Plank eagerly hopped out of the speeder. Already, he could hear the loud music playing. 79's, a cantina in the ecumenopolis' entertainment district, was nestled in one of Coruscant's enormous skyscrapers. It looked to be at least two stories in height, and the bar's main entrance was positioned at one of the building's corners, trimmed by wide walkways and supporting curbside traffic from speeders and air taxis. The bar boasted a large, brightly lit sign displaying the establishment's name above the two sets of sliding doors which allowed customers entrance.

Plank had only heard of the place while he was eavesdropping (Eavs was proud) on some 304th convo between men. He couldn't help the grin that spread across his features - this, he could tell, would be fun.

Boil and Wooley hopped out first and the others followed. As they rounded the side of the cantina, bright lights and loud cheers could be heard within.

Truly, to a shiny, a bar is unknown territory. A battleground in its own right. Walking into what could be a dangerous trap or a blessing. . .

"Plank!" Snipe's exasperated exclamation jerked him from his own mind.

"Yes"

"You had your battle face on," Snipe said, pointing at him.

"I did not!" Plank retorted defensively.

Crusher raised a slow eyebrow. "You're not looking at this as a battle, right?"

"No!" Plank could feel his face reddening.

Crusher shook his head with a smile. "Only you, Plank."

Plank crossed his arms defensively and was about to put him in his place when Waxer's speeder came to a speedy stop near them.

Zen and Eavs tumbled out of the back seats to land in a pile on the ground.

"I am NOT going with Waxer -" Eavs said, sounding dizzy, "- again."

Plank chuckled and offered his batch mates a hand each. They took them and Plank helped them to their feet.

"I am NOT riding with Waxer on the way back. YOU three are." Eavs jabbed a finger at all of them, as though annoyed by their having such apparent good fortune.

Plank smirked. "Nah - I think we'll walk."

Waxer laughed at that as he hopped out of the slightly tilted speeder. "Plank- by the time we're finished here, you won't be able to walk straight!"

"Or straighter than usual," Eavs muttered with a grin.

Plank rolled his eyes - it really did seem like Eavs was only around to embarrass him. Well, ya win some, you lose some.

"I'm not looking to drink THAT much," Plank said as they started their way over there.

"Fair," Waxer grinned.

As he walked through the sliding doors, Plank couldn't help the grin that split his face. Inside, an assortment of tables and booths were arranged for patrons to sit at across two floors. In the centre of the first floor, a long, oval bar was tended by several 2-1B-series medical droid servers, led by BU-11. There were a number of viewscreens broadcasting sporting events, including podracing, from around the galaxy, and the bar played energetic dance music which most of the clones were bobbing their heads to. Some of them were full out dancing.

"Cool," Plank heard Snipe murmur, and grinned at the atmosphere as Waxer waltzed up to the bar.

"You boys grab a seat." Waxer grinned. "I'll grab us some drinks."

It would be a lie to say that Plank wasn't nervous - he hadn't been around this many clone troopers since Kamino. Oddly, though, he still felt at home – of course, he was amongst his brothers.

Apparently Eavs and Zen had been out before which sort made Plank feel jealous, but he was an awesome clone commander, so what could you do. Eaves went to the table at the far side of the room and sat down beckoning them over. Plank grinned at Night and Crusher and joined them. Crusher took the back seat, from there being able to melt into the backdrop which was his usual style.

"So," Eavs said, leaning back in the chair. "I know for a fact that this is your first time out at Coruscant."

Plank nodded, unable to deny it, and not stopping for a second to doubt that Eavs had actually heard it.

"So how do you like it?" Eavs asked, gesturing to the place around them.

It was amusing to Plank that Eavs felt he had so much power, but he was willing to play along.

"I like it." Plank nodded, looking at the bright lights smiling and grinning further as some trooper fell flat on his face.

Eavs elbowed him with a grin as Waxer returned, balancing the alcoholic beverages precariously on his hands, and even one on his head.

Plank had literally no idea as to how he did it while bobbing along to the music just so. Arriving at their table, Waxer slid the drinks across to them. All four shinies looked at the drinks with mild suspicion.

Eavs grinned wider. "Come ooon - it can't be your first time drinking!"

"You know that it is!"

"Yes. I do." Eavs smirked, clearly feeling all-powerful. Because Plank wanted to prove Eavs wrong, he picked up the drink and took a sip - before it went down the wrong way and he ended up spluttering it out. Eaves and Waxer burst out laughing as Plank slid the drink away a bit, sighing.

Sly and Crusher exchanged a glance and each took swigs, not having the same reaction as Plank, who pouted a bit. It was always him, wasn't it?

"Relax!" Sly grinned, his eyes glinting in amusement.

Plank oh-so-professionally stuck his tongue out at him.

Waxer turned to Datas, who was examining the place with a meticulous eye.

"You gonna have something to drink?" he asked, gesturing to the still untouched beverage in front of him.

Data shook his head lightly. "I can't drink with my cybernetics, it makes them go…"

"Crazy?"

"Berserk?"

"Hutt-y?" Waxer added in.

Data rolled his eyes, but Plank could sense his nerves rising. "The first two."

Plank slung his arm around his fellow XYZ member, "It's alright – it isn't that good anyway."

Data smirked. "You have to drink more than a sip to actually see."

"Ooooooooh!" Waxer and Eavs chorused. "Buuuuurn!"

Plank facepalmed. "Yeah, yeah, whatever."

From there they chatted about random things, letting the loud music flow through them. Plank, despite the others teasing, didn't really drink anymore for the rest of the night. Unnoticed, the time slipped away until it was almost midnight. When Plank finally looked at the time, he almost jumped out of his armour.

"Uh - we should probably get back now," he said, looking up from his chronometer. Sly was in the middle of laughing with Waxer and Eavs but turned towards him.

"Oh come on!" Sly laughed. "We're just having a good time!"

Plank blinked slowly then turned to Crusher.

"Crusher, persuade Sly to come with us!" Crusher looked at him through sunglasses he had somehow acquired.

"I'm good here." He grinned, lowering his sunglasses some. Plank rolled his eyes and turned to Data.

"Data, mate, don't forsake me?"

Data laughed. "Don't worry, I agree." Data turned towards the other two. "Come on! Pack it up!"

Sly sighed deeply, Crusher took off his glasses.

"Fiiiiine," they chorused as one. Plank's mouth dropped open.

"Whaaa-? Why do they listen to you?" Plank whined, standing.

Data grinned. "Because I am NOT their commander."

Plank sighed half-playfully as they left the bar. "Whatever."

They all laughed, chatting merrily as they walked back to the shipyard.

A/N Hello all :) I know this chapter is SIGNIFICANTLY shorter than usual... And has no plot... BUT THERE IS A REASON! So here I go:

Thank you all who reads this story! Most appreciated! But I started this story when I was TINY! And... It isn't that good currently. I LOVE Plank and XYZ! And they deserve a MUCH better-written story than this! I am rewriting it all! So it will be so much better! So I won't be adding to this anymore... BUT THERE WILL BE MORE SOON!

The plotline will most likely change! More banter! More love! More drama!

So stick with me here :) Please. Thank you again for reading- and it shall be out soon!

MLISS OUT! Xx
