After Y/N got done crafting the gear that was listed, she had begun on Kagome's solar bow. Using the materials from the many shops she visited before and bought from, she was using the smelter right now. Asashi stared wide-eyed and stood behind her, so had the blacksmith. They both watched in amaze, their eyes wavered with intrigue while the others watched from the sidelines.
Y/N wiped the sweat off her brow and smudges of black covered parts of her skin. She smiled real big at seeing the finishing piece when she pulled it out and stuck it in the large pale of water near her feet. Next, she began to use the hammer, leaning from side to side every now and then to check and make sure it was measured to her liking.
The final piece was the containment that held the solar energy. Two slots were on the containment; the bottom slot where it was meant to attach to the outside of the bow and the upper slot where she would slide on the Plexiglas, after the solar charger piece was placed inside of the rectangular hole.
Next, was to put the recently made finger-sized solar panels and conductors inside the hole. The conductors consisted of copper and aluminum wires with a high powered device that she made, meant to use the beams from the sun instead of the electricity itself. Those foreign materials she didn't list off the day before, had already been made by combining countless metals together in the smelter. "Now, for the finishing touch on the bow!" she lifted her voice with excitement and carefully put the finger-sized solar panels, conductors, and foreign metal that only Ketix know how to make, into the small hole.
The items she placed in there were so tiny, she had to use metal chopsticks to slip them in. It took a bit to connect the wires, which was the most critical and dangerous part... Because one mess up and she'd go flying across the room if the sun had beamed in just in time. Slowly, with much thinner metal chopsticks than before and more sweat rolling down her face, her stare grew more intense the closer she got with connecting them. I can do this, it will work! It has to! she exclaimed in her mind, feeling the suspense getting the better of her.
Even the others were on the edge of their seats! ( just an expression. xD) Anyway, Jaken's eyes were huge, astonished even and he grew worried that something might happen. He hid behind Sesshomaru and Rin stared in anticipation, her brown eyes twinkling all the while. Asashi's orange eyes widened and he knelt down; just by looking at her concerned yet, deeply focused expression, and her careful movements. He could tell this part was a dangerous task, so he hoped nothing would go wrong.
His eyes were fixated on the wires now, he inched closer to the finishing piece, looking comical in his position because of how on edge he seemed. The blacksmith had a confused expression, but just by seeing Asashi's anticipated features along with everyone else's, he had a feeling that this was a critical moment.
Sesshomaru stood interested in her craftsmanship, his golden eyes lingered on her beautiful alien ones and darted from them to the piece she was working on. Obsidian had an index finger to his chin; even though he couldn't see, the light sound waves around him that gave him enough vision, allowed him to see the postures of everyone around Y/N. "AAAND..." Y/N began, attached the wires together and froze for a moment. When nothing happened, she sighed out of relief and laughed. "Damn, that was actually pretty intense! For a second there I thought the wires would negatively react!" she nervously laughed and wiped more sweat from her face. "Now I just need to add more wires around the outside of the bow and connect them to the arrow-slip I decided to make for the arrows," she added, lifting the bow up after putting the Plexiglas over the hole.
Quickly she started to attach the wires on the bow, then placing a metal sheet specifically molded into the shape of the bow's width and height. The sheet laid over the wires after she connected the wires with the ones in the solar containment she made. Then, to finish it up, the wires on the outside of the bow that were covered by pieces of metal, connected to the arrow-slip she made.
The arrow-slip is the slot where Kagome could put her arrows through to balance it easier and have more of an accurate aim. Then she added a sight made of Plexiglas, with black, thick paint that was used to measure the distance or height of how far Kagome could shoot.
Once the bow was finished, she held it up and smiled brightly. "It's done! Now I just need to make arrows! Shouldn't be too hard and shouldn't take too long! I'll make about...fifty arrows at best with the leftover materials I have," Then she got to it. She made the arrowheads out of the foreign metal she made, put thin glass around them, and placed each arrow next to the bow when she'd get done making one.
Arrow after arrow she made until she finally hit fifty. When she got done, she stared in awe at her work. The reason why Kagome wasn't with them right now, was because of Inuyasha who refused to let her wander through the marketing district with them. So they stayed behind at Obi's house, waiting for them to return. "Thanks, Torgadi!" she gleefully smiled then picked up the bow and arrows.
"I'm amazed at such a craft...! You must tell me how you did it and if it serves its purpose!" he was excited. To come across a new discovery in craftsmanship, made him want to learn how to make such things. He stepped closer to examine the bow without touching it and heard Y/N reply.
"Sorry, it wouldn't be a secret passed down through generations, if I told you. Anyway, thank you for letting me use your forge! We better head back, I'm sure my friend just can't wait!" she stated with excitement and ran past the awestruck group, well..aside from Sesshi... Torgadi called out for her to wait but it was too late, she already ran out.
Instantly Sesshi vanished after picking Rin up, which caused the girl to squeak in surprise. Obi just chuckled, watched Jaken holler out with wait for me, my lord! and saw his little legs stride out of the shop. Asashi sighed and smirked, he was glad he got to see such a craft be made before his eyes.
"Thank you for your time, Torgadi..." The Ketix bowed in respect slightly and fast walked out of the room, while Obi kept his smirk plastered. The batman also trotted on out of the shop, leaving an astonished blacksmith there to ponder on what had just happened.
As Y/N sprinted with the bow and arrows in hand, she ran into a someone and almost toppled over on her butt...if it weren't for another person catching her by the shoulders. "You're that young woman from the ball..." A familiar voice rang and caused her to look. Ahead of her was a strange woman in a green kimono, with dark green maple leaf designs on it. She had blue-ish green hair that fell past her shoulders, vampire white skin, held a parasol above her head, and her eyes were dark green. Behind her was Shishi, Y/N could only assume those two were hanging out or something. Y/N turned around and saw Shishi stare at her with those red-slit eyes and emotionless face.
"Oh, hi. Yeah, it's nice to see you again. So, why are you out here?" Y/N asked with a blink of her eyes and saw her point at the other woman.
"My aunt is spending time with me..." she answered, only to notice the bow and arrows in her grasp. "Those... Look complicated to create. Did you make them?" she asked with her monotonous voice and stared at the weapon.
"Huh? Oh, yeah I just got done making them! They're for a friend," Y/N replied, albeit curious as to why she was talking to her. She guessed Queen Suji wasn't kidding when she claimed that Shishi didn't like parties. She turned to face her aunt and gave a slight bow with a friendly smile. "I'm Y/N, nice to meet ya! So, are you like, Queen Suji's sister ooor...?" A brow lifted in curiosity, she wondered why her aunt hadn't shown up at the ball.
"Queen Suji's husband's sister. Her children mostly took after her..." The aunt looked off to the side with a sweatdrop and narrowed her eyes, only to view the half breed once more. "I'm lady Kurimi Suji, Queen Suji took my brother's last name..." Her eyes grew dark when she mentioned the Queen and anger filled her eyes. Apparently, she hated the woman...or so Y/N assumed. "Queen Kurochi Suji is a woman of great mystery..." Seething could be heard in her voice after she closed her eyes.
"Well, I better get going! Nice meeting ya, lady Kurimi!" Y/N ran past them both and Shishi simply waved in chibi form. When Kurimi watched her backside retreat with the rest of the group tailing after her, she hummed in thought.
"Is she the one you mentioned was a half breed, Shishi?" she questioned her niece and blinked curiously. All she heard was a yes from behind and when she fully faced the direction Y/N ran in, she lifted a brow. Inside her long, green sleeves, one of her fingers twitched and formed into a needle that seemed similar to a mosquito's. It wasn't as long, it was well hidden within her sleeve and someone would have to look real close to notice it wasn't a normal finger. Of course, Shishi didn't notice this, she seemed too interested in a candy-stand nearby.
~Le time skip! Brought to you by Sesshomaru who keeps stomping on Obsidian with one foot XD.~
Sesshomaru, who had sat down at the table across from Inuyasha, kept his eyes on the bow and arrows. Kagome smiled real big and laughed, she was so excited. Obsidian had his Sebastian smirk going, while Inuyasha appeared awestruck and frozen on his seat. "How long did this take you?!" Inu exclaimed in shock, while Rin and Y/N drew together outside in the dirt with sticks.
They were laughing at some of the silly things they were drawing and it could be heard from where the group sat. Sure, they could draw with paper and a feather dipped in ink, but nothing beat drawing in the dirt right now.~
Asashi kept his orange eyes on his pupil with folded arms and were seen leaning against the wall inside. The sliding door remained open so those two would be in their sights. "Oh, about two hours maybe? Maybe longer? I lost track after I got done making the scheduled gear on Torgadi's list," Y/N answered back when she peeked over her shoulder at them. "Kagome, why not give it a shot? Maybe...shoot the rocks near the waterfall over there and see if you like it!" A big grin formed on her lips after she suggested that.
"Heck yeah!" With excitement, Kagome did exactly that. She took the bow and arrows, ran outside past Y/N and Rin, then immediately took aim by pulling the arrow back through the arrow-slip. Everyone ran out to watch, except Asashi and Sesshi, they walked... There she formed her sacred arrow; when she did though, not only did it start glowing its usual purple color but it got mixed with yellow.
The yellow was the solar charges coating the arrowhead. Her brown eyes twinkled in awe, she couldn't believe it was working! Now, to see what it could do... The moment she released it, the arrow flew, pierced a rock and made a long crack crawl all the way up. For a moment nothing happened until that said rock blew up...making countless other pebbles soar in different directions.
"The sun beams in my guns are almost as hot as the sun. Meaning, it can pierce through even the toughest metal because of how quick it would melt upon impact... So hitting the rock and piercing it like that, it's not surprising it'd make a crack on it. But, to think it blew up?! Must've been the heat that got built up inside..." Y/N said, flabbergasted at the sight. Kagome stood wide-eyed at the test, Sesshomaru was even impressed despite he, himself, could easily cut through that rock with a simple swipe of his blade.
"Will you craft me a Ketix dagger, Y/N?" Asashi, out of the sheer silence, had spoken up with shocked features. "I have yet to have my own blade..." he sighed, feeling a little jealous that she made Kagome's bow into a Ketix weapon. He didn't know what a Ketix weapon did or what its damage output was, but he believed now, that it'd help him a lot. Seeing the demonstration before his eyes, he wanted one so badly now. He was like a child that had just seen something really cool and wanted one for himself. Rin and Jaken both stood in surprise, not realizing they were both comically hugging each other.
"How dare you grasp me like that!" Jaken pushed the girl away and humphed with a quick fold of his arms. He turned away and closed his eyes, embarrassed that he reacted in such a way. Rin only blinked, then laughed at his behavior.
