"Midoriya?" Shoto asked as he kneeled by the side of the vigilante he recognized as Rabbit.

Rabbit flinched but then sighed. "Yeah… Thanks for getting here in time Todoroki. I'm not sure what would have happened if you and Hawks didn't come."

Shoto hummed. In a way it made sense that Izuku was Rabbit; it made far more sense than any of the other theories he'd come up with. He still didn't believe that Izuku and Katsuki weren't related though. "We would have been here faster if those monsters weren't attacking the city. We let Bakugou go ahead while we dealt with them." Shoto said as he brought out some gauze and started wrapping Izuku's wounds. "Can you walk?"

Izuku nodded and stood up; Shoto took one of Izuku's arms and slung it over his shoulder. "Shinsou took more of a beating then I did. I think he may have a concussion."

Shoto brought them over to where Shinsou was still slumped against the wall. Shinsou blinked up at them. Izuku frowned even though no one could see it. "We need to get back to Aizawa. He's not gonna be happy that we went off on our own."

Shinsou let out a painful sounding laugh. "Yeah, if he didn't know he sure will now."

Shoto looked at the two in concern. "You two shouldn't be going anywhere if you're hurt."

Izuku shrugged. "We're vigilantes. Plus you guys have it under control here." Izuku looked at the fight for a moment. It seemed that Hawks had nearly managed to subdue the hero killer with the help of Katsuki and Iida.

"At least let me take you part of the way. You can't support your own weight and his." Shoto said, gesturing to Shinsou.

It seemed like Izuku was going to argue but one glance at Shinsou seemed to stop him. "Alright. You're right. It would be better to have some help."

With that Shoto nodded and helped Shinsou onto his feet. He knew Hawks noticed them leave but he said nothing. He figured that once they finished off Stain that they would get help for the other pro.

Izuku directed them to where they were supposed to wait for Aizawa. To his relief, or dismay he wasn't sure yet, Aizawa was there and caught sight of them immediately. He came up to them and took in Izuku and Shinsou's condition before turning to Todoroki. "What happened?"

"They were fighting the hero killer before me and Hawks arrived. I'm not sure what happened before that." Todoroki answered simply.

Aizawa's eyebrows furrowed as he turned to Izuku looking for an explanation. Izuku wrung his hands before pulling his mask down. "I got a text from Kacchan saying that one of your students was here and was in trouble so we went looking for him. He almost died so we stepped in to save him." Izuku finished quietly.

Aizawa sighed. "Problem child…" He muttered quietly. He then turned back to Todoroki. "Go back to Hawks. I'll take care of these two." Todoroki nodded and with one last look at Izuku ran back in the direction they had come. Aizawa looked over their injuries. "It could have been much worse. You're lucky that nothing too serious happened. You two still need treatment though. Get out of your costumes so I can get you to a hospital."

Izuku quickly did as he was told and helped Shinsou do the same; he was very glad their other clothes were still nearby. As he was changing he glanced back at Aizawa. Izuku knew that he wanted to talk to them about being the vigilantes but also knew that he wouldn't bring it up now. Izuku suspected that he would be talking to them as soon as they were out of the hospital.

It wasn't long after that an ambulance arrived to take them, Izuku wasn't even sure when Aizawa had called for it, and they all got in. The ride seemed to take no time at all. Everything after that became a blur for Izuku. They were rushed into the hospital when they arrived and were put through treatment both from quirks and normal medical practices. Izuku is also fairly certain that they both passed out soon after.

Izuku woke up blinking at the bright room. He turned his head to see Shinsou sitting up and casually scrolling through his looked over at him. "Glad to see you up. How are you feeling?" He asked, putting his phone down.

Izuku slowly sat up. "I should be the one asking you that." He smiled. "I don't feel terrible all things considered though. You?"

Shinsou hummed. "I can't really complain. Bit of a headache but that's really it." He paused and looked back down at his phone for a moment. "Everyone is worried about us though. Even Hatsume in her own way. It's weird getting concern from Bakugou though." Shinsou exaggerated a shiver.

Izuku laughed. "It's not often he shows concern in an obvious way. It's usually cryptic"

Shinsou nodded. "That's what makes me unsure if I'm still dreaming or not."

Izuku shrugged. "I guess we're both having the same strange dream then."

It was then that Katsuki himself burst into the room, much to the dismay of a few nurses on the other side of the door that Izuku caught sight of. He stomped straight over to Izuku and wrapped him in a tight hug. Shinsou stared at the out of character display of affection, extremely confused. Katsuki held the hug for a few moments more before backing away and crossing his arms. "I can't even get mad at you this time cause it was my fucking fault in the first place. Though knowing you you'd have gotten yourself into some other form of trouble anyway." Katsuki said, frowning.

Izuku smiled cheekily and shrugged. "You do like to say I seem to attract trouble. I remember you blaming me everytime we encountered Eraserhead when we first started."

Katsuki rolled his eyes. "Whatever nerd. I'm just glad you two idiots are ok."

"And here I thought it was weird to get concern from Bakugou over text." Shinsou spoke up while shaking his head. "Truly this is some strange world I've found myself in."

"Oh shut the fuck up Eyebags." Katsuki shot back, lacking some of the usual force behind it.

Falling back into mostly normal bickering was a comfortable thing for Izuku. It helped take his mind off recent events a little. Katsuki sat down in the chair between Izuku and Shinsou's beds. Izuku then remembered that Katsuki had been injured too.

"How are you doing Kacchan?" Izuku asked, trying to look him over for signs of obvious injuries that might have happened after they left. "Oh! And Iida and Native are they ok?" Izuku added on, eyes widening.

"I'm fine and so are they Deku. Hawks took care of the bastard. Me and Four Eyes barely did anything after he showed up. Icyhot helped too when he got back. Fucking Four Eyes is driving me crazy though. He wants to thank the people that saved him and remembers me acting all buddy buddy with you. He's convinced I can introduce him. Won't leave me alone about it." Katsuki huffed.

"You do know us though. He isn't wrong." Shinsou added helpfully.

"Not helping Shinsou." Izuku said quietly as he saw Katsuki's eye twitch. "Maybe offer to deliver a message? If he's convinced it might be the only way to get him off your back." Izuku suggested.

Katsuki seemed to consider it for a moment. "Not the worst fucking plan I guess. Hopefully he'll leave me alone after that."

The three let a comfortable silence fall over them that was interrupted by a knock at the door. Aizawa walked in and Izuku could pick up the barest hint of a smile on his face. He walked into the room and stood in front of their beds. He looked at Bakugou. "I'm glad to see you're doing well Bakugou."

Katsuki inclined his head politely to his teacher. "Yeah, thanks."

Aizawa turned his attention back to Izuku and Shinsou. "So, you two nearly got yourselves killed after directly disobeying me and leaving the area I told you to stay in." Aizawa started, voice even.

Both Shinsou and Izuku flinched. In hindsight what they had done was stupid, but it all worked out right? Izuku would have never been able to forgive himself if Iida had died because he ignored Katsuki's message. That's what heroes did right? They saved others even at the risk of their own life. Izuku quickly glanced at Katsuki. His arms were crossed and he didn't acknowledge Izuku at all. He'd be staying out of this then. Aizawa let the two stew in their thoughts before speaking up again. "What you two did is not only illegal but extremely hero killer had taken out several pros before. What made you think you two could stop him?"

Neither of them answered. They both got the impression they weren't supposed to. "Any other pro would have turned you two in and you'd likely be expelled."Aizawa sent them a hard glare. "As this doesn't only show your failure to listen it also shows my failure as your teacher."

Both of them looked down. If Izuku was being honest he wasn't thinking about the consequences when he decided to go after Stain and save Iida. He didn't think that they could fail and they would have failed if help hadn't arrived in time. Izuku barely repressed a shiver. Him hastily throwing both himself and Shinsou into that situation could have gotten them both killed. There was a reason that they only took on small time villains. They didn't want to risk getting into a situation that they couldn't get out of. With it being only him and Katsuki for years they had to be careful to pick their battles as much as they wanted to help everyone they could.

Aizawa sighed. "But." He said slowly. Both Izuku and Shinsou's heads shot up to look at him again. "As far as the authorities know you two were hurt in the chaos that was created when the nomu attacked. I also have no plans of getting you two expelled. I'm trying to get you two on the path to becoming legal heroes. It wouldn't be logical to expel you here."

Izuku felt relief wash over him and based on how Shinsou's shoulders slumped Izuku assumed he felt the same way. "So now what?" Izuku asked timidly.

"Now?" Aizawa raised an eyebrow. "Now you three work with me so I can get you on a more legal path to heroism. As long as you do that what happened stays between us."

"Well that's a pretty sweet fucking deal you're offering us Eraser." Katsuki said, smirking.

Aizawa sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "I'm surprised I never connected your personalities earlier. You don't do a good job at hiding it"

Katsuki shrugged. "Why the hell would I hide who I am? Couldn't catch me based on personality alone."

"Kacchan there's no need to antagonize him…" Izuku pleaded.

"Oh he fucking used to it by now." Katsuki said, unconcerned.

"I'm still your teacher Bakugou." Aizawa said as he ruffled his hair. Katsuki sputtered protests and flailed his arms slightly. "So don't act like that around anyone who doesn't know."

"Whatever…" Katsuki muttered, crossing his arms again.

"So? Do we have a deal?" Aizawa asked regarding the three of them.

They all looked at each other. This was the next step. They turned to face him. "We accept!" Izuku said, smiling.

Several days later…

News spread about Stain's capture. Though unexpectedly so did the news that a small group of vigilantes had been involved. Since no footage was captured of the event rumors ran rampant and were blown way out of proportion. The currently accepted story was that the vigilante team had taken Stain down by themselves and Hawks had only been a convenient way to give the credit to a legal hero. People began to dig more into what the group had done and only became more convinced the story was true.

While this new found fame attracted a lot of positive attention it also attracted some more, questionable attention. Villains and heroes alike started to pay attention to what the small group did. People started blogs to theorize who they were and what their quirks were. Every known appearance of them was catalogued as people attempted to figure out who they were

Izuku walked up to UA with Katsuki by his side. There wasn't school today but after Eraser proposed his deal to them and they accepted they promised to answer any questions he might have. He had also requested that everyone who knew come as well. As such Shinsou, Todoroki, and Hatsume were standing at the gate. Izuku and Katsuki joined them and chatted until Aizawa came out to meet them. He gestured for them to follow and led them to one of the school's many gyms. The group all took a seat at one of the chairs that had been set up.

"Alright. Let's get on with it." Aizawa said, turning his attention to Izuku and Katsuki. "First, why turn to vigilantism?"

Izuku took a breath. "I was the first one to start it. I didn't really do anything at first. I just was practicing fighting and doing some basic parkour. I did it because…" He trailed off before picking back up again. "I felt helpless and I wanted to do something."

Katsuki watched him as he spoke. "I started so the idiot didn't get himself killed. Found him sneaking out one night and confronted him on it. Knew the nerd wouldn't stop no matter what I did, so I decided to help him instead."

Aizawa hummed and turned to Shinsou. "And you?"

Shinsou startled slightly before regaining his composure. "I started after I found out Midoriya was Rabbit. I wanted to get into the hero course so I got them to train me." He finished with a shrug.

"And then you two." Aizawa addressed Todoroki and Hatsume. "How did you find out?"

"I found out during Hosu. I had no idea before then. Midoriya sent our group chat his location during the incident. When I got there and didn't see him and instead saw Rabbit I made the connection." Todoroki explained.

"And I found out when Shinsou did!" Hatsume excitedly explained. "Now me and Midoriya make all kinds of cute babies together!"

"You wha-" Aizawa was cut off.

"WE MAKE SUPPORT GEAR!" Izuku corrected while covering his face. "Hatsume please stop phrasing it like that!"

Hatsume shot Aizawa a smile but said nothing more. Aizawa nodded slowly. "Alright. Now Bakugou, Midoriya." Both turned their attention to him. "How are you two even able to do your vigilante work without being caught by your parents? You've been doing it for years I find it hard to believe that they don't know." You could feel the mood of the room drop. Katsuki mumbled something under his breath. "What was that Bakugou?" Aizawa asked.

"I said, it's hard for them to find out if they're dead." Katsuki replied quietly. Izuku seemed to suddenly find the floor very interesting.

Shouta blinked at the two. He had not been expecting that. Who were these two living with? How did they get by? He temporarily shook those thoughts from his head. They seemed healthy enough so they had to be living with someone. "What happened?" Shouta asked, equally as quiet.

Instead of Katsuki speaking up again Izuku did. "Villain attack, when we were five. They had some sort of fire quirk and burnt the apartment building we both lived in to the ground. Heroes managed to get to us but…" Izuku trailed off.

"Our current 'legal guardian' is our landlord. She doesn't really care what we do so long as we don't wreck the apartment. And Deku's dad still sends him money. We mostly live off that. As well as money we get from doing any odd jobs we can." Katsuki added.

"That doesn't seem like the best situation." Shouta stated.

Katsuki frowned. "Better than the alternative." Shouta tried to gesture for him to elaborate but it seemed that wasn't somewhere he wanted to go.

Shouta hadn't known what he was expecting from this, but what he got was not even on his list of possibilities. He watched as Todoroki stood up and placed a comforting hand on Izuku's shoulder; giving him a small smile. Izuku smiled back. Shinsou and Hatsume likewise got up to comfort the two boys. Katsuki looked like he didn't want anything to do with it, but Shouta knew better by now. As he watched the group of friends interact Shouta swore something to himself. He would help them become the best damn heroes the world has ever seen.
