishing Binns I checked the Map, which ghosts normally appeared on, and found that he was gone from his office. Since he only ever went between his office and the classroom, and it was nighttime, it seemed he was gone. We wouldn't know for sure until some time past, since the spirit might just be outside of the castle, but that seemed unlikely and even if he did somehow end up back at Hogwarts all he'd seen of this house was a room in the basement that contained two hooded figures. There would no way to identify us.
"Next up is Hepzibah Smith," I said.
I turned the Stone three times, called out her name, and before long an overweight woman who looked as if dressed to hide her age, appeared before us.
"Can I help you?" she asked.
I'd decided to call her up so as to fact check about Hufflepuff's Cup in case it wasn't a Horcrux and wasn't in Bellatrix's vault. It would be bad if we broke into the bank only to later find out that in this timeline Tom Riddle had used something else as a Horcrux. According to Hepzibah Smith, the cup in its own right possesses magical powers, but she also said that she had not thoroughly investigated the matter. As it turned out it had indeed been stolen by Tom Riddle after Hepzibah's murder; he planted a false memory in Hepzibah's house-elf Hokey's mind so that she would be blamed for the death. Hepzibah's memory of the event was quite clear.
The cup was a creation of Helga Hufflepuff, the celebrated Founder of Hufflepuff House. It was described as a shining golden cup with two finely wrought handles on either side and a badger engraved on its surface. The cup was said to possess many magical powers, though the exact nature of those powers is not known. Hufflepuff was brilliant with food-related charms and with house-elves, so the cup may have been one of the very first dining utensils at Hogwarts to assist in the magical transportation of food from the House-Elf Kitchens. The cup remained with Hufflepuff until the time of her death at least according to the records.
"We need to get that cup and drive the bit of soul out of it using the Stone" I decided "I'd rather not test it on Harry Potter in case it somehow goes wrong".
Should it work and we were able to free the Chosen One of his bit of extra soul then Potter could use the Stone to summon Voldemort's spirit and banish so that Prophecy should be satisfied. After all, the Prophecy said 'Vanquish The Dark Lord' not 'Kill The Dark Lord' so Tom Riddle didn't need to be alive for Potter to defeat him.
"We can talk to Hufflepuff herself about the Cup once we have it," I said to Raven.
I wouldn't use the stone again for a while because despite me not wanting to kill myself its overuse could have other harmful effects. If there was a personification of Death in this world I didn't want him/she or it coming here to have words with me about bothering the dead.
"The cup belongs to the Smith family" I was now saying "It was stolen from Hepzibah, so we should return it. After we discover what powers it possesses and if it's safe to hand it over since the goblins might know it's in Bellatrix's vault".
I doubted the goblins cared what you kept in your vaults as while they kept track of the money coming in and out of vaults why would they care if you store some family heirloom in the vault as you long as pay for the vault they are making a profit.
"You know I've read that each of the Founders had a hidden room in the castle," Raven told me "I don't know if its actually true, but you've seen the Chamber of Secrets and I think that the Room of Requirement is Ravenclaw's hidden room as she was supposed to be really good at complex spellwork. So maybe there's a Hufflepuff room somewhere in the castle".
I soon got an idea of where this was going.
"We steal the cup, cleanse it and then stash it in Hufflepuffs room, which Hufflepuff will know all about," I said, "Then we lure some Hufflepuffs to the room and let them reclaim the cup".
Of course, we could just keep the cup even if had no claim to it, but unless it had some really useful powers that worked outside of Hogwarts I didn't see any reason to deny the rightful owners of their family treasure. Besides, I had one of the Deathly Hallows, and for now, that was enough since Raven had pointed out that having more power wouldn't solve my problems. Not when I lacked fine control and I still had my wandless magic to perfect.
"So we'll go after the cup during the summer and then talk to Potter when we're ready to leave since banishing Voldemort should complete our objective even if we never go after any more Death Eaters," Raven said to me "The hard part will be convincing Potter that we aren't crazy. Should we take our idea to Dumbledore?".
I'd already considered this.
"No. The person we need to convince is Sirus Black," I told her "He can get Potter on board with the idea if we can convince his godfather. Potter has no reason to trust us, but Black does".
I carefully put this universe's version of the Soul Stone back its box.
"We planned to hunt Death Eaters over the summer," I said, "We might as well grab the cup as well and then contact Sirus Black".
Raven looked thoughtful.
"So do we return for a third year at Hogwarts?" she asked.
I'd long since lost interest in the lessons as now that I understood the basics it was simpler to teach myself than listen to the teachers drone on about things I didn't care about. I did the bare amount of work in class and my witches handled most of my homework for me. I'd never really been one for the classroom, not everyone learns best that way. Even Charms, which was by far my favourite class could only progress as fast as the slowest student so often Raven and I were left with nothing to while the less talented students struggled.
"Yes," I finally decided "We'll become Animagus before we leave this world. Once we've mastered that then we deal with Voldemort as my Pensive should be ready by then".
I really wanted one of those things as they seemed very useful.

Hogwarts. The Magical World.
"You're up late, Minerva," she heard Professor Flitwick's say.
The deputy headmistress was sitting her office, and since she'd left her door open, and her fellow Head of House was patrolling the castle this night, as such it was no surprise that he'd popped in to talk with her.
"I'm just working on some preparations for the end-of-year exams. If I don't get this started now, it will result in chaos later on" the senior staff member explained, "Not to mention the OWL and NEWT exams that have to be scheduled".
She stopped writing for a moment.
"Is there something you actually wanted or is this just a social call?" the busy teacher asked.
She knew the half-goblin well enough to know that he wanted something.
"Ah, I just wanted to get copies of the ranking lists for all years, like every year. I know where you keep them and I thought I didn't need to bother you when you already have so much to do," Flitwick explained, "I won't be but a moment".
No surprises here as he checked them out every year. They were a collection of documents which predicted who would do well in the exams based on the work done while in class and out of it. The teachers used previous years work, the marks of essays and classroom work to estimate the grades of the students at the end of year exams. The predicted grades tended to work as a goal to reach or even as something to surpass as well as a warning for those students who needed to work harder if they had any chance of returning for another year.
"I see. Well, you can take them, they've already been done. If the results of the end-of-year exams mirror what we've seen so far, my house won't get many top spots. You will probably get the top first-year students yet again" McGonagall said, "Not that this will be strange".
Ravenclaw was considered to be the house for the smarty pants for a good reason.
"I thought you would have been more confident in Miss Granger for taking the top spot?" Flitwick asked a little surprised "she seems bright enough and she came close last year".
The young lass had been doing very well in his class.
"Please, Filius I'm sure you've noticed that the girl is not as smart as she appears to be" the deputy headmistress stated "She reads a lot and repeats much of it verbatim. She also prepares well for lessons, so it's normal that her classmates would get the impression of her being a top rate student, but you and I both know that's more to magic than simply reading about it, she needs to actually understand what she reads".
Flictwit found that he couldn't disagree.
"I think your Miss Roth will prove to be the top scorer among the second years" the head of the house lion house was now saying "Assuming that she doesn't hold back too much. I've noticed that she doesn't give her all in my classes, she isn't one for showing off".
Flitwick would need to encourage the young lady as indeed she didn't like to show off. Many of his Ravenclaws dislike being the centre of attention.
"Mr Twycross has grown over this last year. You know he can already perform non-verbal spell casting" the half-goblin casually mentioned, "I catch him not saying the words of the spell sometimes, and he barely bothers with the wand movements. I've even heard that he can do a few spells without a wand".
This did surprise the deputy headmistress of this school.
"He's doing well enough in my subject, but I didn't think he was that advanced, his parents were rather average students, although they were well behaved," she said, "Has someone been tutoring him?".
Flitwick simply didn't know.
"I suspect so," said the charms teacher "I know he's been trained in duelling and I think he could be a fine duellist. If he does well in the exams this I might just take him under my wing and teach him a few things since no one in the rest of my house seems that interested in duelling".
He'd be lucky to have the extra attention as the Ravenclaw head of the house was a master duellist.
"Goodnight, Minerva. Don't work too long," Flitwick said.
She really did work too hard, but with the Headmaster holding too many roles at least some of the work had to have fallen in someone's lap and she was next in line when it came to running the school.
"Goodnight, Filius," she said as her fellow Professor headed out, " I think in about an hour and then I should be done".
Then she could get some rest.

Hogsmede. Wizarding World.
Upon this year the holiday called Valentine's Day had fallen on a Sunday and while I cared little for such celebrations due to how commercial they were and how Valentine's Day was supposed to be a celebration of love but it had become a day when women in relationships expected to be spoilt as if men's feelings of love mattered not at all. Still, I'd given in and agreed to take my witches to the Three Broomsticks for an early lunch. Mostly I'd gone along with this because we'd all been spending way too much time studying and Hermione Granger tells you that you need to put down the books and go out, then you know that you really need to stop studying.
"I can't remember what I did this time last year" I mentioned to the girls as we entered the village.
Given how important this day seemed to the females of the Wizarding World I must have done something with either Raven or Hermione, not Luna as I hadn't met her by that point.
"I dragged you to the tea shop," Hermione told me "You hated it the whole time".
She made it sound as if my suffering at that time was a good thing.
"I wiped it from your memory because you were so traumatised" Raven let me know "It was a good chance for me to practice the memory charm".
The Memory Charm (Obliviate), also known as the Forgetfulness Charm, was a charm that could be used to erase specific memories from an individual's mind. It was different from the charm that creates false memories since an Obliviate leaves a gap, hence why I couldn't remember what happened a year ago on this day. These spells were used routinely by the British Ministry of Magic as they worked to keep the wizarding world a secret from Muggles. If performed improperly, a Memory Charm could erase significant portions of an individual's memory and cause brain damage, with severe difficulties involved in recovery.
For instance, in the books/movies, Gilderoy Lockhart attempted to wipe the memories of Harry Potter and Ron Weasley during the events surrounding the re-opening of the Chamber of Secrets. However, by using Ron's damaged wand to attempt the Charm, it backfired onto Lockhart himself, thus causing Lockhart to suffer extreme amnesia. He thereafter became a permanent resident in the Janus Thickey Ward of St Mungo's. Although Lockhart did retain some of his memories (mainly his vain liking for signing autographs despite not knowing why, and knowing how to write in cursive), he never fully recovered. Not that he deserved to. The Lockhart in this universe had avoided that fate by not taking the Defence job, so I could only hope that something equally horrible happened to him in this version of Harry Potter's universe.
"That was rather risky" commented Hermoine
While I trusted Raven and wanted to help her with her studies it had indeed been risky. I must have really hated my time in the tea shop.
"Maybe we should drag him back in there" suggested Luna.
I gave her a look that hopefully expressed my feeling of betrayal.
"And here I thought you were on my side," I said to her "What happened to me being your lord and master?"
Luna shrugged.
"I'm taking the day off," she told me.
Thankfully I wasn't dragged anywhere, not that they would have taken me alive, and I could have just ordered them not to do it.
"We'd never get a table anyway," said Hermione.
The teashop would indeed be packed this afternoon, all those poor young men.
"If you come back on my side, I'll buy you some pudding" I offered to Luna.
My bribe was very successful. She smiled at me and took my hand, leading us away from the evil tea shop and towards the Three Broomsticks which while packed wasn't as busy as it might otherwise be.
"Now for some Shepard's Pie and a beer," I said.
This was how the day should be celebrated.
