Chapter 33

New York City

Awhile Later

"Smores by the fireplace. So simple and sweet. A nod to our past. Late nights talking in whispers cuddled up on the couch or in bed. Not wanting to sleep. Even though we had already spent the entire day together. I never we would get back there. Being so in love and connected." Brooke said. Smiling happily at the memory.

Lucas smiled back at her. Leaning over kissing her.

Brooke kissed him back. Pulling him closer to her.

"We've had memorable moments in front of a fireplace before. But this one coming up. Will top any of the others." He said. Turning from her. As he got out the ring box from his pocket.

Brooke swallowed hard. Her eyes going wide. As an epression of shock and surprise went across her face. Unshed tears welled up in her eyes as she listened to him.

"You are and continue to be my light. Joy. Peace. You are the love of my life. The heart and soul of our family. I've been waiting to ask you this for a long time now. Brooke Penelope Davis will you marry me.?" Lucas asked. The emotion in his voice thick.

Brooke nodded her head. Tears falling from her eyes.

"Yes. Of course. I love you!" She replied.

Lucas took her hand in his. Slipping the ring on her finger.

Lucas cupped her face in his. Kissing her hard.

Brooke kissed him back. Soon they pulled apart and left the living room. Putting out the fire and turning off the lights as they went up the stairs.

Holding hands as they reached the hallway. Once they got into their bedroom. The door was closed and locked.

Their eyes locked on each other.

Lucas took off her purple sweater. Tossing it the floor.

She pulled off his shirt. Running her hands over his bare chest.

"I learned to love because of you." Lucas said. Wrapping her in his arms.

Brooke her gaze on him. Allowing herself to be picked up and carried towards the bed.

He laid her down gently. His gaze never leaving her.

Lucas stared down at her.

"You taught me what love was. Real unconditional love." Brooke replied.

As he leaned down reconnecting their lips.

The two removed the remaining layers seperating them.

Relearning and enjoying each other in a way you only did when you were in love.

...

Sometime Later

Lucas kissed her hard. Running his hands through her sweat soaked hair.

Brooke kissed him back. Placing kissing all over his chest.

They found themselves entangled in each other. Until there was no energy left inside either of them.

"Okay at some point this bubble is going to pop and we're going to be back at home. We're really engaged right.? I know i made it seem like it didn't matter at this point. I'm grateful and thankful for how far we've come. And i don't need to be married to show my commitment to you or us but." Brooke stated.

"You're happy. Overjoyed that we finally made it here. Despite everything that has been an obstacle. To get to this point." Lucas said.

"Exactly. Being husband and wife. Just makes our love and family that much more solid. And that is more then i could of ever dreamed of. I'm counting down the days to becoming Mrs. Brooke Davis - Scott." Brooke replied. With a bright smile.

Tree Hill

The Scott/Davis Home

"I knew there was more going on here then a movie night." Haley James Scott said. As she bypassed the teenagers. And strong smell of smoke and alcohol at every turn.

"High school parties. I loved them. Alot of memories happened for me during them back then. Anyway we need to find. Ry, Ken, Ans Rosey. This party needs to be shut down." Nathan stated.

"I'll take upstairs. You look downstairs." Haley instructed.

Nathan nodded his head in agreement. And began searching the various faces throughout the home.

...

"Uncle Nathan. What are you doing here.? Did you bring aunt Haley with you.?" Ryan asked.

"Yes i did. What's going on here Ry.?" Nathan asked.

"It wasn't supposed to turn into this huge mess. We had things planned out for a small party but those people invited other people." Ryan explained.

"Okay sure i get that. But considering everyone here is under age. I would say get rid of the alcohol and whatever is causing that strong smoke smell because that's going to get everyone in trouble." Nathan advised.

"I thought this wasn't actually happening. You and aunt Haley being here is never a positive sign. Why are the two of you really here.?" Kennedy asked.

"The police called the both of us. And they called you're parents too. Certain neigbors complained about the noise. Instead of the cops coming here they told us to shut things down since we know the officer involved he won't press charges as long as everything ends now." Nathan said.

The brothers breathed deeply. And looked around the room.

"We'll get everyone out of here." Ryan replied.

"We appreciate the both of you coming over and helping the best way you can." Kennedy said.

...

After looking in both boys rooms and finding teenagers in there that Haley shooed away. All that was left was Rosemary's room.

Haley knocked twice then entered after not getting a response.

Hearing the door swing open. Caused Rosemary to jump. Her eyes wide.

"Rose we have a visitor." Mitchel announced.

Haley took note of how comfortable the teenager seemed in Rosemary's room and with her.

"Haley James Scott. I'm Rosemary's god mother. And you are.?" She asked. Looking to the young man.

"I'm Mitchel Stevens. Rosemary's boyfriend." He announced.

"We've been looking for you everywhere Rosey." Ryan said.

"We should of known you would be in here. Alone. Having you're own movie night. So what are you watching.?" Kennedy asked. Entering the bedroom.

"The party's being shut down. I'm going to go get you're uncle Nathan and leave." Haley said. Quickly exiting the bedroom.

Kennedy's gaze went from Rosemary to Mitchel.

"Suddenly you're so quiet. What are you up to in here.?" Ryan asked. His gaze focused on Rosemary.
