This in no way has anything to do with the actual plot of "Commitment Issues" (which I'm sure is quite serious since they are all looking very intense). But I noticed that Kensi seems to have tackled someone into a pool and I couldn't help myself.
Kensi was shivering by the time they made it back to the mission. It wasn't that cold, but the pool she'd tackled their suspect into hadn't been heated and her drenched clothes were clammy and clinging to her skin.
"I'm going to take a shower," she announced to Deeks, bypassing the bullpen and heading straight for the locker room. Somehow just the thought of standing beneath warm water made her feel even colder.
"You know, I can help you out with that," Deeks offered, trailing after her.
"I think I can handle it, babe." He continued to follow her anyway. She ignored him, stripping off the towels around her shoulder and waist and leaving them in a trail on the floor before she walked through the door. She heard it swing open a second time, just as she expected.
"But what if you miss a spot?" he asked. When she turned around, he was casually leaning against the wall, legs crossed at the ankles and her discarded towels dangling from one hand. As she suspected, he couldn't ignore the urge to pick up after her. Sometimes, having a neat freak for a husband had its perks.
"I'm wet and cold, not dirty," Kensi reminded with an arched eyebrow.
"Yeah, but all that chlorine. It's terrible for your skin." His voice lowered a notch on the word skin and despite herself, Kensi shivered again. This time not even a tiny bit from the chill. Of course he noticed, his eyes narrowing as he straightened up and slowly came towards her. "And your skin is always so soft and smooth."
He dropped the damp towels beside them and slowly smoothed his hands up her arms, stopping at her elbows. His hands were blissfully warm and she suddenly very much wanted them all over her.
"Mm, then what do you suggest?" She murmured, looping her arms around his neck. Her clothes were going to get him wet, but Deeks didn't seem to mind at all when she pressed up against him. He smirked down at her, his eyes and voice playful as he said,
"Oh, well I think it's going to take some very careful inspection and then maybe a loofah. Definitely some lotion." Kensi nodded agreeably, like anything he was saying made sense.
When he leaned in to kiss her, she arched her neck and he obligingly pressed his lips to the skin beneath her jaw. At the same time, he slipped his hands under her clinging shirt and slowly eased them up the sides of her back. Everywhere he touched left a path of heat and she pulled back with a soft groan, clasping the back of his head to guide him to her mouth.
Deeks didn't protest, eagerly returning her kiss as his hands wandered underneath her shirt and beneath the waistband of her jeans. She started to reach for the hem of his shirt, needing to touch his warm, bare skin-
"Hey, no making out in the locker rooms!" Callen called through the closed doors. "Hetty says it's an OSHA violation.
"Son of a-" Deeks hissed. He looked more annoyed at having been interrupted than potentially being caught.
"Hetty never said that," Sam interjected, sounding amused. "It might be frowned upon, definitely not advised, but I don't think there's an actual law against it."
"There should be."
"Deeks was just helping meā¦untangle my hair," Kensi called back lamely.
"I do not even want to know what that's a euphemism for," Callen said and Kensi could almost picture him shaking his head.
"Do you think they'll go away if we ignore them?" Deeks whispered, resting his forehead against hers. Kensi sighed deeply, running her hands over his biceps with mild regret.
"Probably not. And you might want to get out there before Eric and Nell join the crowd," she suggested, stroking his back a couple times before she released him. He groaned and opened the door. She heard Callen and Sam cheerfully harassing him halfway down the hall.
Kensi enjoyed a very warm and pleasant, but admittedly lonely, shower. When they got home, she'd have to dig out her very best lotion. She smiled at the thought.
A/N: We're just going to pretend that no one else in the building besides the team ever uses the showers so there's no chance they'd walk in.
