Chapter 14: To Catch a Pokémon Smuggler!
Ash and his friends are walking on the road, until they hear a sound, Clemont asks, "Ash? What's wrong?"
"I don't know, I thought I heard a strange sound..." Ash asks as they stop their tracks, Serena asks, "Ash? What sound?"
Just then, they hear Trenor's stomach growling and Luke asks, "Don't tell me that the sound you heard is your brother's stomach..."
"Sorry guys, I guess I was just hungry." Trenor says as everyone laughs, Ash laughs a little at first, but then he turns serious and says, "No, that is not the sound that I heard...and it is getting louder..."
"What?" The other five are confused until Ash yells, "Everyone move!"
Just then, they move out of the road and then a man with a Diggersby pass by the group on a jeep and it is going in high speed.
"What was that?" Serena asks.
"Yeah, what is that guy's problem?" Bonnie yells.
"Get back here!" Just then, they turn around and see Officer Jenny and her Manectric rushing with the motorcycle. Luke says, "Is that Officer Jenny?"
"If she is chasing that jeep, then the driver of that jeep...must be some sort of criminal." Ash says, causing the others to shiver.
As they decide to check it out, they notice a cage near the tree, and two Bug Pokemon is staying there.
"Hey, that's Scatterbug." Clemont says, and both Scatterbug just faint in the end. "Oh no!" Ash says as he grabs both Pokemon and he says, "They look weak, we better take them to the Pokemon Center." Ash says.
"It is a good thing that the Center is nearby." Serena says after searching the place, then they quickly rush towards the Center and gives Nurse Joy the two Pokemon for treatment.
After a while, Nurse Joy then comes out with both Scatterbugs feeling fine. "Don't worry, they were just exhausted. They will need to take some rest and they'll be fine."
Everyone is relieved at the situation until Nurse Joy then speaks up again. "So do these Scatterbug belong to any of you?"
"No, why do you ask?" Luke asks.
"Because from what I scanned, they are not from this area, in fact, two of them are from different areas." Says Nurse Joy, much to their shock.
"What do you mean not from this area?" Ash asks.
Nurse Joy then shows them Vivillion on the main screen each with different Wing Patterns.
"Wow, I wonder which Scatterbug are these from?" Bonnie says excitedly. "I can't wait to find out."
"So if you aren't their owners, then where did you find these two Scatterbug?" Joy asks.
"Well..." Before Ash can reply, a knot is thrown around his wrist and was pulled backwards.
"I finally found you, thief!" They turn around and see Officer Jenny and her Manectric growling at them.
"Hey, what is that for? I am not a thief" Ash says angrily as he tries to escape.
"You must be an accomplice of Dolan the Smuggler, those Scatterbug are the proof, stop resisting and come with me!"
"Wait, Officer, he is telling the truth!" Just then, a hand holds the officer's arm and the officer turns around and surprises to see that it is no other than Aurora.
"Mom?" Ash and Trenor are surprised to see her here, and Aurora says, "I can vouch for my son that he is no thief."
"Yeah, we just see his cage falls off and take the Scatterbugs here for treatment." Ash says. "We aren't accomplice to any poachers or something else."
Officer Jenny then looks at everyone and she can tell in their eyes, they are telling the truth. She then leaves the rope go and apologizes. In the cafeteria they continue to conversate.
"So Mother, what are you doing here?" Ash asks, "I start to wonder if you are following us on our journey..."
Aurora says, "I am not going to deny that, but as you see." Aurora takes out a police ID and she says, "I am also a member of the International Police, as I was looking around for criminal activities."
"What? For real?" This causes the others to get shock.
"Indeed, and after investigating about Team Flare ever since that incident in Lumiose City, I think that you have a high chance that you will be in danger because of them. So I am going to make sure that you won't do anything reckless." Aurora turns to Officer Jenny and says, "Can you tell us about that smuggler that you were chasing earlier?"
Officer Jenny nods and says, "The smugglers capture Pokémon from various regions all over the world and sell them on a large scale on the Internet. Dolan is a smuggler that specializes in Vivillon, so he captures Scatterbug and Spewpa in large amounts and keeps them locked in his hideout. Then, when they evolve into Vivillon, he sells them for a high price."
"We can't let him get away with this. Officer Jenny, we will assist you for this mission." Ash says.
Officer Jenny nods, and then they see the two Scatterbug starting to get restless and is scattering around in circle. After that, they start to glow and they evolve into Spewpa.
Serena says, "Wow, they evolved..."
"That was so cool, it is the first time I have seen an evolution." Bonnie says.
"Well, evolution is a progress that some Pokemon have, Pokemon gain experiences so that they can be stronger, and some of them will be able to change their visual appearances. Other evolutions like Pikachu can be achieved with High Friendship, Evolution Stones, I know that some Pokemon also evolve with the help of Trading." Ash says.
The group are looking at him with shock and Aurora just smiles, "How did you learn all of that?" Serena asks him.
"Well, experiences." Ash says, but then he notices a red glow. "Hey what is that?"
Clemont says, "Let me see." He uses the magnify glass to see a chip emitting radio waves.
"This must be the tracking devices, Dolan must have attached them on the Pokemon so he will find them back..." Ash says.
"Which means that there is a high chance that he might be somewhere near by." Trenor says.
"What should we do?" Bonnie asks.
"How about we use those two as a bait so that we can locate his hideout." Serena asks, Aurora says, "It is too dangerous, we can't put Spewpa in harms way."
"Then how about I disguise as one? Trenor can help me as well." Ash says to Aurora, who has been thinking for a while and then she says, "I think we have no other choice."
Then Ash and Trenor use the move Transform to become Spewpa, Bonnie says, "You know, I still can't believe that Ash and Trenor can become any Pokemon they want due to the move Transform."
"It sure is cool being a Mythical Pokemon disguising as a human." Clemont says.
After putting the two back in the cages, they start to hide and wait for Dolan to appear. Dolan eventually show up and then they take the two of them to his hideout. Clemont also put on the tracking device on Ash and Trenor, but eventually the main controller explodes, causing Aurora to send out Butterfree to find them.
Once they arrive at the hideout, the two siblings are shocked to see so many Spewpa. It is until then they reveal themselves. "You have gone so far, Dolan!"
Dolan turns around and they find that the cage is broken, Ash and Trenor are standing there.
"Who are you and where are the Spewpa?" Dolan demands.
"We are here to stop you and free those Spewpa." Trenor says as Ash sends out his Froakie.
At the same time, the others, minus Officer Jenny and Aurora, have arrived, but they step into the traps and they are caught in the net. But both Spewpa jump onto Ash's shoulders and Dolan says, "So those are the Spewpas that I am going to sell. I must say you are very clever."
"You are not going to take them!" Ash yells.
Trenor says, "Brother, Froakie has a great advantage against a Ground Type like Diggersby."
"I know." Ash says.
Dolan orders Mud Shot, which Froakie dodges and counters with Bubble. Diggersby disappears under the ground with Dig, and hits Froakie despite Ash's warnings. While Froakie can't dodge in mid-air, Diggersby uses Double Slap. As Froakie lands it prepares to retaliate with a Water Pulse, but Diggersby uses Hammer Arm and knocks Froakie down.
"Finish with Hammer Arm!" Dolan yells, but the Spewpa jump forward and use Protect. At the same time, Spewpa is acting strange, and is running around in circles, eventually start glowing as they are evolving. But what they see is beyond their expectation. A Vivillon has a pattern of a Pokeball, and a Pink one with flowers on them.
"I have never seen those Vivillon before." Clemont says.
"Me neither." Trenor says. "Those must be new patterns of Vivillon."
"Those two new patterns, just think about how much money I will get after selling them!" Dolan says with greed in his eyes, much to Ash's disgust. "I can't forgive you who thinks Pokemon as items to trade with money."
Ash then commands Vivillon to counter-attack with Stun Spore which sends Diggersby crashing to the floor, unable to battle.
Dolan whips out a net to capture Vivillon by hand, but his hand is lassoed by none other than Officer Jenny.
"Surrender now. Dolan!" Jenny says. "Or I'll give you an Electro Ball."
"As if I'll surrender." Dolan says as he tries to approach Officer Jenny.
Two Vivillon nod at each other and rain down their scales, which have an effect of quelling one's combative spirit. Dolan gives in easily. At the same time, Aurora also arrives and frees the Spewpa and Serena and the others who are tied on the tree.
"Are you okay?" Aurora asks, and they nod.
After praising their Pokémon, the Spewpa gather around the group, they all simultaneously all evolve into different forms of Vivillon. "Just how many forms are there?" Bonnie asks.
"I can tell that with those two new forms, there are a total of 20 forms." Aurora says. After that, a lot of Vivillon fly away, making a beautiful sight, but with the exception of 20.
"Huh? Why didn't you guys go with them?" Ash asks in confusion, and then the 20 of them start to fly in circles around Ash and Serena, much to their confusion.
"Wow, they look so cute." Bonnie exclaims. "And beautiful as well. I am really jealous of you guys..."
"Well, I think this dance sure is a special way to show their thanks." Luke replies with a smile.
Aurora smiles and says, "Well, it seems like all of them want to come with you, since you are the one that free them from Dolan, the smuggler."
"Is that so?" Serena asks, and the Vivillon all nod.
Eventually, they manage to capture all 20 of them, with the Pokeball pattern one goes to Ash and the Fancy Pattern one goes to Serena, as for the rest, they are going with Aurora back to their mansion.
"Alright!" Ash and Serena say in union. "We caught Vivillon!"
The other Pokemon and everyone cheer for them, then Ash and Serena send them out as Pikachu, Froakie and Sylveon start to play with the two Pokemon.
Here is a new chapter, this chapter is a remake of the episode 12. I am going to state that I won't be writing some chapters which I think has no relation to the story progress, which means that the next chapter is going to be the Espurr mansion. I hope you like this chapter.
