A/N: School started back up so expect chapters to come out more slowly.

FieLover: Musse... really is dangerous sometimes. I always love the moment between Relon and Nameless, and their banter is hilarious. And looks like things are about to go down. Awesome chapter as always!

Indeed she is! That's why I love her so much XD. Thank you, I try to have them be a comedic duo as well as Nameless be the voice of reason for Relon's troubles.

Speedkarate: Awesome chapter.
Oh Senate is coming and this going action pack.
Relon and Musse moment was awesome as true bond as teacher and student.

Relon good luck !

This is where the hype keeps rising! Time for nothing but action, action, and more action! And those two are gonna be going through a lot throughout the story. Relon, you're gonna need a whole lot of luck!

Ring ring ring. Ring ring ring. Ring ring ri-

Ceasing the alarm is a hand having touched the touch screen of the ARCUS. Numerous past attempts having allowed it to know where to click with ease.

"Mmmm." A small groan comes from a groggy boy.

Sitting up, he covers a hard yawn covering his eyes as they adjust to the sunlight from the window.

"What time is it...?" He wonders to himself stretching his arms up and forward before reaching over the shelf for his ARCUS. "6:45? Why did I set it so early again?" He wonders still half asleep.

"Mmm." Another groan comes though it is not Relon who makes it.

Looking to his side, he see Claire slowly come to sitting up rubbing an eye.

"Good Morning..." She greets to cover a yawn that follows.

"You messed with my ARCUS when I fell asleep, didn't you?"

"Yes. Considering you forgot to set your alarm, I thought I'd do it for you after last night." She says pecking his cheek.

"Thanks." He smiles falling back onto the bed, his head colliding with the soft pillow he's used for years. Claire doing the same.

Scooting closer, Relon hugs the woman resting his head at her bosom. Smiling at the affection, Claire returns the embrace with one hand while running the other through his soft hair.

"Mmm, that feels good." He murmurs.

"Which do you like more? My chest or my hand combing your hair.?" She pauses to glance at his face for a reaction.

"I like you." He answers without hesitance sporting a smirking face to the woman's amusement. "Chalk another point for me." He smirks.

"Fine." Claire chuckles. "I'll concede this time." She states only to pause abruptly, Relon looking to the woman with a wonderous look. "I just realized that's the first time you've openly admitted to liking me."

"... Huh, you're right." He mutters at the realization too. "I'm guessing that's something you like hearing?"

Seeing that look of awe change to the happy smile he's come to adore, he chuckles at his question now answered.

"Hmm..." Claire hums eyeing the boy.

"What's up?"

Rolling over on top of him, their eyes lock onto the other. With her arms to both side of him, Relon's peripheral is blocked by her downed hair.

"What do you think?"

"Huh? Well, I'm guessing you're smiling." He answers to get a shake from the young woman.

"Not that. What do you think of today." She repeats looking to him with a more determined expression.

Hearing her, his mouth goes slightly agape for only a moment before his mouth fully closes for a determined look of his own to form.

"We're going to succeed. No matter what." He states.

Hearing him, her mouth reforms to that sweet smile as she lowers resting herself atop him.

"That's what I want to hear."

"So you knew, huh?"

Looking to him with her chin on his chest, she speaks.

"Both Laura and I knew. We simply didn't say anything."

"Sorry to worry you two."

"No need to apologize. It's only natural that you would be distressed over the situation. Just remember what you just said and everything will turn out fine."

"I will." He reassures combing his hand through her hair.

"Good." She lays back down her head, the two enjoying their peaceful time before eventually getting up.

Showering and getting dressed, both head outside as they await the others. Before long, Group A appears.

"Morning." Relon greets with a two-fingered salute. "Hm? Where's Laura?"

"She's still asleep." Aurelia answers. "You all must have been out quite late."

"Yeah, we were. And I had a feeling this would happen." He sighs. "Laura needs a good sleep to function normally." He notes to himself.

Whenever she didn't get a full night's sleep when we were kids, we couldn't wake her up until she was fully recuperated. I remember we didn't finish training until two in the morning and it wasn't until noon that she woke up.

"We didn't want to wake her up so we just left her to rest." Alisa mentions.

"We also have new tasks for the day so we should get those taken care of before things get hectic later." Elliot adds.

"Hmm... Lemme check on her and then we can get started. What will you do, Major?"

"I'll get back with the other RMP and and look over the orbal cams."

"Alright, see you later." Relon nods as does Claire before she departs in the direction of the market. "I'll be right back, you guys." He says hurryin into the inn.

"Hmm..." Alisa hums gaining their attention.

"What is it, Alisa?" Rean asks.

"Is it just me or is Relon and Major Claire closer than they seem?" She questions for the others to give curious looks.

"What makes you say that?" Elliot asks.

"I don't know. Just a feeling I guess. They were together when we arrived but Laura was with them last night so maybe I'm just thinking to much..."

Opening the door, he steps in to take sight of the dormant girl. Walking over, his eyes lay upon Laura sleeping on her side. Her hair draped down her back.

She really went overboard. Then again, it's my fault she's like this in the first place.

Watching the girl sleep in peace, he bids her a quiet farewell before returning to the others.

"Yeah, let's leave her be. We'll need her at 100% for later."

"I am in agreement." Aurelia nods.

"So what do we have for today?"

"Two things." Alisa begins. "Another monster extermination and a search request."

"What do we have to look for?"

"The owner of a wallet." Elliot chuckles.

"Greeaaaaaaaaaaaat. Just great. " Relon sighs. "All in favor of taking care of the monster quest first?" All raise their hands. "Greeaaaaaaaat!" He says with more enthusiasm. "Next stop, the mayor's place." He announces, the group heading over with Relon filling them in on the plan for later.

Knocking a few times, Relon opens the mayor's door walking in with co.

"Mayor Otto! It's Relon!" He announces lookin around.

"Ah, Relon!" All turn to see the elderly man walking down the staircase. "I believe you're all here for monster request?" He wonders taking a seat on his couch.

"Yes, sir. Can you tell us about it?" Rean asks.

"Of course! Originally, the provincial army said they would handle it but we all know how that turned out. As such, no one at the time is capable of doin such. My apologies for that."

"No need to apologize, Mayor. It's no problem at all." Alisa reassures.

"What sort of monster is it that you wish to be vanquished?"

"From what I've heard, it seems to be a massive avian monster. It appeared sometime last night right in the middle of the highway and is blocking any passage through."

"Carriages and such can't get through so this requires to be taken care of quickly, right?" Elliot asks.

"Exactly. As for its specific location, you'll find it by heading west once you leave the town. Apparently, it's situated on a stone bridge located on the way to Heimdallr."

"Okay, we'll report back once we've taken care of it." Relon nods.

"Do take care of yourselves."

"Roger roger!" Relon bids, the group leaving.

Heading in the direction they were informed, Aurelia notes Relon's perturbed expression.

"Is something the matter, Relon?"

"Are you worried about the beasts or Laura?" Alisa wonders.

"No and no." Relon answers crossing his arms as they continue on. "I'm just trying to figure out how I didn't notice that thing when I left the park last night."

"Maybe it appeared after you left?" Elliot shrugs.

"I guess so. But still, that's just odd." He mutters, the group halting before the bridge seeing a monster matching the description.

"Looks like we've found our troublemaker." Rean comments, all readying their weapons. "Link teams?"

"We'll do the same as before." Relon answers stepping forward holding Pippin in hand. "Considering this thing can fly, it'll be annoying to chase after should it decide to fly off."

"If it does, we'll leave it to you and Pippin to bring it back down." Aurelia mentions.

"Yeah. Leave it to me." He responds. "You four ready?"

At his question, a link forms between Rean and Elliot as well as Aurelia and Alisa.

"Ready!"

Giving a squall, the avian monster flaps its wings conjuring a strong gust of wind. Pushing them back onto the bridge, the group hunkers down. Relon's arm, already alit in flames, extinguishes itself.

"Tch! Fine then!" Readying Pippin like a spear, Relon throws the sword, the creature flapping into the sky ceasing its own attack and dodging Pippin's. "Now, Pippin!" Complying, the sword halts in midair shooting back to collide with the avian creature's side letting out a screeching noise as it lowers from the air.

"Go!" Rean calls, the five charging forth with Pippin back with Relon.

Firing arrow after arrow, the creature shifts from side to side and then prepares to flap its wings once more.

I don't think so!" Relon shouts firing a flamethrower as the bird monster unleashes a gust of wind fanning back the flames.

Rushing past and over them, Rean and Aurelia bring down their blades for the creature to fly back avoiding the lethal combo.

"Needle Shoot!" A large boulder zooms past the sword duo crashing into the bird knocking it against the gate.

"Nice shot, Elliot!" Alisa compliments. "Flames come to me... Flamberge!" The fire arrow rips through the air hitting the monster square on burning it.

Flapping its wings, it dispels the spreading flames as it gets back above ground. A moment passes and symbols begin to orbit the creature.

"Art incoming!" Relon shouts just as the monster finishes its conjuring.

Giving a mighty flap of its wings, it unleashes a small tornado ripping apart the bridge they jump off of.

"W-Whoa!" Elliot shrieks, his body beginning to get sucked in.

"Elliot!" Rean gasps grabbing his friends hand stabbing his tachi into the ground.

"R-Rean, thanks!"

"We need to get out of the way! It's getting closer!" Alisa says holding onto Aurelia's hand with the white-haired girl's sword lodged in the ground.

"Crescent Strike!"

All turn back to Relon as a flaming crescent whips past them hitting the tornado turning it into a fiery vortex.

"Let's go! I'll absorb the fire and you guys finish it off!" He calls looking over his shoulder as he leaps into the dual elemental attack.

"Relon!" Aurelia calls out.

"Come on, we just have to trust him!" Rean says taking off after the teen.

Pushing off, Relon jumps over the river into the coming fire. Jumping inside, he raises both hands, the flames seeming to be sucked into his palms. In sdeconds, the vortex is gone leaving Relon to descend to the running river below only to land on Pippin.

"Now!" Rean shouts, he and Aurelia jumping overhead striking at the creature landing their attacks knocking it back.

Firing another arrow and boulder respectively, the combination lands their mark.

"Relon!" They all shout.

Squatting, Relon jumps high into the air. Throwing his flaming arm back, it burns brightly.

"The end!" He exclaims thrusting forward a torrent of hot fire the creature still recovering can only look at its vision becomes enveloped in red.

Landing next to Rean and Aurelia, he looks up to see his work burning the creature to cinders.

"That takes care of that." He notes standing up extending his open hand once more as he absorbs the residual flames scattered around.

"That was a genius idea, Relon." Aurelia comments. "Turning the wind into fire so you could absorb it."

"Thanks, I couldn't have done it without you guys though."

Jumping back over, it doesn't take long for the group to report back to Mayor Otto. Thankin them, he leaves to contact the necessary repairmen for the bridge.

"That creature was quite strong. I forgot some monsters could conjure arts too." Elliot shivers, the group walking towards the Grand Market.

"Shows just how dangerous the world can be." Relon notes.

"But it also shows how strong we've become since enrolling." Rean adds, both boys smiling along with the rest.

Yeah. We have gotten stronger. Much stronger.

Reaching the market, the group heads to one of the stalls.

"Hey, Lizzie!" Relon waves.

"Relon! It's great to see you again! How's Thors?" The burgundy-haired girl asks.

"Great! Heard you found a wallet?"

"Yes." She nods handing it over. "I happened to come across it by my store yesterday, you see. I kept it with me in hopes the owner would come back to pick it up."

"And they didn't as you had hoped, correct?" Aurelia wonders for Lizzie to nod.

"Leave it to us, Liz." Relon says.

"Thank you so much, Relon!"

Walking away, the group inspects the wallet finding some mira. Well... a lot of mira.

"Aidios, this wallet is packed!" Rean exclaims eyeing the rather thick object.

"Let's see..." Opening smaller pockets to find nothing but more mira, Relon stumbles upon a ticket. "Hey, a train ticket to Heimdallr." He says pulling it out and inspecting the small paper. "And it's scheduled for tonight."

"Sounds like the owner is a fairly well-off traveler, then." Rean notes.

"There's not much we can do with that as our only lead." Alisa says slightly saddened.

"It would be great if the owner had put their own I.D. inside." Relon sighs closing the wallet and putting it away. "All we can do now is go ask around the station. The owner must be looking for it if they plan on leaving tonight."

After entering the station, they asked about whether there were any inquiries in regard to the lost property.

"Yes there was an inquiry." A station employee says. "And that wallet matches the description too."

"When was the inquiry made?" Relon asks.

"This morning. A young lady came along in a panic claiming she was at a complete loss without her wallet and its contents. From what I could tell, she seemed to be traveling alone, too."

"Anything else that may give us a possible idea of where she can be?"

"I believe she mentioned something about returning to the inn to do a thorough check, if I recall correctly."

"Okay, thanks."

Hurrying over, they stop at the bar where Margot is. After explaining their situation, the woman smiles.

"Oh! You're looking for Annabelle. You just missed her."

"Argh..." Relon groans.

"Now we have a name! That makes this a lot easier." Alisa says attempting to cheer the boy up.

"She mentioned that she'd be searching the rest area in the Grand Market next, so you'll want to head there."

"Bet! Let's go!" Relon exclaims taking off.

"Relon, wait for us!"

Reaching the rest area, Relon looks around to twitch his eye clearly irritated as another groan escapes him.

"Damn it!" He curses, the others catching up. "We missed her again!" He slumps his shoulders.

"Excuse me." Rean says gaining the attention of a man seated down. "You wouldn't happen to know of a young lady searching for a wallet, would you?"

"Yes actually. She mentioned something about leaving it up to Aidios."

"Leaving it up to Aidios... Oh, damn it." Relon mutters walking off.

"Relon? Where are you going?" Elliot calls out.

"I know where she is. Come on."

Catching up, they follow him stopping before the church.

"Leave it to Aidios... I get it now."

Sighing, Relon heads inside.

"Let's get this over with." He mutters, the others exchanging questionable glances between one another before heading inside.

Lookin around they see a woman seated with her hands clasped together.

"Oh, Aidios, please have mercy on my poor soul..."

"Annabelle?" Relon asks gaining the woman's attention.

"Y-Yes?" She says put off by the group of strangers before her.

"Here. Your wallet. Take it." He says, his tone either bored or annoyed, as he hands over said wallet making the woman smile happily.

"Thank you! Thank you so much! How much would you lik back for your troubles?"

"None. Just glad we could help." Relon quickly dismisses turning around. "Take care." He bids walking past the class.

"Uh... okay...? Thank you all again." She bows.

"Don't mention it." Rean smiles, the group exiting oblivious to a pair of eyes from the podium having watched the whole event.

Heading outside, they find Relon situated on the bench petting Null now on his lap.

"So, mind telling us what that was about?" Rean asks.

"I simply wanted to get in and out of there as fast as possible." He states, his eyes not leaving the cat on his lap.

"I'm guessing there's a reason for that?" Elliot asks.

"Yes, there is." A voice answers just as Relon is about to.

All turn around to see the pastor with his arms behind him looking to the group of students. Relon having raised his eyes to look at the man.

"Uh... Can we help you?"

"No, but maybe I could help you. I couldn't help but watch the good deed you all did. It is a blessing by the goddess herself that there are people like you still helping others in need."

"Oh, it was nothing. We were just doing what anyone other would do." Alisa dismisses with a wave of her hand.

"What exactly did you mean by helping us?" Aurelia questions eyeing the pastor.

"Ah yes." His eyes goes to meet Relon's, a stoic smile on the man's face. "It is good to see you again, Relon. School has been good, no?"

Unresponsive, he lifts his hand up. Null immediately getting off his lap and going to the other bench. Getting up, he sighs.

"Yes." He gives a obviously forced smile to immediately drop it. "It's been going great, Pastor. Though I'd appreciate it if you stayed out business that doesn't involve you,"

"I'm guessing you two don't get along." Rean comments.

"Not in the slightest."

"I'm guessing you haven't told your friends, have you?" The man wonders aloud.

"No need to tell them something as unimportant as that. It won't change anything."

"Um. Another secret I'm guessing?" Elliot wonders looking to Rean.

"I have no idea."

"It's not a secret." Relon explains but more calmly than before. "Just something I feel isn't important to mention."

"And what might that be if I may ask."

"Sure, I have no problem with it. Simply put, I don't believe in Aidios." He shurgs looking back to the pastor.

For a moment, none respond before Aurelia speaks up.

"Is that all?"

"Yup."

"I see. Shall we head for the market and let Lizzie know of our accomplished task?"

"Sounds good to me." Relon says looking to a surprised pastor. "Nice try. Considering you've been trying to convert my family and I, I'm not surprised you'd try something like this." With those words, Relon and co. leave.

"Now that I think about it, I think you're the first person I've met that doesn't believe in Aidios." Elliot says.

"Well, I'm pretty sure I'm the first person you've met with a magical sword not to mention wield fire." Relon jokes.

"How come if you don't mind?" Alisa asks.

"Simple. From my perspective. If Aidios was real, then why would she leave all of those orphans homeless. Why leave me without parents? To test us? I doubt it. Considering everyone always talks about how Aidios blesses all, why weren't we?" Everyone pauses at the thought.

"Well... When you put it like that..." Rean surmises.

"It's just my point of view. I'm not trying to convert you guys like that pastor but it helps to see things from another perspective."

"Now that I think about it, I think everyone has mentioned Aidios at least once except you." Alisa comments.

"Yup. Never have and probably won't anytime soon at least."

Heading over to notify Lizzie of their task completed, the five head back towards the inn.

"Hmm. Time sure flew by. It's already going on noon." Relon comments looking at the time on his ARCUS unit.

"Really? Wow, you're right! When did that happen?" Elliot wonders baffled.

"We should get over to the inn. That's where Claire, Aunt Cecily, and Laura are waiting." Relon says.

Nodding, they make their way over to find Claire and several RMP outside along with Aunt Cecily.

"I take it yo all have completed your field study tasks?" The legendary woman asks smiling.

"Yup. Easy peasy lemon squeezy." Relon grins. "Laura isn't out yet?"

"No. She must still be resting." Claire says.

"I'll go get her." Relon dismisses himself heading inside.

Stopping before the room, he knocks.

"Laura? You awake?" No response. "Alright, I'm coming in..." Slowly opening the door to see nothing, he walks inside closing the door behind him.

Looking at her bed, he sees the girl gone but something that makes his eyes go big and his body still. On the neatly made bed lies the girl's pajamas as well as a matching set of blue undergarments atop the night attire.

Well, that is a nice azure coloration.

NAMELESS!

Snapping his head away to the door, his hand reaches for the handle but the sound of another door coming from the bathroom stops him. Walking out covered only by a towel is Laura, her hair down and her eyes closed as she hums to herself wiping the beads of water on her forehead from her shower. Snapping his eyes back to the door, his mouth goes agape at the terrible situation he is now in.

I am going to die and there's nothing I can do!

You could explain the situation.

YOU THINK SHE'S GOING TO BELIEVE THAT?!

It's worth a try, Either that or succumb to a beating far worse than from that of a Leaguient.

... I don't wanna diiiiiieeeeeeeee! He mentally whines, his hand still on the door knob. If I open the door, it's going to creak and she'll see me. If I don't, she'll notice me. Either way, I'm a dead man!

And should you say nothing and she finds you, what will Claire say I wonder...

... Oh no... No, no, no, no... I'm literally screwed because I was worried about a friend. This is bullshit! What kind of crappy luck is this?!

Your crappy luck I believe.

Damn it! If I'm going out like this, I'm doing this on my own terms!

Turning his head around, he sees the her back. The girl messing with her towel before it drops. Bucking wide, he snaps his head back around as the towel reveals her back and before it reveals below her waist.

"Laura!" He shouts making the girl shriek in surprise as she covers herself to go wide automatically sporting a blush.

"R-R-R-Relon?! What are you..." She pauses in realization. "You saw..." She mutters reaching for her weapon leaning against the wall.

"I swear I didn't see anything!" He shakes still with his back to her.

"Then what are you doing here?!" She exclaims pointing her sword at him with on hand, the other holding up a towel covering the girl.

"I came to check on you again since you weren't outside with Claire and Aunt Cecily! I didn't see you in here so I was about to leave, I swear! "

"... Did you see...?" She mutters with a glare not letting down her guard.

"See what? Your blue clothes or you?" He asks with pure fear in his voice, the blush on his face finally becoming visible.

"SO YOU DID SEE!" She charges.

"IT WASN'T MY INTENTION! I SWEAR!"

She's coming!

Snapping back, Relon rolls out of the way.

"LAURA, HEAR ME OUT!" He shouts rolling from another vertical strike.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU..." He gains a questionable look seeing the trembling girls form for her head to raise up revealing her expression pissed off with tears forming at the corner of eyes.

"Laura..." He mutters, his fear leaving as the girl raises her blade bringing it down.

As it does, Relon remains still looking past the incoming blade at the girl's eyes. Halting mere centimeters from his head, she pants heavily trying to keep herself together.

"Did you truly not mean for this to happen?" She mutters, her voice strained.

"Yes." He answers, slowly getting to his feet, he blade remaining poised on his face. "This was just a big misunderstanding." He states calmly. "I know with the given circumstances that it is difficult to believe but that's the honest truth.

"Quite."

"I've never had any ulterior motives."

"Then tell me why you are here." Her voice becoming calmer as well.

"I simply was worried for your well-being and came to see how you were doing as I stated earlier. This was just an unfortunate accident."

"Unfortunate for me that is." She mutters.

"Laura..." He sighs taking a breath before continuing. "We both know I'm not that kind of guy, right?" His blush remaining visible to the girl.

"... Correct..." She lowers her blade as he turns his head.

"I'm not some pervert. I really was just worried. Plus, I wouldn't want to deal with Uncle Victor and Klaus if they got word of this." He shivers.

"And what is to keep them from finding out?" Laura questions, Relon turning back face her slightly embarrassed expression. Her eyes not leaving him as he once again averts from the girl's gaze. "N-Nothing is. You have every right to do such and I'll just have to face the consequences." (If I don't die that is.)

"... Would you like to fix that outcome?" Her question gaining his attention but he remains focused away from her.

"Y-Yeah... What do you want me to do exactly?"

Feeling something poke his chest, he looks to see her finger poking him. Looking up, he sees her face brimming with the very visible red color at her cheeks.

"If you want to make it up to me then... succeed in today's battle and..."

"And...?" Looking up to him she pokes him again slightly harder.

"T-Take me somewhere once we both have free time! J-Just the t-two of us" She nearly shouts for him to widen.

"H-Huh?!"

"Did I stutter?! Are these conditions acceptable or not?" She averts her body glancing back at Relon who is at a loss for words.

What did I get myself into...?

If I were you, I would agree. You have already accepted similar conditions with Musse.

But this is different! This is just the two of us! Like a date! And reminder, I'm with Claire!

But she does not know that. I believe it would be most unwise to reveal that now considering the circumstances.

Tell me something I don't know!

Opening his eyes, he slowly glances to a patient and embarrassed Laura.

"F-Fine." He says in defeat.

"Really?" Laura turns around in disbelief of his answer. "I mean, ahem, a wise choice."

"Y-Yeah, now I'm going to leave so you can get dressed." He says already making his way over to the door. "Oh, and Laura?" He says over his shoulder with his eyes locked on the door.

"Y-Yes?"

"Seriously. Sorry about all of this."

"... Apology well accepted. Accidents happen after all."

Chuckling, he departs closing the door behind him.

My luck perceives me once again.

That is the undeniable truth.

Heading outside, it isn't long before Laura joins the rest. Both exchanging a look that changes to seriousness as they nod to the other. Glancing in the direction of the park, Relon rests a hand on Pippin's handle.

You feel it too, don't you?

Yeah, this overwhelming sense of worry. This is no anticipation. This is the coming storm.

One that shall strike unlike any other.

Ready?

The question is, are you?

If I wasn't I wouldn't have spent all morning and night dilly dallying.

"Is everyone ready?" Claire asks looking around to get nods in acknowledgement.

Instructor Sara should be on her way. I hope. Rean thinks for a familiar white-hair girl to come to his mind. Don't worry, Fie. We'll get through this.

Glancing around at the town, Relon looks over to see Cecily speaking with Silver and Blaze.

"You two are staying behind, right?" He asks walking over.

"Yeah, someone has to watch over the kids." Blaze answers.

"And the town for that matter since mom is going with you guys."

"Here's to hoping nothing happens this far out and any chaos that ensues remains within the park." Cecily notes.

Mi- ... No, I can do this. We can do this. No more having dad in my corner. I have my friends with me and we can do this.

With on last check, everyone heads off towards their destination.

Leaguient #25, Shifu... If you do show up, we're settling this once and for all! I'll make you sorry for even thinking about harming my home!
