As the blinding light faded away as the crystal was nothing but dust, Kat looked toward the ranger who occupied the bed then to the CDD, wondering if the crystal had remained stable enough to have any effect on the female resting in the bed at all. All eyes were upon her all asking the same question that Bridge had asked moments before; the four rangers all had hope in their eyes as they waited for any signs of life from Syd. "I don't know, it may be too soon to tell if it worked. This was only a shot in the dark, we don't know if the crystal lasted long enough to admit any energy to her before it turned to dust"

Placing the CDD onto the table beside Syd's bed Kat looked towards Commander Cruger as he was yet to say anything, the large blue dog almost seemed to be fixated on the pink ranger but not as fixated on the pink ranger as the current blue ranger was. Sky looked towards the woman that he clearly was head over heels for with hope in his eyes as he prayed that by some miracle that light blue eyes would suddenly open and show that she was alright. The longer that they all stood to attention just waiting the more that the hope in their eyes started to fade away when Sydney failed to awaken.

Taking his glasses from his eyes Dr Felix rubbed against her tired eyes as he stepped forward and took some of Sydney's vitals, placing his hand against her upper arm as he sighed and put the frames back onto his face as he looked towards the rangers and gently shook his head. "No change I'm afraid" As he walked past the edge of the bed stopping briefly beside Sky and placing his hand against the blue rangers shoulder before he continued to walk away from the team and towards his office, the man didn't know what he was going to about the pink ranger. Dr Felix didn't want to lose hope but it was quickly becoming clear that she may never awaken at all and the team would have to find a new pink ranger, that wouldn't go down very well. This he knew for sure.

Pulling back from his team as he knew they needed a moment to understand what may have been about to happen within the squad, Commander Cruger lowered his head as he and Kat left the rangers alone with their friend and team mate, making sure that they wouldn't be disturbed as the door shut behind the pair. "If she doesn't wake soon I might have to accept that it's time to find a new ranger for B-squad" The commander wished he didn't had to face the task that had been looming over him for the last few days but the longer the team was down the ranger the more at risk New Tech City was, it was only a matter of time before Grumm would strike again.

Back inside of the infirmary all four rangers at taken seats around the bed of Syd, Z sitting beside Bridge resting her head against his shoulder as she had placed her hope in the crystal just like the others had and now it seemed that it had failed, tears rimming the edges of her eyes as she thought of never having her best friend back. Sniffing slightly as she tried to keep her tears away the yellow ranger looked towards Syd and gently played with the stuffed animal's fur. She had hoped the Sydney would appreciate the fact that she had peanuts with her. "Remember the incident with the diamonds at the warehouse just after Jack and I arrived?" Watching as the rest of the rangers nodded Z smiled sadly as she looked towards Sky knowing that he would remember that day without question. "She has one of the diamonds on her bedside table, I always wondered why she would smile when she looked at the box, that day something changed, something that she wanted to remember"

Sky had a feeling the Z new about the interaction that had happened between the pink and blue rangers that day, the water being poured over her head and the smiles that were exchanged.

"She never gave up of RIC despite what she had said about him, he may be a robot by that dog loves her as well" Bridge wrapped an arm around Z and gently rubbed her back as he knew that his friend was on the verge of crying and that stung him a little more than he let on. "She was so sure that he was right that she stood out in the rain for heaven's sake, Syd. Syd who doesn't like getting dirty out in the rain and mud" Bridge had been so proud of his friend that day, she stuck with her intuition and faith and she had been right to do so.

Playing with the delicate fingers of the pink ranger, Sky was only somewhat listening to what the other rangers were saying as his sole focus was on Sydney and that wasn't going to change any time soon. The next to speak was Jack, talking about she had given him half of her birthday. Words didn't really faze the blue ranger as he looked towards the sleeping features of resting ranger, something caught his eyes, he didn't know if it was wishful thinking or he had really seen movement but it had been more than enough to alert him, not caring if someone else was talking the blue ranger placed his hand against Syd's shoulder and gently shook her, trying to see if he could get some kind of response out of her. "She moved" Grabbing the attention of the other rangers and stopping Jack from talking, they all looked towards Sky with both hope and puzzle on their faces as they wondered what Sky had been talking about until they noticed the sudden flicker of Syd's long lashes against her cheeks as it looked like she was trying to open her eyes but couldn't bring herself to do so. "I'll go get Dr Felix" Almost pushing his chair over as he stood up and raced out of the room Jack looked around as the doors slid open, "Doc you've gotta come back, its Syd"

Dropping his pen onto the desk Dr Felix didn't hesitate to push himself out of his chair and rounded his desk as he rushed back from where the red ranger had first come from to get him. Entering the room as he pulled his lab coat on the cat was a little surprised to see the movement of Syd's eyes, her lashing hitting her skin as if she was trying to blink. Taking a penlight out of his pocket and clicking it on, Dr Felix gently opened one of Syd's eyes, watching as the light made her pupil react for the first time since she had arrived, this was a very good sign. "She has pupillary response, that's a good sign, but people in comas have been known to show this kind of response, we need to see if she reacts to pain" Walking over to the tray of medical instruments waiting for use he pulled on the packaging of the new needle until it opened.

Shuddering at the sight of the needle, Jack wanted to leave the room as needles weren't his favourite things in the world but his want to stay with Syd and the others overpowered his fear but he still didn't want to watch.

Now out of her seat, Z placed her hand against Jack's arm as she knew about her brothers' fear of the sharp object, trying to bring him some comfort as she and the other two rangers watched as Dr Felix picked up one of Syd's hands, having now returned to her bedside.

Sky was sure that everyone could heart his heart as it thundered from within his chest as he held onto Syd's other hand. Eye's darting from between the needle in the doctor's hand and the relaxed face of Sydney, his hands curled around hers a little more as he watched as Dr Felix pressed the pointed tip of the needle into the end of Syd's finger. Shock washing over the blue ranger as he felt her hand tighten around his and her finger that had been pricked pulled back as a natural reaction to the sensation that she had felt. The reaction was a very good sign, one that everyone had been hoping for.

"Syd if you can hear me, I was you to squeeze Sky's hand again, just like you did before" Tension was think in the air as breaths were held as everyone looked down at the hands that where interlocked hoping that the smaller hand would move again.

At first no one was sure if movement had occurred or it was just their hope playing tricks on them until Sky's head shot up as there was pressure against his hand, her fingers moving slightly as from around the bed the sound of beeps rang out clearly as Sydney's heart rate had started to climb to a much more normal rate then it had been before. "Come on Syd, open your eyes for me sweetheart" Not really caring that he had used the term of endearment while others were in the room, Sky held onto her hand a little tighter as he watched her eyes fiercely. His mouth becoming dry as cotton as he waited, seconds feeling like hours for the man as his heart thudded loudly in his ears.

Small creases formed of the pink rangers forehead as she seemed to respond even more to the words around her, her brows knitted together slightly as lashes slowly started to lift, as it they were weight her eyelids down. Pink lips parted as a sigh came from the recently muted ranger as her breathing changed, trying to bring more air into her body to gather her strength back.

Reaching his hand out, Sky gently caressed her cheek, watching as her brows relaxed and she gently tilted her head against the touch that she was being given before finally her lashes lifted and bright blue eyes say light for the first time, the sensation burning the eyes of the ranger for a moment and forced her to blink a few times. For the blue ranger it was a sight that he had more than longed to see, her stunning blue eyes showing that she was awake and responsive.

"Welcome back Cadet, you had as all worried there" Smiling as he saw that her vitals were stabilizing and become normal and frequent as they should be Dr Felix stepped back as Jack, Z and Bridge rushed forward all taking their places beside her back welcoming her back to all of them.

Having now adjusted to the light and the situation Sydney smiled softly as her eyes fell onto the blue ranger who still had a tight hold on her hand, her lips parting even more as she swallowed for her voice crackled slightly from lack of use.

"Good to be back" Syd's wasn't able to get another word out before she was taken into a hug from her best friend in yellow, slowly bringing her arms around Z, Syd smiled as she was able to lay back down as the hug was broken. "Don't EVER do that to us again" Letting a tear fall down her cheek as she laughed softly trying to contain her joy that her friend was now with them again. "I don't wanna have to be the only girl on the team again anytime soon" Quickly drying her tears, Z turned her head away and sniffed as she didn't want anyone to see her like this for the moment.

"Good to have you back Syd" Bridge reached forward and gently touched her arm with a glove covered hand before he pulled away, watching as Jack did the same thing.

"Good thing you came back, I would hate to have our birthday alone" The red ranger smiled brightly, flashing his teeth as he reached out towards Z and gently took her hand, picking up on how the only one yet to speak with Sky. "Why do we go and find the commander and Kat? Tell them that Syd's woken up"

Chuckling softly as three of the rangers left the room; Dr Felix looked towards Sky and smiled. "Call if she needs anything" Closing the doors behind him, Dr Felix was glad that the two rangers were going to get a few moments alone for now.
