Kay was looking on ahead as if she felt like she was leaving Saunders behind. A dozen M4 Shermans and their variants were present along with a few M3 Lee's. Alisa and Naomi walked up to her as they needed to ask her something.
"Kay where are you doing? Is there a reason why you're leaving?" Alisa asked as she raced forth to Kay. Kay looked at her as she definitely had her heart heavy. She looked at Alisa as she had the answer.
"I'm heading to Pravda, my girlfriend is in trouble. Pravda is currently losing an all-out match against Kuromorimine and its allies. Hopefully I won't be gone for too long, if any trouble comes this school's way, I will be back here in a heartbeat but for now, Alisa you're running the show." Kay looked away as she was leaving Saunders to her devices. Alisa and Naomi nodded as Kay boarded a transport ship with the tanks as they were bound for the Kiev class carrier. It wouldn't be long for her to arrive, however, it will still take a day to arrive.
Erwin was racing along Kuromorimine's Graf Zeppelin as he was determined to get to the school and make it there. Fortunately the weather wasn't too bad but he had fallen very far behind schedule. He didn't know where he was but he had to try to make his way back. Togo was racing along at a rapid speed which was making Erwin nervous.
"Togo, slow down!" Erwin called out but his dog wasn't going to listen. Erwin's eyes widened as the team skidded down an embankment towards the bottom as they weren't going to stop. The dogs howled as they soon landed. Erwin screamed as he was thrown from his sled and landed onto the snow, blacking out, the dogs were mostly unharmed but they had been freed by the clips which had accidentally been undone due to the hard jerking. They looked at their musher as he laid there, not responding.
Meanwhile the staff in Kuromorimine didn't know how much longer Erwin was going to take before he returned back to the school. The telegrapher began walking to the oil lamp as he dimmed the light down to it nearly being out. Maho looked on as she knew Kuromorimine's staff had ran out of hope of the Antitoxins making it back. She looked at her friend who was asleep but having a hard time breathing. Maho held Olivia's hand as she didn't want to lose her friend and Kimi. Maho remembered what she said at the beginning of last year to the news reporter about her advice. Three words stuck with her, never give up. Maho got up and began walking off away from the room as she wanted to give Erwin a chance to keep going however, it was going to take some inspiration from what she had grown up with. Out of the Kuromorimine school building, she knew she needed to get some bottles.
Erika meanwhile was preparing something else altogether. It was going to be another match against Pravda as she was looking over to where the maps were for the field. Pomorie, Solti and Noemi.
"Pravda has attacked our school's Oil fields and this match they seem a bit more confident than normal. They changed the style to a flag tank match meaning if we take out the flag tank, they will be done for." Noemi began as Erika was listening closely. She nodded to what Noemi told her, She began speaking next.
"They might have the confidence of the Black Sea fleet. 1 battleship, 5 cruisers, 16 destroyers and 44 submarines it contains, there is no other fleet in the area to rival it." Erika told them as she remembered the fleet which was just like their Sensha-Do team, a nightmare to the smaller schools.
"Let's hope these ships aren't working in 20 hour shifts and would bombard us from within the harbor." Solti began redirecting the area as she was wondering where the best point of cutting them off would be the best point. She soon pointed down if they were to create a wedge, they should be able to drive along and cut their forces off at one point believing that is where they housed the flag tank since it would be an easy position to defend and a hard one to attack.
"Yeah I figure, we probably don't have close air support either to take out the ships or provide ground support." Erika told her as they were finalizing the plans. Pomorie and Noemi watched as they were finishing up. Erika turned to Pomorie and Noemi that have been paying attention this entire time. "You two agree with the plans?" Erika asked them if they were fine with them.
"Yeah." Noemi responded as she didn't care all that much. Pomorie on the other hand looked at Noemi as she looked back.
"Yeah I can't wait to begin this plan." Pomorie expressed her excitement. Erika nodded as she got up and left without saying another word. Solti and Pomorie followed out afterward as Noemi followed from the rear. The match was about to begin.
Pomorie and the others had gotten into their Vickers tank as they were heading up to the starting area as the snow was just as compact but the weather appeared to be on their side as a gentle yet cold breeze passed alongside them. Judging them much like the last match was Hippo Team as they wanted to see what was going to happen.
"Day four in Operation Barbarossa. Kuromorimine doesn't have enough time to complete their original plan and are going for more limited goals. They are beginning a whole attack along Pravda's front and heading down into a little ocean nook island." Takako began. Riko looked at her as she was getting her history down. Riko looked on as she was sipping her coffee as she spoke next.
"Count on the first day had a run in with tractor tanks that they managed to cut off and eliminate but they lost nearly all of their tanks. Pravda had decided to sacrifice Odessa for the Crimea but they left the residents there a message that they won't be gone for long." Riko told Takako about what was happening. Riko adjusted her hat as they were going to be getting very close to the countdown timer.
"Yeah, we don't know what kind of fortifications Pravda has set up for the flag tank match. It's best we look ahead and find out." Kiyomi told them to watch and pay attention. Riko and Takako's eyes turned to the screen as the match was about ready to begin.
Pomorie's Vickers tank was just about ready to go as Dalmatia's R35 was right next to her. Dalmatia got from her tank's hatch as she looked at Erika giving her a wink.
"Let's hope this match goes as fast as a deer could run." Dalmatia told Erika. Erika smiled a bit before she got back down into the hatch of her tank. An Anti-aircraft gun was fired as the two teams were off or in this case, Erika's team.
Erika and the others made rapid advancements as there was pretty much no resistance they have encountered so far. Koprinka was busy smoking a cigarette as she was surveying the terrain from her LT-35 tank.
"Looks like the field is deserted, where is Pravda hiding?" Koprinka asked them. Mandra was busy watching a horror movie from her LT-35 so she wasn't able to respond. Shiroka was in her R35 as she kept a lookout for any sign of Pravda.
"I suspect they are further in, let's keep a lookout." Shiroka suggested. Erika was leading the column as she kept her eyes open but where was Pravda, were they setting up an ambush? Erika began to speak as she raised her hand.
"All tanks stop." Erika gave the order. All the tanks ground to a halt as they were now in one long line heading down the road. Pomorie drifted her tank to a stop as she began tuning in her radio.
"Why are we stopping, is there a reason why?" Pomorie asked Erika as she was giving the message to stop their tanks. Erika began speaking on the radio.
"Team we don't know where Pravda is hiding, it is best we continue advancing downward." Erika told them. Stefanik and Cori were in a Panzer 38T right behind Pomorie's tank as they were curious about what was happening.
"Do you know what Erika is thinking of?" Cori asked over the radio as she wanted to figure out what was happening. Pomorie opened her hatch to the tank for a better look.
"I don't know but Erika might be deciding on what to…" Pomorie stopped as she heard a whirring sound of an incoming shell. The sound got closer as Pomorie began to freak out a bit but she needed to remain calm. "Do you hear that?" Soon the massive shell exploded right next to them as a massive combination of black, yellow and red paintballs splattered on the ground around them. Soon more came in as it began knocking out tanks from Gregor and Magyar. Pomorie got back into her tank's hatch as Erika gave the order.
"We're under attack!" Erika shouted. The tanks began dispersing from the road as a few Panzer 38T's, LT VZ-40's, all three 38M toldi and a Turan 1 had been knocked out in the opening barrage. Pomorie knew she needed to make some desperate measures if they were going to get out of this mess.
"Everyone scatter!" Pomorie ordered the others to get off the road and drive as fast as possible to cover to find out what was causing the mess. She looked at Varna as fear was consuming her. "Floor it!" Pomorie shouted. Varna nodded as the tank rapidly took off as the next pair of shells were beginning to rain down. Ticha's Vzor-33 drove off as they were desperate to find cover along with a couple of the Croatia Gang's FT-17's. A massive shell came down knocking out all three tanks at once as they were tossed through the air and landed on their sides. Ticha screamed out in horror.
"My Monocle shattered again!" Ticha screamed as this was the second monocle she had lost so far. The next shell landed shortly after taking out 6 CV-33's at once. Pomorie looked on as she was trying to figure out where the shells were coming from.
"Is that Kv-2 firing on us?" Pomorie asked Erika who was thankfully still around. Her tiger 2 was trying to escape the carnage to find some cover. Erika opened the hatch as she looked out, what was firing on them was no Kv-2 but rather a pair of coastal artillery guns stationed on a hill.
"No but… why would Pravda be using coastal artillery guns in this match? Those aren't tanks." Erika told Pomorie. She looked ahead as Pomorie was followed behind by Solti and Dalmatia as they were thankful to having escaped unscathed.
"Yeah whatever was firing on us definitely stopped. We're going off to investigate before the artillery guns reload." Pomorie told Erika as the three tanks sped off. Erika was studying the pair of twin turreted guns as they were focusing on the target. Erika's tiger 2 which was the flag tank. The fortress had the number 30 on it.
Meanwhile, Hippo team was watching this as it appeared that 20 or so tanks had been knocked out so far and not a single dent in Pravda's tank yet.
"Looks like Pravda's brought the big guns into the game." Takeko began as she studied the fortress where the coastal battery guns were located, they had the number 30 on it.
"Coastal battery number 30 it is. 305mm guns are their main armament and they have a range of 26 miles." Takako was reading what the coastal gun was. Riko jabbed her friend as she smiled.
"Or as the Germans like to call it, Fort Maxim Gorky 1." Riko made her reference as she continued to watch the screen. Pomorie, Erika, Dalmatia and Solti were busy trying to come up with a plan on how to silence the huge artillery guns.
"Those guns ripped through a fifth of our team like it was nothing, so we need to pull together if we are going to try to destroy their flag tank without having those guns fire in on us." Pomorie wanted to get a plan going to bypass the guns and seize their flag tank. Erika began thinking as she was trying to figure out a plan about the guns and where their safe spot was. Erika soon thought of something as she wanted to do this. "Those guns if we can get close enough cannot depress down far enough to fire on us effectively meaning we can slip underneath them. Plus it will take them a very long while for them to reload. Probably an hour or so." Erika gave them the effective time it would take for them to get ready. Pomorie nodded as she began speaking.
"Okay everyone follow Erika." Pomorie began as Erika's Tiger began leading the way. The four tanks drove on through as their first line of resistance was soon encountered upon. Several T-26's and a couple of T-35's made their appearance as they were encountering the four tank force. Erika began prioritizing what targets they should take on as more surviving tanks began arriving. Erika and Solti fired their Tiger tanks into the T-35's immediately taking them out. Pomorie and Dalmatia got their eyes ready as they fired onto the T-26's, their AP rounds tore through the tanks as they managed to knock out a couple of them. The remaining T-26's began retreating as Erika and the others decided to pursue them to get to the flag tank.
"They're getting away! What are we going to do?" Dalmatia asked as she fired another shot at the T-26's. The shot fell short as the sporadic nature of the shot fired off wasn't accurate. Erika knew she had to calm her fears down a bit.
"Like what we always do, chase them down!" Erika gave the order. Dalmatia huffed before she began focusing on the task ahead. The tanks began moving in a flanking move to try to take on more of the Pravda tanks that were now heading into the fight.
El's Panzer 2 and Anchovy's P26/40, were spear-heading their way in seeing that Erika was leading the charge from another angle. El Sighted a charging BT tank as the 20mm Autocannon began firing at the BT tank, the tank soon went down without much of a fight. Anchovy got her moment to shine as she spotted a T-28 lumbering along to support its speedy partner. Anchovy prepared herself as she soon fired a shot at the T-28 at the side, knocking it out immediately. El and Anchovy looked on as a massive explosion came from right behind them, knocking out one of their M13/40 tanks. They soon turned around as the Kv-2 made a surprise appearance. Anchovy knew it was best to ignore it because she had a plan.
"The tank is on uneven ground so let me see if I got any CV-33's to annoy the tank so it can fall to the ground and knock itself out." Anchovy replied as she was going to give her plan. Pepperoni's CV-33 was called in as the tank was hopefully fast enough to confuse the giant like the Kv-2. The small tankette began driving around in a circle as the Kv-2's turret began rotating around to see if it could get a sight of the tankette and fire, however, concentrating all of that weight to one side on unstable ground meant that the tank wasn't going stay on its tracks for very long. Soon the Kv-2 began to tip over as the massive behemoth fell turret first into the ground, a white flag popped out as the tank had been knocked out without having a shot fired at it. Anchovy and El were happy seeing the behemoth taken out in a heartbeat. Now they could move on and help take out the flag tank that was stationed in the area.
With the 8 schools barreling down from three sides, the tanks seemed trapped. Nonna was riding along in her Kv-1 as she was made commander of it as well as being its commander. She had sent Brook's T-34/76 out there to try to stall their advance and take out Erika's Tiger 2 which was her flag tank. Nonna was just waiting for a response from Brook to see where she was.
"Brook are you there? It's me, Nonna, I wish to speak with you at once." Nonna began. Brook and a good number of other tanks were on another side as they were getting ready for their attack to begin.
"How are you holding out over there?" Brook asked as she was curious about how Nonna was doing. Nonna knew the situation was desperate as she needed to let Brook know about this.
"We're not doing too good. Erika and the others have smashed through the front lines and are heading for the north shore. Once there, they can begin dominating the harbor. If Erika keeps this up, the longest I can hold out for is about another 3 hours, maybe less. Desperate measures are going to be taken if you are going to try to hold back their advance and try to sink your teeth into their exposed flank." Nonna told her as if Brook was going to make a move, she better act fast or the match was going to be over.
"Okay we're going to do it." Brook responded as she had half of the team at her disposal. She turned to make her announcement. "Okay all tanks that are at my disposal, we are going to be landing at two points, Kerch and Feodosiya. Nonna desperately needs us to make a move so I don't want anyone sitting idle." Understood?"
"Yes Ma'am." The students called out. Brook nodded as the tanks began to roll forward.
25 tanks soon crossed into the area into Kerch point and secured a few areas. The 25 others led by Brook decided to take Feodosiya point as the tanks were going to run into some heavy resistance. Augustus' Panzer 38T had been sitting idle along with what remained of Magyar's tank force as they were watching the flank. They had peeled away under orders from Erika to guard the flank to make sure no attacks came from that side. She looked on as she saw something approach them. 25 tanks from the water as it was clear they were coming for them. Augusta decided to raise the alarm.
"Pravda tanks are counter attacking!" Augusta shouted as her tank got ready. The Panzer 38T fired its first shot at Brook's T-34 but the shot bounced off leaving a red streak on her tank. Brook soon fired in retaliation as her shot missed the Panzer 38T and dirt flew everywhere, dusting the tank. Augustus was relieved she wasn't hit but decided to focus the next shot on the turret as she hoped in knocking out the tank that way. Another shot from another Panzer 38T was fired at the T-34. This shot too didn't do much as a red splatter was left on the tank. Brook decided to focus Augustus down first as the tanks fired away at each other. A couple T-26's had been lost so far but the Kerch force was moving south to reinforce her. The 2nd Panzer 38T fired at the T-34 but much like the last shot, it didn't do much as it bounced off the turret of the tank. Brook gave the order.
"Fire." Brook told the gunner. The T-34 fired as the shot flew, connecting with Augusta's Panzer 38T. Augusta felt her tank fly up a bit as it soon landed and spluttered, unable to move with a big red paint splatter on it. A white flag popped up as that tank was taken out.
"Looks like our student council couldn't hold out against that transfer student." Kafka called out from her Panzer 38T. Mucha loaded another shot in for her as Kafka began focusing on another shot to try to take on that T-34. "Back the tank up." Kafka called to her driver as Kafka looked at Mucha. She fired the shot at the T-34 as that shot too, bounced off of the turret, leaving a red paint streak on it. Brook soon fired the T-34 as the tank took a shot at the Panzer 38T, it had struck the tank on the tracks, rendering Kafka's tank immobilized. Kafka knew she needed to retaliate if she was going to try to survive this match but even she wouldn't be able to make it. Mucha had finished reloading another AP round into Kafka's tank. The tank fired as the shot pinged off of the armor of the T-34. It was hopeless now. Kafka gulped as the T-34 fired, the shot causing Kafka's tank to fly into the air briefly before landing on its back. Another white flag popped out and that was two down so far. Meanwhile the Magyar's Panther Tank was firing at anything that got into the guns effective range. It managed to knock out a few T-26's and a couple of BT-7's. Brook's T-34 was approaching as she needed something to do, if she did nothing, the tanks could break through, take out their defenses and take on Erika's tank. Lazca looked out of her periscope as she was trying to figure out who would be coming. The T-34 did approach as the Panther Tank prepared to fire.
"Fire!" Lazca shouted, the Panther tank fired at the T-34, the shot hitting the turret of the tank but not necessarily doing significant damage. Brook's T-34 turned as it was getting ready to engage the Panther, it took a shot at the front armor to gauge how thick it was. The shot managed to strike the Panther but it didn't do any significant damage. The T-34 decided to head for where the armor would be weaker. Lazca was rotating the turret as fast as she could to try taking out the tank that was trying to flank around. Fortunately she managed to beat the T-34 as she was waiting for the moment to fire. That moment soon came as the Panther fired a shot into the side of the T-34. Brook's tank rattled and spluttered when it took a hit to the engine before slowing down to where it couldn't function no more. A white flag popped out of Brook's tank as it was a sign that it had been knocked out. Lazca knew that with the major part of their force attacking gone, it was time to go on the offensive. The tanks soon began to roll forth as they were now pushing along the perimeter taking out the light tanks with ease. Despite them retaking Feodosiya point, their attack however will turn into a stalemate.
The main show however was happening with Erika and her friends as they managed to carve through Nonna's perimeter and stayed out of the detecting range of the heavy naval batteries. Nonna was preparing to face off against Erika and her friends with her Kv-1 heavy tank. Pomorie was traveling in her Vickers tank as they had been recently joined by El's Panzer 2 and Anchovy's P26/40. Their tanks had a plan and that was to attack Nonna's KV-1 from 6 different directions, The tank was spotted first by Dalmatia as she was going to risk getting her attention on her so Erika could fire the decisive shot.
"Here I go, wish me luck." Dalmatia told them as she was going to try her best to keep Nonna's eyes focused in another direction. Dalmatia fired a signal shot at the Kv-1. The small R35 shot splattered on the Kv-1's thick armor and didn't do much damage. Nonna began turning the turret to face the R35 that had shot it as it was like throwing a rock at an angry rhinoceros. El knew Dalmatia could be in danger so she decided to make the next move. El began using the Panzer 2's Autocannon as she began firing all her shots into the side of the Kv-1. Much like the R35, the shots really didn't do much except for Nonna to turn the Kv-1's turret onto them. El began backing the Panzer 2 away as she was beginning to chicken out and hopefully get out of their range. Nonna focused on the retreating Panzer 2 as she soon fired the first shot. The KV-1 shot easily tore into the Panzer 2 light tank sending the crew flying as the entire rear of the tank was painted in a red color. The tank spluttered with smoke as a white flag popped out, they were down and out.
"There goes Blue Division." Solti told them as it was just five of them now against the KV-1. Noemi from her T-3 decided to try to provoke Nonna to attack her. She fired a shot into the Kv-1 but it struck one of the tank treads instead. Nonna's KV-1 turret turned as Pomorie knew now was the chance for her to fire. Rila had loaded an Armor Piercing round into the chamber and Pomorie was ready.
"Fire." Rila called out. Pomorie fired as the shot, the shot connected into the back of the Kv-1 turret but due to how thick the armor was and how small of a caliber the Vickers gun was, it didn't really do that much damage. Nonna felt a ping but sensing it was just the Vickers 6-ton tank, she decided to ignore it. The Kv-1 fired a shot at the T-3 but narrowly missed the tank as the T-3 fired again, hitting the turret of the Kv-1. The shot bounced up as it still wasn't able to pierce the tank's thick armor.
"Those smaller tanks are having a hard time taking out that Kv-1. Their cannons aren't powerful enough to penetrate that heavy tank's thick armor." Erika was observing as Dalmatia took a shot at the Kv-1. The shot bouncing off the back of the tank's turret. Erika knew she needed to step on and help out.
Erika drove her Tiger 2 as Solti was hanging back, preparing a shot to assist Erika in case she missed. Erika was relying on her crew though they weren't in the best shape but hopefully their experience in the matches previous to this one. Erika focused on the Kv-1 which took a fire at Pomorie's tank. The vickers tank was fortunate enough to get out of the way from the Kv-1 as they continued to harass it trying to land a shot which they could penetrate. Erika looked down as she had the perfect angle to fire on.
"Fire." Erika gave the order. The Tiger 2 fired at the Kv-1 as it wanted to connect its shot with the flag tank. Unlike the other smaller tanks, the shot connected as the Kv-1 rattled and spluttered, badly hit, it wasn't out of the fight as Nonna soon began turning her turret to the Tiger 2 which was now the biggest threat to her tank's survival for the match. Erika knew she needed to brace for the impact of the shell in case her tank was next to be taken out. Nonna lined up with the weak point at the front of the Tiger 2 and prepared to fire. Dalmatia seeing all of this decided to try to reverse Erika's fate.
"Driver, block the Tiger 2. The Kv-1 is about to fire." Dalmatia gave the order. Her driver looked at her as if she was insane.
"You crazy, you want your tank to go down?" Her driver asked as if Dalmatia was making the right choice. Dalmatia was getting impatient as she began shouting at her driver.
"Either that or we're losing that Tiger 2, now reverse!" Dalmatia was going crazy from the match, her driver gulped nervously as she began to spring. Nonna's Kv-1 had its sights on the Tiger 2 and Nonna smiled, then fired. Suddenly the R35 from the Croatian gang rapidly reversed as it took the shot meant for the Tiger 2 as the tank spluttered and fell to the side. Erika peeked from her tank to see the R35 lay there motionless, a moment later, a white flag was visible as that tank was knocked out. Erika ducked back down into her tank as her Tiger 2 began preparing for another shot. The tank drove off to get a better angle in the hopes of finding a thinner spot to penetrate from. Nonna's Kv-1 was turning as it was trying to line up and fire upon Erika's tank. Solti fired a shot from her Tiger 1 as the shot caused the Kv-1 to vibrate. This vibration gave Erika enough time to focus on the engine of the Kv-1 as another shell was ready.
"Fire!" Erika shouted. Soon the Tiger 2 fired as the shot landed on the engine. The Kv-1 went up in smoke as the tank spluttered and came to a stop. Everyone's eyes were staring at the Kv-1 as they wondered if it was still going to move or not. Within moments, a white flag popped up over the Kv-1 signalling that the flag tank had been knocked out. Kuromorimine and its allies won this match.
"Another victory for us." Erika called out to them. Despite losing some 40 or so tanks, it was still a victory for them. Nonna knew that she wasn't able to halt Kuromorimine as she promised Katyusha but she was definitely itching for a rematch. Watching all of this, Hippo team wanted to give some comments about the match.
"Well that match ended in Kuromorimine's favor." Takako sipped her tea as Riko looked on.
"Yeah even forts Maxim Gorky 1 and 2 couldn't punish them entirely despite wiping out almost half of their team." Riko sighed as she tipped her hat. Takako looked at her friend as she wanted to suggest something.
"Kuromorimine should have bought out a couple of Karl-Gerat mortars if they were going to take on those forts." Riko laughed as she began speaking.
"Not only that but what about Schwerer Gustav?" The rest of the history club laughed as even though it would be awesome, a railway gun couldn't fit on the field of battle but this battle was as good as done.
Later, Nonna and Brook returned as she had some news for her commander. Katyusha was sitting alone as Nonna wanted to address this to her.
"Katyusha, we lost the match, despite our efforts, Erika still managed to overpower us." Nonna gave Katyusha the news. Katyusha wasn't surprised but moreover frustrated.
"Can't our students do anything right? We're just continuously losing because our students haven't been taught Sensha-do properly." Katyusha came to the conclusion of this. Nonna knew that she needed to address something to Katyusha.
"Yeah but there are other factors that might be contributing to the losses." Nonna told her. Katyusha turned around as if she wanted to listen.
"What are those losses that you might be talking about?" Katyusha asked Nonna if Nonna had the key. Nonna knew that it would be difficult but she knew she needed to list them off.
"We're still using T-26's BT's, T-35's, ETC, Those tanks do little to nothing to try to take out the combined school's forces and act mainly as meat-shields. Despite using T-34's and Kv's, they were tough to penetrate and it often resorted to the smaller schools having trouble trying to take them out. We should begin moving away from the light tanks and start focusing on those two tanks, three if you count the Kv-2, we can begin racking up victories in no time if the crew is rested and properly trained. Brook managed to knock out a couple Panzer 38T's and almost knocked out a Panther before going down. Speaking of which, Kuromorimine took the heaviest losses since the beginning of the matches with Batteries No. 30 & 35 taking out some 25 tanks." Nonna gave the news as Katyusha was surprised as her plan had somewhat worked by using the heavy batteries but it wasn't enough to completely take them out.
"We're suffering a shortage of medium tanks since I want to begin using more T-34/76's as they will be a big help for us. Kay has agreed to lend us some M3 Lees and M4 Shermans so we can do some research with them." Katyusha began. Nonna and Brook were listening to this as Katyusha began laying out her plan. "We should use more self-Propelled guns and more anti-tank weapons on the field to match Kuromorimine in terms of overall firepower. I will be the one to train the students personally since the teachers that are still under Grigori's spell aren't doing a very good job." Katyusha knew the plan would be fool proof as she wanted to give the plan out. Nonna agreed but there was one question to all of this.
"What should we do about Grigori?" Nonna asked Katyusha as she didn't know what to do with the homeless wizard. Katyusha looked at her as she had no clue.
"Figure it out yourself, I need some students to train. Tell Erika we're switching it up so she can get a day's worth of rest, we're challenging Mika tomorrow." Katyusha got up and walked away. Nonna was concerned for Katyusha who was making plans on the fly. It was becoming stressful for her to lead but moreover, stressful for Brook. Nonna knew fully that her friend couldn't handle high amounts of stress without breaking down so she knew it would be better to hold her over.
"I know you tried your best, hopefully our match against Jatkosota can raise the morale of our school. Our choices rest on Katyusha's shoulders and hopefully she could pull her head from the sand and start reorganizing the team. She says General Winter isn't too far away and when he comes, we will bring havoc onto Kuromorimine." Nonna got up and she began leading Brook away as she wanted to tell Erika about the rest part.
Pomorie and the others were waiting around as Srebarna knew she needed to make an announcement on the loudspeaker. They had been exhausted from four days of constant matches without much of a break. The loudspeaker crackled as Srebarna decided to get through and began speaking.
"Students of Yogurt Academy, we received the news that Pravda will be facing off against Jatkosota tomorrow as we will have a day's worth of rest, and as a result, we're cancelling all classes tomorrow so that the students could use the time and rest up properly before heading back out. Use this time to catch up with your classes if you haven't already." Srebarna told them as the students from the school cheered, even students that didn't normally attend Sensha-Do were happy to hear that all classes were going to be cancelled to give them a moment to breathe. Srebarna finished as the students continued to go back to their business.
A day's rest was worth it but the day after that was going to be disastrous for all.
[A/N]: Splitting up this entire Island match into two parts as this entire campaign that it's based on extends into the summer of next year so this part will focus on the first year and when we get back to the year afterward will be the collapse of all defenses in the area. Pravda is using this time to test out new tactics so the reason for rest is justified but what would happen to Grigori? Next chapter will be the follow up of what is about to happen.
