-[ Recap ]-
``Since we're going to the Halloween Festival and possibly most of the people there will be in costumes!``
``I guess...`` I muttered.
``I didn't really mention it being a choice.`` He said.
``You never make things a choice.`` I grunted. I heard him chuckled. I soon smiled before closing my eyes. Well, I need Mabel's help on this since I didn't plan for this at all. I'm so happy this turn out well without the "playfulness" that this person has. But... I hope that
You're happy too, Kahlil.
- Dipper's POV -
I slowly opened my eyes blinking a bit before sitting up. I rubbed my head before looking over to an excited sister. She was sitting patiently with her hands in her lap. Right. I told her I will tell her how it went last night. I... I don't think I don't want to. I'm feeling all of this regret and everything about it. I shook my head and let out a sigh. It's just the negative thoughts coming back, trying to weigh me down. I should learn how to push them back, but... I don't know how. I turned to the side of my bed, letting out a yawn. ``I'll tell you once I take my meds.`` I grunted.
``Alright! I'll be in here, waiting!`` She chirped. I looked at her with my tired eyes before getting up. I walked over to the dresser, grabbing some fresh clothes, and heading out the door. I walked down the stairs and into the bathroom. I shut the door and changed. I turned over to the medicine cabinet. I shrugged slightly, opening it and grabbing the medication. I smiled a bit before heading out of the bathroom. I walked over to the kitchen and grabbed a glass before filling it with water next. I then took my medicine, cringing a bit before pushing back the urge to gag. I put the water jug back into the fridge before emptying out the glass of water into the sink. I cleaned it, dried it off, and place it back into the cabinets.
I turned and made my way over to the staircase. I climbed up them, walked to my room, and entered. I walked over to my bed and sat on it before letting out a sigh. Don't think or say anything negative about it. It was your special chance. I turned to my sister who was waiting for my report. ``I... I did ask him-``
``And?`` She interrupted me. I glared at her before easing my stare. ``And he said yes in his own playful manner.``
``YES! AHHH I AM SO PROUD OF YOU DIPPER!`` I flinched from her screams. I wonder if our grunkles think about "What is happening up there?" She then jumped off of her bed and rushed to me, hugging me ever so tightly. I smiled before hugging her back. We both let go as she chuckled.
``So do we need a costume for you?`` She said, making the face of "Okay, what will you wear for this day?"
``Apparently.`` I muttered.
``Alright! You have to look handsome and cute in it.`` She said, walking over to the closet.
``... Yeah...`` I squealed, getting all red.
``Hmmm... I can go with you're suggestion of picking out a costume for yourself.`` She said.
``Yeah, that seems much better!`` I quickly said.
``Alright, we'll go out to the mall on Saturday. Seems like a deal?`` She said, turning towards me. I grunted and nodded. ``Deal.``
And that's what happened on October 27th. Gosh, I wish I declined it, but I need a costume for Halloween and I don't know what to wear. That's why Mabel brought her friends to help. She even invited Lee so that I won't be the only boy in this group. I don't know why that matters. Lee was eager to help me pick out a costume as the other girls were too. Well, I'll be embarrassed for the rest of my life. At least the voices don't have to voice their opinions anymore. We entered the mall and walked over to the large clothing center. ``Do you have any ideas on what you want to dress up as?`` Pacifica asked me. I looked away awkwardly and shrugged.
``I don't have any clues yet. Instead, I want to see what they have in the store.`` I said.
``Sounds like a plan.`` She answered.
``Or, I could create one for you.`` Mabel said.
``Oooo I'd love to join in the mess!`` I heard Candy say. Err, there's goes the embarrassment, help me, dear God.
``Same here!`` I heard Lee say.
``Only if the options at the store don't fit your liking, Dipper.`` My sister said. I nodded as we headed over to the costumes section.
``While we're here, I guess the ones that don't have costumes can pick there's out.`` Pacifica announced. ``I picked one out already.``
``Yeah, I forgot about that! I don't know what I want to go with.`` Candy said.
``Do you like princesses?`` Mabel asked.
``No. I don't like dressing up as a princess. You know what, I rather dress up as a witch! I love their fashion designs and everything!`` Candy chirped.
``Yeah! I'd love that idea! Let's see if they have a witch costume.`` Mabel said, looking around at the clothes. I looked at them too, eyeing each silly costume there was. I watched Lee rush over to the wizard costume. ``How much does this cost?``
``You want to be a wizard, Lee?`` Candy asked.
``Yes! Although, if we can buy it, I might remove the white beard.`` Lee said. I smiled, watching this conversation unfold. Although I should think about what I want to be.
``I mean, most wizards are known to be older and in their 60s.`` Mabel said.
``Well, I'll be the first to be the young wizard, even though I heard there were younger wizards than me. I'll just put some makeup here and there and I'll be good in it.`` Lee said. Oh wow.
``You wear makeup?`` Pacifica asked.
``Yes... is that a bad thing?`` Lee said, frowning. It's not, it shouldn't be.
``No, it's not! I think that's impressive. I could show you a few tips that I learned from Mabel.`` Pacifica said. Is my sister giving out classes? I turned to stare at her as she smiles at me.
``That'll be delightful!`` Lee chirped.
``Does that means you're...`` I heard Candy trail off as me and my sister turned to look at her.
``I don't think that automatically makes someone gay.`` I said.
``I agree with my brother.`` Mabel said.
``Well, in this case, I am.`` Lee said. ``And I don't think it should matter in this case.``
``Yea, you do you. Love whoever you want.`` Pacifica said. Jeez, so much friendly acceptances lately.
``Thank you!`` Lee chirped, smiling so brightly as a sun. Let's hope I don't die from the sun rays over here.
``Hey...`` We all looked over to Mabel. ``I have an idea for you, Dipper.``
``Oh god. What is it?`` I said, preparing myself for her statement.
``Since you don't like sunshine, why not be a vampire?`` She suggested.
``No. I am not being a vampire for this Halloween.`` I hissed.
``But you should! You hate sunlight for some odd reason.`` She said.
``No. This is final.`` I grunted. I don't see myself becoming one anyway.
``What about being a werewolf?`` Lee suggested.
``... I don't know.`` I muttered, looking over at him.
``Hmmm...`` I turned my head over to Pacifica who had a thinking face on. ``Maybe minus the werewolf mask, which will, yes, remove the idea of being a werewolf. I was more going for a wolf costume, or... probably those who exist in fairy tales and such. Not animals who stand on two legs but humanoid-like appearances with the wolf ears and tail. How does that sound?`` That actually doesn't sound that bad.
``I think I can agree to that.`` I nodded.
``And to add it all up, I have seen wolf makeup facial features on some website, I forgot what it was, but we could apply it to the costume if you want, Dipper.`` She said.
``Yeah... I think Pacifica's idea is better than mines.`` Mabel said.
``I agree!`` Candy said, nodding away.
``So, what do you say, Dipper?`` Lee asked.
``Okay! Everyone wearing their costumes?`` I heard Mabel say. I looked into the living room, being as shy as I'll ever be. It was about 6:30, where the sun was setting. It was the day and I'm extremely nervous about this all. I don't know if I can do it. I looked over at my sister who had her fairy costume on with her... "love wand" she calls it. The color of the clothing was ranging from light purple to purple, hot pink, and a little light red in it. She had long white socks that stop right up to her knees. Her skirt was below her knees to cover them up. I shivered before eyeing her fake fairy wings for a minute. ``Dipper!`` I quickly hid behind the wall once I heard one of her friends call my name. Nickname... sometimes I forget Mason is my real name.
``Aww... don't hide, we want to see how you look.`` I heard Pacifica say. I'm not hiding... I'm just nervous. I breathe in and out before walking from the wall and into the living room.
``You look so cute!`` I heard Wizard Lee say. Thanks, I'm too shy to smile at the moment. I stayed quiet, staring down at the ground. I ended up going with what Pacifica came up with. And... pretty much went with what my sister did with my fashion taste. I'm not quite sure if I like it. I was wearing a deep ocean blue jacket with a galaxy t-shirt. The jacket itself was warm and comfortable so, I was happy with that. It also had stars around the shoulder area. I was wearing deep blue pants with white swirls on the sides. I don't know about that style itself, but my sister surely liked it. For the wolf ears and tail, they were both deep grey-blue colors as they had stars painted on them. This also goes the same with the wolf makeup on my face, that... I'm embarrassed to show. It was grey-blue coloring, but it only shows between my eyes, my forehead, and my chin. My cheeks were white with tiny black spots on them. I did have the muzzle image on whatever wolf they were basing this off. And of course, eyeliner was put on the corner of my eyes to make me look more of a wolf. I feel so embarrassed to look like this. But what's more frustrating is that I couldn't wear my eye patch. My sister says I would look weird with it on. Excuse me, but I still want to wear it, regardless of what you say, Mabel.
``See? That wasn't bad.`` I heard my sister say.
``I still want to wear the eye patch.`` I muttered.
``... Aww... Why do you want to? I know you wear it every day when we are going out.`` She asked.
``Can I just wear it? You didn't say anything in the other days!`` I said, avoiding answering the question.
``I don't because those days aren't special. This is your special day and I think you should leave it off for once.`` She said.
``Are you afraid that people may ask about your eye?`` Pacifica asked.
``Yes. I don't want to look like some weird person and... if I don't have it on, I'm going to lose it.`` I said as a wave of panic rose within me. Mabel stared at me with an annoyed look before letting out a sigh. ``Fine, go put it on.`` She grumbled. I smiled, exiting the living room and up the staircase. I walked over to the room and over to the end table. I grabbed it and placed it on my left eye. The only reason for this... is that it brings up bad memories and I don't want to remember them at all. I turned, walked out of the room, and downstairs again. I saw my sister in the hallway, telling everyone to get prepared. I caught up with them as we made our way out of the gift shop area and outside the shack. ``Have a nice night, kids!`` I heard one of our grunkles say.
``We will!`` Mabel chirped before leading the group. I stared down at the ground, feeling a rush of nervousness within me. I don't know how this gonna play out. I looked up to the others, walking in silence until Lee decided to walk with me. ``I didn't realize you were going out with someone tonight.`` Lee began. ``That isn't something you would go out for.``
``Yeah, it wouldn't. But here I am, dressed up as embarrassing as I can be.`` I muttered.
``I don't know why would you be embarrassed. You went with Pacifica's idea.`` He said.
``I know... I'm just... afraid of what people would think.`` I muttered.
``No one will judge you, everyone gonna be in costumes anyways! So what is there to judge? Some cute boy who dresses up with makeup on?`` He said. ``I'm sure the others will be the same, so don't worry.``
``... Yeah... I shouldn't worry too much.`` I said, shaking off the worry. ``But I can't shake off the nervousness.``
``Well, I'm sure it'll go away once it begins.`` Lee said, smiling.
``I hope...`` I muttered. I soon joined with the rest of the group, trying to jump in if I can. Fortunately, Lee helped with that since he knew I wanted to join in the girls' conversation. As we walked, we saw other people across the streets with their costumes on, even the little kids who ran past us. With a bucket in hand and laughter that shared with the other kids. It seems this holiday is more fun than Summerween, at least people aren't reporting a tall candy man that appears to take little kids away. I let out an annoyed sigh. That is the difference between the two, also most people don't really celebrate it, just the kids. Since they'll be having more candy on two spooky holidays than just one, however, I'm curious. How did Halloween of Oct 31st, become a place where couples and newly ones go to be? It's more spooks than just romance. I shook my head, not getting the puzzle. I can probably ask someone for the answer since I'm lost at words here. I let out another sigh before looking up to the huge neon letters that spelled out "HALLOWEEN FESTIVAL." We arrived at the place where a lot of people appeared. Some were showing off, scaring their friends, and standing about. ``They really decorated this Halloween up beautifully.`` I heard Lee say.
``Why can't my home town do this?`` Mabel asked. ``I always dress up every Halloween and some people have the audacity to insult me.``
``Probably Jungle Fall's folks are happy with the American Holidays and are more open about it instead of other states.`` Pacifica said. ``My parents say it's a dumb holiday, although they still dress up just to attract more rich and famous people. I'm glad, I'm out of that house.``
``Yeah, and with this holiday being oddly romantic, everyone is bringing their lover to enjoy the fest for once.`` Candy said, which spooked us all.
``Hey! You look fabulous in that witch costume!`` Mabel said.
``I do? I thought I looked a bit ridiculous. Thank you for the compliment, I appreciate it.`` The witch chirped. As per usual, she was wearing a dark green witch hat with a long dress that seems to be a cloak every time I look at it. It was themed green and black. And of course, she had her broom in her hand, along with a book in the other. I assume it's a spellbook.
``Don't be! My costume may be silly but I'm not ashamed of it one bit. And you shouldn't be either.`` Lee said.
``You're a wizard, right?`` Candy asked.
``Yep! A young wizard.`` He chirped.
``And... Pacifica... a red riding hood costume?`` Candy said, looking at the blonde.
``Why not? I wanted to see what it feels like to be her.`` Pacifica said.
``... And what are you supposed to be, Mabel?`` Candy asked.
``Love Fairy.`` Mabel smiled. ``I have my lucky love wand just in case anyone needs help with romance.``
``I should have guessed that...`` Candy muttered.
``Since she seems to crown herself the Master of Romance.`` Pacifica snickered.
``Hey, I did my job respectfully.`` Mabel said, huffing at her friend.
``You did your job? I thought it was just a metaphor statement.`` Lee said.
``My advice is not fake, my job isn't either. Although, some people do not consider it as a job... wish they would just get it straight into their skull. Anyway, yes I did. That's why you see my brother so frightened and nervous.`` She said.
``Don't drag me into this!`` I said, jerking over to me being mentioned.
``Oh. I thought he did-... You asked her for help?`` Lee asked me, shocked.
``Yes... I gave up basically.`` I said, looking nervous still.
``Wish Kahlil done the same.`` Mabel grumbled. ``He keeps denying it as you do.``
I chuckled, shaking my head. ``Once like I did.`` I corrected her.
``Whatever.`` She grumbled, annoyed all of a sudden. But soon it vanished. She returned to being her happy self.
``Should we enter now?`` Candy asked.
``You guys can go, I'm going to wait here for my boyfriend.`` Mabel said. ``Or I could chill here with you guys.``
``We could walk around and look for him.`` Lee said.
``Nah, it's fine! Really, I'm sure he can find me in these small crowds.`` Mabel said, looking nervous.
``Are you okay?`` I asked her.
``I'm fine! I'm fine...`` She said, trailing off. ``He can be bothersome... but it's all good.``
``Tell us if he's going past your boundaries.`` Pacifica said. ``We'll help and support you no matter what.`` I nodded, in agreement as well as the rest did.
``Thanks, guys...`` Mabel smiled. ``You're the best.``
``Aww... that's a lot coming from you.`` Candy said, already to be seen embarrassed with her red cheeks. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way.
``Oi, have I arrived with the crew?`` We all turned over to the voice, noticing the person who was dressed up as a pirate and putting on a terrible British accent.
``What crew? Just because you dress up as a pirate, doesn't mean you can say this to us.`` Pacifica said, looking to be irritated. I stared at the person, soon realization came into play. I facepalmed myself before turning away in embarrassment. Is this what I have to go out with? ``You sound stupid with that British accent, Kahlil.`` I said out loud.
``Aww... you didn't need to say that to your date.`` I heard him say, slowly turning towards the stupid pirate.
``And you didn't need to talk in that accent. Don't do that ever again!`` I shouted.
``Alright, I won't.`` Kahlil said, giving up. He seems to look fancy in this costume that he picked out. With a coat that looks to be soft whenever someone touches it, and to top it all off, it ended at his knees, so this was a long coat. He wore a maroon shirt that seems to have golden details on it. Along with some black pants that dived straight into his maroon-black boots. He wore a belt that seems to hold his fake sword in place. Lastly, he was wearing this maroon pirate hat that had gold coloring details on it. Along with his earrings, he brought himself. ``You done looking?``
I turned red in an instant before looking away quickly. Sh-t, I didn't realize he was watching me. Great, he's gonna be eyeing me this entire time. ``Hmm... I almost didn't recognize you with all the makeup on your face.``
``Whoops.`` I heard Mabel say. ``My fault!``
``It's fine. I think he looks cute in it.`` Kahlil said, making my cheeks grow redder, although I'm not quite sure anyone can see it through this makeup.
``I'm glad you agreed, it is our best works of it.`` Pacifica said.
``Definitely.`` Lee chirped.
I looked over at the three artists, grunting in annoyance.
``Well, I think it's time for you to go, Dipper.`` Mabel said.
``Yeah...`` I trailed off, trying to shake off the blush.
``Do hope you sound good.`` I heard Kahlil say. I nodded before turning towards the entrance.
``Good luck, Dipper!`` I blushed at one of my friends' comments. I hate this, I hate this. I noticed that Kahlil was leading me out of the group. I shrink and stared down at the ground, entering into the festival we go.
We halted in the center of the event, watching every being chat and walk by, even going to one of the games here. Right... this is a festival with a lot of activities. I forgot. Why did I forget? I'm so nervous right now, I don't know what to think about, I think that's why I forgot. And lucky me, I didn't check the activity list. I let out an annoyed sigh and turned to Kahlil who was waiting in silence for my attention. I shrink back again and looked away, blushing. ``So... what is first on our list?`` He asked. ``Since you can't talk.``
``I'm sorry if I can't. This is my first time going out on a date with somebody.`` I said.
``Oh... I didn't realize, my apologies.`` He said, looking slightly guilty.
``You didn't need to apologize.`` I said, looking back at him.
``I feel like I need to.`` He muttered. ``So. What do we do first?``
``... I don't know. There are many games here and I don't know which to pick.`` I said.
``We could go to the Haunted Garden.`` He suggests, snickering afterward. I slowly turned to him in shock.
``Of course, I forgot. Every Halloween they need a Haunted Place or something!`` I grunted in annoyance.
``So you agree?`` He said. I stood in silence, staring down at the ground. I breathe in and out, looking back up at him. ``Alright, this won't scare me.``
``Take back those words, your gonna be scared in the future.`` He said as we begin to walk towards the direction.
``I am not. There is no way this "Haunted Garden" will scare me.`` I said, acting all tough.
``Well, don't blame me or try to hide behind me if you get scared.`` He said. I smiled before looking ahead. Promise me, I won't. We were lucky to be there second to first since some people are slowly making their way over here. This place seems to isolate itself from the rest of the games. At least it lived up to its purpose of being "haunted." I know it's not haunted, but you get the point. After a while of the first person entering in, we were allowed to go in, hoping they were in the middle of the place. You know, this doesn't seem like your typical garden. It had high grass walls for its entrance and exit route. I let out a sigh before the darkness consumes us.
We soon arrived at the first section of the scare. I scanned around the place, keeping an eye out. ``The more you look around, the easier it gets to scare you.`` I heard Kahlil whisper. I know that... I'd like to know what I have entered. The environment was small but wide enough for us to pass. There was this little man-made pond in the center while the sidewalk circle it with benches built on it. Then there go the bushes that make me worry the most. The tall grass walls were behind them. I looked forward and there was our next hallway for the next section.
I noticed Kahlil begin to move forward without a care in the world. I narrowed my eyes before following him. He may not be paranoid, but I am and I hate it. I crept forward, soon my pace slowed. I eyed every surrounding, scanning for any movements. I jerked my head over to the bubble of the pond, knowing the ripple in the water. I'm sure there's fish in it. I leaned my head back before turning forward. I continued the walk before I flinched at the sudden roaring of a creature, it was faint but it sure freaked me out. Why did I say "this won't scare me"? I'm going to make fun of all of this after!
I soon caught up with Kahlil who was narrowing his eyes at me with suspicion. I shrugged it off and decided to take the first step with him following behind. We followed the pathway, leading to this long pathway. I guess they need to take some time- I screamed once a creature tried to reach and grabbed me. I manage to jump back, before realizing it was fake. I heard laughter before turning my head over to Kahlil who was having the time of his life. I glared at him before turning back to the creature, who appeared to be a zombie. ``Aww, we'll be out in a minute, scary wolf.`` I heard him whisper.
``Don't you mean, scary cat?`` I whispered back.
``You're a wolf, it wouldn't make sense to call you a scary cat if you weren't one.`` He said.
``You can still call me one regardless of what I am.`` I whispered before turning in the right direction.
``Alright, scary cat.`` He snickered. I grunted in annoyance before taking the lead once more. I did get spooked but then I only flinched from the incoming jumpscares of the walls. I did expect it, but I didn't want to assume the worse and make myself more paranoid than I am right now. We ended up arriving at the next section, but this seems to be larger, much larger than the last one. And only this time around, it seemed to be ruined. Not that kind of ruined like someone trashed in here, decorated ruins. The fountain was broken as the water seem to never stop spilling out of it, the benches were cut in half and the sidewalk was blocked by some rumbles. Seems like we have to follow what they want us to follow instead of cheating.
We begin to walk on the path, watching the dark and silence environment venturing into our sights. I shivered, getting creeped out. When we were walking by some rumbles, someone jumped out and I happened to jump away from it, almost bumping into Kahlil in the process. I glared at him with his cheeky smirk. Looks like he's enjoying this. I wish this place can spook him too. We manage to pass that part and into another hallway, only this time it is wider.
I halted when I heard some grunting sounds behind us. ``That's our cue to run.`` I heard Kahlil whisper. ``Wait. They-`` I jumped forward before turning towards a fake zombie who was reaching out to me. I turned over to where Kahlil, but he was already ahead of me. Really? I pick up my pace and rushed over, eyeing down the zombies from behind me. I looked forward, as I was catching up to the one who left me behind. But what I witnessed was hilarious. A random zombie up head decided to break through the grass wall and scare the living hell out of him. Now, who's the scary cat? I snickered before catching up with him. ``How was it?``
``Shut up.`` He hissed.
I laughed at his reaction, soon the wave of zombies behind us slowed down and soon they weren't following us. I believe we are at the ending of this place. I noticed the lights of the festivals again as we made it out alive, the announcer said. I guess... I grunted before turning over to Kahlil who was mad that he got scared. I smiled before walking beside him. I noticed the long line while we were exiting the Haunted Garden. ``More like Zombie Garden.`` I muttered.
``Yeah...`` I heard him say.
``It's not like it's the first time you got scared.`` I said. ``It's no big deal.``
``Yeah... I know.`` He grumbled.
``...Well, since we escaped, what's next?`` I asked.
``Shouldn't I be asking you that?`` Kahlil said, staring at me with a firm look.
``...`` I stared at him in silence before easing my playfulness. ``Something wrong?`` I asked, getting all serious. He noticed the sudden change in my behavior before shaking off his current mood. ``Everything's fine... it's just that the stupid zombie touched me.``
``Well, that's what they do.`` I said. ``They want your brains.``
``... Yeah...`` He muttered.
``I'm not helping am I?`` I asked, looking worried.
``... So, where would you like to do next?`` He asked, changing the topic and ignoring my last question. I blinked at him, shaking my head. It seemed to be uncomfortable with the whole "touching" thing, I'll not push it further. I turned away and looked around, staring at the shooting range where you shoot ghosts, pumpkin tag, and some karaoke, it only sounds like your singing spooky songs or songs that relate to the whole "Halloween" theme. I stared at the sitting range, wanting to go there. I don't feel right after what just happened. Maybe... we can relax with some snacks? I looked back to him as he narrowed his eyes.
``... We could try what they have done to the food.`` I answered.
`` "What they have done to the food." You make it sound like they poisoned the food.`` He said, letting out a snicker.
``Hey, I'm no expert on the theme, but they may have done so.`` I said, shrugging.
``They won't poison us. They can't, they'll be reported and sued, and all of that stuff.`` He said, walking forward.
``Well, I just want to see what type of food they have created this time around.`` I said, following him. We entered the area, seeing some folks have made this their place already, but they weren't messy about it. More so respectful. The kids on the other hand... not so much. We went over to the large stand where most of the folks were getting their food. Fried Spiders? Oh god, it's creepy here now. We ordered and we were received them in the next minute. Then we headed over to an empty table that was far away from people. I placed the plate down before watching Kahlil setting down the drinks. I stared at the red drink, already cringing. I sat down in the chair and moved it forward a bit. I was handed my red drink as I stared at the red apples.
``I wonder why you ordered the Eyeball Pops.`` He said.
``I wanted to know what they were made out of.`` I said, turning towards the mentioned pops, grabbing the handle to look at the eyeball that was staring directly at me. ``Too big to be a candy pop.``
``Maybe an apple type like mines.`` Kahlil said, grabbing his Candy Apple. He then compared the sizes as I nodded slowly.
``You may be right, the only way to know is to taste it.`` I said. I took a bite of the eyeball pop, staring at it for a second before swallowing it in the next. ``... Frosting... doesn't really go well with sweet and juices... It is an apple by the way.`` I announced, taking aback from the taste. It's... okay, just... not okay.
``Frosting on an apple? It should have been.`` He said.
``... You have a weird taste.`` I said, staring at him, watching him eat his candy apple.
``You now noticed.`` He said, letting out a chuckle. I grunted before turning back over to the drinks. I decided to finish the monstrous before taking a sip of the red drink.
``Oh, you finally drinking the blood cup. Nice... You know what, Mabel and her friends should have made you a vampire.`` He said. ``I think you'll look hot in it.``
I blushed, almost spitting out the drink. I placed the cup on the table. ``Number one, it does not taste like blood. It tastes like raspberry a bit... mixed with vanilla. And secondly, I... I don't know what to say to that. She mentioned it before, but I didn't want to go with it.`` I said quietly.
``Aww, you missed an opportunity.`` I heard him whine.
``And I'm glad I did.`` I said, not regretting it one bit.
End of Chapter 35
