Mother Talzin paced. The weakling child of hers had to be the only other female of her bloodline. Of course the spirits would do that to her.

First it was the orange son who was given to the village. Then her beautiful red child Maul who had so much potential was taken from her by Sidious who was supposed to teach HER. Then the child who should have been a girl to help with her revenge was a boy too weak to be bothered with feeding. Finally she had had a girl, but when the three year old child was left to be purified after a punishment for weakness that Colniac Sacar dared to take and hide her.

By the time Talzin had found her daughter it was too late to teach the girl. But her blood was still powerful, and could be used to bring power back to the sisters as well as to ensure a proper from Talzins own womb. This time Savage spoiled the sacrifice by freeing the girl and taking her with him and Maul far away from Talzin's reach.

Now Talzin knew to call the girl, but she refused to answer. Somehow she was blocking Talzin's words from her mind even if that should be impossible. Blood magic cannot be refused.

The magic had worked, Talzin had felt the presence of her daughter. But there was no active communication. No way to speak to her, give her orders as there should be.

And to make it worse just as the girl fell into sleep she fell into an impenetrable bubble of safety. So even then Talzin could not use the fear to get her message across. The frustration was not something that Talzin was used to, no one held up against her for this long.

As if on cue a message from Ventress beeped on Talzin's communicator, "Yes Daughter?"

"Mother," Ventress looked disgusted, "there are rumors that the girl, Lyni, is mated to a clone. Do you know if this is true?"

Talzin looked sharply at her, "No, I do not daughter." Then she gave an evil smile, "But it gives me the perfect way to use my sons for our purposes."
