Epilogue

Yozora in Tsukune's hometown

A few days after Tsukune and Yozora had left Yokai Academy for the human world, Moka Akashiya, Kurumu Kurono, Yukari Sendo, Mizore Shirayuki, Ruby Tojo, and Ginei Morioka saw a letter that Yozora had written on the club room table.

Dear Moka, Gin, Kurumu, Yukari, Mizore, and Ruby.

I hope you guys are doing okay. Tsukune and I decided to go to the human world for some well deserved R&R. Also, we wanted to let you know that I'm actually having some fun in Tsukune's hometown. There are arcades, Karaoke bars, Restaurants with all types of food from around the world, a park with lots of lakes and playgrounds, and hotels.

I'm staying at Tsukune's house since I asked if it was all right with him. I've already met his mother, Kasumi Aono. She's a good natured woman, and loves her son so much. Also, if you do want to visit him, I'll let her know that you guys are all friends from Yokai Academy. Just, try to be careful not to incur the wrath of Moka's other self. Our privileges would actually be revoked if there were reports of you guys causing a ruckus at any part of Japan.

Anyway, take care of yourselves, and each other.

See you soon,

Yozora.

Kurumu smiled at this letter Yozora had written, and turned to her friends.

"I'm happy to see that Tsukune and Yozora are still best friends, even after everything that's transpired," she said.

"Yeah, how long has it been since we talked about visiting the human world again?" asked Moka.

"Hmm… an eternity," said Mizore.

Ruby, Yukari, and Gin nodded in agreement.

"I, um," Ruby said hesitantly.

"Out with it," Yukari said.

"I just… Ah, damn it. The hell is this so hard?" Gin asked.

They stood in silence for a long time, until Ruby decided to take a deep breath and slowly let it out.

"So, I… I've made my peace. Still… Knowing that we are family, and seeing you here, now, it's… more than I can take," Ruby said as tears slowly rolled down her cheeks.

"Yeah. you're damn right it is," agreed Yukari.

"Huh, you spit it out," added Kurumu.

"It's good to hear," sighed Mizore.

Even Moka nodded in agreement as she slowly stood up and looked at her friends through her tear stricken eyes. They all looked at her and wondered what it was she had to say to them.

"Well… what can I say? You guys… are the best," she said.

Back in the human world, Tsukune and Yozora were both walking and talking to each other when they decided to stop by a restaurant on the way. Yozora did have an odd craving for cheeseburgers, but wanted to keep the vegetables out of it. Neither of them noticed a girl with red hair tied in bushy twintails with big red bows, had the same eye color as Moka, and fair skin. She wore what looked like a regular sailor suit, with a white shirt, a red sailor girl top, with buttons and a tie that was split in two, a short yellow-green skirt, long red-brown stockings with a white stripe at the top, and a pair of low heel shoes walking out of the restaurant with a bat on her shoulder. After the two bros sat down at a table and placed their orders, they didn't notice that the girl and her pet bat were listening in on their conversation.

"Guess with Moka and the rest of the gang going on summer vacation too, things should start calming down a bit, while Yokai Academy's gonna be under construction," said Yozora.

"Yeah, I hear you, Yozora. But at the very least, I'm happy to have people like her, Kurumu, Yukari, Mizore, Gin, Ruby, and you at my side. After all, I wouldn't be the person I am without all of you. So thank you, for being part of my family at that school," replied Tsukune.

Their food was soon set on the table. Yozora soon carefully removed the vegetables off of his burger, which of course made Tsukune a bit surprised, while he ate his food, which was London broil, linguini, and vegetables to keep him strong and healthy. But neither of them saw the girl walking off down the city streets.

"They were talking about Moka, right?" asked the bat.

"Oh yeah, we're totally going to Yokai Academy to eliminate her pink-haired incarnation!" the girl said with a maniacal grin.

"Yeah, we're gonna make sure the real Moka will notice you! But, not in a weird way. It's because you both love and worship her, am I right?" the bat asked again.

"Just shut your damn mouth." she hissed at her pet.

After eating a hearty lunch, Tsukune and Yozora headed down to Yoyogi Park in Shibuya, where they saw a girl with short black hair with silver hair clips and light aqua colored eyes. She was wearing a bright red jacket over a white T-shirt, a blue denim skirt, and brown boots.

"Oh, Kyoko!' Tsukune called out to her.

Kyoko Aono turned and saw both her cousin, and Yozora standing near the water fountain at the lake.

"Hey, Tsuki!" she called back to him, then she noticed Yozora standing nearby him.

"Who's this guy?" she asked Tsukune curiously.

"Oh, right, this is my best friend," Tsukune said to her.

"I'm Yozora Ikeda, it's a pleasure to meet you," the wizard said as he took her hand in his and shook it.

Kyoko started blushing intensely, as the wind blew at his hair, making it flutter to one side, while she looked upon his handsome face and mismatched eyes.

"It's nice to meet you too, Yozora," Kyoko said in a bit of a flustered state.

At first Tsukune seemed a bit surprised that Yozora wasn't dressed in his Yokai Academy uniform. But he didn't mind seeing him in regular street clothes.

"Hey, Yozora. I just wanna ask but, what are you to Tsukune?" Kyoko asked.

"You might say that we're in something called a bromance. When you merge the words bro and romance together, that's what two guys who like each other but are still best friends are in," explained the wizard.

"Don't mind him, he's a bit eccentric when it comes to who and what he is," Tsukune assured his cousin.

Kyoko nodded, as they continued to explore almost each and every part of Tsukune's home town. Though they played video games at the arcade, Yozora did win some against his friends, but he acknowledged that they did their best to try and beat him. Afterwards they returned to the Aono residence where Kasumi had just finished making final preparations for dinner.

"Oh, you three are just in time for dinner," she said to them.

"Thank you, Mrs. Aono," replied Yozora, who had just taken a seat near Tsukune's father, Koji.

"Well, I see my son and niece met a rather interesting gentleman. You must be Yozora Ikeda," he said.

"Yes sir," replied the wizard.

"It's a great pleasure to meet you," Koji said ecstatically as he shook the young man's hand.

"Pleasure to meet you as well," Yozora said after he released his hand.

As they ate their dinner together and drank tea, Kasumi began asking Yozora how he met her son.

"Ah, well it's sort of like this. When I was aboard the bus to school on my own, I was sort of a lone wolf. But when your son came on board, we sort of hit it off almost instantly. Now, although we sort of started off as acquaintances, we slowly started to know each other bit by bit, until Kyoko called him on his phone. That's when we went through a dark tunnel, which pretty much cut off all reception. Also, as for the rest of Tsukune's friends, well, let's just say that they are both different and unique in their own way, like myself. The school that we go to has something called a Prime Directive, where you must ensure that you don't reveal too much about what you are to anyone. Of course, if you're familiar with all types of creatures from different mythologies that you see or hear about in books, video games, movies, TV shows, radio plays, or from what you learn at different schools, you'd be surprised if you did see some of them turning up on your doorstep in real life. But sometimes the visual effects department behind those creatures, as well as the writers who describe them can give you some details about them, and make you believe that they are real," Yozora explained in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Wow! That's actually pretty impressive," Kyoko said with excitement on her face.

"How very interesting," added Kasumi.

Koji and Tsukune nodded in agreement as well. (Even though Tsukune knew that his friends were actual monsters, that bold move Yozora had made about keeping Yokai Academy and the other monsters a secret from them.)

"But what if you were in fact an actual monster?" asked Koji.

"Well, If I did tell all of you, you'd have to swear an oath of undying secrecy about what I am," answered the wizard.

"It's like they always say. 'Everything is not what it seems,'" added Tsukune.

"Just like Selena Gomez said in the show 'Wizards of Waverly Place,'" piped in Kyoko.

Soon everyone was off to bed, but Kasumi had told Yozora that he would be sleeping in the same room with Kyoko. Kyoko seemed a bit hesitant, until Yozora assured her that everything would be okay. As the days passed by, It was now just one week before the end of Summer Vacation for Tsukune, Yozora, and all of their friends. Kyoko then sat beside Yozora on the couch as he was playing some video games on one of the gaming consoles that Tsukune had in the living room. Tsukune had told him that while he was a gamer, he wanted to make sure that he was well fit and athletic when he played sports with most of his friends. The consoles that Tsukune had were a Nintendo Switch, an Xbox one, a Playstation 4, and several other older consoles that Tsukune kept in in storage, since his parents had bought a HD television that was kept on display.

"Phew, that was pretty tense. But at least the Death Star is no more," said Yozora, who had just managed to beat the last level of Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga.

"Yeah, I still cry at the part when Anakin asks Luke to remove the mask so that he can see him with his own eyes," replied Kyoko, as they watched the final ingame cutscene, which marked the end of 'Return of the Jedi.'

In his bedroom, Tsukune looked out the window towards the sky above. He knew that somewhere all of his other friends would be waiting to see him again. But deep down his best bro Yozora would also be there for his second year at Yokai Academy, with new students that would be coming to that school for their first year.

In their homes from other locations in the Yokai Realm, Moka, Kurumu, Yukari, Gin, Mizore, and Ruby, would also be watching out for their friends, as they knew that this reunion would allow them to connect with each other once again at the place they would call home. They were all from two worlds, but they would always be one family.
