Chapter 29
Author's Note : Thank you my readers. As always stay tuned. And Review!
"He does have a way with words. I can see why that drew you to him. And isn't exactly hard to look at. But that besides the point. Brooke you're father and i raised you to have a life and an existance that we gave you but so much more grand and long lasting. He's nice and suitable for a woman he who lives her who he probably already knows from school or some town event but not for a Davis." Vivtoria explained.
Brooke stared hard at her mother. Crossing her arms against her chest. I'm just waiting for daddy to appear. Because clearly you still see me and honestly believe what you say and what you do is going to somehow steer me in the direction towards the life you've envisioned. As if i'm a child or aimless teenager."
"I'm an adult fully capable of deciding what i want out of life on my own terms. Neither of you are capable of seeing Lucas as anything but a guy from a small town. Who isn't worthy of me. When that couldn't be farther from the truth."
"I'm in love with him. I always have been. You especially know that. What about what i want and what will make me happy. Daddy or you have never asked that once." Brooke said.
"Oh Brookie. My naive. Delustional. Stupid daughter. Every time you talk about him. You're eyes just light the first time i met Lucas Scott. I could tell completly love sick you were."
"Which is why my actions were justified. Sometimes parents need to take matters into their own hands. You don't like it or appreciate it yet i couldn't care less about that. This whole ongoing situation between the two of you is lust at day you will thank me Brooke. I didn't come all the way to be forgiven."
"Building a life and marrying for love is a childlike fantasy. In the real world happy endings don't exist."
"I thought you marrying Vince was a message stating you had come to you're senses. He could of given you everything." Victoria said.
"I married him spent years in a marriage i hated. Trying to please you and was an act of desperation. I wouldn't of had love or happiness with Vince so why stay. I can't stomach anymore of this. Get out and don't come back." Brooke stated. Turning around as she heard her mother walk towards the exit.
...
"I'm going to drop the two of you off at Brooke's. Theo is spending some extra time with his mom. So you'll see him in a few days. How was the community center.? Tell me everything.?" Lucas asked. Peering over to the backseat.
Where his children were seated.
"I had a way better time. Then i expected too. I made a friend and got invivted to movie night at my friend's house. I saw Lilly kissing some boy in the courtyard." Al said.
Lilly's eyes went wide. As she stared hard at Al.
Lucas suddenly stopped the car.
"What! You are 13 years old! You are far too young to be kissing or dating are well aware of the rules. No dating of any kind until you are 16 or have graduated high school first." Lucas scolded. Focusing his gaze on Lilly.
He then looked to Al.
"Thank you for being honest with me son." Lucas said.
When they eventually made it to Brooke's home.
Al rushed inside.
Lilly was now in passenger's seat.
"How long has this been going on.?" Lucas asked.
"A few weeks after you went 's not that big of a deal. All my friends on the cheer team are starting to date and you weren't around so." Lilly replied.
"Just because i wasn't present does not give you the right to do whatever you want without consequences." Lucas replied.
"You did exactly what you wanted. Until you were forced to stop. Yet i'm the one whose wrong. Ground me. Take away my phone and my laptop whatever." Lilly said. As she left the car. And entered the home.
