"CHLOE WHERE ARE THEY!" Ash shouted. He had torn apart most of the lab looking for pants or shorts that would fit him to no avail, even the pair he had bought yesterday was gone. "You won't find them until I've decided you've learned your lesson." Chloe said with a smirk. "Besides, my dad wants us to meet in the main lab, come on let's go." Chloe said, grabbing Ash's arm, and dragging him away from his search.

"There's been a report of large amounts of Hoppip gathering on an island off of the coast of Kanto. I'd like you three to go and see why so many are there." Professor Cerise said. "I'm sorry Professor, but Hoppip usually travels by wind, is it really a scientific breakthrough looking into them being on an island?" Ash asked curiously. "Normally no, but these Hoppip haven't been leaving, more and more are gathering, while it isn't a threat, I'd like to know why they've gathered there." Professor Cerise said, handing them boat tickets. "You'll be heading to five island, be prepared for warm weather." He said sending them off.

"That's a cute dress." Chloe commented, walking up to Ash on the boat. He was wearing a blue sundress, and some wedge heeled sandals. "Not that I have many choices, thanks for that again." He said angrily. "If you prove that you've learned your lesson on this trip, I might let you know where I put them." Chloe taunted. "You know this is cruel and unusual punishment, right." Ash said, turning around. "I've made my choice, as long as you look like this, I'll do whatever it takes to make sure you are at least presentable." Chloe said, putting her hands on her hips. "Fine, I'll play your game. For now." Ash said begrudgingly.

"Come on, let's hurry up!" Goh yelled from the shore. "The Hoppip aren't going anywhere fast." Ash said walking off the boat. "How can you be so sure?" Chloe asked. "Feel the air, no breeze. No breeze means they can't leave yet." Ash said, taking in a breath of air. "So what's the plan? Which way are we flying?" Goh asked impatiently. "We aren't." Ash said almost too quickly. "We have to walk there?" Chloe asked shocked. "Not the entire way, but if we land right where they are, or fly overhead, we won't get any information." Ash pointed out.

The trio was in the skies, keeping a close eye out for the Hoppip. Goh with Aerodactyl, Chloe with Charizard, and Ash with Staraptor. "Over there, I see them! Follow me!" Ash called out, having Staraptor swoop down for a landing. "They're just on the other side of these hills." Ash said calmly after Goh and Chloe had landed. "Goh, you either need to catch another strong flier, or invest in a harness or shoulder pads." Chloe stated, seeing Goh rubbing his shoulders. "I know, I know, but it's not like I have the options that Ash does." Goh said plainly.

"Why could they be trapped here?" Chloe said in shock. The valley was filled with Hoppip, but they didn't seem to be worried. "I don't think they're trapped." Goh said looking around. "Not enough chaos or confusion, there's something that they're waiting for." Goh continued looking around. "I'm going back up to take a look around again. You two stay here and keep investigating this side." Goh said, sending out Aerodactyl. "Come on Chloe, no point in standing around." Ash said walking forward.

A few minutes later, Ash was on the phone with Goh. "So what have you found?" Ash asked. "A blind spot." Goh responded worried. "What do you mean a blind spot?" Ash asked confused. "Where I'm at, I can't see the valley at all. I have a feeling that's why the Hoppip are there. It's a safe spot from whatever is up here." Goh said. "Goh, be careful, we're on our way." Ash said hanging up the phone. "Come on Chloe! We need to hurry." Ash said running out of the field. "You know I can think for myself!" Chloe shouted. "I think Goh's getting in over his head." Ash said fear in his voice.

"What is this? A nest?" Goh asked himself. "SKAR!" A Pokémon cried out swooping down. Goh ducked just in time to see a Skarmory had just tried to attack him. "Aerodactyl use Head Smash!" Goh commanded. The two flying Pokémon collided, as Aerodactyl fell. "Aerodactyl try again with a Crunch attack!" Goh commanded. Aerodactyl had managed to land a hit sending it and Skarmory spiraling downwards. "Aerodactyl let go!" Goh called out. Just before they hit the ground Aerodactyl swooped up as Skarmory hit hard. "Now Pokeball go!"

"Goh! Are you okay!" Chloe yelled, running up and hugging him. "I'm fine, and I think my idea was correct, there was a Skarmory's nest up here." Goh said going over to the nest. "The Hoppip should be fine now, the Skarmory is taken care of." Goh said holding up the Pokeball. "Wait where's Ash? And why were you on Staraptor?" Goh asked surprised.

"Charizard use Flamethrower! Pikachu use Thunderbolt!" Ash called out. What a fine mess he had gotten into. Whatever Goh had found wasn't the problem he was sure of that. The flock of Skarmory he was facing, now that was the problem. "Charizard use Flamethrower again! Pikachu use Electro Web!" As the web shot out it dispersed more and more hitting the entire flock of Skarmory. "Pikachu, I'm not sure what that was, but let's do it again!" Ash called out. That seemed to do the trick as the Skarmory flew off scared.

"Goh, Chloe, I'm glad you two are alright!" Ash said, running to hug his friends. "We're fine, are the Skarmory taken care of?" Chloe asked. "Yep, Pikachu learned a new move, and scared them off." Ash said with a smirk. "Hopefully now the Hoppip will be able to safely leave the valley." Chloe said gleefully.

"Hey Ash, what happened to your shoes?" Chloe asked, noticing Ash's bare feet as they were heading towards the boat. "Oh they kinda broke off in the air battle, and I didn't see where they landed. "My efforts are pointless aren't they?" Chloe asked rhetorically. "What do you mean, you're a great researcher!" Ash said, trying to cheer her up. "Not those efforts, no matter how hard I try to make you more ladylike it won't work, will it?" Chloe asked, a bit defeated. "You need to remember despite how I look, I'm still a guy, I don't have a problem doing things like makeup or spa visits with you, because you find them fun, but at the end of the day, I'm still the same old Ash." Ash said honestly. "When we get back, I'll return your pants and shorts." Chloe said glumly. "Look, if it'll make you feel any better, I'll be a bit more careful with how I act, okay." Ash said trying to reach a middle ground where they'd both be happy. "That'd be nice." Chloe said smiling. "And maybe I can still teach you a thing or two about how you dress." "Maybe."
