It was early in the morning when Jack awoke from a loud bang on his door. Too tired to get up, he decided to ignore it. Whoever it was would have to come back later.

To say he was exhausted was an understatement. Damn, he had not only worn her out, but she had also worn him out. Again, and again, and again. They just could not get enough of each other.

He opened his eyes to see her lying next to him, sleeping peacefully. It was a sight a would never get tired of. How she so calmly breathed in and out. The always so fierce and passionate Angelica Teach, the woman so many people feared, in utter calmness and tranquility sleeping in his bed – the love of his life, and now, his wife.

She was a hard nut to crack, but he was one of the very few people who knew her like the back of his hand. Her stubbornness and fiery temperament sometimes got the better of her, but he loved her for it. Moreover, he realized that the most complicated person in this relationship was, in fact, himself.

After all of these years, he had finally made her his. That one ring around his finger had a different meaning now; it was his wedding ring. He now was a married man – something he needed to get used to.

Jack's thoughts were disturbed once again when he heard another loud bang on his door. Apparently, and quite unfortunately, the person banging on his door had not left.

"Jack…" Angelica moaned, still half asleep but begging him to make the noise stop.

He realized that the only way to make this stop was to open the door.

He tried to get out of bed without bothering Angelica too much.

"Hang on a minute!" Jack groggily said to whoever was at his door. How late was it even? He felt like he only slept for three hours.

When he got up, he searched for his clothes on the floor. The room was a mess. Their clothes were everywhere. He tried to recollect where he had thrown their clothing, but he could not; it was too much of a blur.

Finally, he collected his trousers and his shirt. Near the door he found his boots and one of his many guns.

Upon having no idea who it could be, he opened the door only slightly whilst pointing his gun to whoever was at the door.

He put it down once he saw who it was, stepped out, and closed the door behind him.

"What the bloody hell are ye doing 'ere at this hour?" Jack rolled his eyes in frustration.

The bright sunlight hurt his eyes. Apparently, it was way later than he thought.

"What the hell took ye so long? Now, move, boy." Edward waved his hand, wanting Jack the move away.

Jack, who was leaning against his closed cabin door, was in no mood to move to open the door for his father, however.

"No."

"Why?" Edward squinted his eyes and looked at Jack suspiciously.

"Reasons," Jack replied.

Edward grinned, knowing there could be only one reason for this. "It almost seems like there be a woman in there..."

"Exactly," Jack replied.

He saw Gibbs standing on deck discussing something with some sailors. When Gibbs saw him, he mouthed "sorry".

Right. As if the man could not have simply told his father to come back later.

He made an annoyed face and then turned back to his father. "So, to what do I owe the pleasure of this visit?" he sarcastically spoke.

Edward opened his mouth to speak but a loud noise coming from Jack's cabin stopped him from doing so.

Jack immediately turned around and opened his door to see what had happened.

He found Angelica holding herself with one hand onto their bed with her other hand under her belly looking frightened. His chair was turned over and books were on the floor.

"What happened? Are ye alright?" Jack ran to her in panic. Did she fall? Was she hurt?

Angelica pointed to the chair. "!Maldita silla! I almost fell," she angrily hissed.

Before Jack could respond, their conversation was interrupted by the entrance of someone else.

"Ha..."

Jack rolled his eyes. It was his father speaking. Again.

He looked at Angelica, who looked back at him with worried eyes. Had they been caught? What did Edward know? She was in his cabin, barely dressed. Fortunately, she was wearing her dress, but that was all that could be said.

Their bed was a mess, the room was a mess. Angelica looked like she just woke up, which, she did. There was no way to explain this, especially considering the fact that his father knew about their past.

Wait. Suddenly, Angelica remembered. Edward had signed their marriage papers, so he must know they were together. However, she had no idea what else he knew. What about the treasure?

Jack took a deep breath. He looked at Angelica one more time before he finally turned around to find his father staring at the pair, grinning.

"What is it?" Jack said, somewhat annoyed that his father was still bothering him.

Edward just chuckled. "Aye, what is it?"

Jack followed his father's gaze. When Angelica realized what they were looking at, she gasped. She was not wearing her corset and she was holding her hand under her belly. It was clear as day.

"Oh… that…" It was all that Jack was able to say.

Angelica looked at Jack for help, but he seemed lost for words.

She rolled her eyes in frustration. If he would not say it, then she would.

"Edward…" she started.

Jack immediately looked at her. What the hell was she doing? They had not discussed this. He watched how she slowly approached his father.

"Yes, darling…" Edward replied.

Standing now in front of Edward – her now father-in-law, she realized – she sighed, nervously.

"That heir is coming sooner than Mabeltrude thinks… I'm with child."

"Mine," Jack was quick to add from the other side of the room.

Angelica rolled her eyes at this. Now he could talk?

"Yes, his," she confirmed.

Edward kissed her cheek. "I saw from the moment ye walked in, dear."

Angelica frowned upon hearing this. He had known all this time?

"You did?" she asked, confused.

Wait, who all knew about this? She turned around quickly to see Jack biting his nails, shrugging. Apparently, he really had not told his father about her pregnancy.

"Aye, sweetheart. That stupid fool thinks he be capable of hiding things from me, eh…" Edward pointed to Jack, who smiled back nervously as if he had been caught. "I came here for the papers as I be heading to town. Or did the lad not make ye his?" Edward spoke.

It was almost as if Jack was not in the room at all, the way they were talking about him.

"Oh no, that he did." Angelica walked over to his desk and handed him one of the papers.

She could not refrain from looking at the other ones once more. It was somewhat surreal to see their signatures together on a document such as this.

A knock on the door made Edward turn around slightly, but he turned back to inspecting the papers again when he saw who had opened the door. "Come in, Joshamee."

Gibbs closed the door behind him and started to smile when he saw the papers Edward was holding in his hands. "Ha, so he did it after all… Congratulations."

Angelica smiled in reply. She turned around to be met with Jack's dark eyes. It was funny to her how the infamous and quick Jack Sparrow suddenly became so nervous around his father when it came to issues such as this.

"Did it work?" Gibbs pointed to the chest. He was curious, of course, about the treasure.

Angelica opened the chest. Gibbs was amazed to see the amount of gold, jewelry, and other treasury items. "We divided it accordingly."

"Ah ha! I say we hand it out now, eh!"

Edward walked over to Jack and playfully slapped him. "I see ye tonight, son." He winked to Angelica, greeted Gibbs, and walked out.
