Everyone had just witnessed Meliodas stabbing Eret with his short sword right in the chest. Darkness began to cover the blade of the sword and Eret spat out some blood.

"Eret, no!" Heather yelled.

"Meliodas, please, stop this," Ruby begged.

Eret then grabbed hold of Meliodas' head and began to squeeze with all his might.

"Don't you touch me, human," said Meliodas.

He then fired a powerful burst of dark magic from his soul which went right through Eret's chest. Eret felt all the strength leave his body in collapsed backwards onto the ground.

"No way," said Heather stunned.

"Did Eret actually lose?" Fishlegs stared.

Ruby then looked at Ragnar pleadingly. "Please Ragnar, I need you to undo that spell, and I'll find some way to help."

"I'm sorry, but no," said Ragnar bluntly. "Meliodas is unhinged, you have to remember that he watched your death countless times through Hiccup's eyes as he failed to save you time and again. As a result, he is unable to suppress his dark power, his mind and memories have been completely eroded. If I were to release him from the compounds of the Perfect Cube, you wouldn't think twice about killing every single one of us."

"What about Hiccup?" Toothless gesturing to Hiccup's unconscious body in the crater.

"I don't know, I'm going to have to examine it more closely before I can make a determination," said Ragnar's eyes then turned towards the sky which was still cloudy. "It's almost noon."

"What?" Toothless frowned.

The dark clouds began to part, revealing the sun nearly at its zenith. The heat was now coming from Eret's body, and seconds later, he jumped back onto his feet looking completely unharmed.

"I'm warning you, come at me again like that, and you'll suffer," Meliodas warned.

Eret looked down his wounds was beginning to heal. "I hate to admit it, but you're absolutely right…" Suddenly his has muscles began to expand as well as his heights, and now he was roughly 7 feet tall. "…you are quite powerful, I'd say you're second only to Sir Hiccup."

The ground beneath Eret's feet began to melt on the ground started to break away due to his strength. He then slowly began making his way towards Meliodas with sword firmly in hand.

"Now what do you say we pick up where we left off?" Eret asked. He then raised his sword high into the air. "Super Slash!"

He slammed his blade right down on top of Meliodas with this much strength as he could put behind it. There was a massive explosion that rippled throughout the entire Perfect Cube, and when the dust finally settled, Meliodas had just punched Eret hard in the chest.

Everyone was utterly shocked as Eret fell to his knees and Meliodas placed his right foot on top of his face. "It seems that the only thing that changed was the way that you talk."

Eret coughed out some more blood.

"Not even Eret can defeat him?" Toothless stared.

"I find this difficult to believe as much as you, but his current power level is 140,000," said Astrid gravely. "But Meliodas, on the other hand, is an even more reading beast, he's at 142,000. It's only a matter of time before he kills Eret."

"Even though he powered up like crazy, that demon is still able to dominate him?" Heather stared bewildered.

"It should not come to any surprise, the only one who's ever stood the chances Hiccup and that was back in the old days," said Ragnar. "Meliodas was known as the hero of the Demon race back then and the one-time leader of the Ten Commandments."

Eret wasn't giving up as he immediately grabbed his sword and swung it, forcing Meliodas to retreat backwards. He then rose to his feet, and soon the two of them began to clash, and it looked as if they were evenly matched. Eret then slammed his sword down on top of Meliodas, who caught it with his bare hand and impact caused them to sink into the ground.

Eret then created a ball of fire within his left hand. "Cruel Sun!"

"Try Full-Counter!" Meliodas yelled and struck the fireball with his sword.

The moment it made contact with the blade, the fireball was bounced back towards Eret, who had to lean back in order to avoid it. The fireball collided with the Perfect Cube creating a small explosion which created a massive smokescreen them from view.

Ragnar then heard deep laughter. "That's right! One more push!"

Ragnar grimaced. 'That voice…'

Eret was unable to see Meliodas due to the smoke then suddenly he saw his sword spinning towards him. He then quickly blocked it with his own blade, but then Meliodas struck the palm of his hand with his knee disarming him. He then causes a blade and then swung it at Eret's waist, but when Meliodas looks back, he saw that his sword was gone. He turned and found that his sword was now stuck on the left side of Eret's waist.

Eret merely grasped the sword and pulled it out, with only a small amount of blood dripping from it. He then shut the blade behind him and then punched Meliodas right across the face. Meliodas then countered with a powerful uppercut which sent Eret crashing into the ceiling, and he began ricocheting off the walls before finally crashing to the ground.

Meliodas looked down at him and spat out a bit of blood. "That was kind of fun. Probably the most fun I had since facing up against my brother. Pretty impressive for a human, though nowhere in the same league as Hiccup, it's such a shame that I have to kill you."

"Dammit!" Snotlout cursed.

"How the world are we supposed to stop him?" Heather stared.

"You only has about a minute ago," said Ragnar.

Everyone looked at him, confused.

"Eret's power increases throughout the day along with the sunrise, reaching its peak potential at exactly high noon," Ragnar explained. "For one minute, he will be the manifestation of invincibility. He then becomes The One."

Meliodas walked towards his sword and pulled it out of the ground. He then turned around and saw Eret was back on his feet and he looked more powerful than ever. A bright burning aura was covering his body, and his muscles were expanding even more than before, he was now roughly 10 foot tall, and his muscles were so large that his shirt had been torn to pieces.

"You still have that up your sleeve, huh?" said Meliodas as he covered himself in darkness. He then launched himself at Eret a split second later he was directly behind him. "One Thousand Divine Cuts!"

Dark slashed then suddenly appeared Eret for several seconds, followed by a small explosion. However, when the smoke dispelled, Eret just stood there unphased.

"That almost tickles," he said.

Meliodas smiled and launched himself at him again.

Eret then merely raised his right hand, tucking his thumb into his palm and all his fingers stretched out as if his hand was a sword.

"Holy Sword Eret!" said Eret bringing his hand down.

Meliodas crashed into it, and a moments later the darkness around him around dispelled in a huge gash opened up across his chest. Everyone gasped at the sheer power that Eret had unleashed a few moments ago he had been struggling.

"You bastard!" Meliodas growled coughing out a large amount of blood.

Eret just simply towered above him. "Demon… God… or whatever you may be…" Meliodas then collapsed and landed face-first on the ground. "…how does it feel to lose to a human?"

The fight was now clearly over, and everyone was rushing over towards Eret. Ragnar snapped his fingers in the Perfect Cube encasing Eret and Meliodas vanished. Everyone immediately gathered around Hiccup, who was still in a deep coma.

Heather then looked at Ragnar. "Ragnar, what happened to the dimension of distortion that was surrounding Xeovell?"

"It's already been distinguished, it went down when Melascula was defeated," Ragnar explained. "Maybe they were connected?"

"Which means now we can infiltrate Xeovell now," said Astrid.

"But Hiccup is out cold may not be such a good idea," Fishlegs pointed out.

"We're retreating," said Ragnar as he used his magic to lift Meliodas into the air. "It's far too dangerous for us to leave him here."

"Ragnar at least give me the chance to heal his wounds first," said Ruby.

"No, if you did, he would attack you immediately, who would be able to hold him back then?"

"But Eret can take him down," said Tuffnut.

"Yeah, tell them, big guy," said Ruffnut giving Eret a gentle pat on the back.

Eret then suddenly, class face-first into the ground.

Everyone just stared openmouthed at Ruffnut, who was quite stunned herself as she looked at her hand.

"He's out cold!" Fishlegs yelled.

"After what he went through I would collapse as well," said Toothless.

Tuffnut looked at his sister. "Does this mean you're all-powerful now?"

Ruffnut smiled at him. "Do you really want to find out?"

"Heather, would you be so kind as to carry Hiccup and Eret for us?" Ragnar asked politely.

Heather did as she was told, and soon they all began making their way back to the Black Dragon, but Shanna stopped when she saw Snotlout had stopped in his tracks.

"Hey, what's the matter?" she asked, floating towards him. "Come on; let's catch up to the others… Snotlout."

"I… I couldn't do a thing," he said frustratingly. "I was helpless and just stood there!"

He then slammed his hand onto the bridge cracking in stone surface. Shanna then placed a gentle hand over his and looked into his eyes.

"Stop it, there's no way he would say that way," she said hugging him. "You know that, don't you?"

In the Black, Dragon Ragnar had examined both Hiccup and Eret and began telling his findings to the others.

"To be honest with you, this is a grave situation," he said. "Eret has sustained critical damage. Sunshine is too potent as a magic power, he must have been exacting the toll that had been building up for years all at once. And Hiccup's condition is even more dire because that is a motion been taken away by the Demon King and has placed himself in a deep hibernation so not to endanger all of us. Of course, I immediate concern should be Meliodas, I can only imagine the rage that had been building up inside of him as he watched Hiccup failing to save Ruby countless times."

As if on cue, Meliodas sat up, but Ragnar was ready for this. "Shocks Stinger!"

He then blasted Meliodas with a burst of electricity. Clearly, he was still rather shaken with his battle with Eret, and the attack was enough to knock him unconscious once again.

"Meliodas!" Ruby cried, rushing over to him. She then looked at Ragnar with a pleading look. "Please, no more."

"Get out of the way Ruby, I'm locking Meliodas inside a Perfect Cube for safety," he said.

"But that's not going to solve anything!"

"Step away, we don't have a second lose! While we stand here arguing, Meliodas is using his dark powers to heal his wounds."

"Given the chance, please Ragnar I know Hiccup would do the same."

Ragnar shook his head firmly. "I'm not Hiccup, he must be isolated now!"

"Fine then… then lock me up with him."

"You're kidding?"

Everyone just stared at her bewildered.

"Now just hang on a minute," said Toothless. "If you stay with him, then you will be a goner for sure Ruby."

"Ruby, your father gave us the task of protecting you, and we can't do that if you're locked up," said Ruffnut.

"Yeah, please don't do this," said Tuffnut.

"I'll be all right, don't worry," Ruby assured them. "With the magic power I have now, I can at least make sure that he does not get any worse."

Ragnar looked at her knee could tell that she was serious and nothing he said would be unable to dissuade her. "Fine… I'll do it."

Ruby smiled at him. "I'm grateful. Thank you."

The Perfect Cube then surrounded both her and Meliodas.

"Now listen," said Ragnar with his arms folded and looking at her seriously. "I'll be watching over you at all times, just in case… understood?"

"But that means that neither you nor Ruby will be able to fight with the rest of us," said Heather. "So what are we supposed to do now?"

"We'll keep on heading towards Xeovell," said Astrid in a commanding voice. "Our plan is the same, liberate the kingdom from the Ten Commandments rule followed by rescuing the captured citizens of Berk."

"Also bear in mind now that Ruby has regained her memories of her formal life, she now only has three days to live meaning there is no time to waste," Ragnar added. "We should be able to reach Xeovell in two days. While Eret is recovering, I need to come up with a way to restore Hiccup's memories and a way to calm Meliodas."

"In the meantime, it's highly possible that Zeldris and his demonic minions could attack us," Astrid added. "Which means it'll be up to the of us to keep up the fight."

Snotlout was sitting next to Shanna while she laid in bed, he himself was in no fit state to fight. This meant that the only ones capable of defending them from attacks were Astrid, Heather and Fishlegs.

"I'm really getting worried about Ruby," said Heather as they stood on the balcony. "Hiccup and Eret will get better too, right?"

Fishlegs really wish he had an answer, was entirely possible for Eret to recover however it remained to be seen whether the same would be said for Hiccup.

"To be honest things don't look good for Hiccup, but I'm still hoping for the best, and you shouldn't give up hope either," said Astrid.

Fishlegs nodded. "Whatever it takes we will protect the others to the very end."

"Yeah!" Heather nodded.

Fishlegs then pulled out the remains of his helmet. "Just like you did Tarragon. You were willing to sacrifice yourself to save us."

Skull meanwhile was still standing out Xeovell, but so far he had found no trace of Gustav.

"I've done three flyovers and still no trace of him," Skull sighed. "To make matters worse, Ragnar is having problems of his own."

Then he suddenly saw dashing across the field was a green-skinned demon with a centipede-like body, muscular in build, with four arms, and snail-like eye stalks. It also had ten legs shaped like arms and had human-like noses and lips.

"Great, a demon on patrol," said Skull as he retreated into the trunk of a fallen down free. His eyes and suddenly widened this is all the Demon was heading straight towards him. "And it looks like he's coming this way!"

Suddenly a split second later the Demon was split in half, and Skull saw standing there was Gustav with sword in hand. Skull noticed that he was carrying a legless cat in his satchel, but Skull didn't really care about it and was more focused on Gustav.

"Skull, it's been a while," he said as he sheathed his sword.

"Gustav, I finally found you or perhaps it was you who found me," said Skull as he flew over to him.

"There are even more Demons lurking around here so let's go somewhere else," said Gustav.

Skull followed Gustav until they reached a bunch of rocks, he then bent down and opened a secret door in the ground. The door was completely covered in dirt so unless you knew where it was you wouldn't be able to find it.

"Right this way, just follow me," said Gustav.

With that, he began climbing down, and Skull quickly followed him as he closed the door behind them. Once they reached the bottom, Gustav immediately ran down a hidden passageway.

"Slow down!" Skull yelled as he flew around the corner.

He then blamed when he found Gustav had vanished which was filled with countless passageways.

Gustav then popped his head from the corner of one of these passageways. "This way!"

"It's like a maze down here," said Skull as he followed him. "I suppose it's a good way to throw off enemies."

"I do hope that Sir Ragnar is doing all right, though considering who we're talking about I'm sure he's just fine," said Gustav confidently.

Skull knew full well the difficulties that Ragnar was facing and couldn't bring himself, to tell the truth. "Oh, I'm sure that he'll be here soon."

"That's good," said Gustav as they reached the end of the passageway which led to a set of large wooden doors.

He then opened them wide and inside was a chamber field with people with wide smiles on their faces the moment he entered.

"The King has returned!"

A bunch of children then immediately rushed over towards Gustav excitedly.

"King Gustav, you're back!"

A woman then approached Gustav. "Your Highness, I hope that you're not hurt are you?"

"No, I just got a little dirty, that's all," Gustav smiled.

"Thank goodness!"

"It's nice to see that so many people are safe," said Skull.

"Hey, isn't that Sir Ragnar's familiar?"

"Yes, he certainly here in order to find our King and try to keep them out of trouble," said Skull.

"Not doing a good job so far," said the cat.

"Like you've done a better job!" Skull snapped.

"Cath, leave him alone," said Gustav as he removed his cape.

"Just pointing out the obvious," said Cath.

"What manner of creature are you anyway?" Skull asked curiously.

A man then approached Gustav. "Sire, I'm sure you're exhausted. We've prepared you dinner."

"Thank you, I'm starving," said Gustav.

Soon everyone was sitting down having dinner, which was stew and eating many of the people began dancing and playing music.

"It's like they don't have a care in the world," said Skull looking at all of them. "Don't they realise what's happening in the capital? The humans who have been brainwashed are either being eaten by the demons or being offered as sacrifices to break the Angel Race's seal."

"Oh, they know," Gustav sighed. "Deep down inside they're all in pain, each one has been torn away from their families and friends. Some have lost them for good, but that is why they are making an effort to be cheerful they needed or otherwise it's just too painful."

"I see you have completed your reconnaissance," said a voice behind him.

Stepping out of the shadows was that swordsman from another land named Nanashi.

"Sir Nanashi," said Gustav.

"The seal appears to be growing weaker day after day," Nanshi informed him. "55 of them came calling out, and that was only a few hours ago."

"Not to worry I exterminated twice as many," Gustav assured him as he rose to his feet.

"Excellent work, Gustav. In the last few months, it seems you have come a long way."

"Thank you, but honestly it's all due to your teachings, sir."

"I believe the time has now come to set our plan into motion."

Everyone's eyes widened and began talking amongst themselves whatever this plan was it was definitely something big.

Gustav was almost speechless. "So… at last…"

"Hang on! Please tell me you're not planning to head to Xeovell together!" said Skull in utter bewilderment. "That would be suicide!"

"I'm the only one who's going there, and I plan on taking back the kingdom all by myself," said Gustav confidently.

Skull stared at him. "You're going to storm the castle all by yourself? The demons crawling around cattle aren't the only problem you'll be facing. Zeldris of the Ten Commandments is there, and he's the most powerful daemon there is… they call him the Execution!"

"Once I retrieve it, the rest should be easy," said Gustav confidently.

Skull looked at him, confused. "It?"

"The Holy Sword… Endeavour!"

Zeldris was inside the castle looking down at the sword that was trapped within the stone. It was very elegant looking beautiful golden hilt, he attempted to pull it out, but it wouldn't budge an inch.

'It won't budge, there is magic sword only submits to the wielded it sees as the chosen one,' he said, looking annoyed. 'No… this is nothing like demonic power at all which means…'

He released his grip on the sword and then suddenly a dark cloud appeared over his head.

"Zeldris… my representative… my son," said a deep booming voice.

"Yes, father, what is it?" Zeldris asked, looking up at the cloud.

"I have got news," said the Demon King.

"Oh, go on, then, tell me," said Zeldris curiously.

"The Demon King shower awaken," he said.

Zeldris' eyes widened in shock. "So you're finally going to breakthrough? But how? This deal is seal blocking the Gateway."

"Not high," said the Demon King and then shows him an image of Meliodas trapped inside of the Perfect Cube with Ruby. "I am referring to the one you should have succeeded me as my rightful heir."

Zeldris couldn't believe that Meliodas was now free. "No way, but how? You mean that, traitor?"

The Demon King chuckled. "Enough of that, you are to step aside and welcome your elder brother as the new King of the Demon Race."

Zeldris couldn't believe his ears. "I don't believe it, that's just…"

"I shall now issue my command go for and bring back Meliodas."
