Filler: takes place after discord is sealed away by the elements. Author's note: I want to give a huge shoutout to those who have been following the story thus far, at first I wasn't sure I would do that well but upon my surprise The Mystery In Equestria has already reached 500 views. For all those who read this i want to thank you, without all of you reading/reviewing/following either me or the story, i would have most likely given up but you all have unknowingly encouraged me to continue each and every time.

Chapter 17: The Battle

*Recap*

As the two laid in bed Spitfire got it in her head to tease the stallion as she was recalling the dream she had the other night. With the dream coming back to her she began to gently kiss the stallion on his chest and neck which she received a small groan for her efforts. Looking at the mare who seemed to know what to do in order to get a reaction from him, before he could question her the honey scent from this morning was returning.

"I'm ready to be with you in that way Silver, i love you as i know you love me and i want us to be one even for the night" Spitfire said as she looked into his eyes with a pleading look in her eyes that told him she was telling the truth and was in fact ready to further their relationship. Without responding Silver connected his lips to the mares, as they kissed she started to move more on top of the stallion in order to straddle his waist.

*Present*

Morning started to roll around on a certain pair of ponies who were peacefully sleeping, with the smaller of the two on top of the larger the ponies were none other than Silver and Spitfire. For once Silver was glad seeing as that it was not the sun that decided to interrupt his slumber but the light stir that came from the pony who was currently on top of him. With him slowly coming back to the world of the conscious he soon became aware of his surroundings and what had occurred before they succumbed to the embrace that came with sleep.

As he was opening his eyes he was met with the sight of the face belonging to none other than Spitfire who seemed to be sleeping peacefully. While he was looking at the sleeping form of the mare on top of him which he would admit that she looked cute when she slept, he was brought from his thoughts when she stirred once again only this time giving off a light moan and him coming to realize that his lower region felt rather warm.

Silver began to think about why his lower area was feeling warm and what caused the mare to release a small moan, but he quickly realized that he was still sheathed inside of her during the night. Soon enough Spitfire began to stir more and each were accompanied by a small moan from her and the pleasant feeling in his nether region which followed with her movements. One of the stirs caused her to slide a bit further down his chest which resulted in her bottoming out on the stallion's member and that was followed by a louder moan and was accompanied with a wet feeling that was going from his waist to the bed below.

Upon bottoming out on the stallion below her it was enough to send her over the edge as she climaxed, said climax caused the mare to wake up during the event. When it was over she was still resting on his chest with her eyes slightly glazed over by the pleasure she was feeling as she was panting from the orgasm that woke her up. After catching her breath she turned her head hoping that she hadn't woken up the stallion she was currently using as a full body pillow, when she looked up deep orange eyes met crimson as she gained a blush that started small but soon grew as she looked at the face of the stallion to see the smirk he had, which in her opinion made the already handsome stallion more desirable if it was possible.

Silver leaned forward in order to capture her lips with his in a soft pleasant kiss that fully woke the pair up if they still felt tired before. Eventually during the kiss it began to get more heated until they remembered the situation they were currently in and what it would most likely lead to if it continued. After a solid minute the pair broke the kiss that had a small trail of saliva that still connected their lips, with the kiss now over they returned their gazes in the others eyes slowly becoming lost in the orbs.

"Good morning, beautiful," Silver said as he still had the smirk from earlier on his features.

"Good morning stud" Spitfire said as she started to get up while she attempted to suppress the small moans that escaped from her lips at the feeling of separating their nether regions.

Once she fully unsheathed the stallion below her with a heavy blush on her face as she was the one who now had a limp but did not regret what they did because they became closer with the action and she was happy with the fact that their relationship was steadily increasing at a pace that the two accepted. When Silver got to his hooves he began to stretch out his legs and wings to ease the cramped feeling in them at the inactivity. With his stretches done Silver made his way to the living room while following behind the mare who had a noticeable limp accompanied by her blush knowing the stallion behind her was staring at her flanks, which was correct as he enjoyed the sight of her well toned flanks as he watched the muscles move with each step.

After they made it to the living room Spitfire sat on the couch slightly wincing at the soreness, while Silver made his way to the kitchen in order to start breakfast for the three since he planned to wake up Ruby when he was finished making it. He decided to make a simple breakfast consisting of scrambled eggs and some toast with a glass of orange juice for Ruby and coffee for the ponies. Since it was simple it didn't take very long to finish making it, and once he had put the meal on plates he started to make his way towards the bedroom in order to wake the sleeping dragon.

As he entered his room he saw that Ruby was already in the process of waking up as she was currently rubbing the sleep from her eyes as she sat up on her bed. When the sleep was gone from her eyes her deep sapphire eyes looked towards the approaching stallion as she gained a smile on her face as the word she spoke from last night resurfaced as he was now in front of her. Hearing her call him papa again Silver couldn't help the smile that appeared on his face as he kneeled next to her bed in order for her to get comfy on his back which seemed to be her favorite place to be.

With her comfortably on his back Silver began to make his way back to the kitchen in order to serve the food that he previously made. Once the couch came into his view he noticed that Spitfire was no longer on it, after turning the corner that would take them to the dining room/ kitchen he saw that she was slowly attempting to sit down on the chair that was at the table. As he passed the mare he gave her a small kiss on the cheek as he made his way into the kitchen in order to bring their breakfast to the table.

Levitating the plates from the counter they rested on to the dining table didn't take very long and soon enough the trio were enjoying the tasty yet simple breakfast that was prepared. In between bites of food the ponies would occasionally talk about the plans for the day when she remembered that she was going to have to head back to Clouds-Dale in order to continue the training. At first she was thinking about putting it off until her limp either went away or was not as noticeable as it is currently, with the events of what caused her limp replayed in her mind as she now knew how Dash had gotten it even after she gained the details of her time with the stallion.

"I can teleport you to Clouds-Dale if you want, all I got to know is where you would want to be in the city" Silver said after he took a drink of his morning coffee.

"With the limp some pony gave me, I would appreciate it seeing as the less stares I get the better" Spitfire said as she finished chewing the piece of toast. Seeing the look he was giving her she continued speaking "before you say anything i will be fine i said that i was ready and i don't regret what we did. I enjoyed the feeling that came with being that close with you" Spitfire said as she leaned over to the stallion and gave him a light kiss as to help ease his worries which seemed to work as the worried look was slowly fading away with her words and the gesture.

"Did you have a specific time in mind as to when you wanted to be back in Clouds-Dale?" Silver asked as he swallowed a bite of eggs.

"Well seeing as it is currently 6:30 and I don't usually start training until 9 I would say we got a few hours to spare that we could use to cuddle on the couch" Spitfire said as she looked to the stallion as he nodded at the idea. When the 3 of them finished the meal, they made their way into the living room in order to lay on the couch. As the pair of ponies got comfy on the couch they were soon joined by Ruby who was laying in between the two which caused them to smile.

Time Skip: 2 hours, 8:30am

As they laid on the couch Spitfire looked to the clock that was hanging on the wall as she noticed that she was going to need to get ready soon, when the pair were about to get up they heard the front door open then close followed by 2 different sounds that came from the owners walking along the wood floor. One was that of a ponies hooves while the other was a bit lighter sounded like talons occasionally clicking against the wood with each step, it wasn't long before the owners of the steps came into view, from the hallway out walked Rainbow Dash and Gilda as they wanted to wish their friend good luck on the training.

"Hey Sil, Fire you two sleep well?" Rain asked as she walked into the living room followed by Gilda.

"Yea we slept pretty good how about you two" Spitfire said as she started to get up from the couch seeing as the two would find out eventually.

"How come you are here not that i mind since i placed the spell on the door for a reason" Silver said as he looked at the two while he started to get up now that he was able to.

"We just wanted to spend time with Spitfire before she left to go back to Clouds-Dale," Gilda said as she followed Rain into the living room.

"Ahh that's so sweet of you guys but I'm not gonna be gone for long you know I will be back once Angel is trained to where she can manage the team" Spitfire said as she walked over to the two and gave them a small hug.

After the group sat down they began to converse about the different things that have changed in their lives and that they couldn't be any happier. During their conversation they began to tease Spitfire about the noticeable limp she had which also caused Rainbow Dash to gain a slight blush at the memory of when she had the same and what the cause of said limp was from. As the conversation continued the group began to lose track of time until the clock dinged marking a new hour, causing the group to halt in their conversation and look towards the clock.

"We will miss you Fire it won't be as lively here" Rain said as she was giving her friend a hug.

"Yea who else would we be able to talk to about a certain stallion we all share" Gilda said as she gave the mare a small hug.

As Fire was about to respond to the pair Silver beat her to it, "would you two like to come with?" Silver asked as he looked between the two.

Upon hearing the question they began to shake their head vigorously that they would, soon the three were standing near Silver with Ruby on his back as he instructed before they began to become enveloped in the magical aura that was being emitted from his horn. When the magic fully enveloped them there was a sudden bright light which caused the group minus Silver to close their eyes, when the light faded they bore witness to the entrance to the training field and before anything could be said Gilda made a quick dash to the nearby trash can in order to empty her stomach as that was the first time she teleported.

"Uh i hate teleporting, why didn't you warn me it would be that bad?" Gilda said/ asked in between vomits as Silver made his way to the griffon and began to rub her back to help ease her suffering.

"Sorry Gild I spaced over the fact" Rain said as she walked over to her friend with an apologetic look on her face.

"That was my first time teleporting so I was unaware of its effects" Spitfire said as she stood beside the stallion.

"Then how come you aren't doing this too?" Gilda asked as she looked up feeling the sickness ease up.

"Training, we had to get used to flying at fast speeds and making quick aerobatic turns which could become nauseating" Spitfire said as she recalled her first time doing the intense training in order to prepare herself.

Once Gilda was over the sick feeling the group made their way into the training field seeing as they were curious as to who would replace the mare they knew. The group began to make their way to the center of the field as a group of stallions that were currently there started to stare at the mares and griffon with a look of desire while the mares did the same to Silver, all but one that was as she knew it was highly unlikely she would get a chance.

One of the stallions got a thought in his head as he looked upon Rainbow Dash and said to his friends "stand back and watch I'm going to score with that rainbow hottie" he spoke in a confident tone as his friends gave a cheer of encouragement. The group seeing the stallion walk towards Rain looked towards him as he neared them.

"Hello good looking, what would it take for you to come by my place?" the stallion said as he began to look Rainbow Dash up and down with a hint of lust.

"I have a boyfriend and I don't think he approves of your attempt to flirt with me" Rain said as she glanced behind the stallion briefly.

Looking around trying to pinpoint this boyfriend she mentioned and not seeing one, "I don't see him but I can easily make you forget about him baby" the stallion said as he continued to eye hump the mare.

"Look behind you bud and you will find our boyfriend" Gilda said as she was getting fed up with the stallion's sad attempts.

"Don't worry feathers you can get-" the stallion started to say before a rather cold voice interrupted him which came from behind him "choose your words wisely colt, they might be your last".

"Ohh and what are you gonna do tough guy" the stallion said confidently as he turned around to which resulted in him coming face to well chest, as he looked up he saw the crimson red eyes that appeared to be glowing against the stallions black coat, that seemed to pierce through him which resulted in his previous confidence to disappear in a flash while he was sweating bullets.

"Do you have business with my girlfriends there colt?" Silver said as he slowly walked towards the frozen pony until he was only a few feet away.

"N..no I w..was..wasn't aw...are th...ose we..re y..ou..r gi..rl.. fri...en..ds" the stallion stuttered as he looked at the stallion who towered over him.

"Three" Spitfire said as her, Rain, and Gilda walked next to the stallion they all cared deeply for.

Before the stallion could say anything else Spitfire gained a look similar to Silver's but not as fierce, "you better pray to Celestia with all your might that you impress me recruit or this will be your last training session" Spitfire said as she looked at the stallion disappointedly.

Slowly nodding his head as he walked back towards his group of friends as Silver followed him with his eyes as he gave the stallions group a look that said "don't even try what he did" which caused them all to give a small gulp. When the tension was beginning to ease up a mare that only 2 recognized began to walk towards them as Rain and Gilda were thinking it was Silver's turn to be hit on but were surprised that the mare knew him.

Hello Spitfire, Silver how have you two been doing?, and who might these two be, more recruits maybe?" Angel greeted the pair when she got closer to the group.

"Hey Angel, we have been good and no these are Silver's other girlfriend's. This is Rainbow Dash and Gilda" Spitfire said as she directed the shocked mares attention at the owner of the names .

"Wait, other girlfriend's, wow big guy how many do you have? Angel Wings asked as she looked towards the stallion.

"3 soon to be 4 when me and another get to the point" Silver said casually as he looked towards the mare.

"So you are the one Fire kept on going on about, nice to finally meet you" Rain said as she offered a hoof to the mare.

"Likewise I just hope it wasn't anything embarrassing," Angel said as she looked nervously at her Captain.

"Not at all, it has been nothing but praise" Gilda said as she repeated her friend's gesture except with a talon.

It was at this time when the group were broken from their thoughts as they heard a small voice speak "papa" which resounded from the back of the larger stallion causing the surrounding ponies to look at him confused. Looking behind him Silver lowered his wing in order for the others to see that Ruby was sitting on his back as she rubbed her eyes indicating she just woke up from a small nap. At the sight of the small dark red baby dragon the mares couldn't help but let out a small "aww" as they looked at her before her word suddenly registered in their minds.

"Silver did the dragon just call you papa?" Angel asked as she looked from the baby to the stallion, and received a nod.

"Yes, also her name is Ruby. but that was the first word she said and I don't mind it. Now Ruby I am going to need you to stay on my back seeing as there wasn't any information about if dragons could stay on clouds and I don't want to find out" Silver said as he looked towards the mare as he spoke then back towards Ruby.

When Silver finished what he said the ponies were able to see Ruby slowly nod her head as she hugged Silver's neck before she began to shyly look around finally noticing more ponies she didn't recognize. As if sensing her unease at the larger group of ponies Silver reassured her "don't worry Ruby these ponies won't hurt you, papa will make sure of that" Silver said as he looked towards Ruby as he gave her a warm smile that eased the small dragon.

With the reassurance from her papa Ruby began to look around but locked her eyes on the form of a light gray coated mare walk towards them, when she got closer to the pony dragon pair she finally spoke "Awww you are so adorable, I am Angel Wings and I am a friend of your papa's" Angel said as she looked at the dragon who looked to Silver as if to confirm her claim, as she received a small nod Ruby turned back to the mare before she gave her a big toothy smile which caused the mare to once again squeal.

The group stayed for around 20-30 minutes as they chatted before Silver gave Spitfire a small kiss, while Ruby, Rain, and Gilda all gave her a small hug before wishing her luck on the training before they were once again surrounded in Silver's magical aura indicating they were about to teleport but not before Silver gave a certain griffon a small warning of "brace yourself". After another flash of light the group was gone from the field as they appeared in Silver's living room where they teleported from.

"Uhh teleporting while useful still sucks at the beginning" Gilda said as it seemed as if she was going to puke again but surprised the others as she took a deep breath and calmed herself in order to not.

"Don't worry Gild you will get used to it" Rain said as she remembered she was the same the first time she teleported with Twilight.

"I hope so, this feeling sucks" Gilda said as she was sure she wouldn't throw up whatever was left in her stomach.

As they walked over to the couch and were about to sit down Silver froze in place as he sensed something off in the distance, because as he regained his memories he now could control his magic to what it used to be at, which was nothing to scoff at seeing as it was the highest in the family. Rain and Gilda seeing his reaction voiced their concern "what's the matter? Sil it's like you saw a ghost?" Rain asked as she looked at the stallion.

"Ruby I need you to be a good girl for papa and stay here with Rain and Gilda, I need you 2 stay here until I return there is something I have to deal with, but don't worry it will be quick" Silver said as he gave the mare and griffon a small kiss after receiving a nod and kisses back, before he teleported outside of his home and shot high into the air as he took off at a fast speed in the direction he sensed an ominous presence.

It didn't take long for Silver to reach the area where he sensed the malicious intent as he landed on the ground, while closing his wings but keeping them ready to take to the air any time he seemingly spoke to no pony in particular, "you can come out now I know you are here and knew where you are" Silver said as he proved this by looking at the area he knew the figure was and after 10 seconds a shape started to emerge from the shadows coming from the trees.

After a few more seconds the figure was fully out of the shadows as the being began to walk into the sunlight revealing him to be a unicorn stallion that stood about 6ft, his coat consisted of various different colors all being a pale shade that was seemingly stitched together, the pony also had 2 different colored eyes one was a odd purple while the other was a mix of orange and yellow. Once the being was about 10 feet away from Silver they bowed their head before they spoke in a raspy voice.

"Prince Silver I am glad to have found you, the King and Queen shall be pleased when we return home" the stallion spoke out in a raspy voice with his head still bowed to the stallion before him.

"I have no intention to return home Shadow Stitcher, go back and forget you ever found me" Silver said coldly to the stallion who raised his head at the words.

"I am pleased you remembered me, but I am sorry young Prince but I cannot do that as I am ordered by the King and Queen to find you" the now named Shadow Stitcher said in the same raspy voice.

"I see, then you leave me no choice but you will not be able to leave here alive" Silver said as he quietly whispered "Rirīsu: Rubīsuraisā" which caused his weapon to start rotating around him in a threatening manner as he took to the air a few feet above where he was just standing.

"I am sad to see it come to this but I was given strict orders to bring you back no matter what" Shadow Stitcher said as he started to gather magic in his horn.

"As am I seeing as you were always one I could rely on to have my back in the field during a dual assassination quest, it is a shame you blindly follow them to your death" Silver said as his gaze hardened to the stallion as he gathered magic to his horn.

Once the two stallions had gathered the required magic they both said the name of their spells "Oblivion Beam/ Nerve Decay" as soon as the names left their mouths they rocketed towards the intended target, as the two spells got towards the middle it seemed as if they would collide but they barely grazed the other spell as they continued to the target. Before the two attacks could collide Silver shot high into the sky while Shadow sank into the ground as he moved out of the blast range he assumed the attack had.

After what seemed to be a minute had passed Shadow emerged from the ground as he looked around the area trying to spot the young Prince, he suddenly jumped to the right as a blur passed by him while he smirked thinking that he had gotten slower until a medium sized gash appeared on his cheek indicating that he was wrong in his assumption as a frown began to take over the place the smirk had been previously. Looking at the young prince who was his opponent realized he needed to get serious.

Shadow Stitcher whispered out "Rirīsu: Hōkai shita shi" (Release: Decayed Death) like when Silver called for his weapon a pair of sickly green serpentine like short swords appeared swirling around their owner in a protective manor. The two stallions looked to the other neither making a move nor saying a word, seemingly out of nowhere one of Shadow's short swords shot towards Silver but before it could get to much further one of Silver's scythes blocked it during its path as sparks came from the two blades.

Seeing the stalemate the two withdrew their weapons back to their sides at the ready, this time it was Silver who made the move as a cut suddenly appeared on the back of Shadow while the pony in front of him seemingly vanished as if it was never there but then it dawned on him at what happened as he broke the silence with his realization, "I see an afterimage, you have indeed gotten faster and continue to hold your title well Sky Reaper" Shadow spoke out through gritted teeth.

"As have you but seems as if it was not enough, now is the time I get serious as I have spent too much time here as it is" Silver said as he noticed the shallow cut that was going diagonally up his shoulder.

Once again Silver vanished into thin air as Shadow began to look around for any sign of the stallion but had no luck. A solid minute passed by with the grounded stallion cautiously looking around for his opponent until a booming sound suddenly reached his ears that drew his attention towards the source. But before he could realize what it was a voice shouted out "Crashing Comet" and faster then he could realize a spiraling red blur passed by him as he felt immense pain that caused him to fall to his knees.

At Silver's house

Rainbow Dash and Gilda were sitting in Silver's living room as they occupied Ruby while they pondered over what caused Silver to act like that. But their conversation was interrupted by the sound of a distant but loud booming sound that seemed to shake the house.

"What was that?" Gilda asked after the house finally calmed down as she looked towards her friend.

"I'm not sure but that sounded similar to when I did a Sonic Rainboom" Rain said as she began to look more worried at what caused her to be hoping Silver was safe.

Back with Silver

As Silver came to a skidding halt various cuts started to form across his body that started to bleed, as he stared into the forest there was a sudden wet explosion that resounded through the air as the body of Shadow was cut so many times that quickly that it simply was to much for it to stay together, resulting in the explosion which sent blood and various sized chunks of flesh in different directions. Silver closed his eyes as he was hit by a few chunks and globs of blood that fell from the sky, letting out a sigh he teleported himself to his front door before he started to walk inside.

Hearing the door open and close the pair looked in the direction and voiced their questions they wanted to ask "what caused you to act like that Sil" Rain asked as she waited for the stallion to appear. "What was that loud booming noise that we heard?" Gilda asked as she waited for the stallion to enter the room. Releasing another sigh as he walked into the sight of the two who were waiting for him and at the sight they became worried and fearful as Silver's once black coat was now covered in various sized cuts and splatters of what they assumed blood, his mane and tail which was a black and silver was more red than anything.

"Oh my Celestia are you alright Silver?" Rain asked worriedly as she made her way to the stallion who began to walk down the hallway to the bathroom.

"What happened to you?" Gilda asked as she followed not far after Rain.

"My past" Silver said in a colder voice then either heard him use before even colder then when Rain heard him talk to Soarin, as he simply walked into the bathroom not bothering to close the door seeing as they had the right to be worried.

"What do you mean by your past?" Rain and Gilda asked at the same time as they walked through the doorway to the bathroom.
