Mr. Peabody: And, true to his word, Scrooge did all he said he would, and more.
Sherman: And what about Tiny Tim?
Mr. Peabody: And to Tiny Tim, whose operation succeeded very well...
Sherman: Oh, that's good.
Mr. Peabody: To Tiny Tim, Scrooge became like a grandfather.
Sherman: Which also makes Belle somewhat of a grandma. Rght, Mr. Peabody?
Mr. Peabody: Yes, he became as good a friend, as good a master, and as good a man as the good old city ever knew. And it was said thereafter that Scrooge knew how to keep Christmas well, if any man alive possessed that knowledge. May that truly be said of us all. And so, as Tiny Tim observed...
Tiny Tim: God bless us, every one.
Belle: Constant as the stars above
Scrooge: Always know that you are loved
Bob: And our love
Bob and Fred: Shining in you
Emily, Belle and Claire: Will help you make your dreams come true
Tiny Tim: Will help your dreams
Everyone: Come true
Sherman: That was a good story, Mr. Peabody.
Mr. Peabody: Well, if you think that one is good, Sherman, you should look at the other adaptations*.
Sherman: There are more versions?
Mr. Peabody: Of course. Whether it's in theatres or televised, there's always more than one way to tell this famed ghost story of Christmas.
Sherman: (to the readers) I didn't know that.
Author's Note:
Like I said before, "A Christmas Carol" has been adapted many times over the years...in the movies, on TV, and in the books.
Until the next story, loyal readers, Merry Christmas and a hopefully Happy New Year to everybody.
