Next Morning
Kavin and Dushyant were standing at the airport.
"Jaana toh padega" Dush said.
"Mana kisne kiya?" Kv smirked at him.
"Haan haan, teri girlfriends waha intezaar kar rhi hogi" Dush teased.
"Hn na, lekin jiska wait main kar rha woh toh aayi hi nahi" Kavin sighed.
"Terko kyu lagta ki woh aayegi"
"I can bet on it. Woh zarur aayegi"
Their argument continued.
"Kyaa hua? Tum dono aese lad kyu rhe ho? Kiske aane ki baat kar rahe ho?" Abhijeet asked interrupting their fight on Purvi's coming.
"She's here" Kavin wishpered to Dushyant after looking at all the three people standing in front of him.
"Kavin" Daya called out.
"Haan sir.. Sir woh kuch nahi bas aese hi baat kar rahe the hum dono toh" Kavin tried to divert the topic "waise sir, Hum log toh jaane ko ready hai par aap yaha?"
"Haan woh tum dono se baat karni thi. Woh actually yeh bolna tha ki be careful, Riyazi ke logo ka kuch pta nahi hai." Abhijeet said.
"Yes sir. Don't worry, We will handle everything." Dushyant assured.
"Well, Okay then. Let's go Purvi." Daya said turning towards Purvi who was looking at Kavin.
"Yes sir" She said in a low tone.
And they left.
"Woh dekhegi" Dushyant said.
"Zarur" Kavin assured.
And Purvi turned to look at them. She found them already looking at her so she turned back immediately and paced her speed up making Kavin and Dushyant chuckle at her behavior.
'Are you stupid? What was the need to look back at them. Kaise hass rhe hai dono" She said to herself stealing a glance at them while Abhijeet and Daya talked to a guard standing there.
"Kisi bhi tarha inko pta nahi chalna chahiye ki I do care about them. Purvi, You have to control your actions." Her thoughts got interrupted "Chale?" By Daya's voice. Purvi noded and the left.
"Chal flight ka time ho rha hai" Kavin said. "Fark toh padta hai" he thought to himself and made their way towards the check-in counter.
Kolkata
"Sir Mumbai se do officers aa rhe hai to take information about Ajay", Kabir said.
"Aa gye bhaii", Kavin said entering into the bureau.
Everyone looked at them. Some were confused while some were happy. Kabir rushed to Dushyant and hugged him tightly.
"Bhai, marne ka plan hai kya tera?", Dushyant said chuckling.
"Chuck that, tum log aa rhe the aur bataya bhi nahi.", Aashima said and hugged Kavin.
"Kavin, Dushyant, bohot time baad dekh rhe hai tumhe. Kaise ho tum log?", Acp sir asked.
"Hum thik hai sir, aap bataiye.", Dushyant replied.
"Bas sab thik hai. Kitne waqt baad dekh rha hu tum logo ko main.", Acp said and looked at others and explained them that they used to work over here. How amazing family they guys had few years back but then things changed.
"I am happy, ab sab thik hai. Purvi aur Ishita kaisi hai?", Kabir asked.
"Tum sab ne toh jaise rishta hi tod liya tha hum logo se.", Ashima said, with a sad smile, afterall when your best-friends drifts apart, nothing hurts more than that.
"They are fine, tu sad na ho yaarr, jaldi milenge sab saath mein.", Dushyant said while Kavin was looking all around.
"Kya dekh rha hai tu?", Dushyant asked him.
"Kitna change ho gya hai yaha pe sab.", He said.
"Guys, lets not get sad and kuch masti karte hai na.. waise bhi hum log kitne time baad mile hai.", Aashima said.
"Ab terko hum log mana kare, marna thodi hai hume.", Dushyant teased her.
"Haha, very funny.", Aashima said making faces.
"Has toh fir acche se.", Dushyant smirked.
"Guys, tum dono wapis shuru mat ho jao. Kitna lad rahe ho. Kuch cheeze kabhi nahi badalti and you guys and our bond is one of them.", Kabir said looking at Kavin.
"Cheeze badal jaati hai Kabir, rishte bhi badal jaatein hai.", Kavin said getting up from his place and left while Kabir looked at his disappearing figure. Dushyant noticed some water in Kabir's eyes and then at Kavin.
"Guys I think hum logo ko chalna chahiye. Woh files bhi collect karni hai.", Dushyant said and the two noded and left with him while Kavin waited for them in the car. They guys sat in the car and left for the headquarters.
It was quite difficult ride for two while for the other two it was a happy one. Remembering the old days gave pain to some while smiles to others. They reached the headquarters, collected files related to the case and left.
"Tum log aaj toh yahi ho na?", Acp sir asked them.
"Haan sir.", Dush replied.
"Theeke hai toh mere ghar chalo fir tum log.", Acp sir said "and it's an order.", Before they can refuse, acp sir told his decision and willingly or unwillingly they have to stay.
"Sir khaana bada tasty tha.", Kavin said.
"Kabir ne banaya." And with this Kavin looked at Kabir, he smiled and get up from the chair "chalo sir, main bohot thak gya hu. Good night." And Kavin left without anyone's response.
"Kabir.", Acp sir called out.
"Koi baat nhi dad. Few relations can never get back to the way they way they used to be." And Kabir too lef while Dushyant and Acp sir sighed.
"Sir, pta nahi kyu in dono mein itni duriya aa gyi.", Dushyant said.
"Best friends the yeh dono, lekin ab... Mujhe lga tha waqt ke saath sab thik ho jayega but maybe their friendship had lived it's life." Acp sir said looking at a picture of Kavin, Kabir and him.
"Tum aaram kar lo jaake.", Acp sir told Dushyant and left. Dush closed his eyes and rested his head back on the chair. He opened his eyes "Kavin ki life mein itni problems kyu hai bhagwaan... Kya problem hai aapko usse?", He said and get up and left for his room.
Kavin was sitting at the terrace and it was around 1 at night. He was in his own thoughts.
Kya sahi khel khela hai yaar life ne. Jisko best friend bola tha kabhi usse aaj baat hi nhi hoti.. himmat nahi hai usse baat karne ki ab. I want everything to be same as before but what Kabir did was something I can't forget even when I try to. I can't forgive him. Pta nhi kyu. Main kabhi uske samne nhi aana chahta tha but aaj uske saamne khada hu. Aur ab toh he will work with us. Shit man, how will I bear him around. And on the other hand, Purvi. Iski toh kasam se Mumbai jaake class lunga. Nalayak kahi ki... Mann toh kar rha hai galiya du par nhi de sakta... I soo hate her for doing this to me.
Mumbai
"Dush se abhi abhi baat hui.. Kabir will accompany them and he will also work with us on this case.", Ishita informed.
"Kavin?"
"Thik hai woh. Everything's fine."
"I hope so."
"In dono ke beech jhagda nahi hua, maybe because they guys are mature now but inko saath jhelna will be a headache. Yeh headquarters ki toh aesi ki tesi.. pta nhi kya hi soch ke inhone Kabir ko iss case mein involve kiya." Purvi's though came to an end when Ishita called her for dinner.
"1 baj gaye. Kha le behen ab."
"Haan chal aa rhi main."
Ishita and Purvi have their dinner but Purvi was still thinking about Kavin. She's worried about him. Anyways, she somehow sleeps after 30 mins.
Kolkata
"Kabse betha hai tu yaha?" Kavin see's Dushyant sitting near him.
"Kya pta."
Dushyant simply nods.
"Arz kiya hai, jab yaad kisi ki aati hai toh dil bhi ro deta hai, aakhir log bina kiraye ke jo rehte hai"
Kavin looked at Dushyant and rolled his eyes.
"Tu kuch accha nahi bol sakta?"
"Tu bta na kya soch rha hai?", Dushyant asked coming straight to the point, "Purvi ya Kabir?"
"Hayat."
"Bro, jyada na soch. We will find her soon."
"We have to dude!", Kavin said with some spark in his eyes.
"That's my boy. Chal abhi sote. Kal wapis bhi jaana hai.", Dushyant said getting up.
"Good night bro.", Kavin said.
"Good night."
They left to their rooms.
