A/N: Hippity Hoppity, TT and YJ are not my property.

Just wanted to give another "Thank You" to everyone who interacts with this story.

Derek: Okay, okay, I'll stop that. Introductions will be in order, don't you worry. And I'm still deciding on how the others will react to his return.

LostHour: So I was right. But hey, what's done is done. And I forgot about the multiple Mumbos. But the hat was ripped, and I didn't make any hint to there being another Mumbo, so bringing that up would probably be a bit odd and kind of a cop-out or whatever. But I like your thinking.

Eris: Let's get through the battle first, then we'll see what happens.

The Cheeze Is Real: Actually, I was planning on something like that. And don't worry; I have NO intentions of stopping this story soon.

Nivado111: I don't exactly see how I hinted RobRae, but maybe I'm just overlooking it. But yeah, I like when other writer's show BB's experiences during the episode. And you'll find out once you read this chapter.

Chapter 29:

"Hey guys, you need a hand?".

A group of four teens descended to the ground and formed a barricade in front of the exhausted heroes. There was a strong looking boy wearing what appeared to be regular clothes, a teen in a yellow and red suit, a floating girl with green skin, and another green skinned teen that they would recognize anywhere. Small explosions erupted from behind the robot army, and Cyborg used his electronic eye to make out a girl with a bow and arrow and...Robin?

Three of the new heroes rushed into the battle and destroyed the Light-bots with speed, strength, and telekinetic abilities beyond anything the Titans had faced before. Beast Boy, on the other hand, rushed to his downed team.

"What's going on?" Robin asked. "I'll explain everything. But for now, don't speak." he said. "Just think." he added without moving his lips.

A shadow was casted over the six teens; the cause a red spaceship. A hole formed in the hull and dumped scores of gallons of water. A boy with a red shirt rode the falling stream like a master surfboarder, using two hilts to manipulate the water's shape.

"Now it's a party." the green teen stated in the link. "Superboy! Help me load them into Bioship." Beast Boy ordered. A powerful shout echoed from the battlefield, and the black shirted teen landed with a crash next to the green teen. The red ship descended and rotated to allow access to the ramp.

Superboy picked up Robin and Cyborg while Beast Boy carried Raven bridal style into the ship. In his rush, he never noticed her look up at his as if she were seeing him for the first time in years before closing her eyes. Inside the ship, slabs extended from the walls to be used as makeshift cots that wrapped tendrils around the passengers to form X shaped belts. The two ran back to grab Starfire and Jinx, who were quickly loaded and secured in a similar fashion.

"How's everything going out there?" Beast Boy asked through the link. "Just fine and dandy!" Kid Flash replied. "Well, I'm almost out of arrows, but Robin and I have taken out our fair share." Artemis added. The green teen turned to address the half kryptonian. "If this ship has any sort of auto-pilot, have it fly to a safe distance and stay there until called." Beast Boy ordered before rushing back into the fight. "You heard him." Superboy said as if he was addressing Bioship. He too ran out, and the ship took to the skies without anyone piloting it.

The battle was actually going well for the team. The only issue was the remaining dozen and a half robots had formed a circle around Doctor Light and were firing in patterns that made penetration too risky to try for anyone without super endurance. And even then, there was still the shield to deal with.

"Bioship's taking care of your friends." Superboy announced to the changeling. "Good." he replied. The two got closer to the last stand, and an unorthodox plan started brewing inside the green teen's mind. "Throw me." the green teen ordered out of the blue. "What?" the teen asked. His enhanced hearing had never let him down, but there was a first for everything. "This battle has obviously been going on for a while. And if that shield has stayed up, it has to be designed to allow exchange of fresh and old air. If you throw me in his direction, I can morph into an amoeba or something and hopefully find an opening." Beast Boy explained.

"Okay, but don't blame it on me if you become a green smear." Superboy replied. The green teen and Superboy joined hands. With a circular spin before letting go, Beast Boy was sent flying through the air with speeds usually reserved for racecars. With seconds to spare he changed into a single celled organism and was sucked through a barely macroscopic seam within the shield. No one had noticed this development, so the element of surprise gave him an enormous edge when he materialized behind the villain.

"It's over Light." he growled. The fiend frightenedly turned around to his adversary and almost completely paled. "Ho-how d-did you?" he stammered. "That's a trade secret that'll never see the light of day." he replied with a sinister smile. "Turn off the shield and the robots, and maybe I'll let you off easy.".

"You may be within my protective barrier, but you still have to get through me!" he retorted. Light threw a punch that was too easily grabbed by the green teen. "I'm going to skip to strike two." he threatened. His mouth grew and expanded as his human mouthpieces were replaced with terrifying insectile jaws. A disgusting symphony of wet sucking noises were emitted from the shifting mantid jaws, and Light couldn't help but feel obliged to comply with Beast Boy's earlier demand.

A few button presses on the gauntlet later, the robots deactivated and slumped before falling. Beast Boy reached out to test the shield, but met no resistance or outside forces. With a quick turn he ripped the control pad from the gauntlet, removing any chances of something being reactivated. The police, who had been there the whole time, walked up and took away the criminal. "Thanks for the help." Kid Flash sarcastically said. "Sorry, but we didn't want to risk hitting you or having something ricochet." one of the detainers offered before throwing the villain into the van.

"C'mon, we need to get to the tower." Beast Boy declared. M'gann called Bioship and the team entered. The giant T shaped tower was hard to miss, so Beast Boy let Miss Martian take over for a while so he could check on his team. All were still breathing, but most were unconscious. Raven was in a healing trance, and only Cyborg was still awake thanks to his mechanical parts.

"Hey Grass Stain." the cybernetic man coughed out. "Hey Tin Man. It's been a hot minute." the changeling replied. "Sure has. You have a lot of explaining to do once we fix up the others." Cyborg responded. "We're just about there." Artemis announced from over his shoulder. "Thanks. Have M'gann land on the roof. I'll need some help getting them inside and wrapped up." Beast Boy said. Per his request, the Bioship came to a stop on top of the tower. Beast Boy carried Raven bridal style again while Artemis carried Jinx, Kaldur grabbed Starfire, Robin carried Robin, and M'gann helped steady Cyborg with her telekinesis. Superboy quickly grabbed the clothes and wrapped up contents before following.

The team traversed the halls and finally got to the medical bay. Each Titan was placed on a bed except for Cyborg, who sat at a computer system. "They're all fine. Just exhaustion, dehydration, and maybe a few other scrapes and sores. But the burns are another story. We'll need Raven to deal with those." the metallic teen offered after scanning each teammate. Beast Boy carefully examined each of his friends. He didn't want to think about what would have happened if he actually ran off like Omari suggested.

"You want to take these or should I set them down?" the half kryptonian asked. The question brought him out of his thoughts, and he saw the items Superboy was holding out to him. "I'll take them. Thanks.". He reached out and carefully grabbed his new possessions and left for his room.

Something had changed in his room. The piles were strewn around differently, and it looked like someone had been in his closet. Of course, he probably would have gone digging around if any of his teammates left. He just placed everything on his bed and left, intending to return to the medical bay. He had gotten to the common room when he ran into Superboy and Kid Flash.

"What's up guys?". "Well, Cyborg and Robin each have more medical experience than the rest of us combined, so they figured they could handle it." Kid Flash explained before zooming to the fridge. "Got any good eats?" the speedster asked. "We got some meat, tofu, and stuff you don't want to think about eating. Courtesy of Starfire." Beast Boy replied. "Come with me." Superboy requested.

The half human led the Titan back to the roof. "What's up?" the green one asked. "I know it's not a happy subject, but what did you mean by that comment about waking up in a laboratory? I kind of take that stuff personally from experience.". "It's nothing. Really." Beast Boy replied a bit too quickly. "C'mon, you already know my story, and it's clear something happened. And from one lab rat to another, this will be our secret." the teen offered. Beast Boy sighed and walked to the edge, where he sat down and let his feet dangle.

"I wasn't always green. I was normal. I was your everyday, run of the mill kid. But one day I was bitten by a monkey infected with a deadly disease. I passed out just as my parents found me and awoke in my dad's lab. They were both scientists. Geneticists, oddly enough. Anyway, when I woke up I was pretty close to death, so they tried some project they hadn't even finished yet. It was supposed to temporarily incorporate DNA from certain organisms that were unaffected by the disease into my DNA.".

Beast Boy sat in silence for a few seconds, whereas Superboy just gave him time to finish his story. "But what they didn't count on was the 'temporary' side effects becoming permanent. And it hurt, a lot. I passed out again from the pain, and apparently slept for a day and a half. When I woke up, I was all green. Ears, hair, skin. Everything. They never returned to normal. So when I said I wasn't literally born in a lab, the person I am today kinda was.".

The half kryptonian took a seat next to the green teen and offered his thoughts. "Sucks, doesn't it? Knowing you're basically less than human." he rhetorically asked. Beast Boy just shrugged, and Superboy continued. "That's what I thought too. That I was nothing more than a Dollar Store version of everyone's favorite hero. A cheap rip-off of a name brand. But in a way, Cadmus Labs made me who I am. I was designed to be a weapon, but I wanted to be something else. With the help of my team, I became something more than I ever would have become if I was a regular person. I think the same applies for you. You were turned into something most people would see as less than human, so you strived to become more than human.".

Beast Boy turned to the half kryptonian, and gave him a serious look. "I understand what you're saying, but I didn't exactly choose the hero life. It was kind of forced on me." he replied. He had been taken in by Mento, then the Titans. And this was after the years of abuse from Galtry and the thieves because of what he was. If anything, he had only wanted to be normal for the longest time. "You may think that, but take a look back and ask yourself how many times you could have become the villain instead of the good guy." Superboy said before heading inside.

For several minutes the green teen sat there, taking his advice. Looking back, he realized he could have killed Galtry many times over. He could have joined the thieves, or killed them as easily as his abusive guardian. Whenever Mento told him to fight back in training, he could have taken it much, much farther than necessary. Superboy had a point; he had chosen the hero life, even if unintentional.

Remembering why the others were at the tower, Beast Boy stood up and ran back to the medical bay, where he was greeted by Cyborg and the other Robin. "How's everyone doing?".

"Raven's almost completely healed, and we've bandaged up the others. I just need to wrap up myself and replace a few parts." Cyborg replied. Beast Boy let out a huge sigh of relief as his friend started making some minor repairs. At some point he had managed to replace his arm. "I'll give you some time." the new Robin offered before leaving the med bay.

Raven slowly stirred, and sat up with a groan. "How you doing?" the metal teen asked. "I'm fine, thanks to..." she started before remembering the last thing she saw before going under. Her head turned slowly; barely perceivable. Faster then he could see, she had pushed him against the wall and placed her hands on his face. Rougher than necessary, she skimmed her hands across his skin as if testing his physicality.

"Raven? Rae, it's really me." he managed to get out as a hand ran over his mouth. After another handful of seconds of feeling he reached up and softly grasped her wrists. "I know I have a lot of explaining to do, but you should probably help the others first." he tried to reason. "A lot? That's the understatement of the year." Cyborg retorted under his breath. Beast Boy turned and gave him a quick disapproving stare that quieted him down. "Take your time and do whatever you can to heal them." the changeling requested with a pointing finger aimed at their three friends. "I'll explain everything once they're awake as well." he added for incentive.

"You had better have some good stories." Raven replied. With a quick turn she faced the three unconscious Titans and walked over to Jinx. A familiar blue glow spread from her wrist all the way to the tips of her fingers. As the half demon held her hands over Jinx's body the more noticeable injuries slowly faded until nothing was visible. "I'll go up and see if I can help the others. Tell them to come up when they're feeling better." the changeling said. After receiving an affirmative from Cyborg, Beast Boy returned to the commons room where the six heroes had collected.

"How're they doing?" M'gann asked worriedly. "They'll be fine. Raven's helping them." Beast Boy replied as he walked to the table. For the first time he noticed his translation book was on the table. But then again, he had other things on his mind the last few times he had passed through the room. "So, what now?" Robin asked his leader. "I would like to stay until the Titans are well. There are a few matters we should discuss." Kaldur explained.

"If we're going to wait, can we boot up this game system?" Kid Flash questioned from over by the television. "Sure." the green offered. Within a few minutes five of the heroes were taking turns playing games. Kaldur stood by the side with an uninterested attitude, and Superboy just watched with the knowledge he would probably break the controller. Thirty minutes had passed, and Beast Boy was watching when he decided to check on his team.

"I'll be back." he offered. Once again walking to the infirmary, he started pondering what was going to happen. Obviously, Kaldur was going to urge the other Titans to turn him in, not that he didn't have a good reason. But even if he didn't, there had to be someone who saw him and the others enter the battle. Before his thoughts could go too deep he found himself standing outside the doors to the medical bay. When he walked in he was greeted by the sight of Jinx, Robin, and Cyborg watching as Raven worked on now conscious Starfire.

"Friend Beast Boy?" the alien thought aloud. The two restored Titans both turned around with blinding speed. "Hey guys. How y'all feeling?" the green teen replied. "Better thanks to Raven, you, and your new friends." Robin responded. The blue glow on the empath's hands faded in indication that everyone was fully healed.

"Time for you to explain." Raven practically demanded as she approached the changeling. "Let's take it upstairs. The others have matters they want to discuss as well." Beast Boy offered. The six heroes ventured out to join the new team, eager to hear whatever stories their teammate might be about to tell.

A/N: Once again, this is somewhat of a cliffhanger. Also, is it required that I change this to a TT/YJ crossover? I might at least put it in the description. Have a good day everyone! I hope you're enjoying the story still!
