Levi set down his Earl Grey tea with a content sigh. Closing his eyes, he enjoyed the silence in the room.

A quiet cooing from the top of his bookshelf caught his attention. The owl key chain he had on his camera turned into a real owl. It fluffs his feathers, cooing at Levi before settling on the top of the shelf and drifted to sleep.

"Tired of being a keychain?" Levi asked the owl. The bird let out a small coo in reply and closed its eyes.

Levi chuckled. His apartment doesn't allow pets but maybe he could get away with this magical owl.

Eyeing the camera on his nightstand, Levi stood and took it before turning to his seat. He browsed the pictures he took during his trip to Egypt, smiling fondly at the memories. The first few were him, Hange and Erwin's crew before they aboard the plane then afterward, in the hotel. And the rest were pictures of Eren.

Levi smiled as he skimmed on the photos only to stop at a specific picture. It was Eren as a beast. Or more like the face of the beast was layered over Eren's smiling face but faded.

After all the times he spent with Eren, he learned that he's not bad at all. Only sad and lonely.

He turned to the closed door, feeling guilty for making Eren wait for so long. Now that he noticed it, it was indeed peaceful without the Pharoah Alpha. But as the clock ticks, Levi discovered how empty and lonely his life before he went to Egypt. Eren turned his apartment into a home and he always made sure that Levi's happy all the time.

"I should be grateful," he reminded himself. After Eren learned the ropes in cooking, the Alpha cooked his lunch box, meals, brew him tea, and cleaned his apartment. Eren was the perfect husband material any Omega could wish for, plus, he's hot as fuck.

Now that Levi finally had some alone time to set his thoughts. He couldn't deny that things would be hard now that he's pregnant but he figured that he shouldn't worry so much. He had a magical Alphan Pharoah on his side that would do everything for him.

"Yeah," Levi nodded. "Stress is bad for me."

He stood from his seat and put away his camera. Eren's everything anyone could wish to marry, the Alpha was perfect with magic and all but he only pledge to serve Levi. The raven close his eyes for a second and took a deep breath. Maybe he should fully open his heart to the brunette, he knew there'll be a few bumps on the way but he figured he could handle it.

"The fuck is wrong with me?" He scolded himself. "The only Alpha in the world is kissing my feet and here I am acting like a dick."

He planned that maybe he should accept Eren's invitation when he asked him out to eat dinner in a restaurant. Just recalling how Levi turned down Eren's sweet invitation made him feel like an ungrateful bitch. The simple reminder of how Eren asked him out spikes his heart rate.

"Is this what they called... love?" Levi asked himself, clutching his hands on his chest. After reading all those romance novels in the library, he got an idea. To his defense, Eren's not bad, and he cleans well and he's cute too and-

Levi shook his head, he could feel the warmth in his cheeks just by listing down Eren's qualities. But there's one quality that Levi ignored liking from the moment his Omegan side got used to Eren's presence.

Eren's an Alpha. And it made Levi's inner instincts melt at the simple idea. Levi ignored it at first, but as the days go by and Eren kept doting on him, his instincts let themselves known. Poking Levi every minute at work, even in sleep. Eren's scent was no longer suffocating unlike before and his presence made Levi feel safe. Or maybe he's just pregnant and just as Armin said, he would crave for his partner. Levi would never know for sure if Eren was still outside.

Walking towards the door, he decided to let the Alpha in. "Eren, you can come in now-" Levi paused when he heard the brunette's voice on the end of the hallway. He left the door ajar, just enough so he could listen silently to the conversation. Eren seemed to be talking to someone.

"Eren," said a girl's voice "It's nice to see that you are doing good as well but... when do you think this black magic will end?"

"I... I'm not sure..."

"It's just that all my life I've seen the scenario of how you killed me and then having all my memories intact is not that fun... I want to end this somehow and live a new leaf."

Levi's brows furrow at the conversation that he was eavesdropping. He had no idea what the girl was talking about.

"Eren killed her and she remembers?" The raven Omega whispered, utterly confused.

"The Gods must have planned this." The girl continued.

"I thought so too, Mikasa and Jean recently moved in."

The girl gasped.

"If this is what the Gods had planned," Levi can feel the sadness lancing in Eren's voice. "There is a possibility that the black magic is slowly dying down. That means... I'll die."

Levi felt his entire body shook with dread. And his heart sunk painfully in his chest.

'Eren's dying? No, that can be.' Levi prayed. "No, no, no, please no."

"Eren?" Levi finally stepped out of the doorway letting his presence known. Blue-stormy eyes landed first on the girl then he switched his gaze to his Alpha.

"Levi," Eren froze. Not sure of what to say if Levi heard all of their conversations. He's not planning on hiding secrets from his mate but this was not the right time. He's not 100% sure that meeting his friends before and Historia was a sign that his magic was wilting away.

"You're his mate?" The girl asked.

"You're dying?" Ignoring the girl, Levi took a step forward.

"Levi, no- um, listen-" Eren panicked.

"You said that your magic is dying which means you'll wither away just like that?" Levi hiccuped. The raven felt a landslide topple over him. The thought of losing Eren after noticing how bland and boring his life without the brunette made his heartache.

"No-"

All of them paused when the couple next door came from the stairs. They were both betas, the female with pale skin and black shoulder-length hair politely waved at them.

"Who's stuff is this?" The male with two-toned hair with a face similar to a horse poked the box on the hallway with his shoe.

"Oh, that's mine! Sorry!" The blonde Omega gave them a pleasant smile and approached them. "Hi, I'm Historia. I just moved in."

When the two newcomers turned to Levi, he gave them a polite nod before he took Eren's hand and dragged the brunette inside their apartment.

Closing the door behind him, Levi rested his forehead on the hard wood. "Is it true? Are you really going to..."

"No," Eren quickly went to him and hug him from the back. "I'm not even sure how the black magic ends but I promise that I will never leave you. Ever."

"Really?" Levi almost whined as he leans on the brunette. "You won't disappear on me?"

"Never. I promise."

"Okay, but who is that Omega?" Levi turned to face him. "I heard that... you killed her?"

Eren frowned. "Yes... She was my bride. Back then, I thought that, in order to get my way I..."

"Eren," Levi wrapped his arms around the brunette torso and squeezed him tightly. "It's okay, I know and I understand."

Levi doesn't need to know all the details from Eren, he already got a summary of what happened thanks to Hange.

"I swear to the stars, Levi. I regretted everything that I did. The wars, the bloodshed, held into magic, even raping you." Eren sobbed and leaning on the raven. Returning the embrace. "I'm sorry."

If he was a crazy historian, Levi would take this opportunity to interview the Pharoah, write down everything, and published it. But no, it was clear that Eren felt horrible thinking all the things he did before.

Levi pressed his lips and pulled back to face the brunette. "Look, the past is in the past. And after sitting down in the library, I researched more about the Alpha dynamic. I don't blame you for what you did."

"You don't?" Eren sniffed and whine like a puppy being scolded. "I made you angry though."

"In that situation, anyone could get angry. But... You're an Alpha Eren and I'm an Omega. Your rut forced you too and my instincts, well... what do you expect? I lived in the age where there's no Alpha," Levi calmly explained, reaching his hand to wipe away the tears from the brunette eyes. "I forgive you and what you did before? They are all in the past, heck, thousands of years ago. I understand. Let's just focus on the present. Okay?"

"Okay," Eren nodded with a small smile. "Thank you, Levi. That means a lot to me."

"But... That girl, she remembers you?" Levi went back to the topic at hand.

"I guess, I'm not the only one who held into black magic then." Eren let out a long tired sigh.

They both move to their small dining table while Eren explained everything to Levi with a bowl of ice cream in front of them. The raven was silent while the brunette talks, despite the seriousness of the topic, Levi would sometimes half listen and just admired the Alpha's voice. The raven only noticed how beautiful Eren's voice was. Cool and calming and now that they are alone, the brunette was giving off his Alpha scent. Letting Levi relax and removing all the stress that he had experienced earlier and made his Omega instincts purr in satisfaction.

When Eren finished, he helped himself with two spoonfuls of ice cream and waited for Levi to say something.

"So... Does Historia hate you? Because if she's going to attack you because of what you did years ago, then she had to go through me," Levi gritted his teeth, ready to punch anyone that crosses his path.

Eren perked up, surprised to hear that from Levi. He half expected that raven would ask about his hunch, that his magic was dying out, Eren still doesn't have an answer for that. He's not even sure if his hunch was correct. "No, don't worry. She said she got over it and she's happy to see me doing well."

"Huh," Levi huffed. "I see... how about your magic and stuff?"

Eren took a deep breath and smiled. He knew Levi would ask about it. "It's just my hunch. I know how to start this but I don't know how to end it or how it can end itself." Things were different now compared to before. Back then, Eren could ask for signs and messages from the gods through rituals performed on sacred grounds. If the Pharaoh would attempt to communicate with the gods at this generation, he had to find the sacred grounds. And probably they are all rubbles in the dessert.

"Well, okay!" Levi straightened and faced the brunette with authority. "Eren, I remembered that you pledged yourself to me, right?"

"Yes, and I'm more willing to kiss your shoes if you ask me to." The brunette proudly smiles.

"Okay, gross but listen closely because this an order from your Queen."

Eren's emerald eyes widen like saucers when Levi finally refered to himself as Eren's queen. The brunette doesn't think his heart could beat any faster than this. "Yes, my Queen?"

"I order you to never, ever die on me," Levi croaked but he pulled himself together. "You understand?!"

That put a smile on Eren's face and warmed his heart. "Yes, my Queen."

"Okay," Levi cleared his throat. Turning away from the beaming Pharoah. Now that's done, Levi wanted to go back to his initial plan. "You... um, you ask me to eat in a restaurant this morning... right?"

"Yes... But it's okay! We don't have to go if you don't want to-"

"Let's go."

Eren blinked then his lips stretched in a huge smile. "Wait, really?"

"Yes, what restaurant was it? Wall Rose?" Levi asked, noting how much Eren had a smile in front of him today. The Pharaoh does have a beautiful smile. If Levi met Eren like normal, he could dismiss the thought of having the brunette as his. Eren's handsome and he got the charm to be one of those hot models in the magazines. Levi's way out of his league but... Eren's here with him. Smiling and always happy when he's around.

"Um, yes!" Eren beamed. "They are just across the street, they serve these healthy dishes that will be beneficial for you and the baby."

Levi blinked at him. "Huh?"

"I've done a lot of research so I can take good care of you," Eren supplied proudly with a big smile. "And if it's alright, can I come with you to the library tomorrow? I want to read more about baby books."

Levi felt his cheeks grew warm and his heartbeat erratically. "O-of course, I was reading baby books the majority of the day. I can recommend you some good ones."

"Thank you, I appreciate it. The library is so big, I feel like the books are going to devour me every time I stayed longer," he joked.

"Nonsense," Levi chuckled, this was not the first time he heard someone said that about the library. Mostly, teenagers whined about it when they were forced to go to the library by their professors. "I promise, those books haven't eaten anyone since I was hired."

"What about before you work there?"

"We'll never know," Levi shook his head. "Anyways, Rose Wall... it's on the fancy side so, if we are going to dinner I think we need to wear something formal."

"Formal... All I can think about is rodes and gold but I also read about suits. Do we need to wear suits?" Eren asked, his emerald green eyes drifted at one of the magazines on Levi's bookshelf. The top one shows a Beta and Omega models, wearing suits.

"Yeah, but... Eren have you bought clothes for yourself?" Levi glanced at his wardrobe, recalling that Eren had bought him clothes more than he could wear but none for the brunette.

"It's okay, I can use my magic," Eren reasoned.

"Hmmm... You think that your magic is dying because you keep using them?" Levi guessed. He read a lot of fantasy books and figured that that mostly happened.

"I'm... I'm not sure about that..."

"It could be, so how about we go shopping for your clothes after dinner?"

"Levi, you really don't have to-"

"Eren, please. I can't take off the idea that without your magic, you're walking around naked."

Eren suddenly felt his face heats up. "Well- um, that's-"

"Also, I love the clothes you bought for me but I still don't have suits," Levi went to his dresser and started pulling out random clothes. "We'll buy suits, go to dinner, shop and site see afterwards. How's that?"

"Sounds like a great plan to me."

"Not bad," Levi raked his eyes on Eren form from top to bottom when the brunette got out of the fitting room.

"T-Thank you," Eren stuttered shyly. Standing stiffly on his black suit, with a white dress shirt, paired it with a dark green necktie. "You look beautiful too!"

"Really?" Levi smirked and gave him a twirl. "Notice anything?"

Eren admired the raven in his black suit with white broken lines on the fabric. His mate was stunning as ever. "You're beautiful," he said like a love-struck idiot.

Levi chuckled and approached the brunette. "Take a closer look," he whispered, seductively.

Eren held his breath when Levi stepped into his space with those beautiful blue-stormy eyes of his. Eren had to shake his head off the cloud to follow what the raven said. He squinted at Levi's suit and discovered that the white broken lines were actually small words. Eren gaped. It says "FUCK YOU".

Levi giggled when he finally got the reaction he wanted from the brunette. "Nice, right?"

Eren chuckled. "I didn't expect that."

"I've always wanted to go here and buy this suit," Levi straighten his new suit with a pure smile, like a child that just got what he wanted from Christmas. He pulled out his card from his wallet with a grin. With all the money he got from Erwin, Levi allowed himself to use some of it on things that he badly wanted for so long. "I can't believe I'm wearing this suit now!"

"You really look good." Eren couldn't get his eyes off his mate as he paid for their suits. Levi looked good in feminine clothes, even in his usual baggy-nerdy outfit but seeing the raven in a fitting suit, Eren was smitten.

While waiting for their receipt, Levi stepped closer to the brunette, lowering his voice. "We have to go to the pharmacy to get some scent blockers."

"Scent blockers?"

"Yeah, some Omegas used them because their scent is too potent. Maybe it could work with you so that you don't have to use your magic every time we go out."

"I appreciate that."

They both went to the closest pharmacy after they left of the store. Eren felt a little embarrassed with all the people looking at them while they waited for their turn in the pharmacy because of their outfits. While Levi proudly shows off his new suit, when someone got a closer look at the pattern on his outfit and faced the raven with either shock or disapproval, Levi smirked at their faces.

Once they got scent blockers and bottled water, they both stood on corner alley next to Rose Wall while Levi let Eren take the pills.

Levi eyed his wristwatch and after five minutes, he looked up at the brunette.

"Okay," he glanced out of the alley to make sure the streets were cleared as of now. "Can you try it?"

Eren took a deep breath and closed his eyes shut. Stopping his magic at will from masking his Alphan scent. And they both waited. Levi had to stand on his tiptoes and dare to take sniff at the Pharaoh.

"So?" Eren cracked an eye open.

"Success! You don't smell anything!" Levi cheered quietly. Smelling Eren in his bland beta scent drove the raven's instincts mad, Levi prefered if the Pharoah doesn't smell anything.

"Great," Eren finally let out the breath he was holding. He was relieved to know that scent blockers work, using his magic to mask his scent every time he goes out of their home was exhausting. But now, he could finally enjoy being outside with his mate.

"So?" Levi took the Pharoah's hand on his with a smile. "Ready your ancient palate for some classy and modern food!"
