Kim Possible: Vamped

Harry Hardbed yawned as he padded to his bedroom after a late meal consisting of several fat sandwiches, and a bowl of his favorite ice cream. He washed the meal down with a beer, and then headed for bed, hoping he would soon hear from Augustus.
After all, that nut's antics had obviously stirred her up, and he could bet she would be hunting him soon. If not already. Only they wouldn't find him. Auggie could be devious when he chose to hide, and ironically, as mad as he could be, he was the smart one in the family.
So smart he even worked for NASA for a few years, until his unusual beliefs were exposed, and they fired him for trying to send holy water with the astronauts in case they found vampires living in space where the endless night would make them all-powerful.
He still wasn't sure what had happened to Possible, but he knew something supernatural was at fault because you did not come back from apparent death looking like Dracula's cousin. Not without a very obvious explanation. Because while he believed, too, he wasn't unstable. He had seen supernatural things before, and he knew the only reason he was still alive was that he had kept his head down, and his mouth shut.
Only Possible was a target that could not be defined. He could finally expose the dark side of the world most tried to ignore by exposing her. He didn't even care that GJ itself tried to warn him off. That only told him he was on the right track. Soon, he'd be famous. A household name.
Pulling back his quilts, the heavyset man sat down on the bed and reached to set his alarm so he would be in early for the next show's planning. He still had a lot of good footage from Augustus' attack on Middleton, and he could milk it for weeks if he planned it right. Between his efforts and Augustus' silly persona irritating her, he'd drive Possible into a frenzy, and force herself to expose her true nature on camera.
He had thought she was going to do just that when she appeared to take down that freakish clone his brother had created.
Only she somehow controlled herself and walked away even while bathed in blood.
Chortling just a bit, he lay down, stretching out with a satisfied belch, and started to reach for the lamp when he realized glaring crimson orbs were looking down at him from his ceiling.
"Hello, Harold," the voice hissed, and he screeched as the shadowy thing dropped to land on him, pinning him to his bed.
"Augustus says hi," Kim smiled viciously. "No, actually, he just screamed. A lot. Before he died."
"He… You killed him," he gasped, one hand trying to reach for the revolver he kept under his pillow.
Only his fingers only found a shapeless lump of metal that confused his senses when he touched it.
"No, you did," Kim said coolly as she sat atop him, fangs bared. "You sent him after me. You caused the deaths of innocent people, the wounding of so many more. Worse, you dared strike at me, fat man," she snarled.
"I knew you were a monster," he said, whimpering as the smell of urine filled the air.
"Me? Who unleashed his unstable brother on an unsuspecting town? Over a dozen people dead, Harold. Over forty in the hospital, their families waiting to see if they live. All so you two could play monster-hunter."
"You…. You…."
"So, yes. Augustus is dead. Turned out, he had no magic. He certainly couldn't fly," she smiled.
"What…. What are you going to do," he whined.
"Destroy you," she said and snapped at his face.
He screamed, but even as he flailed he realized there was no one there. He was alone.
Just that quickly, Kim was gone.
Sitting up, he pulled his pillow aside and gaped at the small semiautomatic that he kept there. It had been crushed into a rough ball of useless metal.
Dropping the thing onto his bedside table, he glanced around the room lit only by his lamp, but saw nothing.
No red eyes.
No pale faces.
He swallowed hard and lay down again.
"Just a hallucination," he tried to tell himself, but barely slept at all as she kept staring into the darkness beyond his lamp he refused to turn off.
The next morning, exhausted, anxious, and feeling as if every step might be through a literal minefield, he headed for his kitchen for coffee only to find all the food in his fridge spoiled. Somehow, the food he had bought fresh just a day ago was now spoiled.
He all but fled the house, still pulling on his clothes with every step.

"You're back," Dana smiled and went to hug her as Kim came into the house just before dawn.
"You okay, Princess," Shego asked.
Kim just stared at her.
"Do I have to ask," Shego finally asked as Kim walked over and dropped onto the couch, Dana sitting beside her, clutching one of her hands.
"It was Hardbed," she finally said.
"What," Shego and Dana both gasped.
"Harry had a brother. A real loon that used science to replicate magic and cloned those creatures from our blood. He wanted to create an army he thought we would lead together to take over the world. He really was insane."
"Do I have to ask….?"
"He won't make any more monsters," Kim said blandly.
"And Harry," Dana asked.
"He's the one that inspired and aimed that madman. Harry is the one technically behind all of this madness. He…. He killed Monique," she said so quietly that even Shego shivered.
"Mom…."
"I'm going to destroy him."
"Kim…."
"Oh, he'll live. I want him to live just so he suffers endlessly as his life and family fall apart. So he can lose all he cares about and knows but can't prove a thing as he drops into his own madness. I want him to know exactly how I feel just now," Kim declared.
"First, I'm having him tell his wife he's having an affair. With their dog. By the time they come back from their vacation, she won't be very happy with him. His followers are next. He's going to be exposed as a member of a fringe cult group. I've just not picked which one yet."
"And….afterward," Dana asked.
Kim nodded at her.
"Then, the evidence he was behind the Middleton attack to build his own ratings will be coming out. By then, I doubt he's going to be sounding very credible. Or trustworthy. Even the fringe that follows him will be backpedaling by then."
"The fate worse than death," Shego asked as she only then came in and sit down.
"Absolutely. He deserves it, and more. Don't try to talk me out of it."
"I'm not, Kimberly. I know you're due. All of those he cost their lives are due. You do what you have to do. I happen to know Bets warned him more than once, and if this was his response, yeah, he has everything you say and more coming to him. Go get him," Shego told her.
"Oh, mom. Amy called. She wants to come down this weekend."
"That's fine," Kim smiled at her. "I'm sure you'll enjoy seeing her again."
"She said….she had something she needed to talk about," Dana told her. "She…saw us on the news. You know how that guy had us on his show. She…saw us."
"And you're worried about how she may react?"
"I guess I am," she said.
"So, uh, you two want breakfast," Shego asked.
Kim stood up, Dana looking up at her.
"I think I just want to rest. I need to sleep. Don't wake me up. For anything," she said and turned to go to her room.
Dana stared after her, and then stood up, too.
"I'm going to lay down, too," she said quietly and followed Kim into the back.
Shego didn't miss that Dana went into Kim's room.
Kim looked up as she just stripped, and lay down even as Dana walked into her room.
"Mom….?"
Kim patted the bed as she pulled the covers back on the other side. Dana stripped and dropped her clothes across a desk chair before she climbed into bed with her unlikely parent. The pair hugged, and Dana sighed even as she gave herself into the sleep that even she couldn't escape even if she could hold it off at times now.
Kim just closed her eyes and gave herself over to darkness.

"Stoppable," Shego murmured as she spoke into the phone. "Sorry to wake you so early, but you wanted to know when she came in? Yeah, she's back. She and the kid just crawled into bed. Yeah. Yeah, hold onto your inscrutable mask, Stoppable, it gets bad," she said and began to share what Kim had told her.
Shego was half surprised the man didn't interrupt, but she had learned Ron could be surprisingly mature at times. Especially in the time following Kim's apparent death.
"Anyway, yeah, it was all for this moron to up his cable show's ratings. Do I have to say Kim is going to spank him? No, I think anyone getting in the way will regret it. I'm just warning you if that nutjob calls for help. You don't want to get between them this time."
She was half surprised at his answer.
"Well, anyway, now I'll let you share with Bets. Somehow, I don't think it will be as convincing coming from me. Still, considering Bets told her to back off the guy from the start, I don't think she wants to make the mistake of crossing Kimmie on this one. Warn her, okay?"
Shego sighed as she hung up the phone.
"Good luck," she told him after she did. "You'll need it," she declared, knowing how hardheaded the harpy could still be about some things.
