Chapter 12: Leanbox

A day later…

After that event, we collectively decided to go and ask the CPUs for help since we needed to somehow defeat that CFW Brave. So while we were eating…

Stare*

"So Listoria, how's the pudding?" Compa asked while smiling at Listoria.

"It's good…" Listoria answered while eating her pudding. "Not as good as pie though I still like it."

Stare*

"Um, can I call you Listy?" Plutia slowly asked her while trying to stay awake.

Listoria smiled really brightly. "Sure! I don't mind!"

STAAAAAAARE*

IF noticed that I was staring at Listoria. "Okay Saps, what's wrong? You've been staring at Listoria for like five hours."

"Huh?" I quickly looked at IF before looking embarrassed. "Oh… um… I-It's nothing…"

"Ooooh so you do like to look at cute bods!" Listoria said, teasing me. "I don't mind that you're looking at me!"

"W-W-What!?" I exclaimed in shock before looking away. "I-It's not like I want to ask you a question or anything?!" I quickly looked back to IF. "Iffy, where are we going now!?"

"Is she really the CPU of Planeptune?" IF muttered as she was checking her phone. "Either way, we should head to Leanbox. Since it's close by."

"Leanbox… huh…" Listoria muttered.

"Oh yeah, you were at war with the Leanbox and Lowee's CPU." IF said. "You should disguise yourself in order for you to not get recognized."

This got my attention "At war? And for how long?"

"Well, it was the Console War…" Listoria explained. "In Gamindustri, it was for 3 years but for us on Celestia, it was 300 years."

"But why were you guys fighting?" I asked her. "You guys should be friends!"

"This is exactly what you said before…" Listoria muttered. "We had a stupid argument, that's all…"

"An argument? What did you guys argue about?"

Listoria sat there quietly before answering. "It… was nothing… It was just something stupid…"

"Oh… I see…" I looked down. What was that argument about? Why isn't she saying anything about that?

"So, when are we heading out?" I asked IF.

"In like a few minutes." She answered before turning to Listoria. "You remembered what I said, right?"

Listoria tilted her head in confusion. "Huh? What?"

"I mean the disguise…" IF told her.

"Oh yeah… I actually got that prepared!" She then pulls out a pair of light blue glasses and puts them on. "See?"

We all just stared at her dumbfounded.

IF just crossed her arms. "Um, Listoria? What is that?"

"It's a disguise!" She answered brightly.

"That's not going to work…" IF said as she shook her head. "No one in their right mind would—"

"Ehhhhhhhh?! Where did Listy go?" Plutia looked around, confused before looking at Listoria. "And who are you?"

Listoria smiled at IF teasingly. "See? It actually works!"

IF just sighed. "Why does this happen to me?"

At Leanbox…

After the confusion, we all decided to fill up some paperwork before heading up to Leanbox. We were all amazed at the fact that no one even recognized Listoria even once. Even when we were at Leanbox, no one even recognized who she was. And while we were heading to Leanbox's Basilicom…

"Hey… um… Plutia? Which nation did you rule?" I asked Plutia.

Plutia then tilted her head. "Huh?"

"Yeah… I was wondering about that too…" IF agreed.

"Well…" Plutia then smiled awkwardly. "I'm Planeptune's CPU!"

"Planeptune's CPU?" I muttered to myself.

"Planeptune's CPU…" Compa said thoughtfully.

"Huh…? Planeptune…" Listoria looked at her in disbelief.

IF, however, closed her eyes. "I see…"

"Whaaaaaaaaat?!"

"Wait, that's impossible!" Listoria exclaimed with a shock look on her face. "I mean, Sapphire is Planeptune's CPU!"

"Ummm well…" Plutia just kept thinking. "I meant to say that I'm not this Planeptune's CPU…"

IF looked like she was trying to calm down. "W-Wait… what do you mean by 'this' Planeptune's CPU?"

"Well…" Plutia then tried to explain the best way she could. Like the fact she's from another dimension and that there was another dimension like ours but with a different CPU of Planeptune. When we were satisfied with her answers, we finally calmed down.

There are different dimensions… I thought to myself. I wonder what the CPUs there are like…

"Well then, let's go!" I exclaimed as I quickly rushed off, looking behind me.

"Wait, Saps!" IF yelled out to me. "You're going to crash into someone!"

"Huh—?" I quickly turn around before crashing into someone. "Owwwww!"

"Hey, you alright?" The man asked me.

"Yep! I'm alright!" I said as I stood right back up. "It always happens to me. It might be because the author likes to hit me with random things…"

"Um, what?"

"Oh, sorry!" I smiled apologetically. "I'm sometimes like this… ummm…"

The man looks around like 25 years old. He has blonde hair and blue eyes and wears an olive green military uniform with a beret.

"Who are you? Are you a guard or something?" I asked him.

"No, I'm not." He answered rather politely. "I'm Centauri. It's nice to meet ya."

"And I'm Sapphire! It's nice to meet you too!" I introduced myself. "Sorry for bumping into you!"

"It's okay…" He then nodded and walked away. "Well then, see ya then."

"Well… um… see you!"

He then left while the rest walked up to me.

"Saps… you shouldn't be running into people." IF scolded me.

"But I apologized!" I told her before looking back at where the man walked away. "Who was that just now?"

IF shrugged it off. "Well, who knows… Either way, let's head to Basilicom."

With Centauri…

"Sapphire is acting like she doesn't know me…" Centauri muttered to himself. "I better keep an eye out for her…"

As he was walking away, he looked back to the group.

"And is that…?"

At the Basilicom…

"Huh? This was… easy…" I muttered as I looked at the Basilicom.

Unlike Lastation, where we have to ask someone for directions; this time we were able to get there easily.

"So… um… Sapphire?" Listoria suddenly spoke up. "You think the CPU will help us?"

"I think so…" I answered as I looked back at the Basilicom. "I mean, they must be nice!"

"Sure…" Listoria said rather sarcastically.

"Let's just head on in…" IF muttered as she opened the doors.

Inside were just one guard that had clothes similar to the man I met earlier.

"Hey, um, do you know where the CPU of Leanbox is?" I asked the guard.

"He's out for today." He answered simply. "But he will be returning soon."

Plutia then tilted her head in confusion. "He?"

"Oh, I see…" I looked down.

"What about the Oracle?" IF asked him.

"Well, she's missing right now…" He answered again. "I hope we're not an inconvenience…"

"No, it's okay…" IF reassures him before turning to us. "So what now?"

"I guess we wait around for now…" I said. "Hopefully he comes back."

"Well, let's head to the inn for now…" IF told us.

"But what are we supposed to do now?" Compa asked.

"I guess we look around for now until he comes back…" IF answered as she crossed her arms. "But we should be nice to the locals here and don't shout out that you're a CPU, Saps."

I smiled at her brightly. "Don't worry about that! I'm not that dumb!"

"Sure you are…" Listoria said rather sarcastically before she walked out of the Basilicom's doors.

When we left the Basilicom, Plutia asked us a weird question.

"Um, why do you call the CPU a 'he'?"

"That?" IF then looked like she was in thought. "Probably because he's a male CPU…"

This took her a minute to process that information. And suddenly, her eyes widened in shock.

"Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh?!"
