"So, Miss Kayo, Mr Lee, and Mr…Mushy is it?" The lady at the customs desk looked so bored of her job I didn't explain her for having such a sour, unpleasant looking expression on her face. I mean, if I had to deal with people day in day out every day, I think I'd just quit and walk out.

"It's pronounced Moo-she." Iroh corrected naturally, however this only seemed to tick the lady off more as I stared openly at her huge mole on her face. I couldn't help it, I really couldn't, I felt awful but that this was just too huge to ignore.

"You telling me how to do my job?"

"Uh, no no no." Quickly remedying the situation, Iroh stepped closer to the lady and spoke with a charmingly smooth voice and smile. "But may I just say that you're like a flower in bloom, your beauty intoxicating." If it weren't for Zuko clamping his hand down over my mouth, I would have burst out laughing and ruined it all. I snorted and chortled behind his hand as he hurriedly tried to shut me up, knowing that if I pissed the lady off any more after his uncle had just gotten her onto her good side, I would have ruined everything.

"You're pretty easy on the eyes yourself handsome." She giggled whilst making a cat like gesture at Iroh, making me want to laugh all the more so Zuko buried my entire face in his arms, cutting off my air supply and hiding me from view as I shook with laughter. This was just priceless, absolute gold, and I can tell that he feels utterly humiliated to see his uncle flirting with someone. "Welcome to Ba Sing se." Thankfully the lady stamped our papers with added gusto, giving Iroh a wink before handing them back.

Finally Zuko let me go but I had to take a walk, pressing my hand against a pillar for support as I wheezed, breathless from both being suffocated and from laughter. Jeez, I haven't had a good laugh in such a long time, it feels good. "I'm gonna forget I saw that." Zuko complained as he snatched his papers from Iroh as I just about recovered, wiping tears of laughter from my eyes as Zuko looked over at me. "Kayo, quit messing around and keep up. There's thousands of people here and we'd probably never find you again if you get lost."

"Yes mom, I'm coming." I waved my hand dismissively before hurrying to catch up with them. The train station was bustling with refugees, but Iroh managed to find a seat in order to rest his feet for a while, groaning and rubbing his sore legs. "Don't worry, we'll be in our new place soon then you can rest as much as you like. Once we've settled I'll make sure to look for work then you won't have to worry about a thing."

"That is very kind of you Kayo, but it would not do to allow you to work alone. We shall find jobs together, after all. Each of us need to do their part to support our new life here." Iroh said pointedly at Zuko who slumped lower in his seat, arms folded grumpily. I guess Zuko wasn't all that impressed that we'd been forced to hide in the Earth Kingdom capital. Hopefully he won't mind so much living in poverty a little longer. With my dancing skills, maybe I can become famous and rich then we'd have a better life together until we were able to return to the Fire Nation. If we were ever allowed to go back. I can't imagine never seeing my mother again. No, I can't think like that. Just focus on the present, tomorrow will take care of itself.

"So, you guys got plans once you're inside the city?" Jet had somehow suddenly appeared beside us, making me blink quickly just as a tea peddler passed, supposedly offering the finest tea in Ba Sing Se which of course made Iroh instantly wave his arm excitedly.

"Oh! Jasmine, please." Hearing Iroh's request, the tea peddler poured a drink for Iroh who happily closed his eyes in order to take a sip, but the moment he did so he spat it back out again in disgust. "Coldest tea in Ba Sing Se is more like it. What a disgrace!" I giggled softly, feeling bad for Iroh. There was nothing worse than a terrible cup of tea. So disappointing.

"We'll find some real tea once we're in the city." I promised him as Jet requested to talk to Zuko alone. I glanced after them, curious about what Jet could want with Zuko so I strained my ears to try and listen, not paying attention to what Iroh was doing next to me.

"You and I have a much better chance of making it in the city if we stick together. You want to join the Freedom Fighters?" Ah, so he was attempting to recruit Zuko. I can't see that going down very well. Zuko wasn't exactly one for taking orders, much less from someone who clearly hated the Fire Nation, and I was right.

"Thanks, but I don't think you want me in your gang."

"Come on, we made a great team looting that Captain's food. Think of all the good we could do for these refugees." Jet continued to try and persuade Zuko, not giving up so quickly but Zuko made his decision clear, refusing a second time and walking away back towards Iroh and I. I quickly turned my head as not to get caught snooping when I suddenly realised that there was steam rising from Iroh's cup from the hot water. Didn't he say it was cold just now? Wait…no…he didn't. He did! Aw man, please tell me no one saw.

Quickly looking around as discreetly as possible, only to notice that Jet was staring coldly at Iroh and his hot cup of tea. Inwardly I face palmed, sinking in my seat as Zuko returned to us and also noticed what his uncle had done. Together Zuko and I looked at Jet, watching to see his reaction but instead of coming over and confronting us, he turned and walked away with a dark aura surrounding him. Damn it, looks like he's already figured Iroh out. This is not going to be good. Once Jet was gone, Zuko smacked the drink out of Iroh's hand to make it spill on the floor.

"Hey!"

"What are you doing fire bending your tea?! For a wise old man, that was a pretty stupid move." Hissing through his teeth, I gripped my face in my hands and hung my head back over the bench with a groan. I have a feeling that Jet guy is not going to let this go. That look in his eye seemed like he knew, there was real hate and rage there. I'll have to take care of these two better and keep a stricter eye on them. They cannot reveal themselves as fire benders, much less as Prince Zuko and General Iroh of the Fire Nation, they'd be killed in seconds by the masses of angry mobs.

"I know you're not supposed to cry over spilled tea, but…that's so sad!" Iroh cried mournfully over his spilt tea so I rubbed his back and promised to get him some real tea very soon.

"Don't coddle him like that! You're just encouraging him!" Zuko told me fiercely so I just scowled at him.

"With you being so mean to your uncle, he needs some proper affection sometimes."

"You're spoiling him too much."

"No I'm not, you're too hard on him and you yell at him all the time."

"I do not, I never yell!"

"You're yelling right now."

"No I'm-!" Cutting himself off with a frustrated growl, I arched an eyebrow at him rather smugly as I folded my arms then crossed my leg over the other in satisfaction. Although the way we argued sounded like we had been arguing over a child, it was always fun to win an argument against my so called royal prince. I love messing with him, it was so entertaining. "Whatever. Let's go, the train will be leaving soon and I'm not going to wait around here any longer." Storming off I gave Iroh a warm smile before sliding my arms around his in order to walk together, following after Zuko.

"Ah, it's so nice to see my nephew getting along with others so well. You two have a very close relationship I see." I shrugged.

"Well, I guess that's one word for it. Close to killing one another, maybe." As we boarded the train, Iroh laughed deeply as I gave his arm a squeeze, looking forward to seeing the great city of Ba Sing Se and its massive walls for the first time, and starting the next chapter of my new life, unexpected as it was.
