17 – Relationships & Bishops
So I've waited a bit to see votes come in, and I've seen that everyone wants Akeno to stay with Takeda, so that means Rossweisse stays with Issei. A good portion of this chapter could be seen as filler, as the title alone tells you whats going to happen. Some relationship building, and Dio reincarnated. The chapter after this, we're going to be meeting a very influential character to Takeda, another person from his past, and a very well known person involved in the Great War. Other than that, I have nothing else to say. So, let's get to it!

Takeda laid in bed staring at the cieling. He had already fully woken up, but his thoughts were too preoccupied. The talk he had with his mother yesterday was still in his mind, and the words she spoke practically haunted his dreams. It was almost like they were making him relive his past all over again. He knew he should be upset with his mother. She took away his memories and powers. Who wouldn't be upset? But...after hearing her explanation, he knew he was right to not be upset.
"You know more than anyone how dangerous our clan is, especially against anyone they see as enemies. That includes hybrid like you and myself, Takeda. The only reason I was safe was because of the power I wield."
"I've made many enemies, Takeda! Do you not think any of those enemies wouldn't get to you to get to me!? I wouldn't put my child in such danger!"
"You are strong, my little pup, but you need to become much stronger. Much, much stronger. For you must be able to defend yourself, before you can defend anyone else."
Takeda took in a deep breath of air, knowing she was right. His training would need to become much faster and tougher. He needed to be prepared for anything, and he means anything. Suddenly, a knock was heard at the door, making Takeda lean up a bit.
"Takeda, are you awake?" The voice of Seilah spoke from the other side.
"Yeah, I'm up." He called out, as the door opened. Seilah stood there in a simple pair of short shorts and a black tank top, with a simple white apron on over it. She also has on dark blue slippers. Like usual, her horns are hidden away with magic, but her beauty was the same either way. "What do you need, Seilah?" He asked, as she held her hand in front of her, the other bashfully held against her hair.
"W-Well, I was about to start on breakfast, but I thought...you could help me out? I mean..." She turned away from looking him in the eyes, suddenly finding the floor very interesting. "We haven't had that much time to truly get to know one another, so I thought we could do so now. U-Unless you have plans, then it's fine."
"No, no it's fine." Takeda sat up fully, running a hand through his hair. "Just give me some time to get ready, and I'll be down. You're welcome to get started without me if you'd like." The look of happiness that overcame her face wasn't difficult to see, as a bright smile came over her face.
"Y-Yes!" It didn't take long for Seilah to leave, heading back downstairs to get started. Takeda stared at the doorway for a few moments, before chuckling.
"For some reason, I don't know why I found that as cute as I did." He stated to himself, shrugging his shoulders as he got up to get on a fresh pair of clothes. He slowly walked downstairs, hearing Seilah's humming in the kitchen. She seemed to only be getting out ingrediants, as she pulled spices out from the pantry and shelves. He made his presence known by knocking the wall as he walked closer, Seilah turning to him with a slight blush.
"S-Sorry..." She muttered, placing down a can of salt. Takeda shook his head with a chuckle.
"Don't be, you have a lovely voice Seilah. Don't be embarrassed about it." He stated as he looked over the ingrediants she got out. The salt, black pepper, paprika. Also on the counter top was a bottle of olive oil and a carton of eggs. There was also a bag of bread sat near the toaster. "Eggs and some toast. Pretty simple, but good nonetheless."
"Yeah. I didn't want to do anything too complicated today, I hope you don't mind." Seilah said, before she felt Takeda's hand on her head, rubbing her hair affectionately.
"It's the best thing you could have picked actually. I'm not the best with cooking, and making scrambled eggs is the most I can do. Before you all came along, I was mostly getting takeout dinners." Takeda explained, seeing the blush across Seilah's face before he removed his hand. "Then...shall we get started?" He asked, gesturing to the ingrediants. She grew a smile, as she nodded and the two got to work.
Takeda stood by the stove, mixing away at the egg yolk in the pan, adding in the spices in the correct order. Salt, then the black pepper, and finally the paprika when the eggs were now scrambled. Seilah had the toast put in and finished, before making fresh orange juice from the oranges in the fridge. The two would make conversation over the entire time, learning more and more of one another, before a thought came to mind.
"So, Seilah." Takeda called out, as he plated each with an even amount of eggs.
"Yes, what is it?"
"I don't wanna sound rude, but you said you were created by Naberius, correct?" He asked, turning to her for a second. Her eyes turned downward, as she nodded.
"That's right. I was a being made by demons blood, created to serve. I was always tasked with deeds that made me out to be a criminal, and I didn't enjoy it. But I was created by him. He gave me life, and I had to take the orders. If anything, I'm just as terrible as he was-"
"Don't say that." Takeda interupted her, as her eyes met his. "The actions Naberius made were of his own accord, and besides...you had no where to go, what other choice did you have? The person I've known for this last month and a half isn't some criminal with a thirst of evil intentions. You're kind and hard working, willing to do whatever it takes to secure the safety of those around you. Don't ever forget that, Seilah." Takeda stated with a warm smile on his face, the demoness holding a light blush on her face, her eyes widened at his proclamation.
Slowly, a smile came over her own face, as she nodded towards Takeda.
"I won't, I promise." He nodded back, before finishing plating.
"Good. Do me a favor and wake the others, we don't won't all this food going cold." Seilah nodded, taking off her apron and running up the stairs. Takeda let out a chuckle, shaking his head. 'Good job, getting another girl to feel some way about you, without even meaning to. Well...I suppose I'm not all too upset about it.' He thought to himself, moving the plates to the large dining table. He knew that Rias had already left for the day, going to show Sirzechs around town, so he didn't have to make a plate for her.
The only other ones in the house were Kuroka, Taimou, Mirajane, and Raynare. So, a total of 5 plates. He did recieve a message from Venelana, stating she would be moving in soon, but he knew that wasn't today.
Soon enough, everyone was in the dining room enjoying their breakfast. Both Kuroka and Raynare were munching away happily, while Mirajane ate slowly with small bags under her eyes. Takeda knew she was going strong in training, but he didn't want it affecting her mental healthy either.
"Say, Takeda?" Raynare called out to him, taking him out of his thoughts. "Is it true? There's going to be a meeting held between the three factions soon?" She asked. Takeda almost forgot that he hadn't really told them about it. With a sigh, he nodded his head, leaning back in his chair.
"That's right. Since we were involved in the fight against Kokabiel, we'll have to be there. At the same time though..." Takeda leaned forward, holding his hands together in front of him. "...This meeting could possibly be peace between the three biblical factions of Devils, Angels, and Fallen Angels. Though, there is a fourth faction that wants apart of this peace treaty." Takeda stated, Kuroka looking him in the eyes.
"The Youkai Faction?"
"The West Youkai Faction, at least. Led by Yasaka and located in Kyoto, that's the main reason Yasaka came to Kuoh, since the meeting will be held here." Takeda stated, as he remember the seperate Youkai factions. While the West Faction was located in kyoto, the East Faction was located in the Kanto region of Japan. That...and it is his clan that leads the Faction. It was once led by a Youkai by the name of Nurarihyon. The Lycan Youkai wanted control of the Faction, and thus a battle was held between the two men. Nurarihyon against Takeda's great grandfather.
His great grandfather waas victorious and the Lycan Youkai took lead of the Eastern Faction. His great grandfather was a great leader, loved by all, but...He was killed by an unknown source, a source no one has been able to figure out. Then, his grandfather took control and things seemed to turn downhill. It all went this way since his grandfather is much more arrogant and prideful of his race. His name was cursed and slurred by thoses apart of the faction, but no one could deny his level of power.
'That man...'
For the next few hours, Takeda was located in the underground training center with Mirajane and Taimou. The two were sparring, whilst Takeda overwatched, making sure neither went too far. For the most part, Mirajane had focused on her magic abilities, so he wanted her to spar with Taimou who showed great promise in hand to hand combat. Not only that, but he had great skill with a blade, as seen in their past fights when he was still under control.
Why was he thinking of these things? The High Class tests were coming up for himself and Issei, and he was already planning out his peerage. There was obviously people like Erza, who he had already asked, but he wanted to plan the other pieces as well. Only when he got his evil pieces would he actually ask them.
His attention was brought back to the sparring match in front of him, as Taimou threw a punch, only for Mirajane to manuever her arms around his, before dragging him down to the mat, holding him down with a knee pressed against the neck. She held him there a few moments, before he tapped her leg, signaling defeat.
She got off of him, before helping him up. Takeda watched with crossed arms, a small smirk on his face.
"Well, we can definitely say your hand to hand combat is exceptional. A few adjustments here and there, but overall, your form is incredible." Takeda praised, as Mirajane adjusted her gloves.
"Thank you, Takeda. I can practically feel my strength returning to me." She stated, making Takeda nod.
"That's good. It shows you're progressing well." Takeda said, before turning to his half-brother. He immediately saw the downwards look on his face. "Don't look so beat, Taimou. Everyone has someone that is better than them. It just means you need to become stronger, and the best way is through practice and training." Takeda advised, ruffling Taimou's hair. The white haired boy blushed at the contact, pushing away the hand with a huff.
"So embarrassing..." He muttered, making Takeda let out a laugh.
"That's my job as your older brother, to embarrass you whenever I get the chance." Takeda stated, as Mirajane watched with a small smile, before it turned sad. "Well Taimou, go ahead and get freshened up, we'll talk later." Taimou nodded, jogging up the stairs as Takeda turned to Mirajane. He immediately saw the look on her face, tapping his middle and pointer finger against her forehead.
"A-Ah!"
"You okay there? You're spacing out." He stated, as she put on another smile. "Don't try it, Mira. Trying to hide stuff from me usually isn't a good thing." He said, motioning for her to sit next to him on one of the benches nearby. "Now, you wanna tell me what's got you looking down, or am I overstepping?" Takeda asked. Mira sighed, as she held her hands in her lap.
"...Do you remember back before you regained your memories? When you were having dreams of the small boy. The one you told me about, with the man dying in the boys lap?" Takeda nodded, already understanding where this talk was leading. "It reminded me so much of my life before Naberius, but I just didn't want to talk about it. I feel like we've gotten closer, so I suppose it isn't as hard to talk about."
"Mira, if-"
"No. No, it's fine. I want to tell you." Mira interupted him, brushing a strand of hair out of her face. "Back before Naberius found me, I was living in a small village, the eldest of three siblings. Our parents had already died, passing just two years after the birth of my little sister, Lisanna. As the eldest, it was my responsibility to take care of them. Make sure they were fed, that they had a place to sleep. unfortunately...while I was out hunting once, I was attacked, and it wasn't by something normal. No simple animal. I didn't know at the time, but either way, I defeated it, but not without injury."
Mira's left forearm began to glow, before it took a new look. It turned black with a few spikes around it in random areas. Her finger nails were now basically claws and black. She clenched the hand tightly, as the demonic aura from it was clear to see.
"It left it's mark on me, my arm turning to this. When I returned to the village, they cursed my name, calling me tainted and evil, that I would bring death to their village. I was harrassed everyday, and I could barely find work anymore. But my siblings, they didn't blame me, and continued to show me love, so we stayed, and that...was the worst mistake I could have made." Mira clenched the hand tightly, a few tears falling down her face. "The villagers came after them, said they were protecting a demon. Since we were living there, we were under their laws, and they stated they were helping bring possible harm to the village, and they were sentenced to die."
"..." Takeda kept his silence, but his silent anger was easily seen. If it wasn't easy enough with his left hand clenched tightly.
"They forced me down, tied to a rock and held to face them, as they were killed. I would have been next, but then...he came. I thought he was my savior, but within time, I realized he was just the same. He felt the power I released in my spout of anger after they were killed in front of me. He wanted that power, and gave me empty promises of helping me control it. Then the tests began." Mira looked up slowly. "When you released me and Seilah, at first I was skeptical, since I remembered everything that had happened before then. Feeling so lonely, I took the chance, and I'm glad I did. My drive to get stronger, I suppose it's because I've finally found people I can put my trust in. People that would care for me the way I would care for them. I don't want to have that feeling ever again. The feeling of losing those closest to my heart. I can't take that pain again!"
Suddenly, she felt Takeda's take a finger and wipe away a tear. She hadn't even realized that she was crying so hard. As he wiped away the tears, he slowly brought her close, holding her head against his chest, his other hand rubbing the back of her head. He didn't speak for at least a minute, only slowly rocking her from side to side to comfort her. It was the most comfort she had gotten in years, and all the grief was finally coming out.
"You don't have to worry about losing me, or anyone else. I know it isn't smart making promises you can't predict or promise, but I'll do so anyway. I won't die, not now, not in a few days, not in a few weeks, not even in a few years. i'll stay not only for my own sake, but for your sake, so that way...you'll never be alone again." He stated with so much seriousness in his voice, it truly shocked Mira, as her heart slowly fluttered. She looked up at Takeda, right in the eye as her cheeks flushed. "I'll continue to grow stronger, just as you will, and together we'll protect one another."
Takeda stared right back at her with a small smile, as her tears stopped falling. Her fears were truly disappearing. She could finally find peace in this world, and it revolved around this one man. Someone who showed her true kindness when no one else would. She truly wondered, were they watching her from the afterlife? Would they be proud of her? She hoped they would, because now...she found happiness, and she would dare anyone to take it from her.
Slowly, she cupper his cheek in her hand, before moving herself closer towards him. He didn't pull away at all, instead placing his own arm around her waist.
'Never in my life did I think, that I would find love, that someone would except a freak like me...but, I'm glad that I did...' She thought to herself, as his lips overlapped her own. 'Takeda Takashi...thank you...thank you so mich...'
Takeda found himself walking along the street of Kuoh, headed straight for the small diner in town. Since she was still in town, Venelana had invited him to lunch, and of course he agreed. After their lunch, she would return to the Underworld to gather her belongings, before moving in with the Lycan Devil. He was thankful he wouldn'd have to bother with school today. With the meeting coming up, the Student Council and Occult Research Club were given the week off, and thanks to smart thinking from Sona, no one thought too much on it.
Eventually, the diner was in sight, and Takeda could easily make out the brown hair of Venelana sat at one of the outside tables.
He crept up behind her, before whispering in her ear.
"So nice of you to invite me, Lana." He stated, as she didn't flinch at the sound of his voice. She merely gave a soft laugh, before turning and kissing his cheek.
"Why would I not? I was sure you had the time." She retorted, as he took a seat across from her. Soon enough, a waiter came by, handing both a menu.
"Thank you for choosing Family Dine. I'll be back soon to get your orders." He said with a smile before walking off. Once he was far enough away, Takeda put up a sound barrier, making their conversation seem different to those around them. Something more normal to the regular human.
"So, the meeting coming up. Are you nervous?" Venalana asked him, looking up at him every so often from her menu. He put a finger to his chin, giving out a hum as he thought of her question.
"Not as much as I should be, perhaps. I believe all parties see that war and battle would only bring destruction to all three factions." Takeda stated, earning a hum from Venelana, basically saying she agreed with him. Soon, the waiter returned and took down their orders, leaving once again to get their order placed.
"That is the case, Keda. Besides, with us united, any enemies that would make their presence known could be dealt with easily." Venelana stated. Takeda agreed for the most part, but throught back to the clan he once was apart of. Some in the clan would be easier to defeat than others.
'Knowing them...they'd do anything to get to me...and the easiest way is to go after those closest to me...' Images of those closest to Takeda appeared in his head, as he let out a small growl unknowingly. He only snapped out of it when he felt Venelana's hand cup his cheek, his eyes meeting her.
"You're spacing out." She stated, as he gave out a sigh. Slowly, he took her hand in his own, holding it tightly as he rubbed his fingers across her knuckles.
"I'm sorry, some things have just been on my mind as of late." He explains, as she gives him a comforting smile. "Promise me, Lana."
"Hmm?"
"Promise me you'll stay by me. I don't think I'd like losing people important to me." He spoke slowly, as Venelana lifted their intertwined hands, kissing the back of his own. Her eyes met his own mismatched ones, a loving look on her face.
"I thought we made it clear, did we not? I am yours, and you are mine, until death takes us. You won't have to worry about losing me, for I shall stay by you no matter what." She proclaimed with great passion, as a smile found it's way onto Takeda's face. He brought their held hands closer to himself, kissing her hand much like she had done.
"Thank you..."
"Again, Koneko. Let the energy flow throughout your entire body, and relax."
Located in the forest near Kuoh Academy, stood five figures. Among these people are Kuroka, Koneko, Raynare, and Takeda. Kuroka stood next to Koneko, who was sat on the floor, a bluish white aura around her. Her cat like ears and tail were out to see, as her eyes were closed. Takeda was stood with Raynare, as the two were sparring with light based weapons.
Takeda could still remember it and how cute it was. Seeing Raynare pouting when he teased her about wanting training from him, it showed him just why he loved the fallen beauty. She had grown stronger yes, but with all of his powers back, he was most definitely stronger, if his 8 wings weren't enough proof of that. That's why he would help make her stronger. Sure, he promised her father Ramiel he would protect her, like he wasn't going to already. At the same time, however, there could be tiimes he wouldn't be there to protect her, and thus he needed to know how to protect herself. Besides, she made it clear she wouldn't be some damsel in distress.
As for the two sisters, Koneko still needed work in her abilities in senjutsu and touki. Who better to teach her than her sister and brother figure. Takeda didn't know why, but Koneko took to seeing him as an older brother of sorts, and it mostly led to Kuroka teasing him about them already being married. He didn't mind it, nor did he dislike the thought, for he already knew he would have multiple wives.
In the end, Takeda came up with the idea of them all training together in the forest, with a very large barrier around the area. Masami is stood on one of the branches of the tree's, being the one holding the barrier up with her incredible magic control. Of course, her kind are well known for their control of fire, but it doesn't mean they can't learn other types of magics.
Masami is watching them all from above, her eyes scanning them all slowly.
'These three...they all have great potential, all they need are the right push.' She thought, before her eyes found Takeda. 'Your ability to push others past their limits hasn't left you, Keda.' She mused with a small giggle.
"Focus, Ray!" Takeda called out, desummoning his light spear. "Putting all of your strength into your light spear won't make the biggest difference." He advised, earning a confused look from the fallen angel.
"W-What do you mean?"
"The more strength you put into the light spear, the more difficult it becomes to control." Takeda explained. "It's best to work at a level of power you can control and work with, while putting the rest of your power into your physical stats, as a means to give you a better chance of winning a fight." Takeda continued on, as he summoned a light spear of his own. There was good level of power in it, but nothing overpowering. "You see, this is the level of power I can work with. There's a difference between people like me and people like Kokabiel. That warmonger focused on power and power alone, and that led to his demise. Know the difference, and you will become stronger much quicker than you would think."
Raynare took in his words carefully, making sure to remember it well, as her eyes grew with determination. Takeda saw it and immediately smirked, as he desummoned the light spear in his hand.
"For right now, work on power control, try to put a limit on how much of it you put into your light spears. Once you can do it consecutively, we'll look into some more difficult tasks." Takeda stated, Raynare nodding with a serious look on her face. Before she left, Takeda pulled her back, placing a gentle kiss on lips. When he pulled back, he gave her a small smile. "Don't overpush yourself either, Ray. I don't mind carrying you home, but I'd rather you not overwork your body."
"R-Right, thank you, darling." She said, a small blush on her face.
While she went ahead to do her training, Takeda looked towards Kuroka and Koneko. His eyes were on the white haired nekoshou, as she kept her meditation calm and equal, as evident by how still the aura around her was.
It was clear to Takeda that Kuroka would always be the best to train Koneko, but he wouldn't mind giving advice if Koneko asked for it. Kuroka met Takeda's eyes, as she walked over, the two standing and watching the young nekshou.
"How's she doing?" Takeda asked, crossing his arms.
"Exceptionally well, thankfully. The key is balance between the positive and negative energy. They begin to cancel each other out, and hold peace once done correctly. Once she learned this, she hasn't had any issues." Kuroka explained, earning a hum from Takeda. "What about you, love? Ever since your powers have come back, how has your own senjutsu been?" Kuroka asked, as Takeda gave a small chuckle.
"Well, I think you'd be happy to know I've worked on the techniques since it came back to me. I suppose it was quite easy since I remembered it all, so it's all practically been mastered." Takeda stated, immediately seeing the bright smile appear on Kuroka's face.
[That is the case, but you've almost completely neglected your Sacred Gear]
"Well there's a voice I haven't heard in a while." Takeda sounded amused. "Worry not, Erebus, my training with the King's Eye will resume soon enough."
[It had better. Enemies will appear soon enough, and you are still a few ways before you reach the True Balance Breaker]
Kuroke listened to the small banter with a smirk.
"She's hard on you, isn't she?" She mused, making Takeda shake his head.
"She's just concerned for me, that's all. No matter how much she tries to hide it."
Before their small conversation could continue, the heavy breathing of Koneko could be heard. Just as she was about to fall back, Takeda appeared behind her, knelt down and holding her up gently. Kuroka walked over as well, as the aura around Koneko slowly disappeared.
"H-How...was that, sis?" Koneko asked through her heavy breathing, as Kuroka knelt down in front of her. She placed a hand on Koneko's head, ruffling her hair gently.
"You did incredible, kitten. A lot longer than last time, which shows progression." Kuroka stated, as Koneko turned to Takeda, seeing a proud look on his face.
"You're working hard, Koneko, and it's showing. Just remember the occasional break is good. No good working with no rest, hmm?" Takeda questioned, as Koneko nodded slowly. Masami continued to watch from above, a calm yet neutral look on her face, as she held her arms under her incredible bust.
"It's just as a said...to push others past their limits, to make them great. Continue to be you, Keda, for we may never see another one like you in years." She muttered to herself, already knowing Takeda could still hear her as he looked up to her. she sent him a wink, which he replied back with one of his own.
The ORC were all gathered in the Old School Building, on the lower level to be exact. Before them was a door Takeda saw multiple times. Two doors with police tape and chains covering it. Takeda could feel the magic energy coming from the door, signaling the seal placed on it. With his powers back, it wasn't difficult for Takeda to generally make out what was behind the door.
Why they were all here, they didn't know, at least some of them. From what he was told, when the small tournament had ended, Sirzechs had given Rias permission to release her first Bishop, which had to be sealed away due to its inability to control its power.
"So this Bishop." Takeda spoke up, Rias looking towards him. "It was sealed because its power was uncontrollable, that correct?"
"Yes, that's right. No matter what I tried, its power would go out of control at random. So, my brother had them sealed here when I came to Kuoh." Rias explained, before Akeno spoke up.
"Between all of us, they just happen to be the biggest in numbers when it comes to contracts." That statement got a raised eyebrow from Takeda, who was basically asking for an explanation from his expression alone. "The Bishop does their contracts through computer. Their clients are usually those who don't like meeting others in person." She stated, earning a hum from the Lycan.
"I think we've waited long enough." Rias spoke, as she moved closer to the door. She raised her hand, a magic circle appearing before her, before the chains fell to the ground with a thud. Akeno and Kiba helped remove the police tape, before Rias took to the door handles. She slowly opened them, before...
"N-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Takeda immediately took to covering his ears, his enhanced hearing making him curse out in slight irritation.
"Ain't that just fucking peachy..." He muttered with a growl, as Rias moved into the room. The lights were completely out, with only the light from the hall allowing them to see inside. There seemed to be stuffed animals among other things scattered across the ground, while a coffin was in the middle of the room, where two pink eyes peered out from.
"You're quite lively today, aren't you?" Rias asked with a sigh. "Good day to you. It's nice to see you all energetic."
"W-W-Whyyyyyy?"
"Ara, the seal got removed, you know? You are abale to go out now. Now, let's all go out together?" Akeno suggested as she moved into the room herself.
"Noooooooooooooo! This place is goooooooooooooood! I don't want to go outside! I don't want to meet new people!" The person yelled out. The others slowly moved into the room, with Takeda picking at his ears.
"Geez, so noisy." He grumbled, earning a small giggle from Akeno.
"Too loud for you?"
"If you had enhanced hearing, you'd know this pain well." Takeda retorted, as he finally got a good look at the person in the coffin. The person looks like a bishoujo with noble looks, platinum blond hair and pink eyes. They seemed to be shaking quite a bit, as they stared back up at Rias and Akeno.
"Woah, a girl. Not to mention a foreigner." Issei said once seeing the person himself, a bit in shock.
"Sorry to say, but this she is most definitely a he." Rias admitted, shocking the brunette further.
"W-Wah-!" He barely got out.
"W-W-Who arae these people?" The young boy asked, staring at the new faces.
"These are new servants who came while you were here. The Pawn, Issei Hyoudou. The Knight, Xenovia. The Bishop, just like you, Asia Argento, and our special Boosting Piece, Takeda Takashi." Rias introduced them all.
"Eeeeeeeek, the members increased by a lot!" The boy said, holding onto the coffin he sat in tightly.
"Please, can we go out? Okay? It's all right for you not to be sealed any more, you know?" Rias practically pleaded gently, but...
"Noooooooooooo! For me the outside world is impossibleeeeeeee! I am scared! I am scared of the outside! In my case, even if I go outside it would only cause trouble for otherssss!"
"Come on, man. The President said to go outside..." Issei said as gently as possible, slowly placing his hand on the boys arm.
"Eeeeeeeeeeek!"
The area became white around him, as Takeda looked around for a split second. When his eyes blinked, everythine was back to normal, but the boy was no longer in the coffin.
"This is strange. Something in this moment..."
"...Its certain something happened."
Both Asia and Xenovia spoke in surprise, while the rest let out sighs. Takeda himself didn't show any case of shock, nor did Issei.
"Don't get angry! Don't get angry! Please don't hit meeeeee!" Takeda turned, seeing the boy was now in the corner, still shaking.
"It's a Sacred Gear, isn't it?" Takeda guessed, getting a nod from Akeno.
"When he gets excited, the time of everything in his field of vision can be stopped for a fixed interval of time." She explained. "Because he can't control his Sacred Gear, by the orders of the Archduke and Maou, Sirzechs, he was sealed." She finished, as they finally got the boy to the clubroom.
Rias slowly walked behind the young boy, bringing him into a close hug.
"This boy is Gasper Vladi. He's my Bishop, and for the time being, a 1st year at Kuoh Academy. Also, before being reincarnated she was half human, half-"
"Vampire." Rias looked towards Takeda, who simply pointed at his nose. "The Sacred Gear. To stop time, I think I've heard of it once years ago. Forbidden Balor View, right?" Rias nodded to his question.
"Yes. That's the name of the Sacred Gear Gasper possesses. It's very powerful."
"To stop time, isn't that close to breaking the rules?" Issei asked.
"Yes, that's true. But your doubling power and the White Dragon Emperor's halving power are both agaianst the rules too, you know? Don't forget Takeda, who's power takes away the damage of using holy elements even as a Devil." Rias retorted, earning a chuckle from Takeda. "The problem is that he's not abale to handle it. Because of that Gasper had been sealed till now. Unconsciously activating his Sacred Gear was seen as a problem."
"You were able to make this boy with such a powerful Sacred Gear into your servent, President. Not to mention, to be able to do it with just one piece." Issei stated a bit confused.
Hearing his words, Rias summonded a book into her hand from mid air, as she began to flip through the pages. She turned it to face him, showing him the page, as well as Takeda.
"Mutation piece?"
"It's different from the usual Evil Piece. Bodies that clearly require more than one piece to be reincarnated can be reincarnated in one piece, its a piece that can make such a phenomenon occur." Kiba answered.
"The problem is Gasper's ability." Rias started. "She possesses a rare ability and it seems her Sacred Gear's power increasaes when he's unconscious. From the previous conversations we can say, in the future, there's a possibility he may attain Balance Breaker." She explained. "Its a critical situation. However, because my evaluation was accepted, it seems I was judged that I may be abale to control Gasper now by the people that evaluated me. Maybe because the fact both Takeda and Yuuto attained Balance Breaker."
Takeda heard a small whine from beside him, seeing it coming from the large box Gasper was sat in.
"...Uh, e-e-ven though I don't want you to talk about me..." He muttered from under the closed flaps.
"Judging by ability, maybe after Akeno she would be next. Even though I say half vampire, she's from a pureblooded vampire family with a good lineage, and has a powerful Sacred Gear because of her human half. She's well endowed with the abilities of vampires, and she excels in human magic wielded by wizards as well. If not so, then she probably wouldn't have been made a Bishop with just one Evil Piece." Rias spoke, as Takeda gave a small impressed look.
"President, vampires are weak against the sun, right? Is he fine?"
"If I were to guess, I'd say he's a daywalker. They are a breed of vampires that can survive when in contact with the sun, hence the name daywalker." Takeda spoke up.
"I hate the daylighttt! It's better if the sun disappeareeeeeed!" Gasper yelled out.
"You don't attend class, right? If you don't control your power and open yourself up then it isn't good, you know?" Issei questioned, but Gasper just screamed again.
"No! I am fine inside this cardboard box! The air and light of the outside are a natural enemy to meeeee! Please let me remain a boy who lives in a cardboard boooox!"
"At least get some pillows in there." Takeda said with an amused chuckle. "Though, wouldn't he still need blood, Rias?"
"Since he's a half vampire, he doesn't thirst for blood as often. If you supply the blood for him once every ten days then there's no problem. Though it seems he originally didn't like drinking blood."
"I hate bloooooooood! I hate fish toooooooo! I hate liver as wellllllll!"
"...A good for nothing vampire." Koneko spoke up, making Gasper cry out again.
"Uwaaaaaaaaaaah! Kokeno is a meanieee!"
With a sigh, Rias stood from her seat.
"For the time being, till I come back. Ise, Asia, Koneko, Xenovia, Takeda, I'll leave Gasper's training to you. Akeno and I will be going to the meeting place for the factions. Also, Yuuto. It seems brother wants to hear in detail about your Balance Breaker so you should accompany us."
"Yes, President."
The three moved for the door, before Rias turned back to the others.
"Keda, sorry but, I'll leave Gasper to you." Takeda shook his head with a small smile.
"No worries, love. With all of us here, I'm sure we can do something." Takeda said back, as Akeno decided to leave with a tease directed towards Gasper.
"Gasper, you should start getting used to the outside, you know?"
"Big sis Akenoooooo! Please don't say stuff like thaaaaaaaaat!"
"Ara Ara, that's troubling. Good luck, Takeda." With those words, the three left the room, as Xenovia was the first to move up.
"Then, shall I thoroughly discipline him? A weak boy is no good, they should be strong. And also, I wanted to face off with a vampire since childhood. Leave her treatment to me."
With those words, she began to drag the rope attached to Gaspers cardboard box.
"Eeeeeeeeeeek! N-N-N-No way, I don't want to fight against the user of the holy sword Durandaaaaaal! I-I'll be destroyeeeeeed!"
"Don't scream, Gasper. If you'd like, shall I prepare a cross and holy water, and also attack you with garlic?" Koneko spoke up this time, and Takeda swore he saw an amused smile on her face.
"Eeeeeeeeeeek! Garalic, nooooooo!"
Soon enough, they all moved outside, as Takeda walked side by side with Issei.
"I don't know why, but I think this will work out well." He said as sarcastically as he could, earning a laugh from his fellow Devil.
"Hey, start running. If you're a daywalker then you should be able to run in the day."
"Eeeeeeeeeek! Don't chase me while swinging the Durandaaaaal!"
Takeda and Issei could only watch as Xenovia chased after Gasper through the field, both of their expressions could tell you what they were thinking.
'She knows nothing of teaching someone else...'
"...Gya, if you eat garlic, you'll become healthy." Their heads turned, as Koneko also began to chase the half vampire, some garlic in hand.
"Noooooooo! Koneko is bullying meeeeeee!"
Koneko still looked amused more than anything with this whole thing, as Takeda could only sigh.
"And here I am, giving them the opportunity to actually help him..." He muttered, before hearing some footsteps.
"Oh oh, they're at it." The two males turned to see Saji walking over.
"Oh, it's you, Saji." Issei greeted.
"Yo, Hyoudou. After heaaring that there was a hikikomori servent whose ban had been lifted, I came to see it for a bit."
"Ah, look there. It's the one getting chasaed by Xenovia." Takeda pointed out.
"Hey hey, Xenovia , she's swinging that sword heartily, you know? Is it all right?" Saji then laid eyes on Gasper. "Oh! Wait, it's a girl, huh? Not to mention blonde haired!"
"Sorry to say, but thats a boy." Takeda said flatly, as Saji nearly fell over in shock. "Either way, what are doing?" Takeda asked, seeing Saji's clothing. He's wearing a jersey, army cotton gloves and was also holding a small shovel for flower bed use.
"Its as you see. It's the maintenance of the flower bed. Its been President's orders since a week ago. Hey, recently there have been many events in the school right? And also, next time the Maou and others are coming here as well. Its the job of the Pawn of the Student Council, me, to make the school look beautiful." Saji stated it with a puff of his chest, as Issei leaned over to whisper towards Takeda.
"I don't think I've heard someone so passionat about gardening duty." Takeda tried to hold back his laugh, before he felt a heavy presence nearing them.
"Heh. The servants of Maou's family's Devils are playing it seems." All heads turned to the man. Black hair with golden bangs, and purple eyes. Issei seemed to recognize him.
"Azazel...!"
"Yo, Red Dragon Emperor. It's been some time since that night."
Takeda remembered now. How Issei had been in a contract with someone for quite some time, and that client was actually Azazel. When he told them, Rias was pretty upset, but, it wasn't anything a little cuddling couldn't fix.
Suddely, most of them became very serious. Xenovia had her sword at the ready, Issei and Saji brought out their Sacred Gears, and Koneko had taken a stance as Asia kept herself behind Issei. The only one to not move was Takeda who had crossed arms.
"I don't feel like fighting. Hey, thaw your postures, Devils. You should somehow know that even with the bunch gathered here, you wouldn't win against me, right? Even I don't plan on bullying Devils such as yourselves. Since I was taking a stroll, I came to visit the Devils place."
Everyone slowly lowered their weapons or stances, but kept on guard. The tense atmosphere was changed when Takeda suddenly began to laugh.
"Hehehe, the first time we meet, and that's what I hear out of your mouth. What a way to meet my grandfather." Azazel's eyes met his, as Takeda looked amused more than anything.
'Well ain't this something." Azazel started, looking Takeda up and down. "Yep, definitely Adolfa's kid. Just the way she always described you."
"I'm not sure if I should take that as a compliment or not." Takeda mused with a raised eyebrow, earning a small chuckle from Azazel. "Lower your guards everyone, now." Takeda spoke with authority. "Come now, we're to be holding a meeting where peace may be achievable. Best to start trusting each other now."
Slowly, everyone listened to Takeda.
"Is the holy demonic sword wielder present? I came to see him."
"Kiba ain't here. He was called on by Sirzechs to see his Balance Breaker." Takeda answered, earning a hum from his grandfather before his eyes found Gasper.
"You're the possessor of the Forbidden Balor View, right? If you can't use it properly, then it will become a thing that causes haram to others. As a support type Sacred Gear, if you can supplement the deficient aspects, it should be fine but...Now that I mention it, the research of Sacred gears by Devils didn't progress much. If you invoke it via the five senses, if the Sacred Gear's owner's capacity is insufficient then, it will move naturally, and it will be extremely dangerous."
Azazel moved a bit closer, before pointing at Saji.
"Is that Absorption Line? If you're practicing, try using it. Connect it to this vampire, if he invokes it while you're absorbing the Sacred Gears excess, it would run less wildly." Azazel stated, as Saji looked at his Sacred Gear in a bit of shock.
"...M-My Sacred Gear, it can suck the power of the opponents Sacred Gear as well? I thought it simply aosorbs the opponents power and weakens them..."
Hearing his words, Azazel had an amazed expression.
"Seriously, its because of this, that recently the Sacred Gear owners don't try to know wth epower of their Sacred Gears well enough. The Absorption Line holds the power of one of the Legendary Five Dragon Kings, the Prison Dragon, Vritra. Well, this was found out thanks to recent research. That thing can connect to any object, and can scatter the power. If it's a short time, it's possible to seperate the line from the owner's side, and connect it to some other person or object."
"The...Then, the line on my side...for example I can connect it to Hyoudou or some other person? And then the power will flow into Hyouduo?"
"Yeah, if you grow, the number of the lines will also increase. If you do that the output of absorption will increase many times as well." Saji became quiet at the words of the Governor. "In improving the Sacred Gear, the fasted way would be to drink the blood of the host of the Red Dragon Emperor, or the Bringer of Night and Day even. If you let the vampire drink blood, then they'll gain power. Well, do the rest yourselves."
Azazel turned to leave, before looking back, more so looking towards Takeda.
"Sorry for Vali...Our White Dragon Emperor for coming into contact with you on his own accord. I am sure you have been surprised, right? After not seeing him in so long."
"I wasn't expecting it. Of course, my body would be in a shock already with just remembering everything." Takeda responded with a shake of his head. "You know, it's wierd isn't it? The amounts of times I visited the Grigori to see that knucklehead , and not once did we ever meet."
Azazel chuckled at the statement, finding it a bit wierd himself.
"It is a bit wierd. Though I suppose we'll need to get to know one another, you are my grandson after all."
"Until then."
Before Azazel could leave, Issei stepped up.
"What about you, won't you apologize for coming in contact with me repeatedly without informing me about your identity?" He asked, as Azazel put a hand to his chin.
"Well, that's my hobby. I won't apologize." With a final wave, Azazel left.
"Uwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"
Almost everyone else had left, leaving Rias, Takeda and Issei in front of the door to Gasper's room.
"Gasper, please come out. It's my fault for pushing you into going with Ise." Rias said. Gasper had made some progress, but it wasn't enough. They tried having him go on a contract with Issei, but things didn't go so well. "I thought that if you worked with ise, ift may be for your benefit as well..."
"Fueeeeeeeeeeeeee!"
It took some time, but Rias explained just why Gasper acted the way he did, and after hearing it all, Takeda held nothing but sympathy for the young boy. The boy was in the same position as he was as a young child, hated by those he would call family, all for something he had no control over.
Takeda himself wondered just how delusional some people could be. It's like they believed the baby has control over their genetic makeup.
Rias saw the look in his eyes, remembering how Kokabiel told them all parts of Takeda's own past, pieces that were all too similar to that of Gasper's.
"I-I...don't need such a Sacred Gear! B-Because I stop everyone! I scare them! i make them dislike me! Even I dislike it! I don't want to stop my f-friends and c-comrades...anymore of having to look at the face of my cherished ones stopped...I-I don't want that..."
They all heard Gasper sob from the other side of the door.
"What a quandary. For making him to once again shut himself in..am I a failure as a King?" If there was one thing Takeda didn't like, it was seeing Rias doubt herself.
"Rias, your meeting with Sirzechs and the others. It's starting soon, right?" Takeda asked, Rias' eyes meeting his own.
"Yes, but I will extend the time a bit more. I have to make sure that Gasper is all right first..." She stated, but Takeda shook his head.
"Leave it to me. I'll try and do something for the little guy." Takeda said, looking towards the brunette with them. "I'm sure Issei and I can think of something." Rias looked shock, her eyes turning to Issei.
"Don't worry President, we'll help Gasper." He said with a thumbs up. Rias came over her shock, giving them both a smile.
"I'm putting my trust in you both then." She gave Takeda a soft kiss on his cheek, before leaving the area. Takeda turned to Issei, seeing him looking right at him.
"What? Jealous?"
"W-Well, I mean..."
"Don't tell me you're still clueless."
"No, no, I can see it just fine. If Xenovia asking for my children isn't enough." Issei stated, muttering the last part.
"Nevermind that, let's help the little guy." Takeda said, moving closer to the door. No matter what they tried for at least twenty minutes wouldn't work, and so, Takeda decided to do something else.
With a sigh, he sat against the wall next to the doors, leaning his head back as he closed his eyes.
"You know, we're similar. You and I." He began, as Issei listened close. "Being judged and hated by those we would call family, for the fact of us being half breeds. I know it all too well, just as you do. Tell me, Gasper, do you fear your Sacred Gear? Is that it? Sometimes I fear what my own Sacred Gear could do."
Takeda paused for a second, as he heard shuffling on the other side. He could feel it, Gasper was right next to the door now.
"Gasper, let me tell you a small lesson I was once taught when I feared my powers, perhaps it'll be of use to you as well. 'Holding fear of your own power is what will be your downfall. Learn what makes it strong and what makes you strong. Wear your power like armor, and it could never be used to hurt you.' It took me some time to learn it myself, but I'm sure you can. Your power isn't something that should bring you harm. If it does, then it isn't truly your power. Does your power bring you harm?"
"N-No...but it makes people mad at me..." Gasper muttered, finally talking.
"And yet that wasn't the case earlier." Takeda retorted. "A bit shocked, yes, but not angry. I'm sure you can tell, but Rias cares a ton for you, and seeing you like this is hurting her mentally." Takeda stated. Slowly, the door cracked open, Gasper peeking out.
"How can you not fear it...? Your own power, doesn't it frighten you, that it may go out of control?" The small vampire asked. Slowly, Takeda reached out, rubbing the top of Gasper's head.
"I always push on, no matter what. The reason, it's because I need to protect people. People that I cherish above all else. If I don't use the powers at my fingertips, how could I ever protect them all. Even if I fear that my power could go out of control, I know I would need it should I want to protect those closest to me." Takeda explained. "You can be the very same, Gasper."
"...I, I will just cause trouble...I am a hikikomori, I am intensely shy. I can't properly use my Sacred Gear."
"We all have our moments of shyness. You just need to find what brings you confidence, and if you need someone to give you confidence, then I'll be the one to give it to you. In terms of your Sacred Gear, that's why you can train with me and Issei. You'll grow stronger, you just need to put in the effort." Takeda retorted, giving the young vampire a comforting smile. "When you think about it, normal humans would see us as enemies, like in their movies and such." Takeda suddenly said.
"H-Huh?"
"You, you're a vampire, and me, I'm a wolf. Not truly a werewolf, but close enough I suppose. At the same time, we're coming to an age of peace between the factions we're apart of. A random thought, but I wanted it to be known. People like us can work together, and that's what we'll do Gasper. I'll help you in any way I can, for not only the happiness of Rias, but for your happiness as well. I promise you."
Gasper stared up at Takeda with wide eyes, as tears slowly fell down his face. He quickly wiped them away, before the door opened a bit more, and Gasper grabbed onto Takeda tightly. The Lycan was a bit taken back at the sudden gesture, but returned it by rubbing Gasper's back.
"T-Takeda...do you mind..."
"Hmm?"
"Can I...can I call you brother?" Gasper suddenly asked, shocking Takeda a bit. His shock was replaced by a smile on his face, as his hand moved from Gasper's back to the top of his head, rubbing his hair softly.
"If it makes you feel comfortable, then I see no problem with it. I'm already an older brother as it is, why not have another younger sibling?" Takeda questioned with a laugh, as Gasper hugged him tighter.
Issei watched with a smile, his eyes on the two.
'You didn't need me at all, Takeda...You really are something special...'
Yes, this took a while to get out, but I hope it was a nice read! Next chapter, I don't expect too much to happen in the next chapter, but a rather important person will be seen. Someone from Takeda's past, and a father figure of sorts for him. The next chapter also officially brings Akeno into the fold when it comes to the lovers of Takeda, so I'm excited for that. It isn't much longer until we finally get to the Factions Meeting, and things are going to be very hectic there, where another OC is going to have their presence known. This person, just saying, will be affihilated with Vali, so there's something to look forward to as well.
