Mike ran as fast as he could to the cabin hoping that no one had seen him take off into the woods. He reached the cabin and knocked on the door. " El, it's me!" He shouted just so El wouldn't be suspicious. " Mike? What is wrong?" She asked him as she opened the door.
"We have to leave." "What, why?" " Brenner's on to us." Mike explained to her. El's eyes grew wide as she heard the news. "Where are we going to go?" She asked. " I was thinking maybe you could hide out at Max's. I don't know."
Mike was starting to panic. She grabbed his hand and squeezed it reasurly. " It's okay. Let's go to Max's." He nodded. They started to leave the cabin when a knock resonated throughout the cabin. " I know you're in there Eleven. Open this door." Mike was the one who carefully went over to the door to open it.
As soon as the door opened, El used her powers to push back the group of people outside. She grabbed Mike's hand as they left the cabin. Right as they stepped out the door someone grabbed El's shoulder and pushed her back from Mike.
She screamed in fear and anger as she fell. Mike felt someone grab him before he could do anything and pushed him up against the wall causing him to have the wind knocked out of him. El got up from where she fell and used her powers to knock the person away from Mike.
She was about to run over to Mike when a high pitch sound rang out causing El to cover her ears. "El!" Mike yelled as he started to run over to her. Before he could even get close to her, he felt someone grab him and thrusted him against a wall again. Brenner stood before him, anger evident on his face. He curled his hand into a fist and hit Mike across the face.
" Don't ever come for Eleven again. Am I clear?" He growled out. Mike looked at Brenner and said, "No." Brenner raised his fist back and proceeded to punch Mike over and over again until Mike crumpled to the ground.
" Mike!" El yelled over the high pitch sound that still rang through her ears. Brenner grabbed her, fighting back . Everytime she did though the sound got louder until she passed out. Brenner practically dragged her to the car. Right before he got in the car the sound of police sirens rang out and two police cars were hurtling towards them.
He ushered everyone to get into their cars and drive off as he waited for the two police officers to arrive. The two police cars stopped in front of him as the two officers stepped out of the car.
"Can i help you officers?" He asked politely. " Yes you can. We got a report that you were out here trying to kidnap a couple kids." An officer in about his 20s explained. " Whoever would make an accusation like that." He asked. " Me." Max said as she exited one of the police cars. " And from what I can see you have one of the kids in your car."
The police man went over to Brenner and his car to arrest him as Max proceeded to open the back car door. " El." She said softly as she grabbed El's shoulder and shook it. " Max." She said googly. " Hey, you okay?" She asked. " Yeah, but Mike is hurt." El said as she got out of the car and rushed to where Mike was laying on the porch.
"Mike." El said softly as she shook his shoulder gently. " Uhh." He said slowly getting up from the floor. " Are you okay?" Max asked him. His face was bloody. " I will be." He told them. " Hey kids. I'll take you home." One of the officers yelled out. " Thanks." Max said as they all walked to the car.
