With the help of Max's Fly move, Glitchy was able to quickly get back to Goldenrod City. Upon having landed outside the Pokémon Centre, she made a bee line to the Goldenrod Radio Tower that had now been taken over by Team Rocket. When attempting to head up the Radio Tower she was stopped by a Grunt at the foot of the stairs. He told her he was only letting members if Team Rocket past so refused her entrance, he even refused to battle her. Glitchy left the tower, trying to think of a way inside when she remembered the Photographer had once offered to let her dress up as a Rocket Grunt in the Tunnel.

Glitchy waisted no time in getting to the Tunnel and rushed to where the Photographer was usually stationed. Once there she was greeted by a Rocket Grunt who thankfully mistaken her for a new recruit. They had received a lot of new recruits but had ran out of uniforms but had discovered the studio had 'borrowed' one. He gave Glitchy the 'borrowed' uniform without question then welcomed her into Team Rocket. Once changed into the uniform, he told her she looked good in it, which she agreed. He also asked that she didn't run around scaring people whilst wearing the uniform and let her go. She headed back to the Radio Tower to try and get past the Grunt guarding the stairs.

Glitchy approached the Grunt who denied her entrance to the stairs earlier and spoke to him again now in the Rocket Grunt uniform. He believed her when she told him she was a new recruit and moved aside to let her go up the stairs. Unfortunately Foxy had to interfere to take on Team Rocket as well. He waisted no time in revealing her identity to the Grunt as a ordinary trainer and not a new recruit. The Grunt forced her into battle only to regret it when Max was able to take out his Pokémon with little trouble. Foxy realised Glitchy had originally planned to sneak into the Radio Tower as a new recruit, a plan she put together rather quickly, and mocked her for such a meek idea. He decided to let her handle it then headed out to defeat Lance. He planned to come back and defeat her once he had proven to Lance he was better than him.

Glitchy made her way up the Radio Tower, speaking to the employees along the way as well as defeating any Rocket Grunts that got in her way. Arriving on the fifth floor, she came across Petrel posing as the Director but he was unable to fool Glitchy. Glitchy fought Petrel once again however Tidus and Miles proved to be too strong for his team to handle. Having once again defeated Petrel, he revealed they had hidden the Director in the Underground Warehouse, located at the far end of the Goldenrod Tunnel. He gave Glitchy the Basement Key to open the door to the Underground Warehouse. With the Basement Key in hand, she headed back down the Radio Tower and headed to the Goldenrod Tunnel to locate the entrance to the Underground Warehouse.

Glitchy found a Kimono Girl near the entrance of the Underground Warehouse. She had seen the Rocket Grunts running around and decided to investigate. She was impressed Glitchy was able to take them on all on her own and hinted she may be able to face the Legendary Pokémon but stopped herself from saying any more. The Kimono Girl left Glitchy to make her way to the Underground Warehouse. She used the Basement Key to open the door then made her way inside.

Glitchy descended deep into the Underground Warehouse. Foxy appeared not long after her, claiming he had deceived her and was tailing her hoping to run into Lance. He was disappointed Lance never showed up so he decided to go ahead and defeat Glitchy first instead, Miles took down his Golbat with Discharge then used Thunder Punch against his Sneasel. Edgar took over to take out his Magnemite with a Psybeam along with his Haunter. Max took down his Meganium with Fly, winning Glitchy the battle. Foxy was left questioning why he had lost once more, even with a more powerful team. He wondered if what Lance had told him was true and that he needed to treat his Pokémon better, He questioned his methods of training but refused to stop now and give up on his dream of becoming the greatest trainer. He left Glitchy, leaving her to hope he would finally learn from his latest loss and become a better trainer.

Glitchy explored the Underground Warehouse, taking out any Grunts she came across as she tried to figure out how the doors blocking her way worked. One of the Grunts she defeated gave her a hint. He informed her the colour switched corresponded to the colour tiles on the floor beside the doors. After fiddling around with the switches, with help from the coloured tiles, she was able to continue further down. Defeating some more Grunts, she found the Director and saved him from the Underground Warehouse. She told him what was happening at the Radio Tower and he gave her a card key to use on the shutters on the 3rd floor.

Glitchy quickly made her way back to the 3rd floor of Goldenrod Radio Tower and used the card key to proceed through the shutters. On the 4th floor she was challenged by Executive Proton whose team quickly fell to Gatcha. On the 5th floor Executive Ariana challenged her to battle. Glitchy's team had no problem defeating Executive Rocket Ariana's team. Glitchy continued onward up to the Observation Deck. Once there, she came across some binoculars and also Archer. Archer explained they took over the Radio Tower to try and lure Giovanni out of solitary training to once again become their leader, as if she wasn't able to guess via the radio transmission that lead her to the tower in the first place. Executive Archer challenged Glitchy to battle but he soon fell to Gatcha, her handsome shiny Gyarados. Upon defeat, Executive Archer realised he was never going to accomplish his goal and so decided to disband Team Rocket, much like how Giovanni did before him.

The Director, now free from the Underground Warehouse, caught up to Glitchy. He was surprised she had managed to take down Team Rocket by herself, once again, and rewarded her with a Silver Wing. He told her about a tower that once stood in the very spot the Radio Tower now stands. They found the Silver Wing at the top of the tower. The Director told her a friend from Cianwood City told him you could go down a cave at Whirl Island. This interested her and she ponded whether she should investigate the Whirl Island. The Director returned to inform her his friend had also told her she needed to combine the Silver Wing with something else in order to make a Legendary Pokémon appear in the cave. She was grateful he returned to tell her that, saving her some time, and so she set her sights on her eight and final gym badge.
