FaithMcKoy asks:
From the way you ended this off, I expect a sequel. It was so nicely done! Are you planning on writing a sequel where it shows how everything has changed for everyone?
As of right now, I don't plan on writing a sequel. I mostly used the epilogue to touch on the subjects that didn't really fit within the timeframe of the main story, such as the birth of Tails' and Amy's child. Maybe somewhere down the line, I'll revisit this universe, but I don't plan on it for now.
DerekTheHedgehog asks:
When you finish your story, will I be allowed to make an alternate ending?
I'd appreciate it if you didn't. I don't doubt that you'd be able to write something cool, but I'd rather keep my story as my story alone.
DerekTheHedgehog asks (again):
Nice epilogue and nice way to end the story, I just wish you included what happened to Sonic. Did he manage to create a new identity and hide from others or did he somehow atone for his sins? It would be great to know.
I honestly wanted to include a mention of Sonic in the epilogue, but I couldn't really think where he'd fit in. I can give a little closure in my answer here, however. There was a reason why I included the line from Sonic where he says, "I can't exactly hide my speed. I live to run, and last time I checked, there aren't that many other supersonic hedgehogs out there". If given the choice, which he was, he wouldn't try to hide who he is like Tails did. I can't really say for sure what happened to him, I'm afraid. One story that I did have in mind was that he returned to Knothole, the hidden village that formerly housed the Freedom Fighters, and he operated as a vigilante, but as I mentioned in my answer to FaithMcKoy, I wasn't trying to set up a sequel, and that idea felt too much like a tease. Another, more depressing outcome I saw for him was that he went fully insane and committed suicide, but that felt too dark, even for this story. But, honestly, I'd love to hear any theories you (or anyone else) may have as to what happened to Sonic after he ran. Feel free to PM them to me, and who knows? Maybe, if there's one that I like enough, I'll write it into a Sonic-centric epilogue addendum. But, we'll just have to see!
And…. That's it for the questions, unfortunately, so I'll fill the rest of this extended Author's Note with a couple of updates for you. First, and probably most important to you, is that my next planned story will be based in the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic universe. I'm going to take a break next week, but the first chapter of that story will be coming the week after that. However, unlike Sonic and Pokémon, I'm well aware that MLP is probably not everyone's cup of tea, so I'm going to actually do other stories as well. Therefore, after the first chapter of the MLP story is uploaded in two weeks time, I'll be updating it every two weeks, but for the weeks in between, I'll be uploading other short one-shot stories (or chapters of a different story (if I decide to do one)). These one-shots will involve franchises I've covered before, like Sonic or Pokémon, and potentially some new ones. Some may link back to the universes from the previous stories as well, but I can't say for sure just yet.
I also want to be able to answer more questions, so provided I get questions to answer, I plan on adding Q&A sections to my Author's Notes (for questions related to a specific story) and to my bio (for more general questions). So, if you want something answered, send it to me in the reviews or as a PM, and I'll answer them weekly (as long as they're not too personal or inappropriate).
Well, that's all for now! I hope to see you in my next big story, coming in a couple of weeks! Ciao for now!
