Chapter 29

Regroup...

Donna nearly jumped out of her skin when a sudden loud bang broke the eerie silence. However, due to the echo that bounced up and down the metal halls, the young exile had no clue where it came from. All she could do was hope that whatever made that noise had no interest in her.

Allowing some time to pass, Donna lowered her guard and took a deep breath to calm herself down. She closed her eyes for a brief moment as she did this.

Once Donna calmed herself down and opened her eyes, Donna realized that she was in front of a door.

"What the?" Donna questioned herself.

Donna swore that mere seconds ago, she was standing in the middle of the hall, and not in front of a door. She took a step back in surprise but didn't freak out about it because she was sure of what was going on.

"I'm going insane down here." Donna commented to herself as she looked at the door.

The door itself was different from the others she had seen previously. The biggest difference being that this door was far heavier and blast-proof, that likely could take several hits even from her powerful sister, Wonder Woman.

Then again, with all of the mutants seen down here, it surprised Donna that she didn't see more of these throughout the place. In her mind, it would have likely kept these mutants contained.

However, the door wasn't what caught her eye. Instead, it was the signs posted by it.

"Warning." Donna quietly read out loud to herself, "Ahead, holding bay, device room, and the makers."

Donna looked at the sign, confused. She assumed that the holding bay was where the mutants had been held once they were first created. However, she had no clue as to what the 'device' or 'makers' were.

Donna also noticed a small, torn open hole at the bottom of the door, just large enough for her to crawl through. She stared at it for a moment before making a decision.

"Welp, I've come this far." Donna told herself, "No, turning back now."

As Donna crawled through the door, meanwhile, elsewhere in the underground facility, Terra and Beast Boy had both finally stopped shedding tears. And while Terra had calmed down, Beast Boy's anger had only continued to rise.

"I told him this would happen." Beast Boy said as he stood up and walked to the counter, "I fucking told him!"

Beast Boy then unleashed his anger by sending everything sitting on the counter flying in one swift motion. There was a large crash caused by this, but Beast Boy did not care.

"Beast Boy!" Terra called out, "Calm down!"

"No!" Beast Boy shouted in anger as he slammed his fist into the counter, "Robin's dead! And I fucking told him this would happen!"

Hearing any of the Titans curse always took Terra off guard. It was extremely unlike them to use that kind of language at all. And hearing Beast Boy swear so freely sent a wave of nervousness through Terra.

"There was nothing you could have done." Terra said as Beast Boy went behind the counter.

"I don't care about that!" Beast Boy shouted.

This took Terra off guard, as that was not what she expected to hear from him. She would have thought that Beast Boy would have put the blame on himself, but he wasn't doing that. That made Terra even more nervous.

"No! This is all fucking Polybius's fault!" Beast Boy angrily growled, "If he had only said yes to Donna, or had he acted like an adult and dealt with his fucking issues, we wouldn't be in this mess!"

Terra's nervousness was now also supplemented by confusion. She was blissfully unaware of the events that had transpired leading up to this. She did not know that Polybius had committed suicide, nor what happened between him and Donna.

"What?" Terra asked, "What happened between Polybius and Donna?"

"Donna fucking asked him out." Beast Boy answered, "He said no, and he ended up killing himself over it!"

Terra was shocked to hear that. She knew that Polybius and Donna were close but had no idea how close they actually were as she had never met Donna until today. However, she had a hard time believing what she was hearing and had a hunch that there was something Beast Boy wasn't telling her.

"That doesn't make any sense." Terra stated, "Why would Polybius kill himself over that?"

"Because he broke her heart." Beast Boy said, "He was so guilt-stricken about how badly he hurt her, he fucking offed himself because of it!"

"I think if he really did love her that much, he would have said yes." Terra stated.

"Well, he just had to be Mister Anti-relationship and be too much of a little bitch to man up and say yes!" Beast Boy angrily declared.

Terra recalled that he did not like being complimented on his looks, as she had accidentally done very early on. She also vaguely remembered Raven explaining to her that he did not like anything regarding or relating to sex, romance, and dating at all.

"Well, who are we to tell Polybius who to and not to love?" Terra asked.

Beast Boy looked at her, anger was still in his eyes, but she could see that he was trying to not direct it at her.

"I think Polybius should have taken a hit for the team and fucking done it." Beast Boy said, clearly struggling to hold his anger back, "Then Robin would be alive, Donna would be happy, and we wouldn't be in this huge fucking mess!"

"Polybius takes hits for the team all the time." Terra said, recalling just how tough he was, "Maybe, just for once, you all should have rolled with him and supported him."

"Well that doesn't matter now, does it?" Beast Boy asked.

"Yes it does!" Terra said, "Look around, Beast Boy! This has to be where Polybius is from! I mean, come on, there is an army of look-alikes and mutants here! I'm positive that if we look around down here, we will find out why Polybius doesn't like that stuff, and why he said 'no!'"

"You want to stay down here!?" Beast Boy asked.

"No!" Terra shouted, "I want to get out of here! I want to see the sunlight again! But we can't leave without the others! And who knows? Maybe we'll find some answers down here too!"

"That's what Robin said." Beast Boy stated, "And look where it got him."

"Are you seriously going to turn your back on your team!?" Terra asked, shocked.

"No!" Beast Boy said, "We've gotta find them, but we need weapons!" Beast Boy said, "We need fucking guns and a goddamn army."

"For what?" Terra asked.

"To exterminate every single look-alike and mutant down here." Beast Boy coldly stated.

Terra's eyes went wide with shock. Never in her entire life did she expect a Titan, especially Beast Boy, to say that.

"Beast Boy…" Terra started, a little lost for words, "That's… You're talking about genocide!"

"So?" Beast Boy asked.

"So!?" Terra repeated.

"They deserve it." Beast Boy bluntly and coldly stated.

"No they don't!" Terra said.

"I know you've been down here for God knows how long." Beast Boy started, "But you haven't seen what they've done to the world."

"What?" Terra asked, confused and blissfully unaware that the mutants had doubled down in Jump City.

"Well, for starters, they have diminished global confidence in heroes." Beast Boy said.

"Okay." Terra said, "That goes up and down, so?"

"So!?" Beast Boy asked, "This has gone down because the mutants and look-alikes took over Jump City by force, and both the Titans and the entire Justice League are powerless to stop them as they have done nothing but gone on a killing spree, killing literally millions!"

"Millions?" Terra asked.

"Millions!" Beast Boy asserted, "They've wiped out more than three-quarters of Jump City's people, and we can't stop them! Hell, we can barely even hurt them!"

"Okay, yeah, that is bad." Terra said, "But Beast Boy, you're talking about a genocide!"

"It would solve the problem, wouldn't it?" Beast Boy asked.

Terra fell silent as Beast Boy was technically correct. Killing all of the mutants and look-alikes would solve the problem.

"But what about the consequences?" Terra asked, "How will the world have any confidence in us as heroes if we just go out of our way to commit genocide?"

"Look, are you with me or not!? Beast Boy demanded, putting an effective end to the argument.

"Not if you're going to commit a genocide!" Terra shouted, "Even if everyone down here is a horrible person and or monster, that doesn't give us the right to exterminate them!"

Beast Boy then pulled out a long knife he had gotten from inside one of the cabinets while they were arguing.

"Then stay out of my way!" Beast Boy angrily shouted.

Before giving Terra a chance to respond, Beast Boy promptly turned and began to storm out of the cafeteria. He moved fast, but Terra was able to react.

"Beast Boy!" Terra shouted as she chased after him.

As Beast Boy ignored Terra and continued to storm, meanwhile, Raven felt her head pound as she slowly opened her eyes.

"Huh?" Raven questioned to herself as she looked around, her vision initially blurry but clearing up rapidly.

"Raven!" Starfire cheered.

Looking over to her left, Raven first saw her arm. She tried to move it but realized she was bound to the table she had been spread out on. Both her wrists and ankles were under tight metal bondage. If she had her powers, she would be able to easily break out of this.

However, she was currently powerless.

"Raven! Wake up!" Starfire's worried tone shouted.

"I'm up." Raven stated.

Looking around, Raven saw that she was in a dirty room. The smell of it all then hit her as the stench of rotting flesh filled the air. Fortunately, due to how long Raven had been down here, it didn't cause her to throw up as it would have likely done so a year ago.

"I know it smells bad." Starfire said as Raven let out an audible noise of disgust, "But that is the least of our worries right now!"

Looking back over at Starfire, Raven saw that she, too, was strapped to a table in the same places as herself.

"We need to get out of here!" Starfire said, "Look."

Starfire then nodded over to a wheeled medical cart. Raven looked over at it and saw a large array of tools, all of which would be used in surgery.

"I have a bad feeling that those are going to be used on us!" Starfire said, fear high in her tone.

As much as Raven wanted to tell Starfire that she was wrong, she couldn't help but agree. After everything the two of them had seen just getting down here, Raven knew that these look-alikes and mutants held back no punches and were above nothing.

"That is a correct assumption." A male voice suddenly spoke up as a door opened.

A Polybius-look-alike then entered the room, which was none other than Doctor Wojtek. He had traded out his more usual torn and tattered clothing for fresher, cleaner, and higher quality surgical clothing.

"I'm glad you two are awake." The look-alike said, "I am Doctor Wojtek, and I will be performing your autopsies in a few hours."

"Autopsies?" Raven asked, "Those are supposed to be done on dead people."

"Well, you see, I have yet to actually be given a chance to study the female body and anatomy." Doctor Wojtek stated, "I mean, yeah, being a doctor, I've read about it. But that's different from actually seeing the organs in person!"

Both Raven and Starfire had a title wave of fear wash over them as both of them began to desperately and helplessly struggle against their restraints.

"Now I know these tables are shit." Wojtek started, "But they'll hold, I promise. I made sure of it with patients far stronger than yourselves."

"Let us go!" Starfire ordered.

"Now, I was promised, two females." Wojtek stated, "And I have been dreaming about this for years! Like hell, I'm going to pass this chance up now!"

As Raven and Starfire helplessly struggled against their restraints, meanwhile Cyborg could smell something cooking. He knew it was some sort of meat, and he had a sneaking suspicion what meat it was and had no desire to see it.

However, what was starting to freak him out was that no matter where he went, the smell only got stronger. Even if he stopped, turned around, and walked in the opposite direction, the smell only got stronger.

And as Cyborg predicted, he did reach the source of it.

Peeking into a room that the smell seemed to be coming from, Cyborg initially couldn't see much due to the two people standing in front of the fire. However, what Cyborg did see was what looked like Robin's uniform, and no Robin in it.

"No." Cyborg said as he looked back at the fire.

As if on cue, the two men moved out of the way to reveal to Cyborg the decapitated corpse of Robin slowly being roasted over a fire.

Cyborg felt both his heart stop and jaw drop. It took him a moment to register the full gravity of the situation. However, when it did, Cyborg pulled himself back out into the hallway and leaned up against the wall.

"Robin…" Cyborg muttered out.

Cyborg then felt a surge of anger rush through him. He balled his fists as he decided on a set course of action.

Letting out a vicious battle cry, Cyborg charged into the room with the two look-alikes. He quickly rushed them and took both of them off guard.

Cyborg was quick to punch the first one in its face as hard as he could. This caused the look-alike to get sent flying into the fire and cause the setup that was supporting Robin's body to collapse on top of him, trapping the look-alike underneath.

Turning his attention to the second one, Cyborg was quick to uppercut the other one under his jaw. This sent the man flying across the room and sliding across a desk. However, as he slid, a sharp, broken part of the desk that was sticking up cut the man wide open as he slid right through it.

"Ah, ha, ha!" The look-alike cried out in pain as a lot of blood started pouring out of the long and fresh wound.

Cyborg didn't move to help the man, as he felt nothing but hatred for him. Robin was dead, and they had killed him and countless others. He deserved his fate as Cyborg now acknowledged the fact that these mutants had to be disposed of, and the look-alikes, at the very least, locked up forever.

Looking over at the body of Robin, Cyborg felt his heart sink as he couldn't give it a proper burial. However, there was one missing piece of the body that Cyborg couldn't locate.

"Where's his head?" Cyborg questioned quietly.

This question soon had its answer as Cyborg felt something bounce off his back, followed by an angry and challenging snarl.

Looking back at the door he had just stormed through, Cyborg saw the blade armed mutant standing in the doorway. He hadn't taken up a battle stance but instead was just staring into the room and at Cyborg.

"Oh, shoot." Cyborg whispered to himself as he took a step back.

The mutant didn't move as Cyborg moved back. However, as he did, the object that had been thrown at him came into view, and this caused Cyborg to stop.

It was Robin's head.

Looking down at it and then back up at the mutant, Cyborg realized that this mutant had to have been the one who killed Robin. Robin must have sacrificed himself in order to save the entire team.

The mutant then began to walk into the room, and Cyborg shifted his attention back to it. He felt his initial anger swell even higher and took up a battle stance.

"You want a fight!?" Cyborg shouted, "Well, you've got one!"

The blade armed mutant let out a vicious roar and began to pick up speed as it charged Cyborg.

"Come on then!" Cyborg challenged as he too began to charge the mutant, "Let's finish this!"

When the two met, The mutant attacked by swinging its blade arm at Cyborg. The Titan was easily able to doge this by leaving back far enough for the blade to harmlessly pass by. The mutant, unable to stop the swing, moved with the blade and showed its back to Cyborg.

Thinking he had an opening, Cyborg moved to attack the mutant. However, the mutant had one last trick up its sleeve.

Using a small abandoned in its back, the mutant then swung up a circular saw blade out of its back and swung it in an upwards motion at Cyborg, who moved back far enough not to get killed by it, but it did clip his chin.

Cyborg stepped back and felt the spot on his chin that the saw blade had managed to get. He felt a small chip in the metal there as the blade armed mutant charged Cyborg again. This time, it brought its massive blade up over its head and swung down on Cyborg. The metal Titan easily dodged this, and the blade crashed and got stuck in the wall.

Seeing an opening, Cyborg tried to take it, but the mutant responded by swiftly backhanding the Titan, causing him to stumbled back, giving it time to free itself. As soon as it was free from the wall, it rushed to attack Cyborg, this time trying to use its free hand to grab the metal Titan.

Cyborg, however, was able to punch the blade-armed mutant and cause it to give ground. Cyborg moved with it and pressed his attack. He began pounding it several times before the mutant could swing its saw blade around and force Cyborg to back up or risk getting cut to shreds by the saw blade.

Taking a step back, Cyborg watched as the mutant squared up with Cyborg, seemingly unaffected by the vicious attacks Cyborg had just unleashed upon it. This caused Cyborg to realize that if he wanted to win this fight, he would be better off trapping the mutant rather than fighting it.

As the mutant began to approach Cyborg, stomping its feet in anger as it did so, Cyborg glanced around the room, seeing if there was anything he could use to trap the mutant under.

Spotting a tall filing cabinet, Cyborg knew that if he could get the mutant on the floor and keep it there long enough, he could knock over the cabinet and stack a few items on top to keep it in place.

The mutant charged Cyborg and began to swing its blade, and just like before, Cyborg moved back, waited for the blade to pass, and then quickly grabbed hold of it before it could utilize its saw blade effectively, and threw it into the filing cabinet.

As Cyborg predicted, when it crashed into the filing cabinet, the cabinet fell on top of its blade arm. And as the mutant struggled to get itself free, Cyborg moved quickly to stack the desk, as well as another filing cabinet on top of the mutant, effectively pinning it to the ground.

The mutant let out vicious and angry roars as it struggled to free itself. And while it was slowly making progress of getting free, it would be a long time before it did. Cyborg stood over the mutant in triumph.

"Boyah!" Cyborg cried out in victory, pumping a fist into the air.

This moment of victory was short-lived, however. As Cyborg's attention then shifted back to Robin's head.

Cyborg approached it and fell to his knees once he reached the head. Fortunately for him, the head was face down, so he didn't have to see Robin's face, which was something Cyborg wasn't sure he could handle seeing.

"I'm sorry, Robin." Cyborg started, "I should have been there. I should have done something."

Cyborg bowed his head and closed his eyes for a moment before having a change of attitude.

"But I won't let your sacrifice go in vain." Cyborg promised, "I will lead the team, and we will bring down the mutants."

Cyborg then stood up as the mutant continued to hopelessly struggle against the heavy objects Cyborg had put on top of it. It let out another defiant roar as Cyborg approached Robin's torn and tattered uniform.

Cyborg then proceeded to take the R off the uniform to, at the very least, have something to remember Robin by.

The metal Titan then turned to leave but stopped right at the door. He turned back and looked at the mutant that he was sure killed Robin one last time.

"Don't get up." Cyborg warned.

With that, Cyborg left the room and closed the door behind him as the mutant continued to roar loudly and viciously.

Meanwhile, Raven and Starfire were both helpless against their captor, Doctor Wojtek. Fortunately for them, Doctor Wojtek was about to give them a time extension before he began on them.

"I do apologize." Doctor Wojtek said, "I know you two have waited patiently for this, but a priority patient has just come up, and, well. I've gotta deal with the two of them first, but I promise you, I'll get to you two right after dinner."

"Thank X'hal." Starfire whispered for the two of them.

However, while the two Titans had their seemingly inevitable fate delayed, their relief was short-lived, as the patients Doctor Wojtek was referring too, were assisted into the room.

The first person who walked in was a look-alike. However, he was being carried by two other look-alikes, as he was covered in bloody cuts and stab wounds. He was laid down on the table just ahead of the two females, who could see what was happening from where they were.

He was followed by the second patient, who was also a look-alike. He was able to walk on his own. However, he was holding his right arm in his left hand. Whatever had attacked him had cut his arm clean off, and now it needed to be reattached. However, his bleeding had stopped due to a well-placed turner kit that kept his blood inside his body.

"My goodness." Doctor Wojtek said as he began working on the one in a more critical state, "What happened to you two?"

"A little green fucker." The one missing an arm replied, "Ambushed us near the elevator shaft."

"Green fucker?" Starfire questioned, "Raven, do you think he is talking about-"

"Beast Boy." Raven answered, "I don't think so. Beast Boy isn't this violent."

"Green fucker?" Wojtek also questioned, pressing for more information.

"Yeah." The look-alike replied, "One of the outsiders. He's pissed at something."

"They're talking about Beast Boy." Raven said, now realizing what was going on.

"But Beast Boy would do that." Starfire said.

"Clearly, he did." Raven stated.

The two females continued to listen in on the conversation.

"He freaking came out of nowhere." The look-alike explained, "He had a blonde female behind him. She tried to get him to stop but did nothing except shout at him. I don't think she realizes that she is powerless to stop him."

"Well, how did the attack unfold?" Wojtek asked.

"Well, we were turning a corner when he rushed us." The look-alike explained, "He jumped on top of him and began stabbing and slicing him before I could even react. However, when I did, he, somehow, overpowered me and used a meat cleaver to cut off my arm."

"He overpowered you?" Wojtek asked, "He must have been high on adrenaline."

"Sure was." The look-alike agreed, "He was furious and shouting obscenities as he attacked us."

"Sounds like he was trying to kill you." Wojtek stated.

"We would have had it not been for all the noise he made when he attacked us." The look-alike explained, "Someone with an actual weapon responded quickly and wrestled him off of me, and threw him, and that girl he was with, into the elevator shaft, hopefully, killing him."

"Maybe." Wojtek stated, "But were there any search parties sent after him?"

"They were gathering people to head down there and make sure." The look-alike answered.

"Good." Wojtek stated, "Who the fuck is he to think he can come down here and tell us how to live our lives?"

As Raven and Starfire continued to listen to the conversations in shock, that Beast Boy did that, and that Terra allowed him to, Cyborg meanwhile, was roaming the halls when he came across what looked like fresh blood on the ground right in front of an elevator shaft.

Looking over at the elevator shaft, he could clearly see two people at the bottom he instantly recognized.

"Beast Boy!" Cyborg shouted, "Terra!"

The two looked up at their friend.

"Cyborg!" They both shouted in unison.

"Hold on!" Cyborg said, "I'll find something to get you two out of there."

As Cyborg searched meanwhile, Raven and Starfire continued to listen in on the conversation.

"Which elevator shaft were they thrown down?" Wojtek asked.

"B-6." The look-alike answered.

"B-6!?" Wojtek asked, stopping what he was doing and looking at the man, "Why did it have to be that one!?"

"What's wrong with B-6?" The look-alike asked.

"Nothing." Wojtek said, calming down and going back to his work, but clearly lying, "It's just… you know what's down there, right?"

"No." The look-alike answered, "It's forbidden that anyone go down there unless requested."

"Well, we all know you can go down there, doctor." The look-alike stated, "Why don't you go after him?"

"I will not." Wojtek stated, "I only go down there when asked. Otherwise, I'm just fine up here. I have my office, my tools, and all of my supplies up here. Why would I ever want to go down there?"

"Fair enough." The look-alike replied.

From there, the conversation between the two drifted elsewhere to matters that didn't concern or interest Raven or Starfire.

"We have to get to B-6." Starfire whispered over to Raven.

"First, we need to get out of here." Raven said.

As Raven and Starfire plotted their escape, Cyborg, meanwhile, had lowered a long electrical cable down to the two, who used it to climb back up. Once they did, they were all thrilled to see each other. However, their moment of happiness was short-lived, as Beast Boy turned the conversation.

"Cyborg!" Beast Boy started, "Robin's-"

"Dead." Cyborg stated, "I know."

There was a moment of silence for the fallen leader before Beast Boy spoke up.

"So now we've just gotta find the girls." Beast Boy stated.

"I think I know where they took Raven and Starfire." Terra spoke up.

"You do?" The two males questioned.

"Yeah." Terra said, "Somewhere, there is a doctor named 'Wojtek.' He's the go-to medical person down here. With all of those injuries, Beast Boy caused to those two, I'm sure that's where they were taken."

"But why would he have Raven or Starfire?" Cyborg questioned.

"When that other mutant came and attacked us in the room when we got all separated, Beast Boy and I ran into him." Terra explained, "And from everything I've heard about him, I'm sure it was no coincidence that he was there at the same time."

"So we're going to go fuck up Doctor Wojtek?" Beast Boy asked.

"If we are, then we shouldn't waste time." Cyborg said, "But do either of you know about the whereabouts of Wonder Girl?"

The two shook their heads.

"Great." Cyborg groaned, "Well, at least we have an idea so to where two of them are."

"Then let's go!" Beast Boy said, "The more time we waste, the higher the chance that they'll end up dead."

"Right." Cyborg agreed.

The group turned and looked around. They stopped themselves as neither Cyborg nor Beast Boy knew where Doctor Wojtek's office was.

"Uh." Cyborg started, "Which way is his office?"

"I think it's this way." Terra said, pointing down the hall, "Follow me!"

It didn't take the trio long to reach Wojtek's office. Turns out, it was only around the corner from the room they were hiding in earlier.

"This is it." Terra said, pointing at a signing hanging on the door outside the office, "Got his name right there."

"Then let's go." Beast Boy said, leading the way, with Cyborg right behind him, but Terra lagging behind.

The group entered the office and didn't see much. It had a desk and countless medical books and was surprisingly clean compared to the rest of the facility. However, there was a door on the far side of the office with a sign saying 'operating room' on it.

"Raven!" Beast Boy called out.

"Starfire!" Cyborg also called out.

Inside the operating room, the two females heard the males call out for them and grew excited.

"Cyborg, Beast Boy!" Starfire called out, "In here!"

They weren't the only ones who heard that, as Doctor Wojtek and the two look-alikes heard it. However, Wojtek didn't move as he continued to heal his patients.

Cyborg and Beast Boy were quick to burst into the room, bashing the door down. Wojtek stopped his work and looked at the door.

"Seriously?" Wojtek said, "It wasn't locked. And the handle worked just fine."

"Let them go!" Beast Boy demanded, pointing his knife at him, "Or else."

Both Raven and Starfire were shocked to see this side of Beast Boy. Never had they seen Beast Boy act like this, and wondered what had happened to cause him to start acting like this.

"I will not." Wojtek countered as he began working on his patient again, "I am a doctor. My first duty is to my patients. I must attend to these two first."

"Do it, or I'm going to slit your throat!" Beast Boy ordered.

"Do it." Wojtek dared.

Beast Boy stopped as he stared at the doctor. He was expecting him to cave to his demands, not calmly blow him off.

"Come on." Cyborg said as he moved to Starfire's restraints and began undoing them.

Beast Boy didn't take his eyes off the doctor as Cyborg freed Raven and Starfire. Wojtek, meanwhile, while upset about losing the two females, accepted it. As a doctor, his first priority was the well-being of his patients. He acknowledged that he had to put his own personal pursuit of knowledge and interests aside to fill the role he needed to fill.

Cyborg, Raven, and Starfire then moved past Beast Boy as they exited the room. Beast Boy, however, stayed behind, eyes locked on the doctor, but oddly, felt no anger.

"Come on, Beast Boy!" Terra called out, "Let's get out of here."

Beast Boy didn't move as he contemplated whether or not he should kill Wojtek. While he did want to, Wojtek's nobility had spoken to the youngest Titan.

"You had better listen to her." Wojtek said, "Donna is going to need your help."

"What do you know about Donna!?" Beast Boy demanded.

"That she's in for one wild ride." Wojtek stated.

"Where is she!?" Beast Boy demanded.

"I don't know." Wojtek answered, "I told her to go to elevator B-6. Whether or not she did that is beyond me."

Beast Boy finally lowered his knife and stared down at the doctor, who continued to work on his patient.

"How do I know you're not lying?" Beast Boy asked.

"You don't." Wojtek agreed, "But you'll still go down there just because I said it. And when you do, I would wish you luck, but that would be pointless."

"Why?" Beast Boy asked.

"Go find out for yourself." Wojtek said.

"Come on, Beast Boy." Terra said as she grabbed his arm, "Let's go. Starfire and Raven think they know where we need to go!"

Beast Boy didn't respond but let Terra drag him away. However, he never took his eyes off the doctor as he exited the room. Once he did and left Wojtek with his two patients, the look-alike who was missing an arm, spoke up.

"You're just going to allow that?" He asked.

"I am." Wojtek answered, "I am a doctor. My first duty is to you, then myself."

"Is it?" The look-alike asked.

"It is." Wojtek stated, "Besides, B-6 is something they will eventually go look at. Sooner or later, they will go down there. Might as well just speed up the inevitable."

And there you have it! Chapter 29! I hope you enjoyed this chapter, please, don't be afraid to let me know what you think in a review or PM so I can get an idea of how people are liking this. And as always, have a good one!
