The Adventures of Max and Leo: Max and his new friend relax
"Max, Max, wake up," Leo said, waking up Max.
"Hey, Leo, what's going on?" Max asked.
"Well, your friend wants you to go to the pier with him," Leo said.
"Oh, Brian," Max asked.
"Yeah, him," Leo said. "You can just go in your swimming suit if you wish."
"Awesome," Max said.
"Plus, you seem to enjoy spending time with your new friend, so I figured you wanted to get some time in with him," Leo said.
"You don't feel left out because I've been spending much of the last week and a half with Brian, do you?" Max asked.
"No, I don't," Leo said. "I did want you to make some new friends here."
"Well, did you want to spend some time with me here at the camp?" Max asked.
"If you're this worried over me feeling left out, maybe we can row a boat together," Leo said.
"Sounds great," Max said. "Maybe Brian and I can do that."
"Maybe you two can," Leo said. "They actually have more sizable boats this year."
"Awesome," Max said. "So, there's room for multiple people this year."
"There sure is," Leo said. "Well, go on and see him. You don't want to keep him waiting."
"Alright, I will," Max said.
Max got up and left the dorm he was resting in. He then went to the pier where Brian was and sat down next to him.
"Hey, Brian," Max said. "Thanks for inviting me out here."
"Hey, Max, did you enjoy your nap?" Brian asked.
"Yeah, I was still napping when I was invited," Max said. "Camp activities can exhaust me real good sometimes."
"Yeah . . . I figured that was the case for me to help get you to bed after we went hiking," Brian said. "So, I figured we'd just engage in less tiring activity for the better part of the rest of the day."
"Cool, what did you have in mind?" Max asked.
"Well, after we hang out in the pier, I figured we could ride a boat for a little bit," Brian said. "I can do the rowing while you sit and relax for a little bit."
"Sounds awesome," Max said. "Leo told me the boats are sizable this year."
"Yeah, it's got room for both of us to lie down if we wanted to," Brian said.
"That is awesome," Max said. "Since this is a closed in lake, we probably could get some rest in while we hang out on the boat."
"We probably could," Brian said. "Maybe I can get us some pillows and blankets then."
"That'd be nice," Max said. "I love relaxing on water anyway so it'll be just another typical evening for me."
"That's cool," Brian said. "If you want to get on a boat now, I can get the pillows and blankets real quick."
"Then let's do it," Max said.
Max and Brian got up and Max went to get a boat while Brian got some pillows and blankets for himself and Max. Once Brian came back with the pillows and blankets, he and Max got on the boat and Brian started rowing it out on the lake while Max relaxed. Once they were out in the water real good, Brian put the oars in the boat and relaxed while the boat sat on the water.
"Well, we're relaxing on water," Max said.
"We sure are," Brian said. "Hopefully after this experience, I can share your sediments concerning how relaxing it is to just float on water."
"I'm sure you will," Max said. "I'm just happy we get to hang out again."
"Me, too, Max," Brian said. "And don't worry, even after camp is over, I'll see if I can see you and Leo during one of my Portland visits."
"That'd be great," Max said. "I would definitely love to see you from time to time."
"I would, too," Brian said. "So, what do you want to do while we relax on the boat for a little bit?"
"Would you like your shoes off?" Max asked.
"Sure," Brian said.
Max untied Brian's shoes and then took Brian's shoes and socks off and laid them aside.
"Thanks, Max," Brian said. "It actually feels pretty good to be out of those shoes."
"Well, if that's the case, you want a massage?" Max asked.
"I'll take one, sure," Brian said.
Max then began massaging Brian's feet.
"That actually feels pretty good," Brian said. "Who taught you how to do this?"
"Leo did," Max said. "He has given me massages for years and he taught me how to do it when I wanted to return the favor."
"Oh, nice," Brian said. "You have a pretty gentle touch."
"Well, thanks," Max said. "When I do this, I often go for gentle."
"Cool," Brian said. "I'll have to let you do this for me again sometime."
Max continued to massage Brian, whom after a few minutes yawned, feeling sleepy from the massage.
"I think it's time for the pillows and blankets," Brian said.
"I think so, too," Max said. "Don't worry. I'm still kind of sleepy, too so I guess we both can get a nap in."
"Sounds great," Brian said.
Max stopped massaging Brian as Brian got a pillow and a blanket for Max. The two laid their heads on the pillows and placed blankets over themselves.
"Rest well, Max," Brian said.
"You, too, Brian," Max said.
Brian and Max closed their eyes and fell asleep . . .
After a couple of hours of rest, the two woke up.
"Hey, Brian, you alright," Max asked.
"I am, now I feel rested," Brian said.
"Yeah, I feel more rested as well," Max said. "So, what do you want to do now?"
"Well, we can head back to the pier," Brian said. "The sun is setting and I'm sure Leo is going to worry about you if it gets too dark out here."
"Yeah, we should get back to the dorm then," Max said.
The two sat up and Brian got the oars and rowed the boat back to the pier. Brian gathered his shoes and socks and Max gathered the pillows and blankets and the two got off the boat, went down the pier and then went in their dorm.
"Hey, guys, did you two have fun?" Leo asked.
"We sure did," Max said. "We got on a boat, rowed into the lake real good and relaxed," Max said.
"Nice," Leo said.
"Did you do anything while we were out?" Max asked.
"Come to find out, Joe's brother, Lowell is here at the camp and he's really tech savvy," Leo said. "He put a new RAM card in my laptop and now, it runs really well now."
"That is awesome," Max said. "I know you'll be looking forward to when laptops have CD drives."
"Oh, he got one working on my laptop," Leo said.
"Dude, that is awesome," Max said. "I knew you wanted one so you could work out to back up the files you use for our game."
"I sure did," Leo said. "So, this is a hope come true for me."
"Yeah, it sure is," Max said. "Well, I guess we better get ready to do some in-dorm activities since it is getting dark."
"Yeah, I'm gonna bathe first and then we'll see what we can do in terms of that," Leo said.
"Alright, sounds great," Max said.
Leo left Max and Brian alone to go to the bathroom to bathe.
