A/N

Hi. Here's your weekly update. Thanks to our Guest 'L' for the prompt.

Boarding school AU, mortal. Enjoy.

"Psst! Reyna!"

Reyna Avila Ramirez-Arellano sighed heavily at the voice that came from her window. She looked up from her book, resigned to the fact that this would be her life from now on.

"Yes, Percy?"

The boy grinned as she mentioned his name, the pearly-white teeth of his shining in the dim light of the room. Reyna could make out the outline of his usually messy, jet-black hair, and his ever-mesmerising, ever-vibrant eyes of sea-green.

In truth, it was already lights-out in the dorms, but everyone knew of Percy Jackson's antics. Well, her in particular.

Percy Jackson was, undeniably, an enigma. No one actually knew how he got into the school, but from what Reyna's room-neighbour, Annabeth, had told her, he'd gotten in with a swimming scholarship of some sort. How did Annabeth know? Reyna had learned it was better not to question her tactics.

And in the few months he'd been at 'New Rome' – the affectionate name which students had come up with for Jupiter College – Percy Jackson had continuously, again and again, defied all rules and expectations.

The first day he'd been here, Percy had promptly picked a fight with Luke Castellan – and somehow became friends with him later that year. Then, he'd gone on to become Mister Brunner's favourite student by far. Reyna had anticipated for Annabeth, the traditional mantle-holder of the teacher's favourite, to protest.

Her roommate had simply rolled her eyes and smiled before smacking Percy in the back of the head. Maybe something was going on there.

The call of her name brought Reyna back into reality, and she honed in on the first thing she saw, which happened to be the face of the boy at her window, looking at her questioningly.

"You good?"

A blush found its way onto the Puerto Rican girl's face as her neck heated up and turned red in embarrassment as well.

"Yeah. Shut up."

Jackson had the audacity to just stare at her from her bedroom window, his arms now slung over the frame and into the chamber itself. He was probably on a ladder or something; Reyna doubted he had the core strength or endurance to lift himself like that onto the ledge.

"Sure." He replied, though his tone was obviously sceptical. Percy raised and eyebrow and his lips quirked before he once again broke out into a blinding smile.

"I am!" Reyna attempted to protest, but she knew the desperation was getting to her. Damn. What had happened to her composure?

Jackson let out a noncommital mmm sound before shrugging and abruptly pushing himself off the ledge, and... into her room?

Okay, but seriously, that strength was pretty insane if there was nothing below to support his weight.

Before she knew it, however, Percy Jackson had clambered inside and nearly fallen over, teetering on two toes and attempting to balance himself. It was at this amazingly stupid sight where Reyna finally regained her senses and got up from her comfortable position in bed.

"What the fuck are you doing? We have an agreement, Jackson," Reyna hissed, glancing towards the doorway as footsteps rang out from the hallway. Great. Just great.

Percy just pouted and crossed his arms, attempting to give the girl those cute seal-eyes of his. Reyna stared at him, unimpressed, waiting for an answer.

"Well, I missed you."

"Jackson. You say that every time."

The boy only frowned more. "Don't call me Jackson. Ya know I don't like it."

The girl raised an eyebrow. "Thalia calls you Jackson."

"That's Thals, and a different story."

Reyna blinked, too surprised by what he'd just said. "Does Thalia Grace seriously let you call her Thals?"

"Yeah. What about it?"

"... You're a strange one, Jackson."

"Hey!"

And right then, the door decided to open. Reyna froze and Percy, in what would have been an utterly hilarious action if not for their situation, decided it would be smart to just thump onto the floor. Thankfully, he was smart enough to have hidden himself behind the bed.

"Reyna?!"

The latina girl breathed a sigh of relief, hearing the voice of her next-door neighbour. Annabeth Chase stood in the doorway, looking visibly confused.

"Are you okay? I heard some voices from next door, and then I just heard some weird noise."

"Oh, yeah, just-"

"Hi, Annabeth!"

Reyna swore under her breath as Percy ascended from his spot behind the bed, grinning like an idiot and waving at Annabeth, whose face was contorted into an expression half amusement and half disgust.

"Hi, Percy." Annabeth answered rather cheerfully, before turning to Reyna and raising her eyebrow in a way that just screamed really?

Reyna shot her dorm-mate a pointed look but the latter just rolled her eyes before turning back to face Percy, as did Reyna. The boy simply looked confused and shrugged.

"Well, I was just about to invite Reyna to come out with me, but you can come too, Annabeth."

Now, the Puerto Rican herself had been out with Jackson a couple of times, but Annabeth? Reyna nearly snorted at the thought. She was the good girl, no way she would accept it.

Annabeth, to Reyna's surprise, smirked. Smirked.

"Not tonight, Jackson. I'll leave you alone with Rey-Rey over here."

"Okay then. Night! Maybe you can make it tomorrow night. Thalia's coming."

"Thalia? Yeah, sure then. Night, Percy."

Reyna failed to get a single word in as Percy Jackson conversed with Annabeth like they'd known each other their entire lives.

"Reyna? Reyna!"

"What the hell was that?"

Percy frowned, confused at her question. "What?"

"Annabeth! And you! And – and – what? Why's she sneaking out and stuff? She's not – what?"

"She's been sneaking out for years. I made her do it in third grade for the first time."

Reyna looked incredulous, but Percy waved her concerns off. He couldn't be bothered with this right now; he was here for a different reason anyways.

"Come on! I found a new makeout spot for us!"

Percy leaned over the bed and stretched his hand towards her. Reyna rolled her eyes, but acquiesced to his request and grabbed on, feeling herself being abruptly lurched upwards and into Percy's arms.

"Also, the place is called your bedroom."

...Dammit. The little shit could be smooth sometimes.

Fin.
