I'm tearing up! This is the end of my baby. I started this back in like 2009? 2010? And I was not satisfied with my writing back then or how I was trying to portray my writing from my brain to my laptop. I am much more happier with how I have this story now, and if you have been following me all those years ago, thank you for sticking around. All my new Vengeance story lovers, thank you for all the love, favorites, follows and reviews! You guys are awesome! I wanna give a special shoutout to some reviewers I've seen since the beginning!

If I missed anyone, just wanted to let you guys know you still rock too! I'm very happy I finished this and I look forward to putting a lot more attention to the Lemon Edition and to Family Burdens (My new baby). I hope you all enjoy the Epilogue. See you guys around!
Eight-month baby Inojin seemed to be very interested in the beautifully designed black and grey lotus flower tattoo on Hinata's hand that went up a little pass her wrist. He was also interested in her dark purple nail polish. While his twin brother Shikadai seemed to be more interested in her designer pillow Hinata had bought them for a house warming gift.
Shikamaru had a new home custom made (by Ino's demand) on the Nara's property for their new larger family. They just moved in, with the help of family and friends and received house warming gifts. Hinata stayed with other close friends to relax, help clean and talk. She knew Ino's love for fashion and gave her dearest friend a set of custom blackish green sequin pillows. They were a beautiful set for their new couch set she got them too, Ino could tell Hinata didn't look at the price tag when it came to these gifts.
The couch set was incredibly comfortable and Hinata joked it was more so for Shikamaru on nights that he pushed Ino's temper too far. The pillows, that the dark eyed and haired Shikadai was so interested in, were equally soft and he was dozing off on it. Inojin had bright eyes and hair like his mothers were so beautiful and equally as captivating.
Ino came from the kitchen curious why the living room with her sons there was so quiet, just to see Hinata in perfect control with tending to the children. Sakura poked her head out of the kitchen followed by Tenten. Ino remained silent, very soothed by the image of Hinata behaving motherly. Sakura raised a brow and grinned at the dark-haired women, "Maybe you should get your own set of kids there Hinata, twins do run in your family."
Hinata gave a small smile and looked up from Inojin and to Sakura, "I would rather not go through my first childbirth twice at the same day. Besides, there is no rush."
Laughter that came from the back porch was coming inside the home and Shikamaru along with Naruto, Neji and a stoic Sasuke came inside the warm inviting home. Shikamaru immediately eyes Ino and sent her a warm smile, which she returned, a major 180 from how she would have replied three years ago. Neji made his way to Tenten who's belly looked ready to pop at any moment, which Sakura made her developing six-month belly over to Sasuke who welcomed her with a small smile.
Naruto looked down at Hinata as she sat on the couch in beautiful white robes, it was designed magnificently and held the symbol of the Uzumaki clan on each sleeve, with the Hyuga clan underneath. Hinata was still acting head of the Hyuga clan and wanted to show her affection for both clans.
Who was going to voice a disdain for her choice of wearing both clan symbols?
The solid designed lines on her robe was shimmering gold and was on the cuffs of her sleeves, the mid-section and the bottom of her robe. It was an elegant conservative look and fit a Hyuga leader perfectly. Her hair was waist length and was carefully placed over her left shoulder, so she did not get it in the babies faces.
When Naruto kept hinting that he was going to propose to her Hinata always told Naruto he didn't have to break the bank on her engagement and wedding ring. Still the blond of course ignored her, and she sported a large, opal, teardrop shaped wedding ring. Mini sparkling diamonds framed the teardrop opal and other mini diamonds wrapped around the ring in a 360. It immediately caught your eye.
Hinata looked up at Naruto with a gentle smile, rosy cheeks and lowered eyes, showing she was fully relaxed. She than shifted her gaze to her cousin, who had a fresh blank forehead, and she closed her eyes and shifted it back to the babies below her.
"The crib for your nursery has just been finished being assembled in your home Neji, it's the new model crib that has a changing table attached to it. I hear a lot of mothers talk about how useful it is."
Neji attempted to hide the light blush on his face, discussing such an intimate moment in front of people outside the family, "I could have put it together Hinata-sama."
Hinata smiled at him with her eyes still closed and Naruto gave the man a pointed look, did he really have to talk to her like that at a personal friend gathering. So traditional.
"Aww brother please, money was not the issue in paying a little extra, so you did not have to worry about it. Besides, what if Tenten went into labor while you were assembling it, she is due any day now."
Shikamaru and Ino looked at one another before looking at Naruto and Hinata, happy the blond man was able to bring a calm and nurturing characteristic back to Hinata. She was not silent anymore due to negative, cold hearted thinking. While out in public or in the Hyuga residence, she was definitely not this warm, but not as bad as she was three years ago.
Yes, it has been three years after the war and all of them was in their early 20s, finding the career paths that suit them and establishing it. Well except the Uzumaki family.
"So, you two are sure you're coming back? Promise?"
Ino looked at Hinata with a concerned face, saddened by the fact her friend still felt the need to leave the village. "Yes Ino. For the hundredth time." Hinata looked at her friend and gave a light feathery laugh, "It has taken time, but in three years Neji and I were able to get our clan to the level that we are comfortable with. Of course, with a Hyuga as talented and intimidating as Neji, and with his seal removed, no one really wanted to challenge our steps we took. Things are still being worked out, but it is nothing the new leader of the Hyuga clan cannot handle, right Neji-sama."
Again, the older Hyuga blushed lightly and coughed to get himself together, "Keep in mind that I am only getting the position because you are the one that passed it down to me."
"Yes, and who would have opposed me, opposed us better yet."
The two Hyuga's shared a slight smug smirk between one another and Naruto couldn't take anymore, he got so annoyed when they got like this. He didn't care if it was childish of him or not.
"Okay, okay, we get it. You two are powerhouses together." Naruto gently picked up the sleeping Shikadai and the pillow he was on and sat next to Hinata, who laughed lightly at his silly jealous ways.
"Oh Naruto, they're related. Get over it. They're like this all the time at the compound." Tenten teased lightly as Neji gave a confused look not understanding what the problem was.
"It's just, we feel like you just got settled in Hinata. You've only been in the village a solid four years, and only three of those years was peaceful. Plus, you're taking my knucklehead teammate with you. I feel like he brings unnecessary drama and adventure anywhere he goes."
Sakura leaned onto Sasuke's shoulder and smiled at the couple, having gained a better relationship with Hinata over the years she was able to understand her more and form a friendship. Naruto was relieved to actually have the two women around one another and watch them have a decent conversation that didn't hold tension.
Still, Naruto frowned slightly at Sakura but said nothing else as Hinata's tatted hand rested on his knee, a silent and loving form of communication to not feed into Sakura's teasing.
The blond over the years picked up some of Hinata's traits as well. Becoming the not so lenient leader the higher ups wanted him to be, he was growing to become more dominant in the political sense and getting better with making more critical decisions. Basically understanding that not everyone needed or could be saved.
He could listen to the worlds most depressing story from a man that was probably justified for doing a crime and still punish him or recommend him to death. Sometimes when him and Sasuke would go about their heated bouts with one another, Sasuke would liken him to Senju Tobirama from their brief encounter during the war. He would say that Naruto had grown to probably be able to punish a whole clan without blinking an eye at his decisions.
It bothered Naruto to hear that from his friend, he would like to think that he hadn't changed that much, but he'd be lying if he said he didn't.
So what, maybe he did, oh well. Everyone changed, they went through a fucking war.
Sasuke always got over his temper tantrums anyways and would silently go with him to go eat Ramen after their arguments. Even though he wasn't a fan of it, it was their weird brotherly way of making up.
Naruto smiled at Hinata before looking at Sakura, "It works Sakura, technically we're just traveling for diplomat purposes. It'll be for a few years, get my feet wet in the political world and make more alliances with Konoha. Hinata gets seen in a different light. The 'dotting' future Hokage's wife, and in a few years we'll be back, and I go back into the candidate running to see if I'll get picked. Besides Kakashi is fine as Hokage right now."
"That's if you decide to come back."
Naruto gave Shikamaru a grin that split his face and closed his eyes at his genius friend, "Don't go putting idea's in my head." When he opened his eyes, he saw the serious faces of Sasuke, Sakura, Neji and Tenten, "Oi I'm joking, don't worry so much. In all seriousness, it's whatever me and Hinata want to do."
Hinata smiled up at him and continued to play with Inojin and started to pat Shikadai's rear end because he started to shuffle in his sleep. "A few years will not harm anyone, I still will make small visits to Lady Tsunade for my screenings."
"How is the seal by the way."
Hinata looked towards the usually quiet Uchiha, "Fine." She smiled when Naruto said the same thing she said at the same time. Ever the protector Naruto was. Sasuke frowned at his friend and the overprotective guard he places around Hinata continuously.
Shikamaru went to pick Shikadai up and put him in one of the cribs that his father made for them in the nursery room. When he came back he smiled down at Inojin still interested in looking at Hinata and her physical traits, he was always mesmerized by her looks when she came over or babysat. Pretty much twice a day, almost every day. If Naruto and Hinata had a daughter Inojin would surely marry her. He looked back at Hinata and actually looked concern.
"Well considering you, Naruto, Tsunade and even Ino are pretty tight lipped on the seal and everything else that goes on with you, it is natural to be curious and concerned. Especially when you're practically the gateway to something liken to an alien that wants to destroy the world."
Always the one with the dark commonsense.
Ino elbowed him in the stomach and gave him an annoyed look, "Shika! If it was that serious I would have said something to you!" The two gave each other both an annoyed look, Shikamaru getting over it faster than Ino, but they both soon fixed their sour looks and had a ghost of a smirk play on their faces.
Hinata laughed lightly at this and covered her mouth, "Oh my! Well if it is that serious than I will say that it is indeed going fine. For the past year I've had no troubles and it has been going fine. I will admit the first two years were…rough. Painful, night sweats, nightmares, and just a battle in controlling myself and the new invasion to my body and chakra system. Now, it is nice to sleep and not worry about hearing either Orochimaru or Kaguya's voice. It is nice to just live my life now without fear of Orochimaru or even Kaguya. Only reason I could do this was because I had the best support system here with me the whole time."
She held Naruto's hand, which had a nice white gold wedding band. Nice and simple, but no one knew of the enduring words, 'My will to live' engraved on the inside.
The two looked at one another with an enduring smile, deep love for one another and secrets between the two that they would never tell anyone.
"All this lovey dovey gushy shit and no babies! I for sure thought you guys would be the first ones with some babies!" Sakura gushed at the couple in front of them, happy to see them finally relaxed and happy.
Hinata gave an embarrassed quiet laugh, "Well, with everything that was going on with my mental health and the seal, we decided against having kids at those times. It was needed and nice, it's been two years since we got married and we just have been enjoying the life. Kids will come down the line, there is no rush."
Ino waved Sakura's statement off and smiled warmly at Hinata, "Yes, yes we know that. I understand. It would just be nice for my boys to have a girl to fight over when you have her, because I'm calling it, you will have a girl even if you have a boy first!"
Hinata and Ino laughed at her statement and Naruto grinned at the girls, Neji smiled warmly at this, already in on the inside joke, Shikamaru gave a small smile as well. Leaving Tenten and Sakura a bit confused, Sasuke lips twitched but he pushed the smile down, "So, I'm guessing you and the dobe will be expecting soon."
Hinata smiled over at Sasuke and Naruto's grin widened, "Oi Teme, so quick to catch on. She's still early, three months along." Sakura immediately started to burst Sasuke's eardrums and squealed at the news, both her and Tenten equally excited, "Wait! You're leaving the village in two months! You'll be deep pregnant Hinata! You can't go now!" Sakura stopped her excitement when she thought about the news. Her medical profession coming out.
"I might have traveled in worse conditions Sakura, please do not worry. We will take long breaks in certain villages and I want our child to experience the world for a while."
Naruto laced his fingers with Hinata and smiled at her, glancing down at her still flat stomach hidden under her robes, but still able to sense the light chakra signature of their unborn child. "Besides, who's gonna step up to me while I'm with my wife?"
Naruto had the same smugness that Hinata and Neji had earlier and Naruto and Hinata laughed at the inside joke of Naruto absolutely hating snobby clansman. He took her hand that was laced with his and kissed it, ignoring the gagging sounds from Ino.
In two months', they'll set off, discover the world during the creation of a peaceful time and find the beauty of the world again. They'll become parents to two beautiful children while they are gone and when they return their son will be eight and their daughter six.
As predicted, Ino's son Inojin was love struck at first sight to the spicy and loveable Himawari and clung to the young girl ever since. Boruto was more like his uncle Neji than Naruto wanted to admit, but he was as warm and loving like his father, with a dash of his mother's old childhood traits.
Ino making her skills known and getting a name for herself climbed the ranks fast and became head of the interrogation division, favoring to work in the torture and interrogation force. To her husband's pleasure and shock, she reopened the flower shop when Shikadai and Inojin hit two years old. Her business flourished again, and she took her rightful place to lead the Yamanaka clan. Every day she finds some way of thanking Shikamaru, Asuma and Choji for taking care of the shop and not selling it like she demanded.
Hinata, while in the beginning Naruto was not sure about it, resumed being a ninja, having already climbed through the ranks before her departure was still a Jonin when she returned and would soon help proctor the Chunin exams. Often helping Neji with the forever restless Hyuga clan and being a dotting aunt and God mother. She was always content with this, not too much and not too little. She was always someone that enjoyed the simple things in life.
Neji's son always talked about how calm and gentle his Aunt Hinata was compared to his mother and other mothers of his generation. If he said this around his father's childhood friends they would all have an awkward smile on their faces like they were hiding something. Ino usually laughed and told him along with the other children that when they got older she had some stories to tell them.
When the Uzumaki family permanently returned, Naruto resumed his duties working under Kakashi and a year later became Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village with Shikamaru as his trusted advisor.
At the beginning of each year, the first Sunday, Hinata and Ino made it a tradition to travel to Otogakure. The village was reestablished and was labeled an actual village.
During her time as Hyuga leader, Hinata pin pointed this area hard while it was still developing. With Orochimaru no longer around land, resources and other things were up for grabs there. A good investment for Hyuga money and for the name to be spread. With her putting money in to help reconstruct Otogakure, it gave the Hyuga's leeway to do as they pleased there.
A lot of Hyuga's, now free of the segregation and curse seal law, migrated between Otogakure and Konoha for successful work, science studies and conquering. A new leader was appointed for Otogakure, someone native to the area, and Hinata and Neji made sure they were a trusted ally of the Hyuga clan. Which in return put the Hyuga as a powerhouse throughout the nations.
As Hokage Naruto would often see the leader of Otogakure at meetings and a lot of his decisions sounded very…Hinata-like. He would laugh about this later with Shikamaru and Sasuke and would comment at times that Hinata still was as cunning and ruthless as she wanted to be. He figured taking Otogakure was her last 'fuck you' to Orochimaru.
So at the beginning of the year, on the first Sunday, Ino and Hinata would travel to Otogakure. They would make their way to a specific tea shop and have tea with snacks there every time. Little did a lot of the new generation know, before this tea shop was built, right underneath it was the hideout that Ino and Hinata were tortured for years in. Where they were beaten, broken and lost their innocence.
During her travels with Naruto, she showed him the hideout…and he obliterated it.
Now it was a peaceful, tea shop. In an advancing village that Hinata was proud to help create. The two women looked at one another with a smile at the hidden secret of this location that they kept to themselves.
They endured, they lived through hell and now they got to enjoy the life of being mothers, being wives and being survivors.
I hope you all enjoyed Vengeance, thank you all for readying the crazy stuff that pops up in my head.
