Hey everybody! I know that it's been very long since I posted a chapter, but hey, here I am! And here's the chapter!

ANNABETH

She woke up, but she didn't have her dinner, her mood was too sullen for having an appetite. Her mother also let her some alone time, for which she was grateful.

She slept that day, and had a dreamless night. The gods were good, and she was in a state to attend college the next day. But they weren't even that good. She was running late. Very late.

The first lecture had already began by the time she reached the lecture room. She apologised to Madam Minerva and took a seat in the back.

She didn't sit on her usual desk, instead she choose the last bench. This is where I will be sitting till I am done with my college. And it wouldn't be a long time, considering the fact that the final examinations for her PG would be conducted 10 days from today.

Annabeth was too disturbed to pay any heed to what Madam Minerva was teaching. I guess I will go to the Britain's branch of Chase Industries. Her mom had told her that the branch was lacking a MD, so she would be able to go over there. Away from Percy Jackson. Away from my broken heart. Away from all the sorrows. The lecture ended in a haze.

So did her day. She recalled nothing but her planning about what she'll be doing after she was done with her college life. She did her best to avoid Jasper, Caleo and…. especially Pereyna.

But her luck slapped her in the face once again when she was leaving for her home.

"Hey Annabeth!" Leo called behind her just as she was opening her car's door. FUCK!

She had to turn around and greet the whole lot as if the whole world was fucking right! "Hey everyone." she greeted them.

"Hey" Piper said with concern, "Hope you are doing well, I called you yesterday, but you didn't pick any of my calls."

"Uh, yeah" she had already decided what she'd lie, "My mom surprised me with a visit yesterday so I couldn't pick your calls. Sorry"

"Oh" Piper said, "It's okay Annabeth. As long as you're well" she placed her hand on Annabeth's shoulder, "It's all well." But I am not well. All's not well. Nothing's well!

"Thank you Piper" she was really thankful for having such a good friend. Even though she's absolutely useless to me at this moment. Stop thinking negatively, Annabeth! She scolded herself.

"Hey" Jason broke in, "by the way, do you Know that Percy and Reyna are dating?!"

"WHAT?!" she had practised this particular fake expression of happiness and excitement and amazement in front of her dressing mirror, she didn't want any unwanted theories of her crush on Percy.

"Uh, yeah" Percy replied sheepishly, "That's what I was trying to tell you the other night, the fact that I wanted to date Reyna."

"Oh" she feigned, "Anyway" she put on a smile, "Congratulations Percy!" she hugged him. I hugged him! I fucking hugged him! Why? Luckily, everyone including Reyna took it as a friendly hug.

But Percy understood. The way she had hugged him, and had hugged him a bit too long. She had poured all her emotions in it. Love. Lust. Heartbreak. Sorrow. Excitement. Disappointment. Everything.

"Congratulations Reyna" she even hugged Reyna to close the case of suspicions rising. How I am happy for you, dear Reyna.

The rest was all talks and teases. She did her best to keep her eyesight off of Percy's hand resting about Reyna's waist.

She drove home, slowly, listening to music. Music made her feel better, but only for an instance. Then her emotions overflowed the sound of music.

She spoke to her mom in the evening. Athena Chase was working on some new project, it seems. But she set her MacBook aside as soon as Annabeth said that she wanted to talk about something important to her.

"I will be done with my college in the next 3 weeks, mom" she started as she made herself comfortable on the couch, "I don't want to spend any more time in New York. I want to be away from all of it."

She paused and then continued, "You were saying that a branch in Britain was lacking an MD? I'll go . Anywhere but here. I want to be somewhere else. Away from New York."

"Away from New York?" her mom said after a long silence, keeping her eyes focused on her laptop, "Or away from Percy?" she looked her in the eye.

"Anyway" her mom gathered her papers and her laptop and got up, "If that is what you want, you'll have it. But Annabeth, running won't help. You can't run from your destiny, child. If there's only sorrow in it, you'll find sorrow even in Britain. If there's joy in it, you can find it even in New York. Here."

With that Athena Chase walked to her room. Leaving Annabeth to herself. And her sorrows. Annabeth went to sleep uneasily that day.

The next she knew, she was standing in front of her college locker. She turned and saw Percy right behind her.

"Percy" she exclaimed, shocked.

"Hey Annabeth" he said, "I uh, wanted to talk to you"

"Yes?" she said. Please tell me that you love me. PLEASE!

"I, uh, made a mistake" he looked her in the eyes. Just like he had done that day in the car. "I shouldn't have dated Reyna." He took her hands into his, but strangely, she could feel the touch of his hands only on her palms, like that day when she had placed her hand upon his.

"It's you I love, Annabeth," he spoke softly, "Not Reyna. I don't want to date her. You Annabeth, are my perfect girl. You." And he hugged her. But the hug again felt like that day's hug. As if she was hugging him, where as he was the one who was hugging her.

Why isn't he kissing me then? No worries, I will kiss him. She leaned in closer. And just as her lips were about to touch his, she felt a stab in her back.

She turned and found Reyna, dagger in a hand dripping red liquid. My blood.

She felt her breath escaping her body, and she felt limp. She raised her hand, so that Percy could hold her, but even he just turned his back on her and walked away. With his hand about Reyna's waist.

No, you can't do this, Percy. You can't leave me! No! Annabeth chase woke up, breathing and sweating heavily.

It was just a dream. Nothing else. It was just a dream. She calmed herself down and gulped down a glass of water.

But when she returned to her bed, she realized it then. It wasn't a dream, it was a nightmare.

Okay then. I know it's been very late, but I promised you lot to decide about the story's ending. And as a matter of fact, I have done that already! But, I won't be telling you lot the results now, but don't you all worry, nothing can change my mind now. Whatever the case, please don't forget to review!
