"Hmm, thank you for the compliment I guess." Tohru
Everyone is resting after battling the subclasses, and Misono says.
"Well then this isn't how we planned things to go though we did manage to prevent loosing Greed, and his Eve. That part was a success, but Hugh is gone." Misono
Tohru points at Lawless, and says.
"Kuro." Tohru
"Yeah, I know that you're right. This is going to be troublesome though." Kuro
Kuro walks over to his brother, and says.
"Lawless. I uh I have to thank you k." Kuro
"What?" Lawless
"You were the only one who never forgave me. Who never forgot about what I'd done. Knowing that a part of me questioned if my actions were right, because of you I was finally able to face my regret. So anyway thank you for not forgiving me." Kuro
"What? You're talking crazy. You're supposed to thank people when they do forgive you idiot." Lawless
"Maybe." Kuro
"I was happy to see you in that form again. It had been awhile brother." Lawless
'Things feel different. I see it now there was meaning all along.' Hyde
"But nothing has changed. There's still a lot of stuff we have to work through. Every things not all hunky dory between us." Lawless
"Yeah, I know, but it's a new beginning." Kuro
Kuro turns away from Lawless who stands up, and does the same. Kuro walks away from Lawless, and Tohru says.
"Ok Lawless I'm super curious. What's your name? Come on it won't change for awhile right." Tohru
"Who's to say what the future holds for us? This dumb angel might end up pissing me off so bad I might have to murder him." Lawless
Tohru gets a dark and scary look on her face, and says.
"Don't even joke about that Lawless!" Tohru
Lawless flinches at how scary the saint is being, but says.
"So no just keep calling me Lawless, or whatever you were before ok." Lawless
"Oh come on brother. Don't be such a drag." Kuro
"Just tell us it'll be so much weirder if we find out what it is later. When you could've said something right now." Tohru
Licht is highly disturbed by the scary look on his girlfriend's face, but returns his attention to the ongoing conversation. Licht also makes a mental note to talk to Tohru about it later. After that Lawless says.
"You don't know that you stupid kid. Ok, don't laugh my name is Hyde." Lawless
Tohru laughs in her head dissipating her dark mood. The only visible sign of the change is the smile now present on her face which doesn't go unnoticed by Licht. Causing him to give her a slight smile in return. Kuro looks at what Lawless is holding, and says.
"Is that a hand engraved tag?" Kuro
"Don't you dare make fun of my name tag, because you were given some dumb random cat bell." Hyde
"Hey that bell is really nice." Tohru
"Stupid hedgehog. Do you have a problem with the gift I gave you?" Licht
Licht kicks him in the back, and Hyde says.
"That hurt. Why are you always so violent towards me huh?" Hyde
Tsubaki arrives at the hotel while they are all laughing about the conversation. Everybody is immediately on alert when he arrives.
Tsubaki looks around the room, and says.
"Wow! You even defeated Higan. It looks like Greed and his Eve really went on a rampage in here. What a mess. Oh, hey big brother Sloth. I finally found it teacher." Tsubaki
Tsubaki starts walking toward them menacingly, and is looking directly at Licht and Hyde. Licht tries to move to intercept Tsubaki, but Hyde says.
"No Licht stay back. You can't take this guy on he's to powerful. Brother?" Hyde
"I'll take care of it." Kuro
Tohru moves to stand next to Licht in a defensive manner. Licht looks at Tohru, and notices that she has her sleeve rolled up. Envy glares at Tsubaki, and says.
"He must know where my brother is. Where is he?" JeJe
"Ah, the one who fell for Belkia's special move. Anyone who gets trapped in his magic box is teleported into an identical one I carry with me. Don't you think the Servamp of Pride made a wonderful assistant to my magician. However thanks to Tohru's kind heart you have nothing to worry about." Tsubaki
"What do you mean by that?" JeJe
"Tohru went out of her way to save my subclass out of the kindness of her heart. So I returned Old Child to his Eve." Tsubaki
Everybody breaths a sigh of relief at the fact that Hugh is alright, and waiting for them back at the Inn.
Tohru looks a Tsubaki with a kind yet firm look on her face, and says.
"Tsubaki; Tell us what are you trying to do here?" Tohru
Tsubaki giggles, and says.
"Just what I was put on earth to do. You see my late teacher wants me to clean up after him. This is one messy world he left behind." Tohru
Tohru sees flowers falling from his sleeve, and notices that they are camellia flowers. The same flowers that make up the sword Tsubaki gave to her. Tsubaki goes on to say.
"I'm an instrument. I'm a cleansing rain, and as fate would have it I'm the only person who can destroy a Servamp. I am melancholy I'm here to break you. Your contracts, your worthless bonds with each other mean nothing to me." Tsubaki
Tsubaki is going to attack when Tohru knocks the second sword he made during his speech out of his hand. Kuro catches the sword, and begins to fight Tsubaki. As they fight Tsubaki says.
"Get out of my way Sleepy Ash. It's time for me to kill our brother. To do that I have to cut off his head. It has to drop like a fading camellia flower." Tsubaki
"Uh, you sure are troublesome for being the baby of the group." Kuro
"You mean you accept it. You admit that I'm your little brother part of the family." Tsubaki
"I don't think I have much of a choice. My creator is the only one who could have made someone as monstrous as you." Kuro
"That's right he was a genius. I've been searching for you for a long time. Ever since you murdered my teacher. You are the black lion who murdered that man in cold blood aren't you? Who took the life of our creator. Our father wonderful There's something I've been dieing to ask you. Tell me Sloth you were the only one who could of heard my teachers last words. What did he say before you took his life away?" Tsubaki
"Didn't exactly stop to have a chat with him." Kuro
"Is that so? My teacher had not met with any of my siblings since I was born. You were the last one to see him; You the black lion. I can only imagine his surprise at seeing you Sleepy Ash, and he said nothing. Not a single word escaped from his lips, or is it just that you refused to listen? Well I guess it doesn't matter in the end. Wait of course that's right I was the only one he had plans for. The only one he gave a mission to." Tsubaki
"So what did he want you to do? Why did he create you the 8th true Vampire?" Kuro
"Oh, so now you want to talk is that it? You should have asked him yourself while you had the chance brother." Tsubaki
"I know I was wrong. I realize that now after running from my feelings for so long. That's why I'm not running away now, or stepping back I'm facing you head on. I'm going to settle this with you right now. We should be conversing with words not weapons." Kuro
Kuro grabs Tsubaki's sword, and says.
"Don't you think so?" Kuro
"That sounds nice sure, but I don't you and I are ever going to be able to agree on anything. Besides didn't you kill my teacher without ever trying to talk with him? So why should we have a family chat before you try to murder me huh?" Tsubaki
"Can't you see I regret what I did?" Kuro
"So weak! You don't act like you actually regret it. If you really did you'd find some way to repent for your sins." Tsubaki
Tsubaki attacks Kuro who says.
"Dammit there are still important things we need to talk about; Like what happened last night. I don't want to regret these things anymore." Kuro
"Tell me again. Did my teacher really not speak about me at all before you murdered him? Not a word? Why did he remain silent? Why did he keep me a secret? Why didn't he tell anyone even my own family about my existence?" Tsubaki
Meanwhile Tohru is trying to find her way to Kuro and Tsubaki when someone behind her says.
"Hey kid! Why didn't you run away when you had the chance? Sometimes it's hard to tell if you're brave or just stupid." Mikuni
"I couldn't go. I have to look out for Kuro." Tohru
"I don't think this situation calls for your help any longer. It's a family matter, and won't stop until one of them breaks." Mikuni
"You're wrong that is why I have to stay so I can do whatever I can to help heal all this pain in their hearts." Tohru
"You want to heal their hearts, and what makes you think that you can do that?" Mikuni
"Because my pain is similar enough to their pain that I understand what they are feeling, and sometimes all a person needs to recover from such a tragedy is an understanding ear." Tohru
If the situation wasn't so serious Tohru would have laughed at the stunned look on Mikuni's face. After Mikuni recovers he says.
"How did a kid become so insightful about the feelings of others?" Mikuni
"It's a talent I guess." Tohru
Tohru turns, and runs up the stairs toward Kuro a Tsubaki.
Meanwhile on the 44th floor Tsubaki is attacking Kuro who continues to try talking through their problems. Tsubaki swings again, and says.
"Ah, look at us brother these are the games we could've been playing all our lives." Tsubaki
Tohru blocks the swing with her spear, and says.
"Please don't attack him anymore?" Tohru
Tsubaki can hear her begging, and it makes him a little bit hesitant to continue attacking his brother. However his grief and pain will not allow him to bend to her plea, and he says.
"You're spoiling our family fun time." Tsubaki
"Tohru!" Kuro
Kuro transforms into the black lion knocking the roof off the hotel.
Back downstairs Licht and Lawless as well as Misono and Lilly are running to get out of the collapsing building, and Misono says.
"Hurry up you two this place is falling apart." Misono
As Licht and Lawless are running a part of the ceiling breaks off, and crashes on top of them. It would have crushed them if not for the mad dogs of C3. Tsuyuki walks forward, and says.
"Most potential problems are easily avoided if you're always prepared. I had the building evacuated. I had a feeling that having you all in one place would result in chaos." Tsuyuki
"You must be C3." Misono
They follow C3 out of the building Misono a little bit more hesitant than the others. Licht notices Misono's hesitance, and makes a mental note to ask him about it later.
Back at the fight Kuro deflects Tsubaki's attack who says.
"Is that the best you can do brother? I expected much more from you. That's enough; Now you're going to die by my hand." Tsubaki
An enraged Kuro slams a massive paw down on top of Tsubaki. When the dust clears Tsubaki says.
"Is this the same way you murdered my teacher?" Tsubaki
Tohru distracts Kuro saying.
"Kuro! You can't do this. Trust me Kuro..." Tohru
Tsubaki uses his power to lift his sword, and tries to attack Tohru who deflects the blow with her spear. This only serves to enrage Kuro even more, and he goes in for the kill before Tohru gets in the way. She spreads her arms, and says.
"Kuro don't do this! Kuro!" Tohru
Kuro settles down, and Tsubaki is thoroughly shocked by what is happening. A slot opens up in Tsubaki's chest, and Tohru's weapon reacts to this by turning into a key. Tohru looks at her weapon, and says.
"Huh a key?" Tohru
Tohru inserts the key in the keyhole, and turns it causing some kind of mechanism to unlock. Tohru finds herself inside Tsubaki's memories, and she not only watches the one that is causing him all of this pain. She also watches every memory he has of his father, and then she understands everything. At the end of her journey through his mind Tohru finds Tsubaki weeping in ruins of his former home, and says.
"This is the reason behind everything Tsubaki." Tohru
"The girl with the sad smile who gazes at me. Can you really see me?" Tsubaki
"Yes I can see you, and I understand your pain." Tohru
"How can you say that to me?" Tsubaki
"Because your pain is my pain." Tohru
"How are we the same you and I?" Tsubaki
"You have lost your only parent, and I have lost the only parent I have every known." Tohru
"I see, and how did you respond to your loss?" Tsubaki
"I forgave him for what he has done to me." Tohru
"How long ago did this happen?" Tsubaki
"My mother died 4½ months ago." Tohru
"I see, and it took that little amount of time for you to forget what happened..." Tsubaki
"I have absolutely not forgotten the horrendous thing that man has done to me. He robbed me of my mother; She was all the family I had in the world, and she is gone because of him. So no I have not forgotten. Forgiveness has nothing to do with forgetting. All forgiveness does is allow you to move on with your life even though the pain never goes away." Tohru
Tsubaki takes some time to seriously consider the words of this saint who has suffered what he has suffered. Tsubaki finally understands how she can be so full of joy despite such a tremendous loss. It is all because she forgave the one who was responsible for her pain. It makes him wonder if he forgave big brother Sloth would he be able to have what she has? What about his mission should he just leave it undone. He will ask her what he should do saying.
"What about my mission? Should I just leave the task my teacher gave me undone?" Tsubaki
Tohru thinks of everything she has seen about Tsubaki and Kuro's father, the information she learned from Lawless about the tragedy, and realizes that Tsubaki is entirely wrong about what he was supposed to do with his strength. She looks at him with a compassionate face, and says.
"I wanted to know more about the father of the Servamps so I went through all your memories of him on my way here. From that, and what I learned of this tragedy from Lawless I know that you are
