After months of traveling, I was getting tired of it. Not only because I had no idea as to where we were going, but because there's nowhere we can truly call home. The monotonous task of walking everyday, maybe with a tiny bit of Scarlet training me mixed in, was truly starting to get on my nerves. Thankfully for my sanity, the Ninetales I was traveling with made for good company, and somehow managed to make each day not so boring. "So Scarlet, where are we heading?" I asked. Scarlet just kept on walking, but answered the question. "We are heading somewhere I once called home."
That took me back to when I had first met Scarlet, she said she was called by many names. I wanted to learn more about the Ninetales. I told her where I came from, so she could tell me what her life was like until she saved me from those Mightyena. "What is this place like?" The Ninetales shrugged. "It's probably abandoned by now. It was back when I used to have a trainer, which was nearly 100 years ago." I just stared at her as we walked along.
"Can you tell me what they were like?"
"Well, the trainer was pretty nice, he took care of me like I was his child. I think his name was… Thomas. Found me one night digging through his trash, and took me in."
"That sounds… nice." Scarlet nodded. "Probably the only nice trainer I've had in my lifetime."
The only nice one? She had more than one trainer?
"Can you tell me what your life has been like way before you met me, before you met that trainer?"
Scarlet's POV=
I chuckled. "Once we get to my old home, I will tell you everything you'd like to know about me." at that, the Houndour pouted. "Do not fret, we aren't too far from it."
With that, Raon's mood went right back to normal, and started to actually pick up the pace. He must really want to learn about my past, which was fair, I haven't told it to anyone. So when Raon hears it, he'll be the very first Pokemon, or human, to hear what I've been through. Through pain, through laughter, Raon would hear every single detail unfiltered. That is, if he wants to hear the awful things I've been through. If not, then I'll likely tell him a version less… detailed.
Before I could keep on thinking, Raon ran ahead of me, and got into a play bow. "So you'd like to wrestle now?" the Houndour barked. With a small chuckle, I playfully pounced at Raon, who was pinned down rather quickly given the weight difference. To my surprise, he got out from under me rather quickly, then pinned me down. "I win!" That was good, he was getting stronger. That meant he could fight back against a Poochyena or Pikachu. Without him being able to use fire without hurting himself, I'll have to deal with the larger threats though.
Raon licked my cheek before getting up and off of me. I then pretended as if I was out of energy, before pouncing on him again. "No, I win." I then grabbed him by the scruff and started carrying him. "Now, let's get a move on, you want to hear my stories just as much as I'd like to tell them to you."
Just as I had said that a Pokeball was thrown over our heads. "This is my lucky day…" said a voice behind us. At first I expected to see Sound behind us, who decided to show his true colours. Instead stood a completely different person. "Okay Raichu, use Volt Tackle on the Ninetales!"
"Raon, stand back." I immediately used Protect to stop the incoming Raichu. "You are a fool." I said before hitting the Raichu with a Flamethrower, and threw it away from me with my telekinesis. Now, was this a competent trainer, or was he new to this whole thing? "Raichu! Are you okay!" Raichu got up with a slight struggle. Perhaps this one wasn't weak, but I knew I can still win this. All I had to do is make sure Raon doesn't get hit, and this whole thing will be set. I used Psychic on the Raichu and knocked it out. "Raon, be careful, he could have another Pokemon, or try to catch us."
The trainer returned his Raichu. "Dammit! Well, all or nothing!" before either me or Raon could react, he threw a Pokeball at the Houndour, sucking him in. The ball shook for a couple of seconds, and stopped with a "ding"
Raon's POV=
What the hell was happening? One moment I felt something hit my shoulder and then it was all black. All I saw was void and a door, was this a Pokeball? A few moments afterwards, the door disappeared. My ears flattened, there was no way out.
Scarlet's POV=
I felt my blood boil as the trainer swiped the Pokeball with Raon inside of it, the poor Houndour didn't even know what hit him when it hit. I didn't even get the time to explain to him how to evade capture. The child ran into the distance, into the trees, and likely back onto the path we had just stepped off of.
I had failed as a guardian, I promised Raon nothing bad would happen to him, and I let him get captured. If the Pokeball had hit me, it would've been fine, because I knew how to break out of those things. If I was just a second faster I could've taken the Pokeball for the pup. I just sat there in shock, and plotting how I would save Raon from this trainer.
The worst thing was, I knew this type of trainer, likely to beat the living hell out of their Pokemon for slipping up in a fight. And Raon was no fighter, so I knew what'd happen if I don't act now.
If Raon is hurting when I catch up to that fool and his Raichu, they won't be anything more than a couple of dead bodies when I'm done with them.
Raon's POV=
I was blinded by light as the void quickly turned into a bunch of trees. "Now to see our new capture!" It was the trainer that ambushed us. He had a baseball cap on, wore a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, and had a grin on his face. "Well, it's no Ninetales, but you'll do!" he reached down to pet me, and I promptly backed away from the incoming hand. While Sound had been nice to me in the past, this kid looked like he's been through a few fist fights. A few of his teeth were missing.
Not a second later he sent out his Raichu, who was now conscious again. "Hey buddy! Meet our new… friend."
"Heya. i'm just going to let you know, you can forget about that Ninetales friend, we're your new friends." He then grimaced. "So why not treat us as such?"
All of a sudden the boy started glaring at me, which took me back for a second. "Now, you are going to help me take down my rival."
My mind slowly drifted off towards Scarlet, did she not bother coming to rescue me? Will she come and save me? The Ninetales did let a Growlithe chase me throughout a city, so that could mean she wouldn't. And even if Scarlet tried to, how the hell would she find me? My hopes started growing bleeker as I was put back into my new "home."
I had to hope Scarlet would keep up to her promise.
