Hi guys. Sorry it's been a long time since the last chapter. I've been working a lot on how to continue and finish this story the way I thought. I hope you guys like it. X
"What do you mean not exactly?" Maxine probed further.
Her and Marshall had now been discussing this issue for twenty minutes but she was still none the wiser as to what exactly was happening. Marshall hadn't really given anything away which didn't help!
"I mean, it wasn't anyone in the port." Marshall repeated.
"But who else could have it been?" Maxine smirked.
Marshall fidgeted in his chair. It was clear to Maxine that this answer wasn't coming easy. Marshall usually gave answers out very easily so whatever it was, it was serious.
"Just tell me sir." Maxine shook her head.
"Have you noticed anything linking the ships together? The Hammersley and the Starlight or any other ships?" Marshall questioned.
"Apart from them being in Navcom no." Maxine shook her head again.
"Well there is." Marshall opened the file.
He then gave Maxine the file back. He had opened it on to the page about Starlight which now had a massive cross over the picture.
"Read it again." Marshall pointed.
"Which part?" Maxine tutted.
Marshall leaned forward to show Maxine. Maxine read the part over and over again. She then spotted it. She turned to one of the other files. It was exactly the same!
"It can't be!" Maxine stared Marshall straight in the eye.
"There's no other explanation. It has to be them." Marshall shrugged.
Maxine looked down at the file again. She couldn't believe it! Not them surely?!

Jim was pacing the floor of the bridge. Kate was taking a very long time with Mike and he wasn't exactly trusted up on the bridge. Bomber and Spider weren't exactly trusting of anyone apart from Kate or Mike. With Jim in charge it just didn't feel right.
"Sorry to bother you sir." Bomber said finally.
"What is it?" Jim hissed.
"I just wondered why we're not moving." Bomber looked around.
"I told them to stop until we knew how Mike was doing." Jim said, trying to think of something to say.
"Right. How is he doing?" Bomber asked.
Jim didn't answer. Bomber turned to Spider and shook her head. Spider kept an eye on Jim as he continued to move. Why would they need to stop if Mike could be sent to the mainland for treatment? Soon enough Buffer re-joined the bridge.
"Bomber, Swaine needs you." Buffer told her.
"Why? What is it?" Bomber asked, surprised at this.
Buffer looked over at Jim who now had an ice cold glare in his direction. Jim's eyes just seemed to stop Buffer from saying anything else. Buffer just told Bomber to go again. Bomber shrugged and did what Buffer said.
"What's up Buf?" Spider asked when she had gone.
"Nothing. Swaine just needs to speak to her." Buffer said, looking at Spider again.
"How's the CO?" Spider asked on behalf of the rest of the crew.
"He'll be fine. Now get on with your job." Jim hissed before Buffer could answer.
"But I haven't got a job to do if we're not moving." Spider spoke up.
"Well find something to do then!" Jim shouted.
Spider quickly got back to work followed by the rest of the bridge. Buffer kept out of the way of Jim's rage. It wasn't a good idea to have Jim on the bridge but if both Kate and Mike were busy, he might be the next best thing.

Bomber finally made her way down to the sick bay. She found the XO waiting outside. Kate smiled when she saw Bomber.
"Hi X." Bomber walked up with a smile.
"Bomber." Kate nodded.
"Buffer said Swaine wanted to see me."
"Yes. He's in there. Well of course he's in there." Kate tutted at herself.
"I'm glad to be off the bridge to be honest."
"Why's that?"
"Jim's being angry with everyone. Don't want to be in his wrath." Bomber smiled.
"That's weird. Why would he be angry?" Kate smirked.
"Bomber?" Swaine asked from inside the sick bay.
"Better go." Bomber said walking into the sick bay.
Kate nodded as the door closed behind Bomber. Kate knew they would be a while so made her way back to the bridge. Maybe if Jim was getting stressed it would be a good idea to take charge again.
Bomber entered the sick bay. She kept back a gasp as she saw Mike lying there. Mike was now very pale and had lost most of his colour in his face.
"What's the matter with him?" Bomber asked, keeping her mind off of it.
"He needs a blood transfusion." Swaine said, not looking up from the ground.
"Why me?"
"You've got the same blood type. We need you to help the CO." Swaine nodded towards Mike.
Bomber didn't really know how to take this information. She hated seeing blood and especially hers but if it was to help Mike then she won't hesitate. She nodded at Swaine hoping he wouldn't get her to answer in words.
"Thanks Bomber." Swaine mouthed.
Swaine put his seat at the end of the sick bay as Bomber sat down on it. Swaine thanked the world that Hammersley wasn't moving at this point in time as it would be a bit hard to find a vein whilst the boat was moving.
"Why aren't we moving?" Swaine asked, somewhat concerned.
"Jim said we needed to see how the CO was before we moved off." Bomber repeated what Jim had told her earlier.
"Right."
Swaine was a bit confused as to why Jim had suddenly made this decision. He knew there would be a reason behind it however, so just got back to work and thought no more about it.

Before Kate could make her way back up to the bridge, a call came from Navcom in her quarters. Kate went into her quarters a little bit annoyed that she couldn't go back to the bridge.
"Lieutenant McGregor." Kate answered.
"Kate, it's Commander White here." Maxine answered.
"Ma'am something wrong?"
"Yes there is. I'm afraid we're going to have to board the Hammersley." Maxine said worried.
Kate chuckled to herself.
"Why?"
"There's a security risk on your boat." Maxine sighed.
"I don't think there is." Kate looked around.
"Just trust me Kate. you and the other boats are in grave danger."
