Hello! Last week was the first week I didn't post since I started writing this story and I'm still bummed I missed a week. Sorry for no post last week but I had to rewrite this chapter twice but I finally got it where I would like it. I know I've said for a while the story is coming to an end and after this there will be two more probably long chapters but then unfortunately it will be over. I've really enjoyed writing SD but I am looking forward to the next story. I know if you read these you are probably tired of this but again, I want to say thank you all for your reviews they mean a lot to me. Now on to the chapter.

Hinata wrapped her arms tightly around herself as the wind started to pick up. It blew through the surrounding trees making her think someone was coming but when she looked, she saw there was no one around. She looked down at her leg resting on the bench of the picnic table she was sat at. Just a few hours ago her doctor had told her she had a mild sprain and she needed to rest her ankle for at least a week. She knew she should have followed her doctor's orders and stayed home instead of being at the park at night waiting for Sasuke. He had called her sounding distressed and said he needed to see her right away. She wanted to see him too, so they could talk face to face about what happened with their parents earlier. He suggested coming over and sneaking in like last time but her parents were still up and downstairs arguing again with each other over what happened earlier that day. They decided to meet at the park and Hinata without hesitation took some medicine for the pain in her ankle and snuck out of her room. The stress of this day was overbearing and all she wanted was to be with Sasuke. Today felt like some bad dream that she couldn't wake from. As she waited, she thought back to what happened after she left the doctor's office.

Hinata watched from the window at her parents standing a few feet away from the car. They were too far away to hear what they were saying but her mother looked very angry and kept pointing at her father over and over again as she spoke. She wanted to roll down the window to see if she could hear but didn't want to risk her parents seeing she was eavesdropping. Every now and then one of them would look over at the car and Hinata would have to pretend that she wasn't watching them.

"You need to fix this right away Hiashi or Hinata will never forgive you and neither will I."

Hinata turned her head to see her sister looking out the window at their parents as well, "What?"

Hanabi pointed to their Mom, "That's what Mom just said to Dad. I've gotten pretty good at reading lips over the years. Comes in handy more than you'd think."

Hinata was curious on why Hanabi had picked up this skill but that was a discussion for another time. She turned back to see her father who had calmed down a bit since they left school talking to their Mom, "What is Dad saying?"

Hanabi leaned over Hinata to get a better look a few seconds later she made an annoyed sound, "Just classic Dad defense, I'm her father, I'm trying to keep her safe blah, blah, blah. I can't believe they are arguing now seems like Mom couldn't wait until she got home like they usually do." Hanabi moved back to her seat seeming no longer interested in their parents' argument, "It's just like Dad to overreact like he did. I understand why he did it though. I didn't know more was going on besides that website, I wish I would have known I could have done something."

"I don't need you to protect me Hanabi, I can protect myself." Hinata saw Hanabi make a face at her words. "What you don't think I can?"

"Of course, I know you can but…never mind."

"Tell me Hanabi."

"It's just that you are very protective over me, Neji, Tenten and especially Sasuke but when it comes to yourself not as much. I mean I heard what you said to Sakura and the on lookers today and I think it's great you stood up to them but you should have told them to all fuck off especially Sakura. She cheated with Naruto for months you should have yelled at her for that."

Although that was what Hanabi or Sasuke would have done that just wasn't her. She had grown more confident being with Sasuke and had stood up to his and her family along with Naruto but she reverted back a bit when she was faced with more faceless people coming for her at once. "I know Sakura did me wrong even though we were never really friends. However, I can't help but feel kind of bad for her."

"Hinata how can you feel bad for something that evil? Especially after everything she did to you, the posts would have never started if it wasn't for her."

"I said I felt bad for her I didn't say I forgave her. She deserves whatever punishment she gets for what she did. I just understand why she did it now, I think she really cares for Naruto in her own way. And it must be devastating to have someone who you want more than anything want you for nothing more than sex. It's not right but I understand where her anger is coming from but she needs to direct it at the correct person and that's not me."

"Hinata you are way too nice, but I guess you are right. What's the point of staying mad at someone so insignificant? Plus, public opinion on you is starting to turn around according to that dumb site. They are a bunch of post about Sakura again. Saying how mean she is and some saying she only did this for revenge."

A part of Hinata felt relieved that the posts about her were slowing down however another part was unhappy that people were still posting negatively on the site even if it wasn't about her. She was sure the people writing about Sakura were the same people that wrote about her. She didn't think anyone deserved that to happen to them even Sakura. "That site needs to be shut down."

"Agreed as long as it's up people are going to keep doing shit like this." Hanabi peaked around her sister and noticed their parents walking over to the car, "Looks like they are done arguing for now."

Hinata watched her parents silently get into the car trying very hard to act like they weren't just arguing a few seconds ago. Hiashi started to drive the eerily silent car not even bothering to turn on the radio. Hinata couldn't take the silence for a moment longer, "Dad I want to keep seeing Sasuke."

Hiashi sighed as his shoulders tensed up showing he was not ready to have another argument right now, "Hinata I understand you are hurt but please understand that I am trying to protect you."

"You're protecting me from the person protecting me how does that make any sense?"

"If Sasuke protected you like he was supposed to none of this would have happened."

"It's not his fault you sound just like Fugaku blaming everything on Sasuke. If anyone is at fault for this it is me and not him. I shouldn't have let this go on for so long, I should have stood up for myself, and I should have told someone earlier." Hinata wished she had this kind of passion earlier but now that she had it, she wasn't going to let it go. "I went through all of this because I want to be with Sasuke. How could you let me see Naruto who you did not like but you won't let me see Sasuke who up until this morning you liked very much. It's not fair!"

Hiashi gripped the steering wheel tighter, "Hinata you are getting all worked up over a high school relationship. Do you really believe you and Sasuke would have continued dating after you two go to different schools in the fall?"

"Hiashi, how can you say that to Hinata when we met in high school?" Her mother scolded her father.

"We went to high school together we did not date until college, we were older then and more mature."

Hanabi spoke up in defense of her sister, "Who is more mature than Hinata? Also, you told me you had a crush on Mom when you went to high school together but were too much of a nerd to ask her out."

Hiashi looked into his rear-view mirror to glare at his youngest daughter, "I did not say I was a nerd."

"Dad I saw your year book, you were a nerd."

Hinata crossed her arms seeing this conversation wasn't going anywhere, "Dad I don't know what the future holds for Sasuke and I. I know it's foolish to think that far ahead especially when we haven't officially been together that long. But Sasuke and I have been through so much to let something like distance keep us apart." She waited but her father didn't respond which only made her angrier, "You know I'm right but you know what you don't know is that Fugaku is using you. He has never liked that Sasuke and I were together and as told Sasuke to end things with me multiple times but he didn't listen. Now he is making you into his puppet to do what he wants."

Hanabi started to laugh not caring that it caused her to get angry looks from her father. She had never seen her sister interact with their father like this and whispered, "I can't believe you just called Dad a puppet."

Their mother was already leaning over harshly whispering to her father, "I told you Fugaku wasn't ok with this. I could tell he never was happy for the kids but you told me that's just the way he is. How could you let him manipulate you?"

"Enough!" Hiashi's voice boomed inside the car making all three women give him an annoyed look. He shrunk back a little seeing he was out numbered but still kept the sternness in his voice, "What is done is done and I will not talk about this anymore."

Their mother gave her husband a look Hinata had only seen a few times before once when her Dad lost Hanabi at a festival for hours, the time he bought Neji a motorized scooter even though their Mom forbade him getting one and hours later Neji fell off that scooter and broke his arm, and when Hiashi let Hinata and her siblings alone in a room to take a conference call and their Mom came home to find she had a new mural drawn on her freshly painted walls courtesy of Hanabi, her favorite vase was in pieces on the floor which young Hinata was frantically trying to piece back together while Neji was running into the room followed by a roll of paper towels that had a train that ran throughout the house to clean the red juice stain on the rug. Each time led to a big fight between their parents and it seemed tonight was going to be another one.

When they pulled up into the drive way Neji was throwing his bag into the trunk of his car he was about to head back to school and was surprised to see his entire family come home so early. Before he could ask what was going on Hiashi got out of the driver's seat and motioned towards the car, "Help your sister to her room."

He went straight towards the house without another word, Hinata watched her mother's reflection in the windshield take a deep breath before turning around in her seat to look at her daughters, "You know your father loves you both very much he is just doing what he thinks is right and is too stubborn to see what is actually happening. But don't worry I will have a nice long chat with him and this will all be sorted out. So Hanabi help your sister to her room and Hinata you rest that ankle of yours. Leave the rest to me." She reached for her daughters' hands to give them both a quick squeeze before exiting the car. Hearing her Mom say that did make Hinata feel better but she was still going to talk to her father about this again but by now she was sure he had locked himself in his office.

When Hanabi opened her door Neji's confused voice could be heard, "What is going on?"

Hinata didn't feel like repeating the story again so she let Hanabi do it as the two of them helped her out of the car and up to her room. To no one's surprise Neji was livid upon hearing what had been going on, "The stupid principal still thinks he can solve every problem with an assembly. What he really needs to do is to start handing out expulsions and suspensions. He is so lucky I don't go there anymore I would have made those kids pay."

"Sasuke seemed to be doing that for you I heard five kids went to the nurse's office before homeroom even started. I also heard that people were afraid to even pick-up papers from off the floor because they didn't want Sasuke to see them holding them." After they got Hinata into bed and made sure she had everything she needed within reach they offered to stay with her. She appreciated their offer but the only person she wanted to be around at that moment wasn't allowed to be there so she turned them down and asked them to leave.

She looked at her bandaged ankle that was propped up on a few pillows until it healed, she wouldn't be returning to school not that she was sure her father would let her go anyway. She assumed he was in his office right now drafting up the cease-and-desist letter for every student at her school. She reached for her laptop hoping Sasuke would be online. She saw the green icon next to his name and clicked it as fast as she could. Within seconds Sasuke's face popped up on her screen he looked a bit disheveled from before. His hair was messy as if he been overly running his hands through it his tie was hanging loosely around his neck and the top buttons on his shirt were all opened. He didn't even bother with any greetings or pleasantries at first, "What did your doctor say?"

Hinata moved the camera down to show him her ankle before moving it back on to her face, "I sprained my ankle, I will be home for at least a week."

"At least it isn't broken." He didn't look as relieved as she hoped he would be but she understood that their problems were bigger than her ankle right now. "Did you talk to your Dad?"

"It didn't go well. I called him a puppet so he isn't too happy with me right now." Hinata was silent for a moment wondering what she could say that would change her father's closed mind right now. "It doesn't matter what our father's want though we are not breaking up." She watched Sasuke waiting for him to agree with her but he didn't respond he seemed lost in his own thoughts for a moment. "Right?" she asked needing his reassurance at that moment.

"Huh?" Sasuke shook his head focusing his attention back on Hinata. "Yeah of course we aren't breaking up." She could tell there was something on his mind but he looked like he was trying to ignore it and make her feel better. "We will work it out it's just a few months until we graduate and then maybe we are both out of here."

She liked hearing him say 'we' it reminded her that she wasn't alone in this. No matter what she had Sasuke by her side, "Does that mean you've reconsidered going to K.U?"

"Not going to lie after we talked about it it's been on my mind a lot more. I don't know how much longer I can put up with my Dad. Maybe going to K.U would be better for everyone. Get us away from this place and our idiot Dads well mine more than yours."

Hinata had a dreamy look in her eyes thinking about what their next year at college would be like. When things were getting her down the past few weeks, she would think about how much better things would be when she got to college. Although she wasn't as eager to get away from her family as Sasuke was this situation had shown her she needed to get some space from them. She was still flip flopping between her top two choices but she was leaning more to Otogakure it had a few more programs Hinata was interested in and as a bonus it was the school Tenten decided to go to and was closer to Kirigakure University. "I wish we could go now."

There was a knock at Sasuke's door and she watched as Itachi popped his head into Sasuke's room, "Hey Sasuke I wanted to see if you wanted to grab a bite to eat?" Sasuke turned so Itachi could see Hinata on his computer screen, "Oh I didn't know you were talking to Hinata, I'll come back."

"Wait you should go with Itachi."

Sasuke turned his attention back on her, "Are you sure?"

Hinata knew that the brother's relationship had been growing stronger lately and she felt that Sasuke needed someone other than her to talk to about their problems with. "Yeah, I'm sure. I'm a little tired anyway so I was thinking about taking a nap. Call me later?"

Sasuke agreed to call her back and the two ended the video call. She hadn't lied everything that happened had taken a lot out of her and when she rested her head on the pillow it wasn't long until she fell asleep. She awoke a few hours later by Hanabi shaking her awake, "Hey Mom stopped arguing with Dad long enough to make dinner are you hungry?"

Hinata's slowly sat up looking around her room outside her windows the sun had already set telling her she slept longer than she set out too. She reached for her phone and saw no missed calls from Sasuke. She didn't get too worked up about it thinking he just wanted to let her sleep. "I'm not super hungry."

Hinata barely noticed Neji as she was still waking up until he sat down at the edge of her bed, "Well if you are worried about seeing Dad, he has locked himself in his office and I doubt he is coming out any time soon."

Hanabi angrily crossed her arms, "He is such a coward he just doesn't want to face Mom or you. Or me for that matter I've been working on my opening argument for the past few hours."

"Opening argument?" Hinata asked.

Neji chuckled, "She's treating this like a case because she thinks that's the only way to get through to Dad."

"No, I know it's the only way to get through to Dad how do you think I got Dad to buy me a car before I passed my driver's test. Don't worry Hinata I've got it all worked up and once my star witness takes the stand Dad won't be able to say no."

"Star witness?"

Neji raised his hand and gave Hinata a little wave, "I've been subpoenaed to testify."

"You're going to tell Dad that I should keep seeing Sasuke?" She didn't mean to sound so shocked but she knew how her brother felt about Sasuke. "You hate him."

"I don't hate him." Hinata and Hanabi both gave him looks of disbelief. "Ok I may not be his biggest fan and I'm never going to think he Is good enough for you just like no guy will ever be good enough for Hanabi but you can and have done a lot worse than Sasuke." Hinata rolled her eyes at her brother's comment and gently tossed one of her pillows at him. "In all seriousness I can tell you really care about him and that he somehow makes you very happy. I can't just sit by and watch you lose something that makes you that happy."

This was the closest Hinata had gotten to getting her brother's approval of Sasuke and it was nice to have one nice thing happen today. "Thank you Neji, you too Hanabi it means so much to me to have both of your support but I don't want either of you talking to Dad about this." Hanabi was about to object but Hinata put up a hand to stop her, "I know you mean well but this is something I want to do on my own. I'm going to let Dad cool off for tonight but I will talk to him again about this tomorrow and the day after that if I have to until he finally agrees to let me see Sasuke again."

Hanabi didn't seem too happy about this but she nodded her head in agreement, "Fine but if by the weekend he stills says you can't we are starting the case of Hyuga vs Hyuga and I am prepared to win."

The rest of her night was uneventful Tenten had stopped by to give her homework when Hinata was asleep. After diner where her Dad was absent from Neji helped her back up to her room so that she could work on some of her homework. She texted Sasuke twice to check up on him but got no response. She was starting to worry when she heard her phone ring it barely rang a second time before Hinata picked it up, "Hello?"

"I need to see you."

She could tell immediately that something was wrong, "Are you ok?"

He repeated his previous statement, "I need to see you…. now. I'm coming over."

"No, Sasuke my Dad is still mad at you I want to keep you two apart till he calms down." She looked down at her bandaged ankle and tried to apply some pressure to it, the pain was still there but she knew she could bare it. "Maybe you can park your car at the end of my block and I can meet you there."

Sasuke was silent for a while and Hinata checked to make sure he hadn't hung up, "I don't have my car anymore."

"What happened to your car?"

"I can explain when I see you, how's your ankle can you make it to the park?"

She knew what park he was talking about it became their park since they spent so much time there and is where they ended their first date. "I will figure out a way to get there."

She heard some ruffling on Sasuke's end and couldn't make out what it was but it sounded as if he was throwing things, "Good I'll meet you at our study spot, I'm leaving right now."

He hung up before she could say goodbye, she knew she wouldn't get to the park without help so she picked up her phone and hit Neji's number he picked up right away, "You need something?"

"Yes, a ride."

She pressed the button on her phone to check the time she thought Sasuke would have been here when she arrived but it had been over twenty minutes since then and still there was no sign of him. She heard rustling behind her and felt her heart start to beat faster with anticipation, which went away when she saw it was only Neji, "I walked around the whole park I didn't see him anywhere are you sure he's coming?"

Neji agreed to sneak Hinata out of the house after she half begged half guilted him into it. "He will be here." She picked up her phone and dialed his number and a moment later she heard a phone ringing in the distance. She looked in the direction of the sound to see Sasuke running towards her, "He's here!"

She wanted to run to him and throw herself into his arms but her ankle kept her planted firmly in that spot only allowing her to stand to meet him as he finally got close enough to pull her into his arms. The two embraced one another and he let the calming scent of her shampoo relax him as he buried his face into the side of her neck. Neji felt awkward standing there while this was happening, "Uh…I'm going to wait in my car Sasuke don't keep her too long it's only a matter of time before my parents figure out, she's missing."

Sasuke muttered something and waved Neji off he didn't want to think about anything but the girl in his arms at this moment. When she couldn't hear her brother's footsteps anymore Hinata pulled away just a bit so she could get a look at Sasuke, even though he looked happy to see her there was still something else in his eyes that made him look off. "Sasuke what happened?"

She felt his body tense up in her arms and she knew it wasn't going to be good. Sasuke had just lived through this and he wasn't sure he was ready to relive it but Hinata had snuck out for him and she deserved to hear the truth. He sat her down on the bench and sat beside her as he started recapping his day.

After ending his video call with Hinata, Sasuke agreed to get something to eat with Itachi. He wasn't particularly hungry but he hated the idea of just sitting around in his house. He knew sooner or later his father was going to come home and he didn't want to be around him right now. His mother had been muttering to herself since they left school, and Sasuke knew she was just waiting for Fugaku to get home so they can have it out. She didn't say much since he and the Hyugas were there earlier, his Mom never wanted anyone to see the cracks that were in the Uchiha foundation and would wait until she was home to argue with her husband. She tried her best to do so when the boys were either asleep or in another room. Sasuke could always hear them though and he remembered the anger he felt every time he heard his father yell at his mother. Most of their arguments that he could remember involved him and he felt guilty that his Mom was going to have to go through that again.

"She's going to be fine." Itachi said as he placed a drink, he got from the bar in front of Sasuke.

Sasuke grabbed the drink and drank half of it in nearly one sip before placing it back on the table, "Yeah I know Hinata is stronger than people think she is."

"Oh yeah, but I was talking about Mom. You had that look on your face that you always do when Mom and Dad are about to fight." Sasuke knew Itachi was familiar with that look since it had been Itachi you had kept him calm and kept him from running in and adding more fuel to the fire as kids. Seemed he was still doing that now. "Mom plays the part of the submissive wife in public but that's mostly for show. She loves Dad a lot, and because of that she keeps quiet about things until no one else is around. I guess she is trying to protect his pride and keep us from not respecting him."

"Too late for that." Itachi's phone started to ring and Sasuke watched as he reached into his pocket to pull out his phone but he just hit the side button on his phone and placed it face down on the table. A few moments later it started ringing again and Itachi hit the button without seeing who was calling. "Do you need to get that?"

"No, it's just Dad he's probably looking for me since I'm supposed to be at work right now."

"Why aren't you?"

"Mom called me after my class let out, and told me what happened."

"Did she ask you to skip work and take me out?"

"No, I just thought I should." Itachi looked unsure what to say next and neither did Sasuke. The two just sat across from each other sipping their drinks quietly. Although it was rare for Itachi getting in trouble with Fugaku, Itachi seemed to not even have thought twice about his decision to ditch work for his brother. "I'm assuming you don't want to talk about it."

Itachi assumed right, "What's there to talk about Dad's an ass and Hiashi….is just doing what he thinks is right. Not that either of them matters because I'm still going to see Hinata."

"Because you love her."

Sasuke wished he wasn't drinking at that moment because hearing Itachi's words made him nearly choke and he started coughing and hitting his chest with his hand. "W-What?"

Itachi looked confused by his brother's reaction, "Uh you love Hinata?"

"What makes you say that?" Sasuke asked sounding very defensive.

"It's just something I've noticed over the past couple of months. I mean you treat her a million times better than you've treated any other girl you've been with; you are always in a better mood when she's around I mean your not sunshine and rainbow but you're not your usual annoyed gloomy Sasuke mood." Sasuke narrowed his eyes at his brother but he didn't care and kept going, "And I see that way you look at her, I didn't even know you were capable of doing it but I've seen you give that loving look to her countless times and I'm not the only one who has noticed."

"Who?"

"Neji he asked me if I thought you did the night of Hanabi's party. And Hanabi has brought the idea up a few times when she's around."

"Don't you three have better things to discuss?" Sasuke still sounded defensive it took him months to admit he had feelings for Hinata but love was something much bigger. Something Sasuke had never experienced before for someone outside his family. The idea of it made him feel slightly uncomfortable in required a level of vulnerability that Sasuke did not know if he possessed.

Itachi seemed to sense Sasuke's awkwardness and tried to subject, "Neji also told me Hinata is more than likely going to Otogakure University. That's pretty close to Kirigakure University have you thought more about going there?"

The only thing on Sasuke's mind when he wasn't thinking about what was going on at school or Hinata was on the possibility of going to K.U. When he first applied, he had just picked a few random schools as he was just trying to prove a point to his father. He hadn't looked into any of the schools before but after Itachi had offered he had looked up the school's website and taken a quick virtual tour. He started to picture himself sitting in their classrooms, walking around that campus, studying in its massive library. He even looked up directions from K.U. to either of Hinata's top choice and already knew they weren't that far apart. He found out the schools were rivals and often versed each other in sports and academic games. He started to think about if he would dorm or get his own place off campus. An idea popped into his head about Hinata and him finding a place in between their two schools and he didn't hate the idea. It was odd to him to actually think about his future and have so many possibilities since for as long as he could remember his future was all planned out for him. A straight path with no detours that no matter how hard Sasuke tried he was continuously pushed through along the path set out by his father. "I have, but Dad is never going to let me go."

"It's not his decision it's yours."

"Try telling him that, besides I looked at the tuition it's more than T.U. if you add room and board. I can't afford it."

"I know I was looking into it as well, but I think if we apply for a loan and you get a part time job, we could swing it."

"We?"

"I want to help you Sasuke, I know I haven't always been the best big brother and I want to make up for it. I don't want to see you make the same mistakes I did."

As long as Sasuke has been alive he had seen his older brother hardly be anything less then sheer perfection. He excelled at almost everything he ever tried with barely any effort, he got straight A's, had lots of friends, excelled at his job so Sasuke was unsure what mistakes he could be referring to. "You don't make mistakes."

"Just because you don't see them doesn't mean I don't make them." Sasuke wanted to ask what they were but didn't think Itachi wanted to talk about it. "I just want you to know that I'm going to back whatever decision you make and I hope knowing that you have my help and support will help you make the right decision for you."

He took his brother's words to heart it did make him feel better to have someone other than Hinata on his side. Her support meant a lot to him but he tended to keep her away from things that dealt with his family. Their food arrived and Sasuke noticed Itachi ignore yet another call from their father, Sasuke hoped that by siding with him his brother wasn't putting him self in the line of fire with their Dad.

Sasuke figured out very quickly that Itachi was keeping him out as long as he could to avoid their Dad. Not that he minded much he liked being able to keep his mind off of things for a while, Itachi was a gifted conversationalist and was able to distract Sasuke for the few hours they were out. When they started driving back the sun had set and it was past dinner time but their Mom had not called. When Itachi pulled his car into the drive way Sasuke noticed two things right away his father's car was in the driveway but his car was not. Itachi seemed to notice it as well, "Wasn't your car parked in the driveway when we left?"

Sasuke didn't even answer he flung open Itachi's car door and stormed right into the house. Once he got closer to the door his anger only grew when he heard his parents inside yelling at each other. Sasuke was sure with the amount of force he had used to open the door there was most likely a dent in the wall where the door hit it. Hearing the bang caused his parents to stop yelling and Mikoto ran out into the hallway to see what caused the noise, "S-Sasuke go to your room, your father and I are talking."

Fugaku walked out behind his wife unable to hide the rage that was on his face, "Sasuke what part of drive your mother home and then right back to school did you not understand? I couldn't have been clearer." He stopped when he saw Itachi coming in behind Sasuke, "And you Itachi do you know how embarrassing it is for the boss' son to just not show up for work. What's gotten into you? I thought I taught you better you only take off last minute for something that is life or death. Not to goof off with your brother!"

Mikoto turned back around to her husband, "I told Sasuke he could stay home and Itachi called his supervisor and told him he had a family emergency which he did."

"I know he said that do you know how embarrassing it was to have people come up to me asking if everything was alright at home all day!"

"Well then maybe you should have come home and been with your family instead of the office."

"What could I have done here Mikoto? I've tried with Sasuke time and time again nothing gets through that thick head of his and now he is trying to drag Itachi down with him."

I took off work because my brother needed me. And that to me is more important than making sure the office gets their mail." Fugaku gave Itachi a look of anger that he usually only gave to his younger son but it did not stop Itachi who continued talking as he walked past Sasuke into the house. "Sasuke is not dragging me down, if anything he is keeping me from becoming careless like you."

By the shocked look on Fugaku's face it was apparent he was not used to his eldest speaking to him this way, "I see the only thing he is doing is making you as disrespectful as he is. What Sasuke got tired of never rising to the level of your brother so you had to bring him down to yours?"

His father was taunting him but Sasuke wasn't going to take his bait that easily, he tried as calmly as he could to ask "Where is my car?"

Fugaku scoffed and threw his hands in the air, "All of this and the only thing he cares about is his little car."

"Where is it?"

"I sold it." He said with out an ounce of regret in his voice.

Mikoto shook her head this didn't seem like news to her, "I still can not believe you sold Sasuke's car, you need to call that man back and give him his money back."

"I will do no such thing; I've had that guy on hold for months and Sasuke finally pushed me too far with his constant disobedience and his never-ending pattern of disrespect. It's time I taught Sasuke a lesson I've let his actions go unpunished for too long maybe now he will think twice before doing the wrong thing."

Sasuke was trying very hard no to show how much rage was building inside him, he did mourn the loss of his car but what was causing him to rage was how indifferent his father was about it. It didn't seem to matter what Sasuke had done his father saw this tiny act as the last straw and decided to teach him a lesson. He knew something was coming by the look Fugaku gave him back at school when Sasuke said he barely qualified as a father. If he said that at home it would be a problem but Sasuke had done it in public and Fugaku would not be made a fool of even if it was only a slight comment. "Whatever do what you want I don't care."

"Of course, you don't care, that's your thing isn't it Sasuke. You don't care about anything which makes me wonder why you are upset about this little insignificant relationship of yours."

"You need to just shut the fuck up!" He couldn't keep that in any longer Fugaku's constant jabs had finally been enough for him.

Fugaku was quiet as he stared at him for a moment looking as if Sasuke had said something truly outrageous, "Excuse me? How dare you talk to me like that?!"

"What are you going to do? You got rid of my car you are trying to keep me away from Hinata what could you possibly do to me next? Whatever it is I don't fucking care. I am sick and tired of your threats!" Sasuke pushed past Itachi who was trying to block his path and made his way angrily towards his father. At this point he was so fed up with everything Fugaku had done he didn't care what happened next. "And I'm sick of you ruining my life."

Sasuke was only slightly taller than his father not that, that mattered Fugaku was never one to ever back down. He sneered in Sasuke's face, "What life did I ruin? The life where you just did whatever the fuck you wanted with barely a care in the world about anything or anyone but yourself."

"That's your life! You don't care what anyone else wants just you! Let me make this clear to you right now no matter what you say or do I will not stop seeing Hinata."

Fugaku rolled his eyes Sasuke was practically seething with anger Infront of him but Fugaku was acting as if this was another mundane task he had to deal with, "Sasuke enough with the dramatics, it's a stupid high school relationship that would have been over soon anyway. It's not like you actually have feelings for her anyway."

"You don't know anything about me!"

"You can't be serious? Don't tell me you've actually fallen for that girl?" Sasuke didn't respond he just angrily kept staring at his father who chuckled, "You don't even know for sure huh? Well let me help you Sasuke, you don't. If you did you would let her go since being with you has only caused her misery and pain."

Sasuke put his hands on his head all of Fugaku's words were making his head hurt, "Stop it, stop trying to mess with my head. You don't want me to be with Hinata because it's something I've decided for myself and it has nothing to do with you."

"Everything you do from the day you were born to the day you die are a reflection on me. A reflection on the Uchiha family as a whole. And no matter how much shame you bring to the family name at times you are still an Uchiha. And an Uchiha would never lower themselves to be with a nothing girl like that who so cowardly and insecure."

It was as if time slowed down, he could barely make out his Mom's voice yelling at both of them to calm down. Sasuke knew what was about to happen he had wanted to do this for years and as he felt his hand turn into a fist all he was thinking about was the way he Fugaku spoke to his Mom, how terrible he spoke about Hinata and all the comments he had made to him over the years. Thinking of all of that at once made Sasuke even angrier and he watched his fist come into contact with his father's face. Sasuke felt this rush of adrenaline fill his entire body seeing his father stumble back and covering the side of his face Sasuke just hit. He saw a flash of rage in his father's eye and was preparing himself for his retaliation when he was pushed out of the way by Itachi and his father's blow struck him in the face instead.

Fugaku looked upset to see he struck Itachi and not Sasuke he opened his mouth to say something but before he could make out the words Mikoto slapped him hard across the face. "Don't you dare touch my sons." She turned toward Itachi and Sasuke and pointed up to their rooms, "Go upstairs now and pack your bags!" Both boys looked at her confused and did not move which only seemed to make her angrier as she gestured upstairs and stomped her foot on the floor, "NOW!"

Hinata hadn't realized she was crying until she felt the tears roll down her cheeks on to her lap. She couldn't believe everything had gotten so out of hand at the Uchiha house. She didn't know what to do or say at that moment. They were sitting side by side on the bench and Sasuke was looking down at the floor clearly upset by everything that happened. "What happened next?"

Sasuke sighed he didn't like reliving the story in his retelling he skipped over some details like what he and Itachi discussed when they went out and some of the things his Dad said concerning Hinata. "When we came down stairs Dad was gone and Mom gave us money and told us to get a hotel or stay with friends for a few days until everything settles."

"Do you think you guys can settle things after everything that has happened?"

Sasuke stood up and started pacing back and forth in front of Hinata. Reliving the whole situation made him heated again, "I don't think so, my Dad is just…. he is just…." Sasuke let out a long-frustrated groan as he couldn't think of a word to describe his father. "I can't stand him he was trying to get in my head and tricking me to do what he wanted to do. That's why I hit him he just wouldn't shut up and he was driving me crazy." This was the most animated Hinata had ever seen Sasuke it seemed Fugaku really did get under Sasuke's skin this time and he could no longer control himself. "He just thinks no matter what he is right and everyone else is wrong. This time he is wrong he thinks just because I love you that I'm should let you go but I'm not going to do that. I-"

"W-What?"

Sasuke stopped pacing and turned towards Hinata who was standing up again looking as shocked as he's ever seen her. He did not know why though, "What?"

Hinata felt like her heart was about to burst through her chest the way it was beating so hard, "Did you…." It happened so fast she doubted if she actually heard the words, "Did you say you love me?"
