Chapter 13
Yay we've made it to chapter 13, what shall happen this time. Sora has defeated now 2 corrupted souls. And now she has been transported somewhere! Let's begin the story! I don't own gacha world
The glow finally faded and I was soon able to see my surroundings. Tall strange building rose up on all sides and I could see several different platforms sprinkled throughout the skyline.
"Welcome to the Xkour tutorial, are you ready to begin?" an electronic female voice asked, and soon a see through hologram appeared infront of me.
"Hey Ellie, do you know where we are?" I asked my small fairy companion, Ellie closed her eyes for a moment and then nodded upon opening them.
"We are in the world of Xkour, a battle simulation based off of parkour" her answer was all that I needed.
"Thank you miss but we will be going now" I told the hologram, she bowed and then flickered out of existence. Out of politeness I bowed back to place the hologram had stood.
"Sora, why did you turn down her help? We could have used it to become more acquainted with this world" Ellie asked.
"I did that because know everything we need to know, this world revolves on parkour. That is easy compared to everything weve gone through so far. Our main problem will be finding the corruption and killing it." I explained all of this while stretching and warming up my arms and legs.
"Oh and while were at it, could you please keep an eye out for equipment shops?" I asked the small fairy.
"Well oKKKKKKKK!?" I sprinted forward catching the fairy off guard, poor Ellie was forced to burrow herself into my hood as I picked up more speed. The distance between me and the building down the street decreased and soon it was right infront of me. I leapt upward and started wall running upwards, gravity was becoming harder and harder to resist as my speed started to fall.
A quick glance behind told me that a platform was below and ready for someone to leap onto. Finally I stopped running and kicked backwards, throwing myself into a backwards flip. The feeling of being weightless only lasted a moment before landing crouching onto the platform.
"well hi there stranger, havnt seen you before" I whirled around my sword in my hand, I was soon facing a green haired young man with his hands up and my blade at his throat. "Whoa there partner I don't mean you any harm"
"Sorry, i'm a bit jumpy" I lied, my sword hissed upon returning to it's sheath, the man put his hands back down.
"Nah it's my fault, i saw you sprinting up the building like a crazy person and just wanted to meet you" my cheeks blushed an angry red at being thought of as insane.
"Whats so crazy about wall running" the guy sat down for a moment, his hand coming up to his chin making him look deep in thought.
"Well you see, wall running isnt crazy, it's used quite often here, however. Running up a building at a 90 degree angle is not something that people do. Infact your one of the few people i've ever seen try it, as a matter of fact your the only person to actually perform it well enough to get to this hight" my a anger dissipated and turned into embarresment.
"Oh well… wait why does everyone else fail?"
"They fail because of one of these two reasons, 1. They arnt fast enough, and 2. They arnt strong enough. It's quite simple, you have to be both fast and strong to be able to wall run at different angles. You are both, which explains why you are able to go at a 90 for awhile. Oh and by the way, i'm atom!" the guy smirked and stood up stretching his arms.
"All that talking has made me curious, I wanna see how strong you actually are, your combat strength and normal strength arnt the same thing" Atom crouched before motioning for me to join him. As soon as I had settled into position Atom launched himself forward, my eyes could barely follow him. He did a series of flips and jumps off of random things that made me wonder, what kind of people were in this world…
Another smile broke out on my face as I lept forward and followed Atom, my own path was very different from his. I didn't like the constant jumping from one place to another, running was much quicker and I liked it more. My steps thudded agints the glass of the buildings, my hand brushing against it for balance. I could see monster on the streets up ahead and put in another burst of speed, overtaking atom by only a couple feet.
My sword flashed outward and blood sparkled through the air as bats fell lifeless to the ground.
"You arnt bad rookie, but watch as a pro does it" atom smirked and slammed two skull mages heads together. All the monsters appeared to be wind type, kinda like Atom. it was a weird coincidence that kept happening whenever i met someone and monsters appeared. The monster were almost always the same type as the person I was near.
"Hey Ellie, how you holding up back there?" I had entirely forgotten about the fairy, but i wasnt going to break her little heart by saying it outloud.
"Just a little queasy" she groaned, she did infact look a little green, just like the monsters Atom was killing.
"Well when I find a good spot I'll let you know and you can come out and stretch, alright?" I patted her head, Ellie gave me a weak smile before promptly throwing up over the side of my hood. "Man do Fairys have low tolerance for motion sickness?"
"Alright well I think were done here, your pretty good rookie, i'll be seeing you around sometime, k?" I nodded and waved farewell to Atom, he smiled and then promptly launched himself into the air.
I sighed and looked up at the clouds, I still had so much corruption to deal with. Besides that I was really hoping to meet someone soon. I couldn't remember who that someone is but I do know that they were a light type, Ellie wont tell me who they are. Oh well, looks like I have some work ahead of me. Our adventure has only begun.
