Guest 2.0: The one from the nineties. Thank you.

"How long do you think we've been on this boat?" Percy asked randomly as the trio stared up at the night's sky.

It was a fair question, Oliver mused. It had been several days since they had departed San Francisco on this boat. It seemed to have its own sense of direction, as it kept sailing towards their destination, wherever it was, food appearing in the boat as needed so they wouldn't starve. It was proving to be an increasingly long journey.

"Guys," Annabeth suddenly sat up, looking straight ahead.

Oliver and Percy followed her gaze. Up ahead, merely a few feet from them, was a shore. It appeared they had finally arrived at their destination.

Once the boat hit shore, Oliver, Percy, and Annabeth grabbed their few supplies and got off the boat. As they looked around, Oliver narrowed his eyes. As he eyed the area, it hit him why it was so familiar. He had been here before. Oliver wanted to laugh. Of course Novu had sent them here.

"Any idea where we are?" Percy asked.

"Yeah," Oliver said tiredly and the couple looked at him. "Nanda Parbat. We're in Nanda Parbat."

Star City

Same time

Lyla Michaels was getting ready to head home for the night when her hair stood on end. Whirling around, she pulled out a pistol and took aim at the intruder.

"Lyla Michaels," Mar Novu greeted.

"Who the Hell are you?" Lyla demanded.

"Your husband would know me as The Monitor," Novu said and Lyla stiffened.

"You're the one who switched Oliver and Barry last year and the guy who sent Oliver on this Kamikaze mission," Lyla said and Novu did not deny it. "So give me one reason why I shouldn't put a bullet in you."

"I believe you may find that difficult," Novu said with a slight smirk.

Lyla looked down at her hand, surprised to see the gun was gone. Looking up, she was surprised to see Novu was examining the gun.

"Such a primitive weapon," he said before looking back at Lyla, who had paled. "Had I wished you harm, you would have never noticed my presence."

"So what do you want?" Lyla asked wearily, deciding to hear him out, not that she had a choice.

"Oliver Queen's mission will soon reach its endgame. I must make preparations for it. For that, I will need your help…"

Nanda Parbat

Not long after

"So this Raz al Ghul guy-"

"Ra's," Oliver corrected Percy as they and Annabeth walked through a forest.

"Ruled this county until you killed him," Perc said.

"Sort of. Nanda Parbat belonged to the League of Assassins until it was disbanded three years ago," Oliver explained.

"There was an entire group of assassins. Cool," Percy grinned and Oliver couldn't decide whether to laugh or be annoyed.

"Do you have any idea why the Monitor would send us here?" Annabeth asked and Oliver shook his head.

"Been wondering that since we got here. All I can think of is that he wants to punish me," Oliver said flippantly.

Suddenly, Oliver stopped, signaling for them to stop as well. They stopped, eying him oddly until they smelled it as well. Smoke.

Oliver signaled for them to move quietly as he followed the smell. The trio came upon a camp site, a make shift pyre smoking, as though someone had just put out a fire. Someone had been here, recently. Oliver signaled them to stay back as he approached the smoking pyre. He knelt down to examine it when his hair stood on end. Only thirteen years of experience prepared him for the arrow that came sailing towards him.

He caught it before someone rushed forward. The two changed blows as Percy uncapped his sword, rushing forward. Oliver tossed his opponent aside as Percy tried to attack with his sword but, to his surprise, it went right through the assailant. If she was surprised, she gave no indication as she sent a kick towards Oliver's face and he caught her foot easily. She jumped back and it was then, with the light from Percy's sword, that they were able to see each other clearly.

"Ollie?" she asked as she pulled back her hood, revealing the stunned face of Thea Queen.

"Hi Speedy," Oliver said warmly happy to see her.

A little later, the four of them sat around the fire, introductions having been made.

"So, you three have been traveling together?" Thea asked confused.

"It's a long story Speedy. Where'd you get that?" Oliver asked, gesturing to the bruise on Thea's left cheek.

"Athena," Thea said, taking Percy and Annabeth back.

"Excuse me?" Annabeth said confused.

"A member of the League of Assassins, or a former member at least. I'll explain later," Oliver promised before turning back to Thea. "Speaking of the League, I wasn't expecting to find you here alone. Where's Nyssa?"

"Thailand I think. After we destroyed the last Pit, she said she had some League business to take care of," Thea explained.

"You destroyed all the pits," Oliver said sounding proud and she nodded. "Why didn't you come home?"

"The Pits may be gone, but the Thanatos Guild isn't. I have to take them down after what they did to Roy," Thea said and Oliver nodded in understanding.

"Roy? Roy Harper?" Annabeth said and three pairs of eyes turned to her, seeing how she had tensed. "He's here?"

"No," Thea said after a moment turning back to Oliver. "He came back here six months ago, told me what happened, how he…killed those men."

"He's dealing with his own demons. He'll be back," Oliver said with certainty before looking over at Annabeth. "You know Roy?"

"No…no I don't," Annabeth said but it was clear she was holding something back. "I'm gonna go get more firewood."

Before any of them could argue, Annabeth got to her feet and walked into the forest.

"I'm gonna make sure she's okay," Percy said as he got to his feet, looking at Thea apologetically. "It was nice to meet you."

Percy ran after Annabeth and it was just the two of them.

"So what's going on Ollie? I'm pretty sure you didn't come back to this place just to see me," Thea said and Oliver didn't know where to start.

"A lot's happened Speedy," Oliver said, trying to find the words. "Last year, I made a deal with a cosmic being named Mar Novu. A few weeks ago, he came to collect. There's a Crisis coming, soon, something that threatens not just this earth, but the entire multiverse. He sent me, Percy and Annabeth here to get some kind of weapon and learn who our enemy is."

"There's more to it than that, isn't it?" Thea said knowingly and Oliver was silent. "Does it have something to do with Percy's glowing sword that passed right through me?"

"You saw that?" Oliver asked in surprise.

"Why wouldn't I?" Thea asked confused as Oliver processed this silently.

The Mist should have kept her from seeing that. Oliver would have considered that Thea might be a demigod like him, but Percy's sword would have definitely made contact if Thea was a demigod.

"She has clear sight Oliver."

Startled, the sibling turned as Annabeth and Percy walked back into the clearing, absent firewood. Apparently, Annabeth had changed her mind.

"Some mortals can see through The Mist. People like Percy's mother and Rachel, and like Thea as well, it seems," Annabeth continued as she and Percy walked back over. "We call them clear sighted."

"What Mist? What are you talking about?" Thea asked in confused as Oliver sighed.

"When Novu first came to collect, he sent me to find Percy and Annabeth," Oliver said and she looked back at her brother. "They were at a special Camp for people like them…and me. Demigods."

"Demigods?" Thea repeated.

"The stories about Poseidon, Zeus and all the Greek Gods, they're real Thea," Percy said gently. "My dad is Poseidon and Annabeth is Athena's daughter."

It was silent for a moment, Thea struggling to process this. The trio were silent as they waited for Thea to digest this. Then, she turned to Oliver.

"You said it was for people you to. Are you a …" Thea trailed off, not able to say it.

"It turns out, my mother is Artemis, goddess of the hunt," Oliver said, eying Thea worriedly. "You okay?"

"Are you? I mean this…" Thea trailed off, not sure what to call it.

"I know," Oliver said with a sigh. "I guess it's almost poetic. Five years ago I kept the secret about Merlyn from you and now I find out Mom kept the same thing from me."

"You did that because you felt like you were protecting. I didn't get that then, but I do now," Thea said and Oliver smiled weakly.

"Even so, I've been thinking a lot about that lately. I guess I could have handled it better," Oliver said with a sigh.

"I was too wrapped up in myself to understand or listen to you. No matter how you handled it, I probably would have reacted the same way," Thea said and it was silent for a few moments. "So this Mar Novu sent you guys here?"

"Yeah. He said we'd encounter an old ally. No offense Thea, I'm just not sure that's you," Percy said and Thea nodded.

"You said that you were looking for a weapon. Its Nanda Parbat, maybe it's something League related," Thea suggested.

"Maybe. But we still have no idea what we're looking for," Oliver noted.

"Is there anyone who could tell us if anything in the League has ties to the gods?" Annabeth inquired.

"We've kind of killed off every League member," Thea noted as Oliver's head rose.

"Maybe not," Oliver said and Thea, Annabeth and Percy looked over at him. "I can think of one more."

Ohio, next day

Morning

In the woods of Ohio, Barry sat up, the sounds of birds chirping waking him up. Looking over, Barry watched as, a few feet from him, Patty slept. Even on the ground, her face covered with dirt and her hair a mess, she still looked beautiful.

Bad thoughts, bad thoughts, Barry chided himself as he shook his head. He was married to Iris; nothing could happen between him and Patty. He cared about her, he always would, but they could never be more than friends.

"Hey," Patty said drowsily as she opened her eyes, awakened by the birds as well. "Something wrong?"

"No," Barry lied, hoping Patty wouldn't see right through. "Well…yeah. We'll have to head into town, get some supplies. We've got enough food for breakfast but that's it."

Patty nodded a grim look on her face as she sat up. When they began tracking the Minotaur, they had taken supplies, deciding it would help them track the beast if they were to live off the land. The monster would not go to into towns or publicized areas; it would stick to woods and dark areas, where it felt at home. As such, their best chance to find it was to do the same.

Patty seemed to have a sixth sense about the Minotaur, a feeling when they were getting close. It was something she attributed to her possession by Medea, that it gave her some kind of connection to the monster. This worried Barry but Imra had confirmed that Medea was gone. Still, Barry didn't like the thought of Patty being connected to the thing that had kidnapped her.

"We're close," Patty said, breaking Barry out of his thoughts. "I can feel it. It's not far."

"Then we need to be prepared," Barry said, hand almost instinctively going to the dagger in his jacket pocket. "Because if we make even one mistake, it could kill us both."

Nanda Parbat

Same time

"I thought you two were friends now," Thea said as she, Oliver, Percy and Annabeth walked towards some kind of shrine.

"It's complicated," Oliver said simply.

"Is that your answer for everything?" Percy asked.

"Usually," Thea noted, to Oliver's annoyance.

As the approached, several men and women dressed in black jumped out from where they had been hidden. Before Oliver or Thea could even go for their bows, several arrows show out. The men and women were struck by the arrows, crying out in pain as Oliver, Thea, Annabeth and Percy looked around in confusion.

"Enough!"

Talia al Ghul emerged, lowering his hood as several young woman wielding bows and arrows emerged from the trees.

"Talia al Ghul, our mistress has sent us to find you," a spiky, dark haired girl with electric blue eyes addressed Talia.

"Thalia," Percy called out and the girl looked over at them.

"Percy, Annabeth," Thalia Grace greeted pleasantly but her stance never relaxed. "It's good to see you two but this is Hunter business. Leave."

"We can't do that Thalia," Annabeth sad as she stepped forward. "We're on a quest and she might be the key to finishing it."

"Lady Artemis has decreed that we bring Talia al Ghul to her. I can't disobey her, even for my best friends," Thalia said firmly.

"No, you can't…but you can for the son of Artemis," Annabeth sad as she looked over at Oliver.

Oliver stepped forward, seeing all the Hunters eying him. He had heard all about the Hunters of Artemis from Annabeth and Percy. He had never imaged he would run into them on this quest though.

"My name is Oliver Queen. Artemis, goddess of the Hunt, your Patron, is my mother," Oliver declared before looking over at Talia, who eyed him curiously. "Talia al Ghul owes me a debt. Whatever business my mother has with her, it can wait until after she has paid it."

For a moment, it was silent as Thalia regarded Oliver. Then, slowly, she lowered her bow. Then, she got on one knee, bowing as the other Hunters followed suit, all of them bowing before Oliver.

"You are the son of our Mistress. Just as we have pledged ourselves to her, we Hunter pledge to assist you in whatever way you need," Thalia said.

Arrow 8x03 is one of the few episodes of season eight that is good for more than just nostalgia, as it perfectly ended Thea's character Arc. So I'm going to be doing my own version of it here, with some creative twists thrown in.

I hated Lyla's season eight Arc. Not only is it inconsistent with the character we have gotten to know over the last eight years, but now all previous scenes with Lyla are tainted because we have to wonder what is really her and what is her acting under the orders of The Monitor. So I'm not going to be doing that here.

I've wanted to bring in Thalia and the Hunters for a while and this was honestly the best spot to bring them in. Thalia is played by Maisie Williams, thank you to Aragorn II Elessar for his help with the casting.
