Back at the LaRusso's, Daniel and Amanda are tidying up in the kitchen including throwing out dirty take away containers that are filled with oil residue and leftover food. Although she is happy to be home, Sam is uncomfortable with how she is sitting, but doesn't want to move for fear of causing more pain. At the dining table, Anthony is playing on his PSP. Noticing this, Amanda decides to say something.
"Anthony, no games at the dinner table", says Amanda.
"Just five more minutes", says Anthony.
"Excuse me – I said no games at the table".
"Five more minutes!"
Sick of his son's attitude, Daniel slams a kitchen door shut. This makes everyone jump including Sam, so much that it makes her side hurt.
"Dammit, Anthony, do as your mother says!" yells Daniel.
Scared that his dad is serious, Anthony puts down the PSP.
"What the shit, Dad?" asks Anthony.
Livid that his son is cursing, Daniel confronts his second born by charging towards the table.
"Who do you think you're talking to?" asks Daniel.
"Can you guys just stop?" asks Sam.
Looking over, Daniel looks at Sam and sees that she is crying.
"I'm sorry, Sam", says Daniel, gently holding his daughter in his arms as if she were a baby again.
Seeing that his sister is in pain, Anthony goes over to his sister and puts his head gently on her temple. Anthony pulls away and goes to hug Daniel, who reciprocates.
"I'm sorry, Dad", says Anthony.
"I'm sorry too, pal", says Daniel.
"Okay, I got to get in on this, too", says Amanda.
Crouching down to their level, Amanda puts her arms around all of them.
"By the way, you're grounded, Anthony", says Daniel.
"Crap", says Anthony.
Back at the apartment block, Johnny drives into the parking space allocated and they exit, each carrying two large size pizzas and garlic bread.
"Man, I'm starving", says Johnny.
"Yeah, we are going to enjoy this", says Robby.
"Carmen!" yells a voice.
Hearing his girl's name being shouted, Johnny looks at Carmen's front door and sees a largely built man with long, thick hair and a goatee, bashing his fist harder and harder against the door. Not answering, the man hits the door harder.
"I know you're in there, Carmen, open the door!"
Thinking fast, Johnny gives Robby the garlic bread and keys.
"Robby, go inside", says Johnny.
"No way, we can take this guy together", says Robby.
"Go. Inside".
Not wanting to cause a scene, Robby listens to Johnny and goes inside. As Robby enters, Johnny slowly walks over to the man.
"Hey, man", says Johnny.
Hearing Johnny's voice, the man turns around to see Johnny, still wearing his suit.
"Who the hell are you?" he asks.
"I'm John, Carmen's my gir-my neighbour".
Not stupid or hard of hearing, the man notices Johnny's slip of the tongue.
"You got a thing for her, do you? Otherwise, a guy like you wouldn't give two shits about a woman like her".
"I care that a slimy, piss-ant like you is harassing my girl".
"Your girl? You had better leave, asshole, before I break you in half".
The man stalks slowly towards Johnny, but the former sensei stands tall.
Before Johnny can make a move against this man, a familiar voice identifies the hulking stranger.
"Nico", says Carmen, who is standing behind them with Rosa. Both Johnny and Nico turn around.
"Carmen", says Nico.
"I don't want any trouble, go back to Ecuador".
"Not until I see my son".
Hearing the word 'son' sends shivers down Johnny's spine: the former sensei is now face-to-face with the man that made Carmen, Miguel and Rosa escape from Ecuador.
"You go anywhere near that kid, and I'll kill you", says Johnny.
"Johnny, don't", pleads Carmen.
"Carmen, take your mom and go to my apartment, I don't want you seeing this".
"Johnny, I…"
"Now, Carmen!" As Johnny turns around, Nico puts him in a chokehold and squeezes his neck like a clamp.
"RUN!" Johnny barely makes the words out of his mouth, as Carmen and Rosa race for Johnny's front door.
Performing a routine manoeuvre, Johnny headbutts Nico from behind, breaking his nose, and snaps his right arm into a lock. Not wanting to hold it for long, Johnny breaks his arm. The crunch as Johnny breaks the forearm bone is loud and clear, but what follows is a lot worse: Nico is squirming on the ground, screaming and wailing in pain.
"You broke my arm!" exclaims Nico.
Ignoring his pleas for mercy, Johnny picks Nico up off the ground. Barely able to stand, Nico is holding his arm, as Johnny groin kicks him, jabs him in the throat and back fists him to the jaw.
Realising he needs to not fall back into old habits, Johnny stops and lunges towards Nico. Barely able to stay conscious, Nico is beginning to show tears of pain.
"Don't ever come around here again, or next time, no mercy", says Johnny.
Not answering, Nico just nods gently. Grunting softly, Johnny heads for his apartment and opens the door. Before he can enter, someone hits him with broomstick. Knocking him out. Everything goes black.
