Out on the front lines
Chapter 13th
"That depends on how you see it Gibbs. Senator Hill of the DOD called me to let me know that the two undercover agents working in the Hernandez regime finally has killed him up in Colebrook, Maine of his compound." Vance had to say with Gibbs anxious to know the rest of the details.
"Shot four times into his head and chest with sitting up explosives to blow up the place in less than two hours. Otherwise they notified the senator that they will be back into Washington, D.C. in a small plane with an ex military officer flying them back."
"Is there going to be a briefing Leon on the entire operation? Why wasn't I told this fact knowing that Hernandez had almost killed me and those two could of stopped the torture?" Gibbs cried out with the anxiety of the news.
"How could they Gibbs without blowing their cover? And besides now that he's dead for real. You're able to sleep better at nights with this terrorist now dead." Vance exclaimed with his words even though Gibbs wasn't really convinced that he's going to be alright with the news and most of all his wife Loreile.
"I hope so Leon! Or else I have a feeling that I am going to be seeing a great deal of Doctor Grace or even Doctor Anthony Sterling of NCIS?" Gibbs had taken in a deep breath with grabbing the water pitcher from the tray for a glass and with filling it.
"I came here to tell you and that's if Gibbs. What you do with the Intel is going to be up to you? I am planning on going to see Loreile since I have placed a voicemail. No doubt she was somehow busy at this time. Probably in the shower?"
"She will no doubt to have a good reason as to why she wasn't able to answer the phone." Gibbs had said about his wife. Even though things between them haven't been at that well since he left for Paraguay to be injured badly. "Please let her know that I love her dearly and I really will promise now to take that prolong vacation before deciding on whether I will be retiring."
"I will tell her, Gibbs. Now if you will excuse me I have to travel to your house and have that chat with her.' Vance announced with telling Gibbs to relax...

Loreile was indeed in the shower needing to relax her muscles from the tension with her husband in the hospital. She was able to play the voicemail from her long time friend Director Leon Vance that she was coming over for a visit with great news.
She had changed into her sweatpants and top for now with her visitor soon to be arriving. She had asked Madeline to make coffee in case he wanted a cup of coffee as with some homemade cookies. She had checked her son Shane in the nursery sound asleep after playing for a few hours with the nanny to make sure he sleeps proper through the night.
Loreile headed down stairs to hear the doorbell knowing that it was Vance. She goes to opened the door with his smile on his face. He walked inside with Loreile asking on whether wanted some coffee.
"Please. I could use the coffee to be black with three sugars. I just came from talking with your husband and he tells me that he still loves you a great deal and is now finally deciding on that that prolong vacation."
"Why? What's happened?" She stated with Madeline pouring the black coffee into his cup and the sugar on the side with the spoon.
"The DOD received word that Operation Rumble has been completed with the two undercover agents in Hernandez camp in Colebrook, Maine has been shot and killed by the agent. Along with explosives being set to blow once Riccio and his soldiers arrive back into the camp."
"And what about the two undercover agents Leon?" She asked with caution and her tone.
"They are on their way back to Washington, D.C. for a debriefing once they land at the Dulles International airport field. Thank god Loreile! I am glad this nightmare is finally over."
"Not really as yet Leon. What about my husband? Was he given the news and what was his reaction?" She needed to know with her emotions really mixed at this time...
"I told him earlier Loreile and he was surprised as to why he wasn't told about the two undercover agents. Otherwise he was relaxed finally that I have seen in awhile with the news." Vance responded with drinking his coffee...
"Let's hope Leon it stays that way with my husband calm, cool and collective with his recovery now and that he's able to really talk with Doctor Grace about his experience?"
"Maybe. He's going to be needing the time to recover from the horrific injuries done to his body and mentally." Vance quipped with his words with needing to finish his coffee with the two homemade chocolate chip cookies made by Madeline as well as a cook.
"I know Leon it's not going to be easy for my husband to recover with receiving all of that pain and sexual assault. I wouldn't be surprise that he might not want to have sex again with me?" She will say with sadness with her persona and demeanor.
"I can certainly understand as to why. Any man or woman with a persona like Gibbs will no doubt have a hard time trying to cope with the deep issue. And if this is the case Loreile. He will be needing to talk it out with Doctor Grace or Doctor Anthony Sterling."
"Doctor Sterling is a very good doctor from what I know of him. And to step into Jacqueline Sloane's shoes wasn't an easy feat to do Leon."
"I agree with you on that subject. I just hope to know soon when Gibbs will be up to discussing further his experience on what happened in Paraguay."
"Do we know all of the details on what exactly happened to Jethro in Paraguay?" She needed to know for her own piece of mind.
"No we don't until Gibbs is able to tell us every detail since he was taken. Anyrate I need to go now and let you take it easy. I am finally going home after such a long few weeks. Loreile thank you for the coffee and cookies. I will be sure to be you further updated on Gibbs condition." As he gets up from the kitchen chair to hug his long time friend.
