Chapter 33: Pain, even more Painful

"Please".

The screams.

"Please...stop" the faint voice called to her.

The damned screams..

"Fuck you!" the weak voice was angry?

The fucking screams...

...

Why was there screaming?

The person who was screaming...it was a familiar voice. It was somebody that she knew.

Zdrada was in a trance, it was as if everything around her was moving in slow motion, she was struggling to comprehend what was happening. Someone she knew, someone she cared about, was in agonising pain.

"Judgement, keep him still! He's delirious!" she heard Beelzebub's voice cry out. The Bitch Demon was stood in the doorway between the lounge and the hallway. She couldn't draw her eyes away from the messy scene, Pandemonica brushed pasted her suddenly, accidentally pushing her a step forward, making her lose balance for a moment.

"Here Judgement, I'll hold his legs, focus on his torso" Behemoth moved to the upper end of the coffee table.

"Justice, we need some space here!" Lucifer's voice trembled. The devil grimaced, peeling off the makeshift tourniquet causing a deep but loud scream to explode through gritted teeth.

"Cerberus, Azazel, Modeus with me now" the former high prosecutor dragged the sensitive souls from the main room, moving them upstairs. Zdrada looked to the head of the table, seeing the large grey demon struggling to keep the screaming patient still.

The stunned demon took another step forward, she was now standing behind Beelzebub and Lucifer. She peered over the two and saw their blood soaked hands working so incredibly fast that it was all a blur of red, white and orange.

"Beel, I need that Inferno Crystal now!" one Queen looked at the other.

"How did you kno-"

"JUST GET IT!". Zdrada was looking back and forth between the worried faces. Beelzebub manifested some sort of glowing red Diamond and handed it to Lucifer.

"Here".

"Okay..." Pandemonica paused, her voice surprisingly monotone and calm. She was moving her bloodied hands away holding a crimson soaked rag, there was a strange orange residue on it.

"Now!".

"GAAAAH!" a loud scream rang out across the room.

"I know my love, I know it hurts, it will be over soon" the devil wiped a bloodied hand across her forehead. Both surgeons had accidentally wiped his blood on their faces as they operated, the pressure getting to them both.

An orange and red glow was pulsating in front of Beelzebub and Lucifer, Zdrada couldn't see the source of the light.

Wait, where is Malina? She scanned all the faces in the room, unable to find her sister. There was a deep throbbing that was starting to consume her min, what was that she could hear?

...Was that...people chanting?

It suddenly occurred to her, that she hadn't even looked at the person who lay near death on the coffee table.

"FUCK, FUCKKKKK!" the voice was all she heard now. Slowly, Zdrada looked down at the makeshift operating table. All the demons were all referring to this person on the table as a male, the screams sounded...like his...

She turned her head to look down...

...

"Zdrada...please stop"

"Malina?"

"ZDRADA! ZDRADA! ZDRADA! ZDRADA!"

She looked down at the floor, her enemy lay injured, looking up at her.

"Zdrada...please stop". The winning demon wasn't listening, grabbing her opponent by the throat, lifting them up with her left hand and making the weaker demon stand. With one swift movement Zdrada's silver mace collided with her victim's skull, sending them falling backwards. They were both now moving into the centre of the arena.

She smiled maniacally, dropping the mace onto the scorched red ground, the weapon making a huge metallic thud as it made contact with the crumbling stone surface, creating a small indentation in the rock. Her young, excited eyes scanned the crowd, their chanting only fueling her blood lust further.

All of the demons were calling for blood, some of the crowd were chanting the gladiator name she had adopted.

"BETRAYER! BETRAYER! BETRAYER!". She took off her crude black helmet, casting it aside, it also making a loud thud as she dropped it. Her eyes locked onto her prey, she already knew she didn't need a weapon to finish this.

"Zdrada...please stop" the voice repeated, begging...trembling. They were holding a bloodied left hand up as their only defence. "You've won...alright?".

"I haven't won yet".

A young Malina was currently sat on the floor, dragging herself away from her sister as she slowly approached. The much smaller and thinner Sour Demon had much shorter hair when she was younger, a very small fringe compared to her sister.

She was thinking about getting her head shaved. Anyone would have thought she was a male demon if they looked at her from afar, it was even thinner than the Helltaker's after a haircut.

Zdrada's fringe had always been long, she always loved how it hid a side of her face. The young demon had the back of her head completely shaven, wanting to avoid anyone grabbing her from behind.

The fighters both wore identical outfits; a set of worn, black, spiked metal armour, complete with a sheep's skull shaped helmet, a tight fitting breastplate, gauntlets, greaves, and cuisses.

Zdrada had customised her armour to have grey ashen stripes along her arms, leading down to her knuckles, there were also identical stripes on the front of each leg, stretching from thighs to feet. She also painted the curled metal horns of her helmet to be grey, giving her a fashionable yet intimidating look.

On the back of her breastplate she had the words "BETRAYER" written in grey, the paint was still wet when she applied it, causing each letter to look like it was melting when it dried.

Malina hated every second she had to wear her's, therefore she didn't maintain or care for it. She usually had to wear a new set every match due to the damage Zdrada would cause. She never found any gauntlets or greaves that were her size, the helmets always stank of sweat and blood.

Compared to Zdrada's pristine armour, Malina's set was now severely damaged and scratched. Her gauntlets shattered, the metal bending under the relentless attacks.

Her helmet had been ripped off her head early on in the battle and crushed under Zdrada's heel. The black breastplate had received a number of hits from her sister's mace and was now uncomfortably squeezing Malina's body.

Malina had sustained heavy injuries during this duel; her right arm was completely broken in several places, her right hand was also smashed to pieces, fingers twisted into horrifying angles.

Her left leg had been stomped on repeatedly, her sister had shown no mercy, the bone had most likely been fractured or broken entirely. Shards of black metal had been pounded into the swelling wound when the greave had shattered.

Either way she could no longer walk, the demon had been using her rusty spiked shield as a crutch to support her, but Zdrada had soon kicked it out from under her.

With that one last swing from Zdrada's mace, she had knocked Malina clean onto her back, black demon blood was gushing from an open wound on her temple where the mace had impacted.

It had been a relatively short fight, Malina never really wanting to hurt her sister, but she had defended and blocked the waves of attacks for as long as possible. Zdrada however, did not the feel the same way, once Malina had landed a successful blow to her face with the shield the Bitch Demon saw red.

Blood red fury...

Now the older sister was closing the gap between her opponent. She had discarded all her weapons and was now tightening her black gauntlets.

"Please, big sis" Malina faked a smile.

"That won't save you this time" she suddenly leapt forward, landing on her sister and pinning her to the ground.

The audience of demons went wild, exploding as soon as Zdrada went in for the kill.

"You don't have to do this, you've won by submission" Malina's voice desperately begged her sister for mercy.

"They want to see blood" her metal arm pointed at the crowd, her eyes not moving off her sister.

"They've seen enough". Zdrada ignored her sister's pleas.

"And...I...will more than happily give it to them".

Zdrada lifted her right arm up and balled her fist, the metal of the gauntlet clanging as the fist closed, it was pointing at Malina's face.

"Please". Zdrada struck her sister, the metal knuckles colliding with her right cheek. "Please Zd-" the Betrayer attacked again, this time it collided with her eye socket, the demon attacked again, high on the scent of blood.

She struck again and again, speeding up the assault.

She bludgeoned her sister further and further into unconsciousness, her face becoming extremely bloodied and severely bruised. A few teeth had been knocked loose, dropping from her mouth, but this didn't stop Zdrada.

She was grunting intensely now, her breathing labored as she delivered punch after punch. She no longer saw her sister...she saw her enemy.

She saw a deep red...

She had to win...

She...

"Please" Malina's voice was echoing around her head.

A weak form of sympathy was washing over Zdrada, causing her to slow her attacks, the reality of what she was doing hitting her worse than any pain she had ever experienced.

The battered and bloodied face of her sister was staring up at her, but that wasn't what was slowing her attacks. Through all the blood, all the bruises, all the horrendous injuries she was inflicting upon her...a single tear was rolling down Malina's left cheek.

"M-Malina?"

For a moment, the bloodlust, the fury, the need to win...

...the abandonment...

The trance over Zdrada was broken...

Suddenly, she was lifted into the air by a painfully tight hand that maintained a firm grasp on her neck.

The hand was crushing her wind pipe, but before she knew it the demon was sent flying backwards, landing roughly on her back, sliding a few yards in the dirt. Zdrada hit her head quite badly, the blood thirsty warrior now returning, angrily lifting her head to see the new opponent.

"Shouldn't have taken your helmet off smokey".

The High Prosecutor was standing over Malina, fists clenched, facing the older sister.

"Stand down Zdrada...it's over" those fiery red eyes were an intimidating sight. A silence had now descended upon the blood thirsty crowd, the high prosecutor intervening in a duel was a historical first. Justice's eyes remained on Zdrada as her opponent went from prone to a kneeling position, then standing up straight.

As soon as she stood, Zdrada hissed, displaying her entire mouth of serrated teeth. She had sharpened each and everyone to give her an advantage...in close quarters of course.

"I haven't finished" she snarled, an evil smirk growing on her face as she began walking towards Justice.

"When I tell you to stand down...you will stand down". She changed her position to face Zdrada sideways on.

Justice without looking, held her left hand outwards above Malina, the palm facing down. Her index and middle finger crossed over one another, the thumb and little finger pointed upwards.

She moved her hand downwards, it was synchronised in movement with Malina's unconscious body as she fell through the portal. The not so blind demon clenched her fist, causing the portal to close, preventing Zdrada from harming her sister any further.

Poor Malina, I hope they can fix that eye she thought. Malina did indeed need serious medical attention, she received such a pummeling that her right eye socket had been dislodged.

Her broken bones and fractured skull would heal and she would be left with a few battle scars, but the psychological wounds after this fight were never going to heal, they would always be there.

Malina was now in the arena's infirmary, experienced medics and trainee Hell Priests were on standby to fix up the devil's gladiators. The thought of Malina avoiding this battle, all of Zdrada's work becoming undone, it made her sick.

"You stole my kill" Zdrada's angry voice shouted, it echoing throughout the arena.

"That was your sister you sick fuck", Justice threw off her spiked black jacket that she was wearing around her shoulders, knowing now that this fight was unavoidable.

"She was my enemy, the Queen commanded it".

"Well, I'm commanding you to stand down" Justice threatened. There was no reply, Zdrada was now standing over her mace, gently grasping the handle and lifting it up slowly, her eyes still locked onto the high prosecutor.

"Where is the devil anyway?" Zdrada tilted her head, the evil smile spread wide over her face.

"Didn't want to see her two angels fight?". Justice did not know how to respond to this, Lucy was indeed vacant from this fight for some unknown reason, yet despite her absence she wanted her High Prosecutor to watch over this fight.

"You know you designed these fights to end in death" Justice had said to her boss,

"Well see to it that their fight does not" is all the devil had said.

Justice smiled slightly finally getting Zdrada's angel pun.

"You dare to challenge me?" Justice finally responded, noticing Zdrada was speeding up, greatly closing the distance between the two, the high prosecutor finalised her mental preparations while tightening her red gloves.

"I dare" she wielded her mace with two hands, holding it upright and beginning to sprint at the prosecutor.

"As you wish", Justice maintained her sideways posture. She awaited for Zdrada to approach, allowing her to make the first move. There was no smile on the usually chipper prosecutor's face

The arena awaited with bated breath for the clash of the century.

"That's not how that went down!" Zdrada protested, slugging Justice in the shoulder.

"Oh yeah? How did it go then smokey?" the former high prosecutor smiled back.

"I kicked your ass and became high prosecutor" she paused. The Blind Demon was struggling against the urge to laugh, "Then I killed Lucifer and became the rightful Queen of Hell" Zdrada took a long drag from the cigarette she was sharing.

The former high prosecutor burst out laughing.

"Like that'll ever happen!". She then tried her best to calm down and remain quiet for there was a sleeping demon, as well as an unconscious Helltaker in the same room. Unbeknownst to them, their story was slowly dripping into the mind of the injured human, he was actually listening to the two reminiscing.

The Awesome Demon placed a gloved hand over her mouth, biting her lip to make her stop laughing. She decided to pinch the cigarette out of the other's hand, knowing that the intake of smoke would keep her quiet. As the Nicotine hit, her mind went over what had occurred over the last few hours.

Justice had come downstairs once she had left the sensitive demons and angel in their rooms, telling them not to worry.

"Get some rest, you'll be able to see him tomorrow, it's nothing serious" she had said. She wanted to check on their progress, but she had walked in at a decisive moment during the surgery. The Helltaker was practically at death's door, Lucifer, Beelzebub, Pandemonica and Malina were all working together to keep him alive.

Behemoth and Judgement were off to the side watching, both having barely any healing abilities or healing knowledge, they were no longer needed to hold him down. Both of them feeling quite useless.

The two professionals; Lucy and Beel had easily and quickly sealed his wound with the help of the blood diamond, the same one the Helltaker and Beelzebub had used to return him to Hell the second time.

It's true name; an Inferno Crystal, could allow the user to perform tasks much faster and more efficiently, imbuing the demons with extra strength, faster reflexes and access to an archive of knowledge; the collective of past users of the gem.

Channeling the crystal's energy into oneself was only temporary and often had some...dangerous...side effects.

Especially on humans...

Initially they had been hastily applying raw Hell Energy onto rags to ease the bleeding, as well as getting him used to this method of healing again. The human body will reject demon magic initially.

Now they had expended all of the crystal's energy sewing him back up, the artifact helping to stop the bleeding. The deep wound, the tissues and muscles within had been successfully repaired but the next issue would now take much longer to fix; the lack of blood in his body.

They were now all channeling concentrated Hell Energy into his blood stream as a collective, he had lost so much that the man had become extremely Anemic.

The human was struggling to get oxygenated blood around his body, his heart working overtime to circulate the blood. The Hell Energy they were channeling into him was acting as a replacement for these red blood cells, it was also providing him with the much needed adrenaline to keep his heart pumping.

All the demons were exhausted, it was currently half past two in the morning and no one felt like sleeping until he was stable. Lucifer and Beelzebub had been working constantly for hours, neither of them breaking their concentration, both not caring about anything else in this moment.

Pandemonica and Malina had decided to help when the two had shown signs of fatigue. The four of them powering past their exhaustion, a powerful team full of determination.

The Blind Demon had then sensed Zdrada's distress, she hadn't moved from the same position when Justice had left; standing behind the surgeons, silently watching them work. Justice came over to the demon and placed both hands on her shoulder's.

"Let's take a walk", forcing Zdrada to turn away. Her face was as white as a sheet, but Justice didn't need to see this.

"Yeah, a smoke would be nice". The two headed to the kitchen, opening the back door and venturing outside to the backyard, the monsoon that had descended upon the Helltaker and Malina had thankfully stopped.

It seemed like a surprisingly clear night, yet the moon nor the stars could be seen.

"Got something weighing on your mind?" Justice shut the door behind them, the two trudging across the gravel and standing at a small rusted railing that looked over the beach path and the crashing waves below.

Both of their eyes adjusted to the darkness, Zdrada leaning on the railing, Justice simply standing next to her, the gloved hands in her pant's pockets.

"Bad memories, his screams reminded me of..." she stopped, looking away from Justice on her left, peering at some distant lights within the darkness.

"Of Malina's?" the Awesome Demon somehow knowing exactly what she was talking about. That day...those screams... Justice knew...she was there after all.

"Yes...", Zdrada wasn't even surprised at Justice's awareness, Was she really that easy to read?

"You put up a good fight" the blind demon was trying to make her feel better.

"You kicked my ass..." Zdrada manifested a cigarette and lit it.

"Damn right I did" Justice stealing the cigarette out of her hand as soon as she had taken a drag.

"Thought you didn't smoke" Zdrada turned to look at her friend.

"Only in times of stress".

"It's well deserved then".

The two began reminiscing the story of that fateful day, Justice wanting to get Zdrada's mind off the current drama. The Awesome Demon had described the day from her perspective, then Zdrada had followed it up with her own perspective...laced with guilt.

They had been talking for what felt like hours and they hadn't even begun talking about the battle itself. They had already gone through nine cigarettes, eventually deciding it best to go inside, possibly to sleep if they knew he was okay.

The two demons paused their reminiscing when they entered the house again, noticing the lounge was empty, a large blood stain on the coffee table and carpet. They found Beelzebub alone in the kitchen scrubbing her hands and face vigorously, blood and water flowing over and off her skin.

"Where is he?" Zdrada had asked sounding slightly terrified of the answer her mind had already given her.

"We moved him upstairs, Behemoth carried him to ou- his room...he is fine don't worry dear" Beelzebub stopping herself from rambling, realising that's all she wanted to know. Justice then did something that neither of the two demons were expecting, she stepped towards her past enemy, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"You look tired Beel, take my bed tonight. I'm going to watch over him, incase he needs anything or...worse". Beelzebub did indeed look exhausted, she had huge black bags under her blood-shot eyes, she hadn't been sleeping properly over the last few weeks, ever since they returned from Hell.

The Queen of the Abyss was shocked at this gesture, never expecting any kindness from Justice.

"Are you sure? I was going to just sleep on the sofa for tonight, but..".

"Please, I insist" Justice cut her off.

There was an uncomfortably long silence, Beelzebub's face was blank, she was too tired to show any emotion. Zdrada was the one who felt the most nervous during this interaction.

"Thank you...Justice" Beelzebub without hesitating gave the blind demon a big hug.

"Don't push your luck" Justice smirked, her clenched fists moving to briefly hold the demon around her waist.

"Malina is up there, she refused to be separated from him" Beelzebub said with a weak smile as she withdrew from her embrace with Justice.

"Of course she is" Zdrada smirked, the demon turning to the blind one.

"I'll come with you, keep you and Malina company" she turned back to look at the older demon.

"You can have my bed if you want privacy Beel, no one will be using our room tonight".

"Thank you...both of you, I think I need a shower first before I decide" she showed the demons her hands, "I can't get his blood out from under my fingernails".

"You've earned it" Justice smiled, she remained facing forward as Beelzebub walked out of the kitchen. "Why you gotta go one upping me like that?" Justice feigned being offended.

"Can't believe you did that to be honest...thought you hated her guts" Zdrada was now standing with her hands on her hips.

"Unlike you, I don't hold grudges" Justice was now moving into the hallway, searching for the small ball of keys for all the doors and locks in the house.

"I'll lock up, we can resume our trip down memory lane in a second Zdrada. Go check on them".

"The blind bitch locks the house up? Sure I guess...I feel safe" Zdrada sniggered, following Beelzebub up the stairs.

"The only bitch in this house is you" Justice's faint voice came from the hallway. Zdrada said goodnight to Beelzebub, heading up the second and third flight of stairs, slowly opening his bedroom door.

On the double bed, the Helltaker was lying on his back, the man's breath slow and shallow, on his left side, a sour demon was cuddling into him. His left arm had subconsciously wrapped around her body, bringing the small demon in closer.

So he WAS alive, still kicking.

"He is one tough son of a bitch isn't he?" Justice said, she and Zdrada were now sat on soft brown chairs on the far side of the bedroom, backs to the wall, on opposite sides of a small table. On the table there was a small white lamp, a large cream mirror with stand and a recently added framed photo of the demonic family, this table and chairs were situated underneath the sloping roof of the Helltaker's bedroom.

They were also sat underneath a skylight, Zdrada was currently blowing her cigarette smoke up out of it.

"I bet most humans would have broken by now" Justice continued thinking aloud, "We would of broken any normal fool by now". Justice heard Zdrada inhaling deeply, the two had been chain-smoking like crazy over the last few hours. "He is gonna be so pissed when he finds out you were smoking in his room".

"What he doesn't know won't hurt him" Zdrada was looking around for an ashtray, eventually deciding to throw the butt out the window.

"You were smoking with me, don't act like you're innocent". She was considering manifesting another one, aware that her pocket dimension supply was running low again.

"He will smell it", Justice received no reply. Zdrada didn't care, smirking slightly, she was imagining the man finding out, maybe he would punish her properly this time.

"What did Lucifer say? I heard you two talking outside her room" Zdrada asked changing the subject. She manifested another cigarette, trying to light it with as few loud clicks from her fingers as possible.

"Yeah, I caught her as she was leaving her room, she was going to get a snack. Apparently the devil was feeling faint, she probably hadn't eaten anything all day". Zdrada's bored faced would have told Justice she wasn't properly addressing her question.

"What did Lucifer say about him dumbass?" Zdrada gestured to the Helltaker with her head.

"Oh! He is in a comatose state for now, he has lost so much blood that they are going need to regularly channel that orange shit into him". Justice swiped the cigarette from Zdrada again.

"Just ask dude, jeez".

"For now he is alright, but he might not be able to make a full recovery without their help".

"Bummer" Zdrada crossed her arms leaning back in the chair, her usually painted black eyelids were becoming heavier. She laughed to herself for a moment, remembering what she had said earlier on in the day before Behemoth had arrived.

"What?" Justice asked noticing her small laugh, she took one more intake of smoke before handing the cigarette back to the one true chain smoker.

"I said to him...earlier today as Behemoth was arriving. He had a knife and stood next to Judgement ready to attack" Zdrada paused but then realised why Justice was looking at her weirdly.

"We didn't know who it was coming through the portal".

"Oh, makes sense. Continue".

"I just said to him 'A knife ain't gonna do shit' before the big guy showed". Zdrada quietly laughed again, this time hiding her face in her right hand. The inside of her wrist, the material of the black bracelet brushed against her face.

"Cruel irony" she whispered, after a small pause, she peaked out from between her fingers and saw she was spilling ash onto the bedroom floor from the drooping cigarette.

"Oh shit" she kicked where she presumed the ash was on the floor out of sight and used up the rest of the cigarette before she threw it out of the skylight.

"Ironic indeed" Justice paused, taking off her sunglasses and setting them down on the table they were sat either side of.

As she did this, her hand brushed against the family photo, she noticed the large rectangular object and grabbed it. The demon ran her hands over the frame, unsure of what the object was.

She flipped it over, feeling the rough back and the latch which would open it. Zdrada was not watching her do this, manifesting what would be her last cigarette for a while. She clicked again, nothing happened, she clicked repeatedly but to no avail. Her pocket dimension was empty.

"Fuck" Zdrada held the cigarette in her left hand, turning to see what Justice was doing.

"Don't open it, you'll ruin the position of the photo" they were now speaking in whispers.

"Oh, so that's what it is...a photo frame". She flipped it back around, so that the photo was facing up, the blind demon then held it out so Zdrada could see it.

"What's the photo?".

"Oh, can't you see it?" Zdrada teased, whispering while smirking, she could see a pair of pale eyes within the darkness staring back at her.

"Just tell me fucker", she moved it slightly closer and the Bitch Demon grabbed it, holding it up to her face.

"It's a picture I took..." Zdrada was surprised he would frame this photo.

"Duh! You're the only one who likes taking pictures with that fucking camera. What's in the photo stupid?" Justice whispering in frustration.

"It wasn't the Polaroid camera, it was my phone. I set this one to be on a timer".

"What is it of!" Justice raised her voice slightly louder than a whisper.

"It's one of our first few nights together, we are all gathered around the lounge table. There is a pizza box and a plate of pancakes on the table, we all have a drink in our hand, I can see Cerberus bringing a tray of similar looking drinks over" she paused, looking closer.

"We are all cheering, raising our glasses up, I mean I'm slamming mine on the table" she giggled slightly, "Modeus is cuddling into him as he cheered, Malina is trying to hide her bottle of vodka".

Zdrada noticed Beelzebub wasn't in this photo.

"Beel wasn't here yet, I wonder if she has seen it yet" she looked up to see Justice was still listening. "Monica is sleeping on the table, Azazel is-" she struggled against the urge to explode with laughter. "I never noticed Azazel is staring at Judgement's tits" she was spluttering and sniggering at the sight.

"No way!" Justice chuckled softly.

"Happy?" Zdrada turned to look at Justice and then gently placed the frame back on the table propped up, returning the photo to it's original position carefully.

"What am I doing?" Justice rested her head against the back of the wall, closing her eyes.

"Being a loser" Zdrada still was holding the last cigarette in her left hand, twirling it between her fingers.

"Do I have to beat you in front of an audience again?" the former high prosecutor smiled, still with her eyes closed.

"You'd be the one getting beat" Zdrada looked at her sleeping sister adjusting the position of her body, snuggling in closer to his collar. There was a brief silence between the two, Zdrada eventually noticed the silence lengthening.

The room was practically pitch black now, Zdrada felt like the night was going to last forever. She turned and saw Justice resting her head against the wall, eyes closed, practically asleep.

"Oi, don't go falling asleep on me" Zdrada flicked Justice's arm repeatedly with the cigarette.

"Hu-Uh?" Justice jumped awake, the tickling sensation bringing her back to consciousness. She was not aware she had fallen asleep.

"Look" Zdrada held up the single cigarette, for some reason expecting the Awesome Demon to see it.

"Last one" she waggled it in front of Justice's face.

"Your last one ever?" Justice yawned, somehow knowing instantly what Zdrada was talking about.

"Fuck no!" the two were still trying their best to whisper.

"Then why'd you wake me?" Justice was slightly annoyed, rubbing the back of her sore neck. There was an awkward silence, before she heard Zdrada sigh.

"I thought I'd share it with you", the Bitch Demon thankful that the darkness was hiding her embarrassment and bright red face, the blush was intense.

"I'm honored" Justice smiled at her friend hidden in the darkness. As the two shared their last cigarette, Justice whispered some wise words of encouragement.

"He will make it...he always does. He always puts up with our bullshit and gets through it with a smile. It's gonna be alright, we are gonna be alright".

This hit Zdrada differently, she watched the cigarette smoke linger in the room for a moment before escaping out of the skylight.

"You know, I think you're right".

:)

"It's gonna be alright"
