Chapter 12: Gryffindor Vs Slytherin

The next two weeks passed and the weather was becoming colder and wetter. The quidditch match was tomorrow and we were all sat in the Gryffindor common room, barring James and Fred. "There's an an owl at the window Rose. I think its your Mums. Dom said. I stood up and went to open the window and let the owl in. She hopped into my shoulder. I went to sit down and unlatched the letters from her leg. There were five letters in my lap. I opened the first one and read.

Dear Rose,

How are you? I hope your schooling is going well. Your Grandad and I haven't heard from anyone in a while, I hope you are all ok. I've talked to all your parents and we are doing the usual for Christmas. Please can you send me the list of your friends that would like to come for Christmas.

"How wants to stay at The Borrow for Christmas?" I asked everyone. Everyone raised their hands, even my family. "Cool, I'll tell Grandma Molly" I opened my next letter.

Hi Rose,

How are you all? I've only heard from Lily recently. Please can you tell my darling eldest to stop pulling pranks causing Professor McGonagal to owl us on a weekly basis. Good luck in you quidditch match!

I'll see you all at Christmas!

Hope your not old for me to call you that! How's the quidditch going. Hugo owled us before Halloween to tell us he made the quidditch team which is fantastic! He worked really hard for years to do that! How's Scorpius? Don't let him pressure you into anything! Don't forget who your are the children of!

Hope your ok. Guess what? Me and Vic have brought a house together! Well we brought a house quite a while ago, but we didn't tell anyone incase it fell through. And even better, it's in Hogsmeade! You can come see us on the next Hogsmeade weekend!

"Ted and Vic brought a house in Hogsmeade!" I told everyone. "Thats great" Dom said, "we can go and see them" everyone else looked happy to.

The Friday before the quidditch match the weather was miserable. The rain was hammering down, the wind was strong and whipping in through the window frames. "Ugh, I really hope the weather improves for tomorrow!" I exclaimed in the quidditch changing rooms. The whole team was sitting there soaked to the skin after a last minute practice. The rest of them nodded except for James who was starring at his shoes.

The next day the weather was exactly the same. In fact it was worse. This morning I got up, threw up, dressed for Quidditch and headed down to the Slytherin common room to meet Scorpius and Al. "Hey Rosie" Scorpius said as he and Al came down the stairs.

"Hi" I smiled giving him a hug.

"Are you sure it's a good idea to play today" Scorpius asked looking out the window.

"I don't have a choice, James would kill me!" I cried.

"Hmm ok" he still looked troubled.

"Let's go down for breakfast, the match is at 11 and it's already 9" Al said herding us down to the great hall.

The whole team was sat in the changing rooms again and James was giving us is annual pre-match pep talk "Right you lot, this is my last year and we are going to win the cup!" He said grabbing his broom and walking out on to the pitch. We all followed to the sound of Dom on the loud speaker commentating the match.

"First we have the Gryffindor team. Captain and seeker James Potter!" Dom shouted over the speaker " And we have chasers Rose Weasley, Lily Potter and Noah Wood! Keeper Emma Wood! And last but not least Fred and Hugo Weasley as beaters!" Dom told the crowd who cheered loudly as we took our places in the sky.

"And now we have the Slytherin team, Captain and seeker Albus Potter, Alex Goyle, Luke Zabini, Ella Greengrass as chasers" Dom told the crowd. "Aidan and Ethan Nott as beaters. Finally Scorpius Malfoy as keeper" the team took to the sky.

We were about an hour into the match and the rain was coming down harder than ever. The score wad 70-20 Gryffindor. "Rose catch" Noah shouted throwing the quaffel at me. I zoomed towards the other end of the pitch. Luckily no one tried to intercept me. I shot at the hoops, Scorpius made an attempt to block me but missed.

"Gryffindor scores" Dom screamed along with the rest of the Gryffindors.

"Rose look out there's a bludger behind you!" Hugo screamed from above. I looked behind me and dropped in the air.

"Has Potter number 1 spotted the snitch" Dom shouted. I looked around and saw James plummeting towards the ground and Albus wasn't far behind. "And James Potter catches the snitch! Gryffindor win!" Dom screamed along with the rest of the Gryffindors.

The team flew down to the ground and threw ourselves at each other. I hugged Lily and Noah before Hugo came up to me "We won Ro! I was part of the team that that won Rose!" He cried into my shoulder as I hugged him. I passed Hugo along and went to hug Emma.

"Well done Rose!" I heard from behind me. I turned around to see James standing there.

"Hey" he said "I'm so sorry Rose! I never should have treated you like that! But you are like a little sister to me. And when someone does that to your little sister, big brother instincts kick in!" He finished.

"That doesn't make what you did right!" I shot back. James hung his head.

"I know." He told me.

"What are you going to do about it then?" I asked him.

"What do you want me to do?"

"Oh I don't know James? What do you think? You should start by apologising to me! And then to Scorpius!" I shouted. People around us were beginning to notice something was going on.

"Ok people nothing to see here" Hugo shouted but that only attracted more people.

"I'm sorry Rose! I should never have done anything like that! Please forgive me!" James pleaded.

"Of course I forgive Jay! I've missed you so much!" I sobbed throwing myself into his arms.

"Hey, it's ok, no need to cry" He tried to soothe me, patting my back awkwardly.

I pulled away and walked through the crowds to find Scorpius. I spotted the Slytherin team grouped together at the edge of pitch, looking miserable. "Hey Guys" I said giving Scorpius a kiss.

"Hey Rose, well done on the match!" Luke Zabini said.

"Thanks, sorry that meant you lost" I told them.

"Oh Rose this is my cousin Ella" Scorpius said introducing me.

"Hi I'm Rose Scorpius girlfriend. I'm glad you and Scorp are talking again! I hope we can be friends!" I told Emma smiling.

"I'd love that! Lets study together sometime." Ella suggested.

"Cool, Tomorrow morning? In the library?" I suggest.

"Thats good, see you then" Ella said walking off to the changing rooms. We did the same.

"I'm glad you and Ella are bonding" Scorpius told me as we walked back up to the castle.

"Me to. Oh I completely forgot, James apologised to me!"I told him grinning again.

"Thats great!" Scorpius said.

"And he should be apologising to you soon to." I assured him. "Do you think I should tell Ella about the pregnancy?" I asked

"If you get on well them maybe? Or you could wait a bit" He suggested. I agreed and we headed off to lunch.

After lunch I headed up to the owlery to reply to the letters I got yesterday.

Dear Grandma,

I good thank you, I hope you and Granddad are ok to. I've spoken to everyone and everyone is free. So thats; Alice, Scorpius, Sophie, Lorcan, Lysander, Emma, Noah, Frank. Not long now!

Hi Dad,

We won our quidditch match today! Hugo was very excited, I'm sure he will owl you to tell you all about it. I would never let Scorpius do anything I wasn't comfortable with. I can't believe that you would even suggest that!

Hope you and Uncle Harry are ok. I wish I could stop James but that is not possible! I've sent Grandma the list of our friends who are staying for Christmas.

I can't believe you've brought a house! Your so grown up! Everyone is so excited to come and see it. Be prepared to get mobbed on the next Hogsmead weekend. See you at Christmas

The next day started exactly the same as all the others. With me throwing up. Again. Then packing my bag with books and heading down to breakfast. "Rose?" Someone called behind me. Ella came running up the steps from the dungeons. "Hi, how are you?" She asked, giving me a hug.

"I'm good thanks." We headed into the hall for breakfast. Not long after we sat down we were joined my Scorpius and Albus.

After eating breakfast with the Scorp and Al, Ella and I headed to the library. "How long have you and Scorpius been together?" Ella asked.

"Umm, a year and half now I think" I told her smiling at the memory.

~flashback~

End of Rose's 4th year

Scorpius and I were sat in a compartment on the Hogwarts Express heading back home for the summer holidays. "Rose there's something that I need to tell you" Scorpius said very quickly, looking and where but at me, "I think I'm in love with you" This he said slowly, staring right at me.

"Really?" I asked barely daring to believe it.

"Of course! I've liked you for years!" He told me, smiling widely now.

"I love you to!" I said. He edged closer to me and our lips collided. His lips on mine felt so natural. We didn't hear to compartment door slide open.

"What the hell" Someone said from behind us. We broke apart, wide eyes and looked up to see Albus. "What on earth is going on?" He asked.

"Al we can explain" I started but Scorpius cut in

"It was my fault. I started it, I told her how I feel. You know how mad I amount about Rose Al? Scorpius told Al whilst I watched in admiration.

"And you feel the same way?" Al asked me.

"Yes! Just as Sophie!" I exclaimed, grabbing Scorpius's hand in mine.

"Good! Just don't hurt each other please" he asked us. "Right, I'll leave you two to talk" He put emphasis on 'talk' and left the compartment.

"So..."

"So..." I echoed

"Do you want to be my girlfriend?" He asked looking at his feet.

"Scorp" I caught his eye, "I would love to" His face broke into a smile. We spent the reminder of the journey just being together.

~end of flashback~

"Rose?" Ella was waving her hand in front of my face.

"Sorry, I was just thinking". We continued to the library where we picked a table and got our books out of our bags.

We stayed in the library for most of the day just chatting and studying together.
