Chapter 34 : Plans To Go To Tanegashima
It was currently Friday.
On this certain day, Fubuki woke up a bit more earlier than Ayumi. Ayumi usually wakes up on 4:50 AM, which is before the sunrise.
The current time is 4:30 AM.
This is because Fubuki slept a bit too early due to feeling sleepy. It took a toll on her body because she continuously play until midnight and still wakes up early for breakfast. She didn't even manage to do her usual late night streams because of this.
"... I am thirsty..." Fubuki muttered to herself before stretching herself for a bit.
Then she leaves her room. Her steps being soft and silent as to not awaken Ayumi. She doesn't want to interrupt her sleep.
She goes to the refrigerator that was on downstairs and pick a bottle of tea juice in it.
Then she sits goes to the living room and sits on the sofa there. The lights are still lit up because Ayumi doesn't like the whole place to become dark. She always leaves the lights on before she sleeps.
Fubuki stays on the living room after quenching her thirst with the tea juice. It surprisingly makes her awake.
"Hmm... I don't feel sleepy anymore. I think I should look at my mobile." With that decided, Fubuki stood up and go back to her room to get her mobile phone.
After taking it out of it's charger, she goes back to the living room as she opens her mobile. She looks at her Chirper and saw that Aqua has given some messages on her account yesterday evening.
It seems Aqua will be awake on 7:30 AM so they can play Pixelcraft together once again.
Fubuki replied to her messages. After that, she also thanked some of the people that supported her (while trying to ignore those who still kept saying whatever to Kotomi).
"Kuuu... why do they keep calling me a cat? I am a fox!" Fubuki pouted as she tries to reply to those people who always calls her a cat.
After busying herself on looking at her Chirper, and also her YouTube stats, she finally decided to play a game to pass some time.
It seems like it was at this time that Ayumi finally wakes up. She was surprised when she saw Fubuki playing Arclerics in silence mode.
"Oh, good morning!" Fubuki quickly greeted her when she noticed her, though her attention is still on her mobile.
"Good morning." Ayumi greeted back. "I'll be cleaning up for a bit." She continues as she moves to the place where her cleaning utensils are located.
"Okay." Fubuki answered back, her sight is still focused on her game.
As Ayumi was just preparing to clean the house, she heard the doorbell being rung outside her house. This causes her to be surprised.
'Who is it I wonder?' Ayumi thought to herself as she goes to the entrance door to see it.
When she opens it, she saw Matsuri on the other side of the door who was sporting a large smile on her face.
"Good morning Ayumi-chan!~" Matsuri greeted her with a wave of her hand.
"Good morning." Ayumi said before being curious about something. "Why did you come here so early?" She asks in curiosity.
"Ah! I was just passing by to tell you that I'll be gone for three days." Matsuri answered.
"Huh? Why?" Ayumi can't help but ask that in confusion.
"You didn't know? We will be having a school camping trip!" Matsuri said with an excited gleam in her eyes. "Our destination is Tanegashima!" She added.
"... That's pretty far." Ayumi said her honest thoughts after processing that for awhile.
"Yes, and you know what! They will have a local festival in there, or that's what our homeroom teacher said." Matsuri said before she raises her hand. "I am so pumped up! I wonder what kind of stalls and food that I will be seeing there!~" She said excitedly before turning her attention back to Ayumi. "So, I am sorry but I will be gone for a bit." She said with her hands clasped on each other.
Matsuri thinks that Ayumi will become lonely if she leaves. She didn't know that Fubuki also lives along with her.
"Oh I see. Have a nice trip then." Ayumi doesn't know what to do as a response other than that.
"Ah! That's strangely distant. Are you lonely without me?" Matsuri seems to have misunderstood her awkward answer. "Don't worry, I will be back before you know it!" So she reassures her as she patted her on the head.
Ayumi doesn't know what to do other than let her be patted.
After that, Matsuri waves her arms on her way before she moves on the road. Leaving the sight of Ayumi.
Ayumi came back home to begin cleaning the house. Fubuki was still busy on her games.
"Wait a minute... what kind of local festival is that?" Ayumi ask that to no one.
She recalls that there is only one local festival on Tanegashima. And it was supposed to be on March. The date is currently August so that is so weird for her.
Even if she wasn't a highschool graduate, Ayumi still have a knowledge about the local occasions of her own country. It was one of the things that she recalls a lot thanks to her high scores of her status.
'Well, this whole world is also different than what's on my past life.' She thought to herself.
As she said, this whole world was also different than her past life. The landmarks of Yokohama that should be here as she recalls was replaced by something else on this world. Also, there are supernatural beings in this world, which added to the difference it have compared to her past life.
'But there are supernatural things around this world. What if something happens to her because of that?' Ayumi's thoughts turned to the worst once again.
She was trying to become more stronger because of this supernatural beings. At first, her reason is because she wants to protect herself and to be self-sufficient. But when Fubuki came to her, along with her title as the Hololive Founder, her reason was to protect and shelter all the Hololive Members that she remembers from her past life.
She still doesn't know about the status of the other members. She thinks Aqua and her friends seems to be safe, as demonstrated when they played with Fubuki on a daily basis.
But what about the others?
She was still okay at Matsuri because she only commutes to the bus to get to her school (which is also located in Yokohama). But she was going to a place that was a lot farther than where she originally lives which is Osaka. Tanegashima is one of the places that was a part of the extreme southern area of Japan.
She didn't know if there is something dangerous there or not.
'I think... I should follow her.' Ayumi thought before thinking about Fubuki. 'But what about Fubuki-chan?' She thought in concern.
She can't just leave her alone in this house. It will cause her to worry a lot if she did that. Even if she have a portal, she'll just burn herself out by repeatedly going back and forth to her house and the Tanegashima.
'I can just buy a new ability.' It was one of the things that she thought.
She have a lot of FP. She can easily buy some powerful abilities in there.
'Or...' Ayumi's thought suddenly came to a sudden conclusion.
She quickly goes to the living room where Fubuki is located before telling her the plan.
"Fubuki-chan, would you like to go to Tanegashima?" She invited her.
"Hm?" Fubuki was confused. "Why? I thought it would be bad if someone sees me?" She said what she is being confused about.
"I can do something about that." Ayumi answered her. "Also, don't you want to go out?" She asks that while feeling somewhat nervous.
"Hmm... okay, I'll trust you!" Fubuki quickly accepted her invitation.
What Ayumi plans is simple. She will take Fubuki to Tanegashima so she can watch her while also looking out for anything dangerous in that place. It will make Fubuki experience being outside for the first time, and at the same time let Ayumi watch both Fubuki and Matsuri. It's like hitting three birds with one stone.
'I've been holding back on doing this because I felt it will be hard to pull off.' That's what she reasoned herself.
The truth is that she was actually scared of her abilities failing, causing the people to detect Fubuki, which will jeopardize her safety. That was contrary to safeguarding her.
She was planning to buy some abilities that will help her like Reality Warp, Dimensional Manipulation, or even Cloning but she can't. The first two being too expensive while the last one, she was hesitant to even learn.
She doesn't know what would she feel if she saw a clone of herself. She was pretty self-conscious of whether what she is doing is creating a new life that have the same appearance as her or a false one who still have the same memories as her. She might even doubt herself whether she is the real one or not because the clone will have a perfect memory of her.
Basically, she doesn't know what the Cloning ability can do and what is the repercussions of using it. She doesn't want to touch that ability for now.
Fubuki was excited when she heard Ayumi's invitation. Even if she was fine staying on this house forever, she still have a longing to go outside and see the world. So she was anticipating their trip to Tanegashima.
'I hope I am just overreacting and nothing serious is happening on Tanegashima.' Ayumi thought to herself.
After eating their breakfast, Ayumi told Fubuki that she can do her morning stream first to notify her viewers that she will be gone for awhile. So Fubuki just did that while Ayumi was taking care of something else.
Because she decided to take Fubuki out so she won't hold back on her. Though she won't use the Success Ticket for now. She will only use it if it's absolutely necessary.
As for what she is preparing, it's a lot of things. She needs new abilities and new items on her cheat ability. So she buys all of it.

Along with her new abilities are also a lot of things she buys on her Vtuber Shop to create some items that was based on her knowledge she got after taking the Enchantment and Alchemy.
She was a bit doubtful that technology can hide Fubuki's true nature. So she was going to rely on the supernatural. She thinks something on Enchantment will enable her to make some recognition inhibition items.
She have the capability to make technological wonder but she thinks magic is much more versatile when it comes to this kind of things. She still thinks that technology is much better when it comes to conveniences.
Instead of just focusing whether she's going to use science or magic, she decided to use both. Essentially mixing the both of those. And it seems like this is possible base on all the knowledge that she got when acquiring her new abilities.
She quickly got to work and busied herself on making the objects that will hide Fubuki's true nature and let people saw her as just a normal person.
While that is happening, Fubuki was telling her viewers about how she was going to be gone for awhile because she will go on a trip with her friend.
She also said that she will still stream if she have time. There are a lot of apps on mobile that enables people to stream using their Virtual Avatars. Though, it's not that amazing compared to Ayumi's rigging.
AQUA : Oh! Your going to Tanegashima?
ShirakamiFubuki : Yes
AQUA : Cool! We are also planning to go there! Let's meet up!
ShirakamiFubuki : ok
It seems like Aqua and her friends are also coming to Tanegashima. So Fubuki quickly accepted her invitation.
Of course she will tell Ayumi about this. Though she thinks Ayumi will quickly allow her to do so. The girl seems to always grant Fubuki's request so long as it doesn't involve being detected by the other people or something dangerous.
Fubuki played a bit more with Aqua on her server on Pixelcraft until she was done on her morning stream.
At the same time that Fubuki was done on her stream, Ayumi was also done on everything else.
As she tries to wrap this up, Fubuki came down the stairs.
"Oh, your here. Please try this." Ayumi quickly pass her a hooded clothe on her way.
Fubuki just nodded for a bit before she goes somewhere for a bit to change. After awhile, she was now wearing the hoodie.
The hoodie was colored white and it have a cute fox ear design (which looks like a cat ears design). It have a bit of a resemblance on Fubuki's usual outfit, just more covered.
It also have an enchantment that makes it so people only saw her as a human. Even if she put her hood down, as long as she is still wearing it, no one will recognize her real fox ears and fox tails.
"Great!" Ayumi exclaimed in excitement.
Then she pass a lot of the same hood to Fubuki. She made a lot because she thinks Fubuki will want to go out sometime again and she won't like wearing the same hoodie just to go outside. So Ayumi created a lot of variations for her.
"... These are?"
"These are what you are going to wear when you decided to go outside. It will make sure that people doesn't perceive your supernatural features." Ayumi simply explained before moving back to the table.
Fubuki looks at all the variations of hoodies while having a complicated expression.
'Why hoodies?' She thought to herself.
In fact, Ayumi can still create other types of clothes and still make the enchantments for it. But due to a bit of a bias, she thinks making hoodies is the right way for making concealing outfits.
By the way, along with the capability to hide her supernatural features, it also have many enchantments which enhances the wearer's parameters drastically and also cause people to have a harder time hitting her when dangerous things comes on her way, intentional or unintentional.
"Here. I'll be transferring something on your phone." Ayumi said as she opens a file transferring app on her mobile.
Fubuki quickly opens her mobile and opens the same app as Ayumi's. Then the transfer of files was quickly done.
"What's this?" Fubuki ask in curiosity.
"I transferred that will enable you to stream even by just using your mobile. It have the same function as the streaming app that we are using, but it's all mobile now." Ayumi simply explained. "Oh right, you should also carry this." Ayumi continued as she took a laptop case and handed it to Fubuki.
"A laptop?"
"Yes. If you want to stream using this, you can easily do that." Ayumi said to her.
Then she gave two rings on Fubuki. This causes Fubuki to become curious once again.
"What are these?"
"This is the final one. This ring here is an object that will warn you if something dangerous is coming on your way. It will also protect you to most harmful things." Ayumi explained. "And this one is a ring that can store every object you possessed inside it. Think of it like a pocket dimension." Ayumi resumed her explanation on the second ring.
"Woah! So it's like those Inventory on RPG games!?" Fubuki exclaimed in excitement, her eyes lighting up on the second ring.
"Of course. You can just refer the two as Guardian Ring and Storage Ring respectively."
"Foo... I think I want to call this one as Steve's Ring!" Fubuki muttered her opinion on the Storage Ring.
By the way, that was also the official name of the protagonist of Pixelcraft (which is the same as the one on Minecraft).
Ayumi also got the reference as she just smiled wryly.
"I leave that to you." Ayumi simply accepted even while having a complicated feeling about it. "Oh right, inside the... Steve's Ring, I put a lot of things inside it. These will protect you so look into them while I wash myself on the bathroom." Ayumi says before cleaning up the room using her own Storage Ring.
She created one for herself. Also, she created four more to put all her things in her Forbidden Room on it. She even changes it's colors for each of the rings so she can differentiate it and easily define them for what was stored in it.
The storage ring can only carry up to 50 (km3). The weight doesn't matter.
After she was done with all of that, Ayumi told Fubuki that if she was in danger, she needs to call Ayumi as soon as possible. Ayumi will be looking into Matsuri so while she will look into Fubuki, she will also leave her alone for a bit to watch for Matsuri.
"Okay!"
With that affirmation, Ayumi prepared to go out on her house along with her friend.
This is to ensure Matsuri's safety.

Sorry for the very long delay... I was just writing these offline...
So anyway, the plan changes. There will be something a bit serious that will happen in this arc, and this doesn't really involve Ayumi for a bit. She will be accidentally involve because of Matsuri's camping trip.
So this is not the end of the fifth arc. The next chapter will go into the main thing. The main topic of this arc. And there is also a title for this arc.
Fifth Arc : The Little War.
So I know to those who got the reference, you will be thinking that it have something to do with flying super girls duking it out on the skies using post-apocalyptic weapons. But nope, there is a reason why it's called the Little War.
This arc is pretty complicated. It have a lot of things going on in the background. If I pull this off, you will be amazed. But if I mess up in this arc, you will only become confused.
But I already made a diagram about the things happening on Tanegashima (it's obvious that's the next setting of this arc).
So anyway, the first chapters of these arc which is just healing chapters for the last arc can be called as intermissions or prelude to the fifth arc.
