Glinda, Bella and Daniella flew low among the trees. They avoided the villages as much as possible. They flew all day and arrived at the edge of the Emearld City for dinner.

'So this is the Emerald city,' Glinda said as they land the bubble.

'It's beautiful.' said Bella.

Daniella nodded. 'I suggest we eat here before heading to our hideout.'

The other two nodded.

During dinner, Bella told how she got the shelter.

'During one of my shifts, someone from the Emerald City came. He said he didn't like how the Wizard treated the Animals. So he had bought a large building somewhere in the back of the city. All Animals could eat and receive shelter there. But now that the Animals are no longer allowed to enter the city. Is it empty.'

Glinda was glad they had a place to sleep. They had one more day to come up with a plan to save Elphaba. Because the day after tomorrow Elphaba would be executed.

They were just cleaning everything up when she heard something behind the bushes. Glinda motioned to the other to be quiet. She walked softly to the bush and

"Chistery what are you doing here" Glinda shouted in surprise.

Chistery walked out of the bush and looked shyly at Glinda. 'I uhm I wwwanted to gggo to sssave Elly' he said softly. 'IIIf I haddd come ssshe might have been with us.'

The three girls looked at each other. They couldn't just send the Monkey back. Their hearts were warmed by the idea that he wanted to help his friend.

'Where are the others?' asked Bella.

'They stayed with the group to protect them from unexpected events.'

The three girls nod approvingly. 'You can join, have you already eaten?' asked Daniella.

Chistery shook his head.

Glinda gave Chistery some more bread and cheese and some water. Then they went on to clean up the stuff. The four of them went to the City.

Glinda and Chistery had disguised themselves so that no one would recognize them. They quickly ran to their hideout. When they arrived, they entered a large hall with several rooms. She unpacked their things.

'I'm already going to the palace. Maybe I can send Niguel a message or come up with a plan how to come up with it." Glinda says. Glinda felt restless. She wanted to do something and was terrified that they might be too late for Elphaba.

'We go along. Chistery you stay here then, you may stand out too much. The guards can quickly recognize you.'

Chistery looked disappointed but understood.

The girls walked towards the palace. They turned the corner. Daniella and Glinda bumped into two people. Glinda and Daniella fell to the ground. When Glinda looked up to see who they were, her eyes opened wide. Nessa and a Tin man. He looked familiar to her. It took Glinda a few minutes to realize it was Boq. Glinda remembered what Elphaba had told what had happened and that she was looking for a counter spell.

'Glinda?' Nessa asks 'What are you doing here?'

'Nessa?' Glinda asks 'What are you doing here?' At the same time. Slowly the four got up.

'What is going on?' Boq asks. 'Glinda what are you doing here?'

'I better ask you that' said Glinda.

'I think it is best to go back to the building.' Bella said.' Because we are here in public and we should not be visible.'

Everyone nodded. They walked to the building where Chistery is. Chistery was surprised to see the group again so soon. Everyone sat at the table. Chistery gave everyone tea and some food. Nessa was hungry so she was grateful for the tea and food.

'Good' Glinda began 'Tell your story and then we tell our story. Then we'll see.'

Boq nodded. He talked about how he turned into the Tinman and what Morrible promised to make sure he did what she wanted.

Then Nessa talked about her experience with Morrible. She talked about Elphaba and about Niguel.

Glinda was very shocked at what Morrible was doing to Elphaba and began to cry softly. Bella tried to comfort Glinda. They couldn't imagine what it was like for Elphaba not to be able to speak. She hated Morrible more by the minute.

Bella and Daniella shared everything that happened in the village and what they want to do for Elphaba.

Everyone was quiet for a while.

'And now?' Nessa asked 'What is your plan?'

"We first want to find out why Elphie can't use magic to free her herself.' Glinda explained. 'Then we wanted to provide a distraction on Wednesday so we can free her.'

Boq and Nessa looked at each other. 'That plan can work,' Nessa started 'but we need help.'

'We?' we asked Daniella. She knows how Nessa has treated Elphaba so she first wanted to make sure which side Nessa is on.

'Nessa and I would like to help.' Boq started.

The other nodded and welcomed the help.

'Morrible will certainly suspect you as the prime suspect,' Bella told Boq as they considered their plan. 'That is why it may be a plan that you go back and make sure you are near Elphaba on Wednesday. That way you can get that thing from her. '

Glinda's face brightened. 'You can pass the message on to Niguel,' she said enthusiastically.

The other nodded. They agreed that liberating Elphaba tomorrow was not an option because Nessa had already escaped. Morrible would keep a much closer eye on Elphaba.

"We need to know what they're going to do with security.' Daniella said. 'Maybe we can make an escape route.'

Boq wrote it on a piece of paper so he could ask Niguel things.

'We have two famous persons, Nessa said thoughtfully. 'And two persons near at Fabala who can free her. Then we have the two of you' as she pointed to Daniella and Bella' who provide transportation to get away. What if Glinda and I stand up for Elphaba during Morrible's big announcement. Then we can distract everyone while Boq and Niguel free her.'

'That sounds like a very good plan,' Glinda said after a while. The other nodded too.

Chistery can help when things go wrong. Glinda added. 'You can give her the broom and also provide distraction from above.'

Chistery looked cheerful. He especially missed his part in the plan. He was happy to be able to do something too.

Nessa and Glinda started to yawn. Boq decided to go back to the palace and the rest went to rest. The next day they would work out the rest of the plan.

Everyone went their own way.

Glinda and Nessa were happy to be able to almost really help Elphaba. They were scared and worried but also knew that together they could solve a lot

Boq slipped back into the palace and went looking for Niguel.

'Master Boq there you are.' Morrible said as she walked up to him.

' Madame.' said Boq 'I was in the garden rethinking what you told me. Then I went to Niguel.' Lied Boq.

'Good to hear. You should know that the witch cannot be trusted.'

Boq nodded. 'You've got that right.'

'Good to hear that you have chosen the right side.'

'Madame, may I be on stage next to you on Wednesday to show my support to everyone in Oz?'

Morrible thought about it and didn't think it was a wrong plan.

'That's good.' she said. 'I'm going to my room. Tomorrow you may have another chance to question the witch.'

'I'd like that, Madame. Good evening.'

Boq exhaled. He didn't even know he had stopped breathing.

He quickly went to Niguel's room. But Niguel wasn't there, so Boq went to the captain's office. He knocked on the door.

'Come in' he heard.

Boq walked in and closed the door. Niguel was surprised to see Boq. 'Did something go wrong?' he asked quickly.

Boq shake his head. He told what had happened and the plan they had made.

'That's pretty smart of you to come back. I can say you were with me. Morrible is starting to trust me.'

Boq nodded. 'I'm going to walk through the City tomorrow. Then I can pass the answers on to them.'

Niguel nodded, he was happy that there was a plan to free Elphaba. He was happy to help take off her handcuffs and mouth mask when everyone was distracted. 'Tomorrow it will be a crazy house because we still have to prepare things and Nessa has escaped. I planned to relocate Elphaba as much as possible so she doesn't lose too much energy tomorrow. Because Wednesday she needs everything it sounds like.'

Boq nodded again. 'I can also distract Morrible a few times.'

The gentlemen started making a schedule so that Morrible only had a chance to be with Elphaba in the morning. They made up the craziest reasons why they had to move Elphaba.

Everyone went to bed when everything was ready. The next day was a crazy and busy day.

Morrible went to the interrogation room. This was her last day to get information from Elphaba. She knew she had to start using Nessa. She hopes the plan works otherwise she will have a war with Munchkinland. She felt increasingly angry at Elphaba. All thanks to that little witch I can't carry out my plans. She ruins everything for me. She thought.

Morrible tried again with a hallucination spell to get Elphaba to speak. But it was no use.

'Fine, if you want to play it like this Elphaba, you have to know for yourself. But that Nessa is getting hurt now is your fault,' says Morrible in Elphaba's ear as she pulls her hair back.

Elphaba grunted again but said nothing

Angry, Morrible ran to the dungeons to get Nessa. Morrible went to her cell and opened the door. To her greatest anger, she sees that the cell is empty.

'CAPTAIN!' shouts Morrible furiously. She strode upstairs. She couldn't see the captain anywhere.

The captain heard Morrible but did not go there. Instead, he walked to the stables. Meanwhile, Boq went down to bring Elphaba down and give her some food.

Morrible was looking for the Captain.

'Captain, I've been looking all over for you. Something is going on. A prisoner has escaped.'

Niguel looked very surprised. 'Oh no Madame how could that happen. Who is it? We have to make a poster right away and warn everyone.'

Morrible hadn't thought about that at all. 'Well she's not that dangerous. Maybe we should look more at how it can be done. In a moment the Witch escapes with help. We need to know how she got out.'Morrible said quickly. If it now became known that Nessa was caught then she already got the angry Munchkin in front of her doorstep.

The captain nodded. He tried to be serious but thought everything was kind of funny.

'Do you already have a suspicious madame?' Niguel asked as he walked her to his office. Morrible looked at the captain.

'Yes I think it is Boq. I do not trust him.'

Niguel nods understandably. 'Maybe I can question him. Then the witch has to go down again so I can put him in the interrogation room,'said Niguel as they sat down in his office. 'Do you have anyone else?'

Morrible thought carefully.

'Maybe we should think of Michael and James.' said Niguel. He didn't like those two men so much because they are only concerned with wealth and are very selfish.

Morrible nodded dubiously. She couldn't imagine that those two men did it. The two men had no guts to argue with her. 'I'll ask those gentlemen. you take care of Boq,' said Morrible after a while.

They each went their separate ways. Niguel went to the dungeons and saw Boq feeding Elphaba. Niguel told everything while treating the wounds of Elphaba. Elphaba sometimes hissed in pain but said nothing more.

Morrible strode to the Wizard's room. She knew those two were there. She couldn't believe those two had helped Nessa. Morrible walked in without knocking. 'Did you help a prisoner escape?' she asked to James and Michael.

The two gentlemen looked confused. 'No.' they said at the same time.

The Wizard jumped hopeful. 'Is Elphaba escaped?' he asked. Morrible glared at him. James pushed him back into his chair.

'No. She didn't escape but her sister did. So we have a clicker in our midst.'

'We are not.' said Michael. 'We were together and with other people the whole time.'

'Although we did see that Boq came back yesterday without a servant while he went away with her.' James said, thinking back.

'Boq.' said Morrible. 'I knew it. I'll keep a closer eye on him.' she said to herself.

'But how could he get her out? She can't walk anyway.' said the Wizard.

'Wait, is that pretty girl who cann`t walk, the little sister of the Wicked Witch? Poor girl.' James said.

'Yes, yes' Morrible says distracted. As much as she hated it, the Wizard had a point. Morrible had taken care of that spoiled child for years. Morrible knew Nessa couldn't walk.

'Maybe the witch did something.' Michael suggested, who had no idea what it was about.

Morrible nodded. 'Maybe the witch had cast a spell on her before.' Morrible couldn't believe Elphaba could do any magic in the state she was in now. Elphaba is physically and mentally exhausted.

'Then that child cheated on me before,' said Morrible furiously.

The Wizard couldn't help but grin in secret. Morrible saw it.

'Wait, Wizard tomorrow you won't laugh anymore. Once you give the order to kill Elphaba, I will yell that you are the reason that chased the Animals from Oz. Everyone will be on my side.'

The Wizard looked at James and Michael in surprise. 'Don't you hear it?'he asked in disbelief. 'She wants to kill me your wonderful Wizard. arrest her' he said pointing at Morrible.

James and Michael shrugged. 'She has promised us wealth.'

'She makes us heroes.'

The Wizard couldn't believe there were such people. Who were so easily bribed But on the other side. He was like that too. He was also selfish. He looked down defeated.

Morrible laughed out loud. 'Nice try. But these two know who's boss.'

She discussed with James and Michael, but especially with James, her plans for tomorrow. She knew she could rely on those two. She didn't know if Glinda would come to help Elphaba. But she wanted to be prepared for anything.

That afternoon Boq walked through town. He had met Glinda at the spot where they met yesterday.

'Boq we are here,' Glinda whispered. 'We are Bella and Glinda.'

Boq rolled his eyes and walked over to them.

'How did it go?' Glinda asked.

Boq smiled. 'Very good. Niguel had identified different suspects than me. We've been keeping Elphaba out of Morrible's hands all day. Niguel told them to clean the interrogation room because I was so scared I did, you know.' He pointed to his butt. He looked away.

Glinda and Bella started to giggle and blush. 'We understand.' said Bella. 'Very smart of you.'

'How is she?' worried Glinda asked.

'She has seen better days. But things are getting better. She now sleeps a lot. I hope she still has energy left tomorrow.'

The girls nodded understandably. Boq explained what Niguel thought of the plan and where the guards would be.

Glinda and Bella told him the latest changes in their plan. They had arranged a horse and cart that would be on the outskirts of the city. Glinda would fly away with Boq, Nessa and Niguel if he wanted to. Chistery would take Elphaba if she couldn't fly herself.

'How is the Wizard?' Bella asked. 'Fiyero kept saying he can be trusted but I haven't seen him yet.'

Boq thought. 'I haven't seen him either. I don't know about him. I'll ask Niguel.'

Bella nodded.' We are not going to see each other again so if the Wizard has to come along then you have to take care of it' said Glinda. She had no interest in that man who was so cowardly. But the more support the better.

Boq nodded. 'I have to go back before they miss me.' The girls nod and walked away.

What they didn't know was that Michael Boq had been followed. When Boq returned to the palace, he went to Niguel. Michael went to Morrible.

'Boq teams up with Glinda and another girl. But I couldn't hear what they were saying.'

Morrible said 'I knew it. Thank you Michael. You'll watch Glinda when you see her tomorrow, you know what she looks like. If you have the chance, shoot her.'

She walked up to James and said. 'If you have the chance, shoot the Witch. I want her dead tomorrow.' The men looked mean and nodded. 'With pleasure, Madame.

The nerves made it difficult for everyone to sleep except Elphaba who was glad she had been left alone for a day. She felt better than she had felt all week. She was still not her old self but was a bit stronger

Today was the day Glinda thought while she was having breakfast. Nobody got a bite down their throat. But they had to eat or they would regret it later. Just when it is noon, the court of Elphaba begins. She wanted to stand on the side so that Glinda and Nessa could draw attention away from Elphaba. Everyone was nervous and discussed their plan for the umpteenth time. Bella and Daniella would tell people in the morning about the good deeds that Elphaba had done. Chistery went to hide near the palace towers. Everyone went their separate ways. It was now or never.

Morrible gave the Wizard another chance to go along voluntarily and say his lines himself. But he refused. Morrible enchanted him and his eyes turned black again.

Morrible would stand be behind the Wizard so that no one could see that she was talking. The guards took their places in the crowd. Niguel and Boq made sure they were near Elphaba.

Elphaba was preparing for the end. She had been given a reasonable breakfast by the guards because they thought it was funny how Elphaba played with Morrible. But that was never said to Morrible.

Elphaba's hands were tied behind her back and the mouth mask was tightened again. She was at the bottom of the platform with Morrible, the Wizard, Niguel and Boq between four different guards. This is it she thought sad. My celebration throughout Oz.
