Chapter 38: Pregnancy: Month 7

Agent BM: Thx

February

Honey was now in her 7th month of pregnancy with only two more months to go. She was looking forward to actually seeing her new baby girl and holding and taking care of her. She was still a little nervous about the giving birth part, but the classes she was taking were helping.

She was feeling pretty good with her body limbering up, and she felt her baby kicking and punching more often. But she was also beginning to have pre-labour contractions. At first she was so scared, she made Zeke drive her to the clinic.

Luckily Dr. Brandon told her that the contractions weren't real ones, and that she and baby weren't in any danger.

At her appointment, Dr. Brandon took Honey's weight, a sample of blood, and urine.

"Sorry to barge in like that last week." Honey told him.

"Oh, it's no problem, Honey." Dr. Brandon replied.

"Just want to make sure this birth goes okay."

"I understand. By the way, now that you're in your 7th month, you'll have to come visit every other week."

"I'll do that." Honey replied.

When Dr. Brandon finished her exam, Honey left the clinic and went home. After she got home, Zeke wasn't back from work yet, so she went to the nursery. The room was finished, and Honey couldn't wait to put her new little girl in the crib.

"Hey, Honey." greeted Buzz, as he and the other bees flew into the room.

"Hi, guys."

"How'd your appointment go?" asked Bumble.

"Went fine, I'll be going more often though."

"Understandable." replied Stinger.

"Now I think I'm going to take a little nap." Honey told them, and she went to her room.

That night Honey and Zeke were in the living room. Honey was looking over a book about options about delivery, and Zeke was rubbing Honey's feet, which she really appreciated as they were a little sore.

"Thanks again for doing this, Zeke." Honey told him.

"It's no problem." he assured.

"I never knew there were so many options for delivery."

"Well whichever procedure you decide to get, I'll be behind you."

Honey smiled, but was still a little conflicted. So she decided that tomorrow she'd talk to her friends and see what they did with their births. The next day she did just that. In her calls, she learned that Candlehead had a natural birth.

Vanellope had an epidural, and Minty did a water birth. Each one mentioned the pros and cons of each, now Honey just had to do for herself. She decided not to do a water birth. And since this was her first she'd first try natural, and if she really needed it she's use drugs.

February 14th

When Valentine's Day came, Zeke had something special planned. When Honey woke up, he gave her breakfast in bed, pancakes and bacon with juice.

"Thank you, Zeke." Honey told him.

"Your welcome, and when you're finished I have another surprise."

And he left her to eat. As she did, her bees flew into the room.

"Morning, Honey." greeted Buzz.

"Hey guys." she greeted back.

"That's quite a breakfast." observed Bumble.

"Zeke made it, and he has another surprise."

"He's just spoiling you." replied Stinger.

"Hey, we're not complaining." Honey replied, putting a hand on her stomach.

After Honey finished breakfast, she put some clothes on, and went downstairs.

"Breakfast was delicious, Zeke."

"Glad you liked it. You ready for your other surprise?" Honey nodded excitedly.

And he held up three pieces of paper in his hand. One was a coupon for a spa day, and the other two were tickets to a show.

"You can spend the day getting relaxed and pampered, and we can spend the evening watching some theater."

"Zeke that sounds great. Thank you." Honey told him.

And they hugged and kissed.

At the spa Honey enjoyed the treatments. She got her feet massaged, and a manicure and pedicure. She really wanted a back massage, but her large belly wouldn't allow that. Luckily the spa had a special attachment where she could lie face down on the table, and her belly wouldn't bother her.

She really enjoyed the back massage, since her back had been killing her lately. After her day at the spa, she went back, home rested, then got dressed for the theater. Luckily she had a nice yet comfortable maternity dress she could wear, and she put on some black slip on shoes.

Then once both she and Zeke were dressed, they drove out to the theater in Portland. They saw the play, the Phantom of the Opera, and they enjoyed the acting and scenery. It was the second best Valentine's Day of Honey's life.
