Hello again, it's finally here, the big fight between the Hero Killer and the young hero on the rise, Kazume. Which one will come out on top? Find out now in this lengthy chapter.
Chapter 34: The End of the Bloodhounds
It was morning and both Melissa and Kazume had a goodnight's sleep and had an amazing date last night. However, Kazume had to wake up to deal with business with his demons. First thing, he needed to clean up the mess the two had from their love making. He had to do laundry not only for himself but for his guest.
Kazume picked up his yukata and Melissa's kimono that was tossed to the floor. He looked at his room to see the mess spilled all over it.
'Damn, we really messed it up, huh?' thought Kazume, seeing the dried stain on top of his sheets as well as both her bra and his boxers.
Kazume picked up all the wrinkled and stained clothing, placing them in a laundry basket. The final thing he needed to clean was the bedsheet, but Melissa was still asleep, and also naked. She shifted a little and he tried to gently pull the sheets away.
He pulled back the sheet over her, however, he never knew that Melissa was already awake the moment he woke up outta bed to start laundry. She grabbed him and yanked him into her arms, kissing him full on the lips. Kazume pulled back after their passionate kiss.
"Good morning, sweetie. Didn't know that you were awake," he greeted.
"Oh please… a highly trained ninja like you didn't notice?" she teased.
"Hehe, I guess I easily fall for your tricks the same way I fall in love with you," he replied, leaning to peck on her lips, "So… wanna take a bath while I work on the laundry, sis?" he asked.
Melissa smiled, "It's no fun without you~" she teased.
"Maybe another time, but I gotta clean up as well as do some training," Kazume answered, as he put on his costume and equipped his blades before heading to the laundry room, which lucky for him was located next door.
After dumping his laundry to the washer, he went outside to do training in the woods inside campus grounds. Kazume closed his eyes, digging deep inside his mind.
'Yo, jackass, you there?' Kazume asked.
"Always have been, look at you, leavin' Lissa with a Guilt Baby,"
"Oh fuck off! I need your help with something."
"Wow, damn, seems like ya need me after all!"
"Yeah, I need help combining with your powers or something."
"Kazume, Kazume, Kazume… I'm not your power, I'm just an optimized you,"
"Well, if there's a way… some way… we can become one? If not, work something out to switch personalities without having you overwhelming me and go berserk?"
"Yeah, you just gotta accept me, I'm you, and I'm pissed at you, we aren't insane. You're just scared to acknowledge what you did."
"That's easier said than done, but like… how do I switch back to the normal me, without getting KO'ed?"
"I'll fade. Once we fuse, it's gonna be like… Piccolo and Nail. One of us fuses with the other and the fuser fades, simple and quick,"
"So for example, if I need to rescue or help someone, I'll be in control? And if I need to bust a big baddie or an army of them, you come in? Maybe something like that?"
"Yeah, yeah, whatever… like you were listenin' to me,"
"Alright, let's test it out by using my old self to leap across tree to tree, and once we, no I, reach the other side, I go back to my regular me again," Kazume then got into a racing stance, 'Accept myself, huh?'
Kazume dug deep, thinking about the old days, a young kid fighting for his cause. Remembering the brutal training he went through, getting sliced and bruised, constantly getting beaten to a pulp and being a disappointment. Then, he started to remember the targets both he and that bastard dismembered.
'NO! STOP! NO MORE!' Kazume freaked out, as he snapped out of it. He felt that he can't do it, refusing to accept himself for the wrongs he did. However, he didn't give up as he tried again, but this time, thinking about the good things he did… the other him I mean.
Kazume looked deep, thinking about the USJ, fighting and dismembering the villains that threatened to harm his classmates and his staff. He remembered the time he took two blades through his palms to save both Asui and Uraraka from getting killed before he lunged at Kurogiri and got teleported away.
But the best memory he witnessed… it was after saving Momo's life.
With the little adrenaline left in Kazume, he managed to stab each villain in a non-vital spot in the chest with different knives. Just three seconds after stabbing every single one of them, he licked the blood from his weapons and paralyzed all of them at once.
*BLLRGG* Kazume vomited once again, this time it was due to passing the limit of people he could paralyze with his quirk.
"Kazume, are you okay?" asked Momo, worried for Kazume's health when she saw the amount of blood he was losing.
"*Cough, cough* Of course, never felt better. The question is are you…" said Kazume, pausing as he realized he's starting to lose balance, "you O... K-" (From Chapter 14)
He remembered him taking back control from Pain to save her as well as Jiro and Kaminari. He can do this. He had done it before in the USJ, he can repeat that again.
Kazume dug deep, letting his inner Pain flow through his veins. He sprinted at a much faster speed than his normal self. He leaped off the ground, jumping from tree to tree, branch to branch. After forty five seconds, he finally reached the other side of the woods as he approached one of the walls of the UA campus. Kazume took a deep breath, taking back control to his normal self. He recapped in his mind the experience he just had, maneuvering much faster than before.
"I… I did it! I actually did it!" Kazume yelled with joy, "Now all that's left is sword combat, but I don't have a sparring partner nor do I have the time for that. I guess I'll have to wing it during my fight, as long as I can believe in myself and… well myself."
'Yeah, solid plan! I hope.'
Hosu City
It was around dusk with city lights lighting up. Stain stood somewhere on the rooftops looking down, scanning for a possible target. Or just the one he needed to kill. Of course in his split mind, he needed to kill his brother. Hindsight for the Akaguro brothers was a black hole. By that I mean his hindsight is literally zero.
A large purple gate appeared behind the Hero Killer, and what came out of that gate was no other than the two League of Villain members, Kurogiri and Shigaraki.
"So this is Hosu City, huh? You got yourself a pretty nice view up here. So what do you intend to do?" asked Shigaraki.
"I'm going to reset this shit society of heroes, and I'll keep on continuing my bloodshed until every faker is completely removed from this world!" replied Stain.
"That's quite a clever goal for you to chase," Kurogiri praised.
"Finally, a guy with some sense unlike that little fucking wacko," Stain snarled at Shigaraki.
"You just really hate my guts, do ya?" Shigaraki huffed.
"This society completely reeks of false heroes who don't know the true traits of a hero! Those fakes only do it for the money, fame, family tradition, or just for competition to be the best! They're nothing but pretenders… especially my failure of a brother. I'll deal with him and the rest of this fake society… MYSELF" Stain leaped off the tall apartment, chasing after a potential kill, leaving the two members by themselves.
"Wow! Big talk for such a guy with a massive ego! Thinking like he's a reaper that will murder every single hero? And for what exactly? Pathetic! What a joke!" Shigaraki hissed.
"But think about it. Every city that Stain had been present in the past had crime rates drop so massively. His message does get through to everyone, making heroes more conscientious about their tasks, or fear being hunted down by him," Kurogiri said, making Shigaraki start to scratch his chin out of frustration as he continued, "Either way, whenever he sets foot on a city, he provides change."
"OHHHH THAT'S SOOOOO FUCKING GREAT! COMMITING CRIMES OF MURDER TO HELP HEROES LOWER CRIME, BUT HE FAILED TO REALIZE ONE THING! CRIME KEEPS US IN BUSINESS! EVERYONE AND THEIR FUCKING GRANDMOTHER KNOWS THE NAMES OF THAT LITTLE SHIT AND HIS BROTHER! THE ONLY STAIN HE IS… IS A STAIN ON THE WORLD!" Shigaraki ranted furiously. He took a quick breath before continuing, "I've had it. We can't get along well, and he completely PISSES ME THE FUCK OFF! BRING OUT THE NOMUS!"
Kurogiri didn't hesitate as three nomus, a large one with no eyes, a skinny one with four eyes, and one with wings appeared out of the portal.
"Let this be a lesson to the Hero Killer, no… the entire world. DON'T EVER FUCK WITH THE LEAGUE OF VILLAINS! HOW DO YA LIKE THAT BIG BAD HERO KILLER?!" Shigaraki screamed his lungs out, his eyes wide and bugged out behind his hand, breathing harshly.
Izuku and Gran Torino sat close together as they rode a bullet train towards Shinjuku to assist in training the green cinnamon roll on how to handle villains. He looked down at his phone.
"You and your generation sure love to check on your phones all the time, isn't that right, young man?" asked Gran Torino.
"N-no, I was just… only checking on my friend," replied Midoriya.
"Your friend is a phone? I feel sorry for you, kid," said Torino.
"N-no! It's not… I'm just… worried about two of my friends…" answered Midoriya.
He continued to look at his phone, reading the texts sent to both Iida and Kazume. Starting with Iida's messages.
Izuku: Just about to pass by Hosu. Is Everything going alright with you, Iida? (read)
Izuku never got a reply at all from Iida. He then goes to check on Kazume's messages. He gulped, but steeled his nerves.
Izuku: Hey, I wanna make sure you're okay. I'm worried about you.
Kazume: … (currently typing)
Kazume: JUST STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM CRIME CITY AT ALL COSTS!
Izuku: What do you mean?
Izuku's recent message turned green, meaning that Kazume just blocked him and the message didn't go through. All of the sudden a huge muscular Nomu crashed through the side of the train.
"I want you to stay on the train, got it kid? I'll handle this!" Torino demanded.
Gran Torino jetted across the train and kicked the Nomu all the way into a random apartment.
"I want all passengers to stay calm and remain in your seats!" ordered the conductor.
However, Izuku disobeyed the moment the train was at a complete stop and ran off to go find Gran Torino. Before he was about to jump off the tracks, he saw a horrible sight.
Hosu City was starting to burn in flames, showing signs of destruction and chaos at the center of the city. It was probably due to a Nomu attack according to Izuku? Could there be more than one at play? Izuku then leapt off the track and towards the destruction, using his new move, Full Cowl, using 5% of One For All. He started to remember back at the station the conversation between Iida and Kazume.
"Iida wait up! If you need help, just… just uh… contact us!" Izuku spat.
"No need, I'll end it myself…" Kazume interrupted, walking past him and grabbing Iida's shoulder, "It's my fight, stay out of it," he warned.
"Your fight… is mine as well, Kazume. We're doing whatever it takes, for those we care about…" Iida stated.
.."You go on ahead, and stay safe out there," Kazume replied.
Iida passed through the ticket gate as he headed toward his train, arriving just in time before the doors started to close.
"That goes double to you, Izuku," Kazume snarled, "This is my fight and only mine…" Kazume then looked towards Uraraka, "If anything bad happens to me, please look after your precious Deku, alright? Just promise me that you'll do it. Now if you don't mind, I have a train to catch." (From Chapter 31)
'Kazume… Tenya… I have to help them! No matter what!' he thought.
Hosu was burning. People were panicking and screaming. Heroes were trying to maintain damage control by putting out the fires or holding back the Nomus while helping the citizens evacuate the city.
"These things are too strong, what the hell are these things anyways? Are they people or some kind of monsters?!" said a hero with horns on top of his forehead, the other heroes were helping the evacuation and damage control. Even Iida's mentor, Manual, was controlling the water from the hydrant to put out fires.
As the large Nomu with no eyes was about to attack the heroes, a quick *Xing* was heard from the alleyways. Kazume wall jumped from the alleyway at a rapid speed, drew out a katana and beheaded the Nomu in one quick slice. The head and the rest of the body feel to the ground.
Kazume was looking different. He looked extremely furious, ragged and drooling, red eyes pinpricks and bloodshot, loping around like a wounded animal. His back faced towards the heroes, who were in great fear of what they are witnessing.
"It's… it's him!" said one of the heroes.
"He returned after being missing for years?"
"What should we do? Do we try capturing him?"
"Are you nuts, he's the brother of the Hero Killer! He's not a guy that can be taken down so easily,"
Kazume ignored the chatter from the heroes, as he looked down at the head of the Nomu. He picked it up from the ground, and activated his Bear Claws. He used his claws to stab right at the brain of the Nomu, in order to get a good grip on it and completely remote it out of its head. He turned around towards the heroes, who are absolutely terrified of what he did next.
With a firm grip with the brain on his right hand thanks to the claws, he started to squeeze hard on the brain until…
*SPLAT* the brain split into smaller pieces after Kazume crushed it with the strength from Pain. He slowly marched towards the heroes who are completely frozen in fear. As he was just a couple feet away from one of the heroes, he took a quick breath, as he was about to speak.
"WHERE IS HE?!" asked Pain.
"W-w-where's who?" asked the hero.
"WHERE THE FUCK IS THE FUCKING HERO KILLER?!" Pain thundered, one glowing neon green katana leveled at the hero's neck in just milliseconds. The hero flinched hard. She was genuinely afraid of this kid. No matter what anyone said the older heroes always said…
Watch your back in Hosu. It's called Crime City for a reason, also Japan's Kowloon. It's a concrete hell. One second you'll be fighting villains and saving lives, the next bleeding out in a nondescript alleyway shoved into the depths.
Another hero was gawking at him, ready to fight. It was Manual, who was without his intern, Iida. Kazume's expression turned from rage to concern.
"Iida. Now."
"I'm looking for him too, he broke away when everything started going downhill,"
Kazume quickly summed up why Iida disappeared and there was only one answer to that… REVENGE.
Kazume leapt outta the scene and towards the alleyways, racing against time to save his friend from a great mistake.
Hosu was a monster that bred other monsters in it's concrete womb, churning and bubbling in the darkness. Two beasts were born… and one was coming home. Backstreets, alleys, nothing was a secret to Kazume as he ran through them, trying to smell burnt oranges or anything like that.
Scrambling and clawing over trash cans and wall jumping, wall running and slashing through other obstacles in his mad pursuit of a friend. Madness and overwhelming peace combined. Peace with what he had to do.
He was breathing hard, feeling alive in the familiar streets like returning to his mother after a long day. In a way… Hosu raised him with Stain. He could feel more and see more, his body already screaming for a rest.
Meanwhile, in a quiet alleyway…
While the city went complete haywire with the Nomus attacking, Stain was on the job to hunt down false heroes, and he was on the verge of adding another victim on his kill list. The hero that Stain pinned to the wall was Native. He was annoyed with Shigaraki's flashy tactics of causing mayhem with no actual purpose other than to lash out his rage against the world.
"Fucking dumbass making too much noise! I'll deal with that brat later, but now I have unfinished business here. I'll make this quick," Stain hissed.
"Mmmrrrgggghhh… You bastard… I'll kill you!"muffled Native.
"Not a good choice of words for a hero to say! I'll dispose of you like the trash you are!" Stain pulled out his katana, ready to behead his next kill…
Until he heard the sound of engines exhausting in the alleyway, he quickly countered the incoming hero and sliced off the helmet of what looks to be a younger Ingenium.
"What's a child doing in this part of the neighborhood?" Stain muttered to himself before warning Iida, "Get out of here, child! The adults here have some private business to attend and I don't like to be interrupted!"
"I finally found you, villain! You're going to pay for what you did to my brother! I am In-" Iida was cut off as a blade was pointed just an inch away from his nose.
"Your eyes are filled with rage and vengeance! I'll give you one final warning, child! Run back home to your mama or else you'll be the next one to die tonight!" Stain warned one last time.
"My brother… he cannot continue anymore… and now I'll be the one to get vengeance for him!" Iida growled.
"Your brother is weak, and so are you… I'll put you out of your misery…" Stain readied his blade, Iida the same with his engines. Iida charged right at him with his Recipro burst, but Stain was too quick as he dodged the attack, leaping over the class rep. Stain landed a kick on his right shoulder with his toe-spiked boots and pinned him down on the ground.
"Pathetic! At least your older brother had a much better fighting spirit than you! No wonder my piece of shit brother kicked your sorry ass!" Stain impaled through his left shoulder with his katana, drawing blood and immediately licking it to paralyze his prey.
Iida had no way out, unable to contact for help since he can't reach for his phone due to the paralysis from the Hero Killer's quirk. He was gonna die, but not before Stain tells him one last thing…
"You know what's funny? After that fight in the Sports Festival, Kazume was hesitant to finish you off. It was like he felt some sympathy for you, but after he offered you that mercy… the real him came out. You two are good friends right?" Stain asked, pinning him down with a foot below his neck.
"What does that… have to… do…"
"He was using you. He doesn't care about making friends! He completely fooled you and your entire class to help me gather intel on all of you… every single one of you," Stain grinned, "I had nothing to do with this! It was all his choice, thinking it was the best way to avoid being hunted down by me! But it turns out that with your intel, I was able to eliminate your brother. If you want to blame someone, blame HIM!"
"No… you're wrong… you forced him… like you force your ideals into the hearts of this society thinking you're right!"
"Did I? Tell me, did I force him to go into exile for three years? Did I force him to go to UA despite all his crimes he did with me way back? He chose his own route, his own life, and his own plan to avoid me by betraying all of you! Why don't you go and ask him yourself… In HELL?!"
*CLANK* Just inches away from beheading the class rep, Stain's katana collided with another katana with a neon green glow across the center of the blade.
"Speak of the devil and he shall appear… Well, I was just about to finish my job here, nice sword. I'll add it to my collection… ALONG WITH YOUR HEAD!" Stain pulled back his blade and prepared to slice Kazume's left shoulder, but he quickly countered as he pulled his other katana out to block it.
"You! Leave! Iida! ALONE!" screamed Kazume as he flourished with his green katana, putting Stain on the defense since both swung their blades at very fast speeds.
"This place feels a bit of deja vu, don'tcha think, Stain? The same place we're fighting in is the same place we went our separate ways! Now the opposites collide for one final battle!" Kazume exclaimed, remembering the past where he made his choice of his. Where he was saved by the Symbol of Peace himself. And lastly, where his life turned a complete 180…
"Let's go." He ordered. But I refused to follow him. I wasn't going to help a fucking murderer.
"No! I'm done working with you. I will never help you take another life ever again!" I revolted.
*SLLLLIIICCCEEEEEE
"AHHHHHHHHHH!" I screamed in pain as he sliced his katana right between my eyes, my nose, and my mouth. "WHAT THE FUCK BROTHER!"
"You're no longer my brother. Don't bother coming home." He replied in a deep growl before he left me to bleed out.
'So, this is it? This is how my life ends? This world is so cruel. These false heroes didn't bother saving my parents, so why would they bother saving me? Hell, who would bother saving a villain like me? I'm sorry mama and papa. I won't get to join you in heaven. I'm going somewhere much worse,' These were my final thoughts as I lay dying.
…Or so I thought.
"Fear not kid. Why? Because I AM H- HOLY SHIT WHAT HAPPENED HERE?!" Asked the number one hero All Might. (From Origin Chapter)
This was the exact place where he wanted to change…
To end his villainous ways.
To redeem himself and become a hero that people will be inspired by.
And tonight, he'll fight this monster in front of him as a true hero.
Kazume took a quick glance at Iida, seeing that he's unable to move his body, realizing that he's paralyzed. He not only has to hold his ground, but also protect Iida.
If it weren't for Iida getting involved, Kazume would've gone all out, using his environment as his strength, taking the fight up to higher ground, either clashing towards each other as they wall jump or fight on the rooftop where there is more room. However, Kazume thought of an idea.
Stain tried to sweep low to slice his brother's legs off but he backflipped towards a wall to dodge it. Kazume wall jumped away from Stain by using his feet only, trying to get some distance to use his throwing knives to keep him at bay, trying to get an opening to snatch Iida and run. The plan went into action as he threw his blades at his ex-brother, making him counter by deflecting them with his katana. Stain started to run after him, ready to slice him down the moment he started to pick up Iida.
'Foolish brother!' Stain smirked.
Kazume's plan was successful as he dropped his neon-green katana, ready to pick up Iida… however, he wasn't the only one that needed saving. Native was there as well.
Kazume couldn't just leave him there to die just to only save his friend. A true hero wouldn't leave innocent people to die. Remembering why he and Stain became villains… cause a certain small, white-haired hero refused to save the lives of his parents, trying to evacuate the other people.
Within half a second, Kazume had no other choice but to quickly drop Iida and continue to fight Stain for a while longer until he and Native are no longer paralyzed by Stain's Bloodcurdle. He blocked the oncoming attack from Stain as they got into a stalemate.
'If only help can arrive to get these two outta here,' thought Kazume.
This time, Kazume only has his old regular katana to fight his brother, unable to have time to pick up his other one. Both continue to clash their swords with each with all their strengths, using the environment around them like on top of garbage dumps, kicking trash cans, anything to throw them off guard or have the higher ground. So far neither one of them had the advantage. They continued to clash blades at rapid speeds, every swing calculated to hit at a certain body part. This fight was a matter of durability and stamina.
A green streak shot past Kazume, nailing Stain in the face was Izuku, knocking him down towards the ground.
"Iida, Kazume! Are you guys alright?!" asked Midoriya.
"I'm fan-FUCKING-tastic! Nothin' but gumdrops and puppies over here!" Kazume then snapped out of his Pain side, "I mean, yeah I'm alright, just take Iida and the other hostage outta here. I'll hold off Stain!"
"Okay! Come on, Iida… let's get you up…"
Kazume quickly stepped in front of Midoriya, deflecting the throwing knives heading towards them. Stain followed up as he lunged towards Kazume with a blade milliseconds later. The two bloodhounds clashed blades once again. Kazume gave it his all to buy more time for Midoriya to pick up the heroes in need of saving, until…
*SLLLIIICCCEEEE* Stain swung in an upward motion breaking through the blade of Kazume's katana and sliced Kazume's left eye off his face as it fell to the ground.
"AHHH MY EYE!" Kazume screamed in pain.
Moments later, Stain kicked him with his right leg, knocking his little brother to the ground. Stain licked the blood on his blade to paralyze Kazume, ready to end his life. He looked down at the dismembered left eye that was completely removed from Kazume's face and crushed it like a bug with his left boot.
Kazume laid there, spilling a small pool of blood as he looked back with his only remaining eye at Midoriya, who stood there frozen while holding Iida on his back.
"Why're you just standing there?! I TOLD YOU… He's… mine… Mine to end… So go! Get outta here! Be a hero and save Iida!" Kazume commanded.
"I'm… not… gonna…" he cried, his tears mixing with his own blood, trying to get up, struggling and snarling a little, like a wounded animal. Thinking of Melissa, thinking of his friends, knowing that even Pain wasn't enough to beat the storm that was Stain.
"I… can't… forgive…. I can't… give… give up!" Kazume hissed, "Stand up… come on, you've trained your whole life for this, you can't…"
Stain placed his foot below his neck to hold him still as he readied his katana. When he was just about to lower it...
"You traitorous little bastard! We could've been an unstoppable duo wiping out every single false hero in existence! Instead, you abandoned me, dishonored and betrayed the Akaguro family, and worse of all, play pretend on being a hero! I'm gonna make you die a horrible death and send your head back to UA!" Stain monologues, casting out his hatred towards his little brother for what he's done three years ago.
Midoriya crashed his fist right into his face. Stain was once again knocked back by the force from his Full Cowl, however, little does Midoriya know that there was a small little cut on his chest. Stain quickly licked the small dose of blood on his blade while feeling a little bit dizzy from the impact of the punch.
"You think I've forgotten about you, kid? I'm no fool to put my guard down. Although, I'll let you live for now. I believe you have the proper traits on becoming a true hero unlike my idiot brother and the false Ingenium," Stain commented.
Midoriya didn't know how to feel, seeing Kazume and Stain made all the connections and secrets make sense. He heard about the end of the Bloodhounds when he did some digging. All the connections made sense. All of it dawned on him.
Kazume wasn't like Stain. That's why he left, the scar on his face, the sheer refusal to talk about his past so freely. Everyone in Class 1-A knew that at best Kazume was a grump and at worst a completely insufferable jackass.
But his heart was in the right place, as misguided and arrogant as he was at times.
Stain once again went back to square one as he was ready to put an end to Kazume, but was interrupted once again, this time avoiding an exhaust of hot flames. Shoto Todoroki came to the rescue.
"Next time, put in like an SOS label on your location, otherwise I'd be too late. But then again, you wouldn't send out your location unless it's for an emergency right, Midoriya?" Shoto commented.
"R-right…" Midoriya remembered that he sent an urgent location to anyone nearby when he arrived to see Iida and an injured Native down.
"Don't get cut, Todoroki," Kazume groaned, still feeling pain in his left eye.
"I'll keep him busy from a distance," Todoroki replied, ready for any attacks from the Hero Killer.
Stain threw a couple of throwing knives towards Todoroki, but the half ice half fire quirk user countered with a small wall of ice blocking the projectiles. Stain then quickly leaped over the wall, ready to make a slice on his left arm, however Todoroki remembered the same move from Kazume back in the Sports Festival.
Todoroki set up a wall of ice to defend his team from the knives coming their way. Kazume saw an opening and jumped off Shoji to the ice wall.
"Kazume, what are you doing? I thought we agreed it's suicide to go after Todoroki!" exclaimed Asui.
"Not when there's an opening," replied Kazume.
.
Todoroki was ready to follow up with Denki's attack and freeze the rest of the competition away. He had a pole from Momo, and just when he was about to strike.
"Todoroki watch out!" she snapped.
Kazume used the ice wall to dive towards him, his katana clashing with the pole, Tsuyu's tongue was wrapped around his waist. (From Chapter 22)
The difference this time is that Todoroki doesn't have his allies to assist him… and that he has one trick up his sleeve that he hadn't used before back in the Sports Festival. He started to ignite his hot flames on his left side, making Stain distance himself from getting burned.
This kept going for a few minutes as Todoroki did all he could to get Stain away from Kazume and make the ninja go on the offensive. Barely dodging the blades thrown at him. Stain wall jumped towards Shouto to take him out, letting Kazume get up. Kazume had to act quickly, knowing it won't be long for Stain to figure Todoroki out. And right when Stain was just inches close to slicing Todoroki's left arm off…
Kazume just stopped Stain in the knick of time. A heavy kick to the back of the head was enough to send Stain reeling, using one of his katanas to slash his back. Stain felt it tear up his back, the green part stained red.
'What in the hell did Kenzoku do to this thing?! It… what the fuck?!' Kazume thought, seeing Stain whirl around and try to pounce on him, Kazume quickly put an end to it as he licked off the bloodstain on his new blade.
It was over… it was finally over. Not only was his nightmare finally put down, but his friends are safe… or a friend to be specific in Izuku Midoriya. He gasped and huffed, finally looking down at his subdued brother, it was all over and he could breathe again. However, as he looked towards Iida who started to stand up on his feet, he grabbed him and drew him close by the collar.
"What part of 'Stain's mine' did you not understand?! Throwing yourself at him, just 'cause you think you're all that great and the only one with beef against him? Seriously, if it wasn't for the three of us, you'd be fucking dead!" he ranted.
"I…"
"You don't know what the fuck it was like living with this bastard! It was my goal to end him! I split apart just to deal with all this shit! I finally ended it, but your tunnel-vision about your brother almost got yourself killed! And I lost my fucking eye because of you!" Kazume concluded.
Iida fell silent. It was too late to say anything, Izuku and Shoto still stood there, somewhat shocked at the bloodied and broken Kazume.
"You know what? We're done being friends," Kazume said. Izuku and Shoto sighed and watched Iida stand there, frozen in shock and sadly looking down at his feet. Kazume restrained his brother.
"Oh? So you're… a hero now, huuh?" Stain taunted, "Of course you are, you gain one little friend and all the sudden you want to be a faker…"
"But that's not all… I can tell when a man has someone else to fight for… It's that girl, right? She's been visiting you," Kazume ignored him as he continued to drag him out of the alleyway, waiting for police or any heroes to take him in.
All of the sudden, both Endeavor and Gran Torino showed up, very disappointed for their interns to run off on their own acting reckless, however, they were shocked to see the ex-villain, Kazume with a missing eye as he held his older brother captive behind him. The rest of the other heroes who witnessed Kazume before beheading the big Nomu arrived as well.
He was numb. Numbed from the pain. Seeing… him. The hero responsible for the start of the chaos.
"What are you doing kid, it's too dangerous to be out here, you need to leave and get as far from here as you can!" said Gran Torino.
"My parents are stuck inside! Please! Please, you have to save them!" I screamed as I choked on the smoke billowing from the apartment, tears began to stream down my face.
Gran Torino put his head down in guilt as he picked me up and returned me to my brother and said, "I'm afraid I cannot at this moment. There are other matters we heroes must take care of like defeating this menacing villain." (From Origin Chapter)
Kazume wanted an explanation IMMEDIATELY!
"Hey, anyone mind holding Stain for me? I wanna have a talk with the old man," asked Kazume to one of the heroes.
"Wait… wait… c-calm down, K-kazume…" Izuku stammered, raising his hands in a calm down motion. However, no words can tame the intense rage inside Kazume, as he dropped Stain to the ground, made a beeline at Gran Torino.
*SLAM* Kazume gripped the old hero by the neck as he slammed him down to the ground. He immediately drew his neon-green blade just a centimeter away from his eyes.
"You! YOU LEFT MY FUCKING PARENTS TO DIE FIVE YEARS AGO! HOW COULD YOU!"
*SLAM* he slammed him once again to the hard cement ground. He wanted to hurt him so bad, wanting him to suffer the same pain from the loss of his parents.
"BECAUSE OF YOU! YOU MADE ME AND MY BROTHER HURT PEOPLE! MADE US CRIMINALS! WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY TO THAT?!"
"Heroes… can't save everyone, it may have been the spark, but… it was your brother's choice to use… that grief to harm others and drag you into it," Torino replied.
"THAT DOESN'T MEAN… YOU SHOULDN'T BOTHER… TRYING..."
*THUD* Kazume went out cold, losing consciousness from the blood loss on his eye.
Before the other heroes could process what happened, one of them alarmed the rest about a flying Nomu.
"Look out, there's a Nomu heading this way!"
The flying Nomu was missing its left eye as it spilled blood towards a female who was holding the unconscious Kazume. It quickly snatched the One For All user away from the group, escaping with the hostage Shigaraki desperately wanted to dispose of. Gran Torino wasn't able to go after it since he was still catching his breath from the chokehold from Kazume and the Nomu was out of reach for him to jet towards. However…
Stain was finally free from Kazume's paralysis after the full eight minute timer due to his B blood type. It took the four UA students several minutes to disarm and move him out of the alley way and to the current they're at right now. Stain made his escape by using a hidden knife to cut off the rope tied around his arms. He licked the blood off the female hero to paralyze the flying Nomu and ran after it to save Midoriya, who in his eyes was the only one he saw have what it takes to become a true hero. He stabbed into the flying Nomu's brain, making it release Midoriya and crashland on the street. Midoriya was unscathed thanks to the efforts of Stain, but the Hero Killer wasn't finished.
He glared towards the heroes, ready to make his statement and fight till his last breath. His scarf fell off his face, revealing his missing nose, which left the heroes paralyzed with shock.
"The reason for all those kills… for all those fakers terminated from their duties… is to make a better society! Yet, I'm the criminal? I'm the murderer?! YOU FAKERS DECIDED TO LEAVE ME AND MY LITTLE BRO'S PARENTS TO DIE!" Stain slowly started limping his way towards the hero, leaving a small trail of blood from the cut behind his back.
"This fucking hero society is filled with nothing but pretenders who believe they are so FUCKING GIFTED with their magnificent quirks that make them better than the low lives you don't bother to care about. Survival of the fittest MY FUCKING ASS! I'LL TAKE DOWN THIS ENTIRE HERO SOCIETY UNTIL ONLY ALL MIGHT REMAINS! BECAUSE ONLY HE…" Stain went down on one knee as he was close to losing consciousness "is worthy… "
*THUD* Down went the dangerous, merciless Hero Killer. The chaotic night in Hosu City was finally over. The Nomu threat was finally neutralized as the League of Villains lost their precious resources of their little experiment that went loose from Shigaraki's frustration.
But what really only mattered to the public and hero society in general was that the Hero Killer was finally taken down and will soon live the rest of his days behind a cell in Tartarus.
At last, Kazume can rest easy on his way to the hospital.
At last, Kazume is freed from that bastard's grasp.
At last, heroes will no longer see Pain as a villain.
But instead…
.
.
A name of a new hero on the rise.
