Episode 15: A Shark vs A Chosen One.
Kamishiro's House. Night time.
Ryoga: "Very nice, for now – I am a Pokémon Tamer, one who really has tamed a shark. An ultimate shark who is going to fight on my side! Anyway – what am I saying, a man – a Barian Emperror, who is dating an another Pokémon? …"
Ryoga, without his Barian Emperor form he had canceled once he got this Shiny Sharpedo into a Poke Ball, had been lying on bed holding his new comrade in his hand. He had been feeling completely exhausted, yet happy, satisfied and prepared for next day once he gets a good sleep. Yet, he wanted to try it out against his biggest rival for Jane's hand&heart (though sometimes she has legs only, sometimes – she is a limb-less): Ash Ketchum.
Ryoga: "Yes, Twerp, I am gonna beat you tomorrow. You will see the difference between both of us – you and me, Jane-chan will be with me!"
Rio: nee-chan, please go asleep, it is so late now. I wanna sleep, could you please at least speak through your dreaming silently?
Ryoga felt asleep, not going to make his little sister feel uncomfortable because of being "too loud", yet being unable to throw his thoughts away. Finally, placing his Shiny Sharpedo inside the Poke Ball, he had finally fallen asleep.
Heartland Outskirts. 6 am.
Jane: Ash-kun, Ryoga-kun, know what I do propose both of you to do for now? I hope both of you slept well and ready for today's day!
Ryoga: not sure, what do you mean, Jane-chan – but I am ready and I may be guessing what plans are you having on both of us!
Ash: what's that, Jane-chan? I am ready, and my Pikachu is ready too – and all my 4 other Pokémons I brought here are ready!
Jane: I would like you to try each other in fight and check who can do better both. I am sure both of you have different skills, so I would like to check it out. First, I will let you duel, then you will check your Pokémons' powers and skills. Deal?
Ryoga: be sure I am gonna crush you in both occasions, Twerps, you stand no chance! And once I do, Jane-chan will be mine!
Ash: don't dream too much, Blue Head – I am gonna crush you as soon as that you won't even gonna be able to lift a turn against me!
Jane: guys, don't quarrel, duel and battle! I am not going to choose just one of you, I love both of you equally! Plus … if you kill each other, Ryoga-kun, Ash-kun – I will have to find an another life mate …
Ash&Ryoga: yeee-s, Jane-chan … Jane-sama … Jane-sempai! We are best friends with [Him], we would never do such things, aha, aha – ahahahahaha!
Both Zero, Infi, Newton and Shay were absent due to having some own very personal activities to do, so Jane could spend her time with both of her boyfriends under her training concepts and such yet. Yet, Jane had to suppress both Ash's and Ryoga's intention to kick each other's butts before it would be turned into even worse consequences later.
Jane: fine, first – Duel. Duel because I have learnt how to duel before deciding to become a Pokémon Trainer, not to mention that I am a Pokémon by myself.
Ryoga: fine, which means first victory is mine since you may be a talented duelist – but I am still a veteran by myself, Twerp!
Duel has started rapidly, with Ryoga – of course – dominating over his major rival for Jane's heart and hand. Without wasting many turns, Shark had won his Duel against his the most formidable rival, though still losing few life points.
Shark: I do activate [Bottomless Hole], and – thanks to my Monster effect, it can be kept on field for now! Now, attack his life points straight to zero! Yes, Twerp, I have won – you had no any chance against me because I am better in every single way!
Ash: congratulations then, Blue Head … *laughs friendly* but it is just the first part of our little today's tournament, don't you think so? I will crash you with my Pikachu, who is gonna electrify you and your team. Am I right, my friend?
Pikachu: Piii-kaaaa!
Ryoga: fine, Twerp, I will crash you again with my new friend – I chose you, Sharpedo the Water Warrior!
Ash: man, I understand you love fishes – sharks especially, yet, it has a type disadvantage so I feel our battle won't be that fun …
Nurse Joy: Oh hello, Jane-san. I guess you are training those 2? I remember Ash-san from watching League life stream on TV, but that man with a weird hairstyle … I am seeing him very first time …
Jane: both of them are my boyfriends. In fact, I am still unsure with whom I am going to stay really … Ash-kun just had learnt how to duel, while Ryoga-kun just had learnt how to be a Pokémon Trainer …
Nurse Joy: have you taught both of them doing that? Or have you asked a Pokémon Professor for help? And what are duels? Hearing very first time about them …
Jane: nope, I have done that by myself, using nothing but my own Trainer and Duelist skills … Though you are going to understand me in future …
Nurse Joy: what do you mean, Jane-san?
Jane: oh never mind, Joy-sensei. Just enjoy what you usually do enjoy, it is your job to host different Pokémon Trainers who visits this city – right?
Nurse Joy dynasty had been known for being widespread and having a lot of similar siblings all around the world of all ages. Yet, there was one man who had been managing to differentiate them all – Brock, the leader of Pewter City, or – Takeshi, as known from others. In fact, he had been some kind of Don Juan, or maybe Casanova – meaning he had a special feeling towards females.
Ash and Ryoga had already been dueling on a small stadium outside from the Pokémon Center itself, so they surely wouldn't destroy the whole building. In other words, they haven't even entered the building itself (at least, Ryoga had healed his Shiny Sharpedo yesterday).
Ash: one hint for you, Blue Head – my Pikachu is an Electric type, meaning your Sharpedo is weak against him since it is a Water one.
Ryoga: do you really think that I am so dumb and stupid, Twerp!? Of course I know that, especially because I am good in PE! Plus, be sure that your Yellow Rat won't be able to lift a single hit against my Shiny Sharpedo, Twerp!
Ash: my bad, Blue Head – because Pikachu has a lot of experience from even against Legendaries – though they are not as powerful as Jane – except of Arceus the God itself though he failed to do anything signigicant, of course – not to mention his high speed! So, don't even expect that your Shiny Sharpedo is going to outspeed my veteran and best friend ever, Blue Head! Oh, by the way: Shiny form does not make your Pokémon more powerful – saying that because I also have a Shiny Pokémon too, but it is being far away recently. But I can tell you for sure: it is way weaker than my Pikachu. Ok, Pikachu, I chose you!
Pikachu: piii-ka!
Ryoga: oh well, is that necessary to say those words once you throwing your Pokémon into the battle, Twerp?
Ash: well … consider that as some kind of a ritual, Blue Head! Ok, fine then – show your new Pokémon!
Ryoga: don't regret about later then, Twerp! Fine … FINE! I chose you, Shiny … Sharpedo! Bite him to the death!
Ash: my bad, Blue Head, but I wouldn't recommend your Shiny Sharpedo swallow Pikachu, I really wouldn't do …
Ryoga: well let's see what can you do … hey, Sharpedo, first – what name would you like me to call you by?
Sharpedo nodded to Ryoga: it had been seeming like a warrior shiny shark had been seeing a good potential in Ryoga. Or maybe because of his inner power and status as a duelist – his water-based deck? Pokémons have pretty strong inner sense and linking, meaning that they feel more about others – no matter of who they are. Sharpedo also had demonstrated all of its 4 moves it had been knowing at the moment, though – with a pretty annoyed face, showing some kind of disappointment. Crunch, Aqua Jet, Slash and Agility – had been seeming like if Sharpedo was at level 34 – like Jane's Mamoswine. At least, that's all what it had just demonstrated as Ryoga asked it for.
Ash: your Sharpedo looks pretty neat, Blue Head! Good moves, I guess we could start and since you have less experience than me …!
Ryoga: how funny! Ok, Sharpedo – use Agility, and then – Crunch this annoying Yellow Rat! Do that now!
Ash: Blue Head, listen, you may dislike my little yellow friend – but, in fact, your Pokémon should know a name of its opponent, unless if I had given a nickname to a Pikachu.
Ryoga: what?
In fact, to call a particular Pokémon by another name than its own, that particular Pokemon had to have a nickname – given by a trainer. In fact, Sharpedo just hadn't started even attacking – it had do any idea whom had Ryoga been talking about, looking at its trainer with a confused face expression.
Ryoga: Fine then, Twerp! Ok, Sharpedo – use Agility, and then – Crunch this annoying Pikachu! Do that now!
Ash: I wouldn't recommend you doing that, Blue Head … Pikachu, use Thunderbolt – right at Sharpedo!
Ryoga: Sharpedo, use Agility and avoid this attack already, I believe in you – don't dare to disappoint me, Sharpedo!
Pikachu knew what to do so he just had stroked in direction where his opponent – Ryoga's Shiny Sharpedo – had directed to avoid being hit. Ash's fellow yellow electric mouse might've failed to finish his foe off, yet Thunderbolt could easily affect nearest area. Not a big area though, yet still enough to affect creatures near. So, in other words, one of those sparks from Pikachu's Thunderbolt had managed to do a bad thing against Ryoga's Shiny Sharpedo.
Ash: my bad, Blue Head, that you have caught a Water type exactly – and my ace Pokémon is the worst opponent for it!
Ryoga: damn you, Twerp, just don't tell me you have done anything to win instantly to avenge me for beating your butt in a duel!
Ash: well, Blue Head, I don't want to lose to you – so yes, consider that as me avenging against you beating me not while ago! Am I right, Pikachu?
Pikachu: Piii-ka!
Ryoga: you will pay for that! Sharpedo, are you able to continue? I need you for a bit more of time, you still have a chance!
Sharpedo nodded, feeling Ryoga caring about it more – seems like it had a Modest nature or something like that. Yet, it wanted to fight: maybe because it was it's the very first battle while being supported by a shark-specialized Trainer? Or maybe because that exact Shiny Sharpedo had been too young and unexperienced like Ryoga by himself? Though it got one problem – pretty significant damage from Ash Pikachu's Thunderbolt just right now.
In fact, its HP had been dropped by half – meaning one more attack like this one would finish it off, bringing Ryoga a defeat. The only way to make a defeat longer at least would be avoiding next attack like this one. Of course, it wasn't like in Pokémon core games for sure: none of Trainers could heal their Pokémons during the battle, unless they would use a healing move.
Ash: hey, Blue Head, you remember that you cannot use anything besides particular moves to heal your Pokémons, right?
Ryoga: If you think I am dumb enough to cheat, Twerp, you are very wrong and too stereotypic! Though I have never played Pokémon games before.
Ash: oh I see, just were afraid that … you would have some problems … Anyway, Pikachu – attack his Sharpedo with a Thunderbolt again!
Ryoga: Sharpedo, use Agility, try to avoid it or you are getting being done! Don't dare to lose to those 2!
Sharpedo did that again, trying to avoid Pikachu's attack – it had been afraid to get electrified again, it knew it would fail to continue once it gets hit. Anyway, in fact - Jane, a Giratina itself – had stopped caring about her typing weaknesses and had no problems with Fairy, Ice, Ghost and Dark types at the moment. In fact, Legendaries were way less vulnerable against type weaknesses, but Jane – as well as Diana the Dialga and Hikari the Palkia – had been a unique subject here. Jane is a Pokémon Trainer – which is almost impossible for a Pokémon, even for a Legendary one, as well as being a duelist. In fact, nobody could have caught her because she wasn't just a Pokémon, in fact she had been just a part Pokémon – including her both alter egos – Jane Girateroux and Galaxy-Eyes Acceleron Dragon. Not to mention her affiliation with Ash and Ryoga – who had been extra subjects to block even a Master Ball from catching her despite of its 100% catch rate. Jane aka Giratina aka Galaxy-Eyes Acceleron Dragon alongside with her "sisters" already had gone beyond this "line" …
Ryoga: you bastard, how did you dare to do that, Twerp?! I will avenge my Shiny Sharpedo next time! I swear!
Ash: as I said, I am not gonna look at your Sharpedo being a rookie, Blue Head. We are rivals, rivals don't draw back. Plus, it is my revenge against you beating me in duel before, so consider that as a payment.
Ryoga: 1:1, I guess? Fine, at least I was first one to win and you did just later, Twerp – so it does mean I won!
Ash: does not count, it is a draw and just it had happened that a thing you are better in happened before the thing I am better in.
Ryoga: don't give an excuse to yourself, Twerp, I won first! I won first, hahaha! Anyway – you are strong, Twerp! But I am not going to give my feelings to Jane-chan up!
Ash: don't dare to cross the line, Blue Head, I won't allow you anyway – Jane-chan shall chose me!
Jane had appeared behind, hitting both of her boyfriends with her fists and watching at them with annoyed look. With a smirking, covered by hairs in form of Giratina's low jaw – a Pokémon in disguise had decided to make them both follow forward.
Jane: well guys, I have decided to go to eat with you, I have a good idea you would like … but I am gonna leave you for today if you dare to continue your quarrel.
Jane took their hands, smiling at their hands, making them follow in the direction of the nearest local café.
